“You seem so lost today? What happened? You weren’t like this before we went downtown this morning?” Eunsun asked Kris.
He didn’t respond. He stared into blank space thinking about what he had seen earlier at the bubble tea shop. He thought he had completely gotten over you but seeing you with your son made him jealous and a little angry. The last four years hadn’t been any pleasant for him. He’d been in two relationships and none of them had worked out. How could you be so happy in your life while he was so miserable? He wanted to confront you and demand answers for all the questions he had.
“Oppaaa!” Eunsun shook him.
“Huh!” he pulled his head out of his deep thoughts and looked at her. She pouted and shifted in bed.
“What?” he said in a sort of irritating tone.
“Nothing!” she mumbled.
“Fine!” he said giving up without even trying. That was his problem and he still hadn’t realized it.
Painful memories from the past started registering in his head again. He remembered how he would nag you about everything and you never yelled back. You apologized even when it wasn’t your fault. He took your niceness as your weakness.
“Eunsun ah, I’m sorry,” he mumbled realizing that he had messed up three relationships he certainly didn’t want that to happen again.
“Whatever,” she replied making it clear that she was still angry.
Kris sighed and closed his eyes. He still had a lot on his mind and he needed to clear all of that first.
**********************************************************
A month later..
Kris jogged down an unfamiliar path. He decided to take a different route that day because he felt like he needed a change. The weather was chilly but he didn’t stop for once.
Going downhill, a familiar image captured his gaze. It was you and your son. You were walking him to school. After recovering from stumbling he began to follow you.
You stopped in front of a small building a while later. “Finish your lunch today or I won’t give you any from tomorrow,” you warned Eunsuk before giving him a kiss on the cheek.
“But everybody’s Umma’s gives them chips and biscuits and you always give me bread and eggs. Other kids make fun of me,” he pouted.
“Well, then they won’t be healthy like my little Eunsuk,” you ran your fingers through his hair and forced an encouraging smile on your face. “Now smile!”
A faint smile appeared on his face and he hurried inside the school. You sighed and got up to return but bumped into someone.
“Oh I’m so sorry,” you apologized, tucking your hair behind your ear. You looked up only to find Kris standing in front of you. This was the first time you’d seen him in four years. You’d never prepared yourself, as to what you would do if you ever saw him. Your heart sank to your stomach and you immediately looked away. You began to walk but he blocked you.
“I need to talk!” he said with a stern voice.
“I don’t have time,” you replied without making eye contact. You began to walk once again but he followed close behind.
“Go away Kris,” you warned.
“No!” he said pulling you into a small alley.
“What are you doing? People are watching!”
“Nobody is watching,” he said slamming his palm on the wall behind you. The fear you had of him four years ago started coming back.
“You left me without giving a warning and now you’re enjoying a happy life with someone else! ” he said grinding his teeth. “Those divorce papers, they..” he stopped and looked away. After a while he looked back at you.“How dare you? Do you know what I think? I think everything in that letter was a lie. Maybe you were cheating on me? Maybe you were carrying someone else’s child and so ..”
“Shut up Kris, just shut up!” you cut him short and pushed him. The anger that you’d kept inside of you for so long was finally coming out. He was accusing you of cheating on him when all you had done was to leave him for his happiness.
He advanced towards you but you stopped him.
“Stop it!” you glared. He glared back, his eyes burning with rage. A tear rolled out of your eyes but you wiped it immediately. You shook your head in disappointment and began to walk.
You stopped at the corner of the alley. The voice inside was poking you. You wanted him to know the truth. It was high time you told him but was that really going to change anything? Nevertheless, you went along with your heart.
“I never remarried,” you mumbled and began to walk again. Kris looked up immediately, his eyes wide open with surprise. Your words didn’t quite make sense to him.
“Never remarried?” he mumbled in confusion. Then something hit him. He began to recall the walk in the park before you left him…
Flashback:
“Doesn’t that couple look cute?” you asked.
“Ye,” he replied
“What do you think about having a baby?” you asked.
“Aish, too much responsibility. I think if we should have a baby it should at least be 2 to 3 years from now. We shouldn’t rush with everything.”
His mouth fell half open. It just dawned on him that you were trying to tell him that you were pregnant with his child. He lifted his hands and buried his face in them. ‘That child is my baby’ he thought as a tear rolled out of his eyes. He looked back up at your fading image in the fog. You were gone and once again you’d left him devastated and confused. He regretted yelling at you and accusing you. How were you ever going to forgive him now?
********************************************************
Kris paced back and forth in his room. He had to figure out a way to find you. There were still unanswered questions in his head. He was happy to find out that there was a living part of him in this world but deep down he was scared. Scared of what? He had no idea.
‘I should demand custody of my child. No, no! She will never agree. She has every right over our child. I was the irresponsible one. I pushed her away. But then again, she should have told me. I would have thought of something. I wasn’t just going to leave her. So should I go talk to her? Will she let me see him? Will she tell him that I’m his father? ……..More importantly will she take me back?’
“What’s wrong now?” Eunsun asked entering the room. Kris was still moving back and forth with wrinkles on his forehead.
“Not now! Eunsun!” he showed her the hand.
“What? I just asked you what was wrong. Stop yelling at me.”
“I’m not yelling at you.”
“Yes you clearly are.” She lifted her hands in frustration. “You know what I’m done with this.”
“Done with what?” Kris asked as she picked up her bag and shoes.
“I’m leaving.”
“What do you mean you’re leaving?” he grabbed her wrist.
She leaned in,” I’m done with you.” Kris’s hand slid away and before he could stop her, Eunsun was gone.
************************************************************
You were running a little late. You had just gotten home from work and it was already time to pick up Eunsuk. You heard a faint knock on the door.
“Hold on! I’m coming.” You said running towards the door while trying to wear your shoes. As the door opened, opposite you stood Kris and your son. Your eyes widened with shock but was quickly replaced by anger.
“What are you doing here?” you asked Kris.
“Umma, he told me he is my dad. Is that true?” your son asked innocently while licking his ice cream.
“Eunsuk, go to your room!” you said sternly. He looked at you with his big eyes not understanding what was happening. You took his hand out of Kris’s and began to walk him.
“_________ listen to me.”
“Please go away Kris,” you said as calmly as possible. The last thing you wanted to do was to fight in front of Eunsuk.
Kris followed you to Eunsuk’s room.
“Stay here!” you instructed your son and closed his door. Kris followed you back to the living room.
“What?” you snapped turning around. “Why are you here?”
He knew he dare not say that he wanted you back because that was just going to make you more angry. In fact he himself was confused as to what he wanted at the moment.
“I wanted to see my son,” he replied after a while.
“Meet your son!” you raised your eyebrows.
“Yes, my son! The son you never bothered telling me about. I have every right over him and you can’t keep him away from me like this.”
“Oh go away please!” you snickered. Kris tried to calm himself. He knew that yelling at each other was not going to help.
“_________,” he said softly. “Why did you never tell me? Why didn’t you tell me about him?”
“Would that have changed anything?” you questioned.
“Yes, it would have. It would have changed everything.”
“How?…Are you telling me that you would have taken responsibility for him?”
“Yes! He is my son. Of course I would have.”
“Really? Do you ever realize how you behaved back then? And frankly speaking I don’t see any difference even now.”
“How do you know I wouldn’t have? No matter what, you can’t deny the fact that I loved you. I was going to take care of him and you.”
“Loved me?” you leaned in closer to him. “If you loved me you would have come looking for me.” You began to cry. “Did you, even try for once?”
He didn’t know what to say. In fact he asked himself the same question. Why didn’t he look for you?
“Just leave it Kris. What’s happened has happened. I’ve moved on and I am sure you have too… so why don’t we…”
“I never signed the divorce papers,” he cut you short, leaving you in a shock.
“Huhhhh,” you gasped.
“I had hope!” he said with a crying face. For a second you saw in him the Kris that you’d met for the first time. The Kris who loved you deeply.
Your expressions softened. “Please come back to me. Let’s be a family again.” He said holding your hand. “I’ll make it right this time. I won’t ever hurt you again. I’ll make it work for us. Give me another chance.”
You kept shaking your head as more tears rolled out of your eyes.
“I want to be with you and with my son. The past years have not been easy for me. If you say that I didn’t think about you for once that would be wrong. Because I did think about you. Had I known I had a son with you, I would have come running, after for you.”
You looked up at him and gently slid your hand out of his grip. “That’s the problem. You would have come looking for me if you knew you had a son otherwise you would never be standing in this living room today.”
You’d left him speechless. He didn’t know what to say anymore. The tiny tinge of hope that he’d had was also gone now. He stood before you with his eyes fixed towards the floor.
“Please, just leave! Eunsuk and I are perfectly happy in our lives,” you said. You knew that was a lie. You were miserable. You needed someone but the truth was, you’d never stopped loving Kris. You couldn’t move on because all those years you had hope. And now that he was standing in front of you, you were throwing it all away once again. Kris began to walk out of the apartment. You collapsed on the ground and buried your face into your hands. You wanted to cry for the rest of the night.
“Umma,” Eunsuk placed his hand on your shoulder. You had no idea when he’d left his room. You looked up at him. He lifted his tiny hands to wipe the tears out of your eyes. He looked like he was about to cry too. “Is he not my appa?” he asked you as a tear rolled out of his eyes and fell on your hands. You felt like somebody sucked all the energy out of you. His words shot straight through your heart. ‘How can I be so selfish? I didn’t even think about Eunsuk and his future,’ you thought to yourself.
“I am so sorry,” you said and embraced him. “I’m so so sorry.” The sound of you and him crying, filled the silent room. You began to hate yourself for what you’d done and you knew you couldn’t forgive yourself for that. Eunsuk meant everything to you then why did you not think about?
“Don’t cry!” you stroked his head. “Everything will be fine.”
You consoled him but there was nobody to console you. The emptiness inside you, was howling like a rage monster. Moments passed away and both you and Eunsuk continued to cry in each other’s arms. His was too young for all of this. He had no idea what was going on. All he knew was that his mother was crying.
You felt a pair of hands on your shoulders. You pulled away from Eunsuk and turned around. Kris was right behind you, his eyes red and puffy. He’d never left. He’d been standing at the door watching you break down.
Right away he pulled both you and Eunsuk into a hug.
“Please ________!” he whispered into your ear. You felt so weak and tired. The battle you’d been fighting with yourself was finally over. You’d given up. He’d won once again but maybe this time it was victory for both of you. You rested your head against his chest and closed your eyes. Kris kissed Eunsuk and then you, wiping your tears away.
He was going to start over and this time he was going to make it right…

The stage was dark and you could hear the fans restlessly whisper. The soft ballad chosen especially for the end of the concert started playing and you knew that was your queue. You walked out on stage and stood in silence. A spotlight was brought on to you and you smiled out as the audience roared with cheers. Still standing there you wanted to simply take in everything that was going on. Your first concert was coming to a close and after this would feel like a new beginning. You wouldn’t be a rookie anymore and you wouldn’t feel so pressured that people wouldn’t like you. You were surrounded with people who adored you. When you thought about it all it touched you. You opened your eyes as the fans calmed down.
“Everyone………” here it comes “I…….” your voice started to shake. You were such a cry baby and you saw this coming.
“I….want to thank you all…………so much” your eyes were getting welled and you put your hand over your mouth as you began to cry.
“DON’T CRY! DON’T CRY!” the fans started chanting which made you cry more. Tears were streaming down your face and you suddenly felt a pair of arms around you. You could hear the fans scream when you head was put into a shoulder. You cry a little then pulled back to look up. SungJong had come out and was looking at you.
“Don’t cry, I’m here.” he said with a big smile. You laughed through the tears.
“Everyone, I love you all so much. I love your support and I hope you support me in the future.” SungJong stood behind you, his arms wrapped around your neck and his head on you left side. He was smiling like an idiot and you were laughing. The crowd was shouting and going ‘awwwwwwwww’ the whole time.
“All of you will never leave me right?”
“NAE!!!!!” they all shouted.
“Nae!!” SungJong grabbed the mic from you.
“Everyone, thank you so much!! Let’s support _________ forever!!”
He pecked you on the cheek and you two walked off stage after bowing.
You knew you were always loved.

So I’m a cry baby and today INFINITE made me cry as did kpopfantasyworld so crying seemed to fit for this one. ^_^
I woke up crying, because I saw a really sad dream. The first thing I did was to open my laptop and start writing it down. I’m sorry if it brings you all to tears but I just had to write this one. [I never thought I was going to cry writing a scenario]
PRESENT DAY:
The door to the hospital opened and a guy in his tux with a girl closely following behind in her white bridal dress, walked swiftly through the pool of people. He seemed to be in a hurry. She tried hard to keep up with him. She tried to get a hold of his arm but he gently slid it out of her grip. He kept looking at his watch nervously, pushing everybody aside that came in his way. Tears were forming in the corner of his eyes. He breathed heavily and lifted his hand to cover his mouth. He knew his world was going to shatter into pieces a few minutes from then. If he could wish for one thing, that was for time to stand still…
FLASHBACK:
“Oppa can you come fix my socks for me? They keep falling down!” you said as you tried to dry the wet paint off of your hands.
Jinyoung didn’t respond but instead continued to talk to the reporter.
“Oppa!” you called him again. He looked up at you. He seemed to be angry. His glare meant that you needed to be quiet at the moment. He was clearly having an important interview and you shouldn’t have been there at the first place.
You pouted and went back to drying your hands. Your vision got hazy for a second. You held on to the table that stood opposite you and shook your head. It wasn’t anything new to you. You were used to getting mild headaches. You shook your head and smiled to yourself. This is what you did to tell encourage yourself that death wasn’t as bad as it seemed. It was going to come sooner or later. For you it was going to be a little sooner than you’d ever expected it to be.
The interview finished. Jinyoung got up and followed the lady close behind. It was a last minute schedule that his manager had set up for him. He didn’t seem to be very excited about it. You thought it better to remain back stage and wait for him to come back.
***********************************
The interview went longer than you’d expected. He’d promised to take you out somewhere that day but you were losing your patience. You looked at the clock repeatedly. Time seemed to be moving extra slow that day.
“Oppa!” you mouthed the words as you heard his footsteps making its way back to the small room. He entered and looked at you. Instead of coming and hugging you like he always did, he rolled his eyes and walked into the bathroom. ‘Is he still mad at me?’ – You thought to yourself. You recalled what you’d done earlier and it didn’t seem to be something extremely off limits. Then why was he acting like that. You calmed yourself an waited because you knew as soon as he came out of the bathroom he was going to apologize and give you a quick peck on the cheek.
Jinyoung came out of the bathroom and began packing his stuff.
“Oppa!” you called out. He didn’t bother responding.
“Are you mad at me?” you asked. He didn’t even care to look at you.
“Say something,” you said sounding frustrated.
“It was an important interview ________. You didn’t need to do such silly stuff. She’s a reporter. She can add anything to the interview to make it more spicy for the audience.” He suddenly snapped back. You were surprised at his reaction. You thought he was going to apologize for being mean to you but instead he was mad at you.
You lowered your gaze, not being able to make eye contact with him. He went back to cleaning up the little room the two of you would soon have to leave. You buried your face into your lap and tried to clear your mind. Maybe you did act a little childish. Asking him to do stuff for you in front of the interviewer. Yep, that could be a little embarrassing for a guy. Especially a guy like Jinyoung, who cared a little too much about his image. You were a little upset too. He didn’t need to be that angry but nevertheless you knew you had to apologize.
You got up and walked close behind him. Took the cloths that he was about to stuff in the bag and began folding them. He glanced at you and then quickly looked away.
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled. He sighed and turned to pick up his important files.
“Will you not forgive me?” you asked. He pretended to ignore you once again and focused on scanning the room to see if anything was left.
You couldn’t take it anymore. You lifted your hand and grabbed his wrist.
“Not even, if I only have another month to live?” you asked. He turned around and looked at you. There were tears in your eyes. Inside, you were regretting what you’d said because you had promised him you would never bring up that topic again. Somehow the words had made their way to your lips.
Jinyoung pulled you into a tight hug. Minutes passed away and he didn’t let go of you. You could hear his soft sniffles. It hurt him, just like the first time when you gave him the news six months ago.
“Don’t say that, please..” he whispered.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean too..” he didn’t wait for you to finish. He pulled back, wiped the tears out of your eyes and then his own.
“Let’s go out and get some fresh air.”
*************************************************************
“I like the weather today. It’s neither too chilly, nor too sunny.” You tried to make small talk but Jinyoung seemed to be lost in his own thoughts. He didn’t seem to have recovered from the event earlier.
You didn’t like seeing him like this. You hadn’t seen him smile for the past six months. A little part of you regretted giving him the news. But then again, if you hadn’t told him you would have regretted just as much. He sort of became your strength. You wouldn’t have been able to cope with the news had he not been besides you. He kept hope alive and made you promise that you were never ever going to bring it up. In his mind, he’d created an alternate world where Leukemia could be treated. He truly believed that you were going to be fine, soon.
“Can you buy me some cotton candy?” you asked looking at the vendor walking around the park.
“It’s not good for you,” he made a brief statement before enveloping himself in his thoughts once again.
“Oppa, pleaseee!!” you whined and nudged him. Jinyoung suddenly went down on his knees. He lifted both your hands and took of the ring that you’d been wearing on your index finger. He carefully slipped it back into your ring finger.
“Marry me __________,” he said. Those three words ran like a sword through your heart.
“Whaaaa!” you gasped. “No, no no! I can’t do this.” You began taking the ring out of your finger.
“Please don’t ________.” He stopped you and held your hand. “Why can’t you do this?”
“I can’t! I just can’t.” you said and quickly turned around. He forced you to turn back around and face him.
“I want to spend each and every moment of my life with you.”
“And you know that’s not possible,” you snapped back.
“Don’t say that!”
“It’s the truth Oppa. Accept it! and besides..” you trailed. Tears started forming in your eyes once again.
“Besides what?” Is there something else that you’re not telling me?” he asked. You shook your head and turned around to walk. You knew it wasn’t the right time to give him this news.
“__________,” he pulled you back. “Tell me!” Instead of saying anything you hugged him tightly. He stroked your hair and waited for you to say something. He knew it wasn’t going to be a good news. You’d stopped giving him good news a long time ago.
“Yuri loves you. She loves you a lot,” you finally said.
“What?” he pulled back. His eyes were wide open in surprise. Yuri was your best friend. You didn’t know she’d developed secret feelings for Jinyoung. When she realized that was the case she tried to distant herself from you two. You asked her repeatedly but she would never give an explanation. She, however had to come back into your life when you told her about your disease. Only a few days later she confessed her feelings for Jinyoung to you. You were mad, very mad but could you really blame her? Instead of telling her to leave, you took the moment as an opportunity. You knew you were going to die soon so it would be better to leave behind someone who would love Jinyoung as much as you did.
**************************************************************
“Want some ice cream?” Jinyoung asked slipping in bed besides you.
“Oh my God, look at that big bowl! Are you going to eat all of that?” you pouted.
“Of course not. Here!” he shoved a spoonful into your mouth without giving a warning. You giggled as you swallowed it down. Both you and him took a spoon each and slowly finished the big bowl. He placed the empty article on the night stand and turned to you.
“What?” you asked as he stared into your eyes. He ran his fingers around the dark circles under your eyes, then your cheek bones that had started showing due to weakness. You looked worn out. He leaned in and kissed you on your sweet lips. He slid his hands behind your back and pulled you closer to him.
In the back of your head a little voice kept poking you. It had been a weak since the episode in the park. Both you and him avoided it ever since. Jinyoung acted like, it never even happened. You knew time was running out. You had to bring it up once again before you were admitted into the hospital.
You pulled back and gasped for air.
“Sorry! I got carried away.” Jinyoung said scratching his head. A faint smile appeared on his face. Your heart skipped a beat. You were going to hate yourself for ruining it.
“Oppa! So what have you thought about Yuri?” you asked hesitatingly. Immediate distress appeared on his face. He narrowed his eyebrows and looked away.
“I thought we weren’t going to discuss that,” he said.
“Time’s running out.”
“No it’s not,” he clenched your hand.
“Oppa!” you said calmly. “Marry her.”
His eyes opened once again in surprise. “Are you out of your mind?” he yelled.
You curled up under the sheets. Jinyoung got out of the bed and stood up placing his hand on his forehead.
“__________, you have got to stop doing this to me.”
“You know it’s for the better oppa!”
“No it’s not.” He turned around and grabbed your hands. “I want to marry you and no one else!”
“What? For three weeks?” you snapped shrugging your hands out of his. “At least you have a future with her.”
Both you and him remained quiet. You knew well that he wasn’t going to listen to you but you had to convince him somehow.
“It’s for the better. The sooner you understand that the better.” A tear rolled out of your eyes. “I can’t promise if she’ll love you as much as I do but at least I’ll be satisfied that I’m leaving you with someone who will always take care of you. I can’t bear to see you like this. I want you to be happy. Please! Do this for me.” You buried your face in your hands and began sobbing. It was really hard for you to say all those words. In fact you had never imagined saying those words to him. You’d always planned your future with him. Getting married, having kids, going on vacations. But the Higher Being had different plans for you.
“It’s not easy for me either,” you murmured. You felt his arms around you. He embraced you and stroked your hair. You rested your head on his chest for a long time. So long that you didn’t know when you fell asleep.
**********************************************************
PRESENT DAY:
You lay on your hospital bed, playing with the ring on your ring finger. A faint smile appeared on your face as you thought about Yuri and Jinyoung getting married. You wished you could be there to see them but you were in your last stage. You couldn’t even move your body.
The door to your room slammed open and Jinyoung walked in. You turned around to see who it was. A gasp escaped you as you saw him walk towards you in his tuxedo. You wanted to cry and hug him. You wanted to escape death and just run away with him.. You felt like time stood still as both you and him looked into eachother’s longing eyes. He wanted to get mad at you for leaving him alone in this world but more than that he wanted to hug and shower you with kisses. He wanted to hold on to you and never let go.
The door opened once again and Yuri walked in. She looked beautiful in the white dress. Her eyes were just as puffy as his.
“Don’t cry you guys. It’s your wedding day” you said with a meek smile. Your words only made them cry more. Jinyoung sat beside you and held your hand tightly. You couldn’t hold it in anymore. Tears flowed out of your eyes, like they were never going to stop.
“Oppa! Please hug me one last time,” you requested. The next second you found yourself wrapped around his arms. You looked at Yuri but the light began to fade in your eyes. You gasped for breath. Jinyoung pulled away and kept repeating your name.
“You’re going to be fine.Okay!” he stroked your hair. His voice seems distant now. You lifted your left hand to look at the ring one last time and then looked back at him. He couldn’t take it anymore. He knew he was losing you. Yuri placed a hand on his shoulder. He didn’t know what to do so he got up and hugged her.
“Stop her,” he kept whispering. A faint smile appeared on your face and the memories of you and him meeting for the first time, him kissing you in the rain, taking you to the movies, falling asleep in your arms started playing before your eyes. You could see the light. It was time for you to leave.
“Oppa! “ you whispered one last time before death took you into its arms.
*********************************************************
10 years later
“I’m sorry I couldn’t find white lilies,” Jinyoung said placing the red roses them on your grave.
“I’m sure she’ll forgive you.” Yuri said with an encouraging smile on her face. Jinyoung smiled for a brief second and then began walking. Yuri followed close behind. She looked at him with surprise as he held her hand. Jinyoung turned around one last time to look at your grave.
The light air brushed the flowers as if telling him that you approved it.

Here’s part 1 for the people who haven’t read it yet
.
.
.
“_________ah, why did you leave the party so early?” your mother came and sat beside you. You didn’t bother turning around and looking at her. You knew she was going to get worried seeing your puffy eyes and then a thousand questions were going to follow, asking you what was wrong.
“I had a headache so I left,” you mumbled from under the sheets.
“Alright,” she said. You could hear disappointment in her voice.
“Umma,” you stopped her. “Is there something you want to tell me?”
“Aniyo.”
“Please, tell me,” you insisted. She sat beside you once again and sighed.
“Yixing’s father proposed today,” she said. You felt somebody had just dropped a bomb on you. This was it. Fate’s way of telling you that your little love story was never going to happen. It was also a punishment for you because you knew well that it was your fault.
“_______ah, say something,” she nudged you. She started to pull the sheet from your face but you clenched it tightly.
“That’s great,” you said trying to cheer her up.
“Ye,” she sighed. Something seemed missing. She didn’t sound too happy. You were going to wait and ask her the next morning. At the moment you just needed some time to yourself.
**************************************************************
You looked at the thousands of unanswered missed calls on your phone. You wanted to pick up the phone when he called but you knew it was only going to lead to disaster. It had been a month and you hadn’t seen him. You changed your bus routes. You stopped eating at the usual restaurants. You were doing anything and everything, to avoid him.
“Ummmaa I’m home,” you yelled through the corridor. “I didn’t bring bread because I think it’s going to start raining soon but I’ll be sure to pick…” you stood stunned in the living room as you saw Yixing, his father and your mother.
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” you choked on your own voice. “Umm, I’m going to go change.”
Your mother gave you a warm, comforting smile. It seemed like she had something to say. “Don’t change. Come sit down with us.”
“I brought Yixing here too today,” his father began speaking. “Because both your mom and I wanted to make this announcement.” You knew exactly what he was going to say. You dreaded it and you hated yourself for dreading it. “We are going to get married soon.” He said with such excitement holding your mother’s hand that for a second you felt jealous. You were jealous of their happiness.
“Well what do you guys think?” he asked bringing you back to reality.
“Huh,” you responded as Yixing shook your elbow. “That’s great! When?”
“Sometime next month. We were thinking, the second Saturday?” he asked. “Oh and I’d suggest that you and your mother start packing. You guys will soon be moving in.”
You hadn’t even thought about that. Living in the same house with a person who you loved and having to call him your step brother. You couldn’t do it. You just couldn’t. You excused yourself politely and left the living room.
“It’s getting chilly out here,” Yixing said opening the door to the tiny balcony.
“Please go away,” you said without looking at him.
“You don’t have to hide those tears from me,” he said, now standing right besides you. He slid his hand around your waist. You tried to struggle but he won. You were now wrapped around his arms tightly.
“I feel pathetic. I felt jealous when they were giving me the news. I was jealous of their happiness. Can you imagine this? I’m such a horrible person.” You said between your sniffles.
“Shhhhhh,” don’t say that he said and kissed you on your temple.
“I can’t do this. I just can’t.” you said. He rested his chin on your head. You could feel his tears running down your hair. You pulled back and looked at him.
“I’ve loved once and I’ve lost. I don’t want that to happen to me again,” he said while shaking his head. “I don’t want to lose you.”
You tried to slip your hands out of his trembling hands but he didn’t let go. He didn’t want too. He was trying his best to keep you from going.
“Don’t you see how happy they are? Do you really want to do this to them?” you asked.
“I don’t want to let go off you ______.”
“You have too. For them.”
“No!” he shook his head. “I’d given up on life but you showed me that I could keep moving on. You gave me hope. You made me fall for you. And now you’re telling me that you want to leave?”
“I know it’s my fault but I don’t want it to affect them. Besides I’m leaving for Canada after the wedding.”
“What” he gasped. “No, no no!” he repeated pulling you back into an embrace. “You can’t do that.”
“I have too.” You began to cry once again. “You and I both know it won’t work like this.”
He pulled back and joined his soft lips to yours. Your wet cheeks touched his. He slid his hand to the back of your head and pinned you against the wall.
“We shouldn’t do this,” you said between kisses.
“Please don’t stop me,” he replied.
“You’ll find someone better than me.”
“I’ll never find anyone like you.”
“Oppa..”
“Shhh,” he shussed you by reconnecting his lips to yours.
***********************************************************
“Seriously, I don’t understand the need for me to try on a wedding dress too. It’s your wedding not mine,” you whined as your mother pushed you into the dressing room. You were already annoyed at the fact that she’d invited Yixing. You could barely make eye contact with him after that night in the balcony. You wanted to make it pretty clear that there was nothing between you and him.
“Yixing, do you want to try something too?”
“Uh, no thank you,” he rejected politely. “Oh come on, try this one. I’m sure your father will love it.” He surrendered to your mother’s pleading and took the tuxedo from her.
You and him both got out of the dressing room at the same time, coincidently.
“Why are you wearing that?” you asked him and turned to face your mother. You were a little surprised as you saw Yixing’s dad standing beside her.
“Now don’t they look perfect?” he asked your mother.
“Perfect indeed,” she said with a big smile on her face.
Both you and him were confused.
“What do you mean?” you asked. Your mother stepped forward and cupped your face with her hands.
“Did you really think that you were ready to make such a big sacrifice at such a young age? How dare you think of my happiness before yours.”
“Umma what are you saying?” you interrupted.
“Shhhh,” she placed her finger on your lips. A tear rolled down her cheek. Your heart sank. You could bear anything in the world except see your mother cry. “Yixing’s father and I have already received the joys of being with someone we loved in our lives but you two,” she now looked at Yixing too. “It’s your first time and you guys are throwing it away like nothing had happened between you.”
“Umma how did you?” you asked really embarrassed.
“We saw you two in the balcony the other night.”
You were disgusted by your existence. You couldn’t do one small good deed for your own mother who had sacrificed so much for you. You hugged her. “I never meant for any of this to happen..” you said between sobs.
“I know honey, I know.” she stroked your hair. “I just want you to be happy.”
“We want both of you to be happy.” Yixing’s father added. “I’ve seen my son go through a lot and I certainly don’t want to be the reason for his misery.”
You pulled back and looked at Yixing. He seemed hurt too. He felt just as bad as you did.
“I’m so sorry appa,” he mumbled not being able to make eye contact.
“Don’t be,” he said pushing you towards him. “Look at the two of you. You guys make a perfect couple.” He wiped the tears out his eyes. “You guys deserve to be together.”
The more they said that, the more you hated yourself.
“________ah, don’t hate yourself for this.” Your mother said. You were surprised as to how she could read your thoughts.
“He loves you a lot.” She said while nodding. “Do it for me.”
You felt Yixing hold your hand and interlace his fingers into yours. You were still unsure of what to do. He, without any hesitation planted a kiss on your cheek.
You heard your mother and his father chuckle.
“They are so innocent and pure,” she said.
“Yes they are,” he replied.
A smile spread on your face. You tightened your grip on Yixing’s hand and looked up at him. He was looking right back at you with a reassuring smile.
You didn’t have to leave after all..

You walked into the house, throwing your hand bag off to Narnia. You took off your shoes and left them in the corridor. You looked at your mother for a quick second but continued walking. Just then something hit you. She was smiling. She was smiling looking at something on her phone. Last time you saw her smiling was five years ago when your appa was still alive. You slowly walked up to her and sat beside her.
“Umma..”
“Huh?” she jumped up in surprise.
A smile spread on your face as she tried to hide her phone. You felt like your role had been reversed. Usually you were the one hiding your phone from her.
“Seriously?” you raised your eyebrows.
“When did you get home?” she asked.
“Just now..” you mumbled.
“How was work?”
“I’m quitting soon. I hate this job,” you said with frustration.
She nodded, pretending to listen but you knew well that in the back of her head she was thinking something else. Something far too important, hence the faint smile on her face.
“Umma,” you shook her.
“Aish, I’m listening,” she made a face.
“Just tell me what’s going on. You and I both know you won’t be able to hide it forever.”
Her smile disappeared for a second but she immediately recovered it.
“I think it’s time I tell you.”
“Time? What? What are you talking about?”
“Shhhhh..” she nodded her head and made you sit next to her on the couch.
“________, I’ve been seeing this guy for a while ..” she felt your hand slip out of her. You felt a slight twinge of pain. You’d always seen your umma with your appa. They had to be together, always. “Well sort of ishhh,” she corrected herself.
“What do you mean? For how long?” you asked after a while.
“Five months.”
Your mouth fell open. Five months and you didn’t have a single clue about it. Disappointment made its way to your face and you turned sideways to hide the forming tears. Both you and her sat in silence for a long time. You could see her playing with her fingers. She did that when she was nervous.
You raised your head slightly to look at her. The face that was shining brightly a half hour ago was dull. The life that you’d seen on it was gone once again. It suddenly hit you, how selfish you were being. Her happiness was above all. At the moment, her feelings were more important. It was her life and she deserved to be happy. She had lived in agony for the past five years. If life was giving her a second chance than you had no right to come in her way.
You slowly slid your hand on top of hers. She immediately looked at you. You turned to her and held her face.
“So when am I seeing him?” you asked and winked to avoid getting teary eyed. A smile spread on your mothers face and she embraced you.
“Soon.. very soon,” she whispered to you.
****************************************************************
“Tuck in your shirt properly,” your mother nagged you as the two of you waited for the door to open.
“Umma I’m not a teenager anymore. Stop doing that,” you pouted.
She smiled at you. “And did I mention that he also has a s…” before she could finish, the door opened and a guy much much younger than your mother stood on the opposite side.
You gave him a strange look. Your mother could not be seeing him. He was far too young for her. In fact he seemed to be around your age. He smiled at the two of you and moved aside so both you and her could enter.
“________ah, come in,” your mother pulled you. You remained your eye contact with him. He seemed to be getting a little uncomfortable with the way you were looking at him.
“Annyeonghaseyo,” you heard a voice say from behind. You turned around, to find an older guy entering the living room. It finally dawned on you. Your mother was trying to tell you that he had a son.
You greeted him and all of you settled down. He seemed like a really nice guy, a little dominating but nice.
“Yixing, why don’t you show her around?” he asked his son, sensing the awkward atmosphere in the room.
‘Yixing’ got up immediately as if waiting for someone to tell him to leave. It seemed like somebody had sucked the life out of him. Still, there was something about him that was attracting you towards him. For a while, you forgot why you were at their house.
“Come on,” he mumbled walking past you. You got up and followed.
“There really isn’t anything to show,” he said after showing you the balcony and then stepping into his own room.
You took a deep breath and looked around. The room was plain with only a few fixed artifacts. You hesitated but then sat on his bed. You felt him cringe a little but he came and sat beside you too.
“Why the flat face?” you asked. He didn’t respond but continued to stare into space. You felt like you were bothering him. Maybe he was just as upset as you were when you first found out about your parents. You thought for a while and began again.
“Listen, I know it’s a little upsetting to see our parents move on in life but I think we should both take a step back and let them figure this out. We should be happy for them.”
Still no response. Maybe you were just annoying him. You thought it better to just get up and leave. You were at the door when he mumbled something.
“What?” you turned around and asked.
“I’m happy for them,” he said pulling a fake smile. You could still see how upset he was. You went back and sat beside him.
“It’ll be alright soon,” you tried to comfort him. You felt him slide a little. You didn’t realize that you’d been sitting a little too close to him. You looked at him from the corner of your eyes. There was a mysterious aura. You wanted to know what was going on inside his head.
“________, Yixing, dinner is ready,” you heard your mother’s voice.
“We should get used to that,” you said with a cheeky smile. He looked at you with a flat face once again. You could see that he was trying hard to smile but something inside of him was stopping him.
***************************************************
“So do you like him?” you mom asked as the two of you settled on the couch. You were relieved that you were finally back home.
“He’s great,” you said but your thoughts were elsewhere. You were still thinking about Yixing.
“What do you think about Yixing?” she asked.
“Him? Why him?” you asked defensively.
“I might need your help with something.” You looked at her so she could finish. “Yixing’s father is very worried about him.”
“He should be. There is clearly something wrong with him” you rolled your eyes.
“________, I’m serious.”
“What is it?” you asked.
“He just got out of a two year relationship so he is really devastated.”
“Whaaaaaa,” you gasped. She nodded apologetically.
“He wants you to hang out with him some more. He feels that you can make him feel better especially since the two of you will soon be siblings.”
You wished she hadn’t said that. You had found him very charming and attractive the moment you saw him. How was this going to work out?
******************************************************
You secretly wished he wouldn’t pick up his phone. One bell, two, three.. you were about to hang up when he suddenly picked up.
“Hello!”
“Uh Hi,” you choked. “Umm I don’t think you remember me but I came over to your house with my mother a few days ago.”
“Ye, I remember.”
“So I was wondering if you wanted to hang out or something?” you asked.
“Hang out?” he repeated in form of a question.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to. I mean I totally understand what..” you bit your tongue.
“Where do you want to go,” he asked.
“Sun set park?” you asked.
“Okay I’ll be there,” he said and hung up.
**************************************************
You looked around for thirty minutes but there was no sign of Yixing. He stood you up. You weren’t surprised at all. His attitude was getting the best of him.
“Looking for someone?” he asked suddenly coming up behind you. You jumped around clenching your fist to calm your nerves.
“Did I scare you?” he asked stuffing his mouth with cotton candy. He seemed a lot better than last time. Something was clearly wrong with him.
“Did you get me some?” you asked.
“You can have this one,” he offered. You took some and shoved it in your mouth. The two of you began walking.
“So how’s everything?” you asked.
“Great,” he nodded. You didn’t know what else to say. You felt very awkward around him. You were going to give it another shot so you began to speak but he immediately cut you off.
“You don’t have to do this.”
“Do what?” you asked.
“This!” he said now turning to you. “Do you really think I wouldn’t know that my dad told you to do this?”
You felt embarrassed. You didn’t quite know how to answer his question so instead you looked at the ground.
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled.
“Don’t be.”
“No I’m sorry that she left you,” you said. You could feel him cringe a little but he recovered immediately. He didn’t utter a single word. You wanted to look at him but the situation wasn’t allowing you to do that.
“I’ve moved on,” he said but his voice chocked.
“You don’t have t lie to me,” you said. He settled on a bench and buried his face in his hands. “I loved her a lot,” he murmured after a while. You wanted to comfort him. In your heart, you felt extreme hatred for the girl who’d left him like this. He seemed to be so broken. You had this sudden urge to hug him and that’s exactly what you did.
“You’ll move on,” you whispered to him.
**************************************************************
Four months passed by in a breeze. Having lunch with Yixing became a routine for you now. You had no idea he worked in the office opposite yours. In fact you had started to love work once again. He seemed a lot happier to now. Sometimes when he felt generous, he would gift you with a faint smile. That’s all you needed. You just wanted him to be happy. A guy as charming as him deserved to be happy.
“Guess who?” someone asked placing their hands on your eyes.
“Are you really going to do this with me?” you said while giggling. He chuckled as he removed his hands and sat across from you.
“Are you coming to the party tonight?” he asked. You nodded.
“Great! I’ll introduce you to all of my friends.” You nodded once again staring at him. His sweet, honey like voice always melted in your eyes. The shine in his eyes, the faint smile on his lips and glowing skin always captivated you. Little did you know, what you were getting yourself into.
*********************************************
“Having fun?” he asked handing you a glass of juice.
“ Ye,” you said trying to avoid his eyes. “Uh, I need to go use the bathroom.” You immediately excused yourself. Earlier that day, after lunch you’d come to a realization that staying around Yixing was going to ruin your life. You had no idea when you’d fallen for him. You’d fallen hard because every time you saw him your heart ached. You knew you couldn’t ever be with him.
You were taken aback when you found him in the room as you got out of the bathroom.
“Why are you avoiding me?” he asked.
“Avoiding? What are you talking about?” you tried to bring out your playful side. Your eyes wandered from one corner of the room to the other nervously. The very next second Yixing grabbed your hand and pinned you to the wall. He connected his lips to yours. For a brief second you had no idea what was happening. You were kissing him back. You suddenly pushed him back.
“We can’t do this..” you said as tears began rolling out of your eyes.
You waited for him to say something but he didn’t. You couldn’t stay there any longer. It was time for you to leave.

So while I was writing this I realized that there was NO WAY POSSIBLE that I could write the whole scenario in one part. The plot is too sensitive therefore I couldn’t rush with it. I’ve taken the liberty to make a TWO PART scenario [I hope you don’t bash me for this anon] and to the other I hope you guys like this!
No I don’t follow her but I have read one of her stories and she is a pretty AMAZING writer [Since the story drove me to tears]. I saw that you sent a similar message to one of my friends and it just makes me sad. How can you/ or anyone else make assumptions about someone on tumblr? [If you have personal hate towards someone I suggest you keep it to yourself] because NO BODY deserves to be treated like this. If you are trying to create some sort of fight between scenario writers than Im sorry that’s not going to work either because we are all very supportive of each other. [I know most my followers write] . So next time please don’t send me messages like this because the won’t work for me and you’ll just mess up someone’s day. I can only imagine what she must be feeling right now and if you do want to send such messages then I’d suggest that you do it without going anon. At least people won’t laugh at your message while reading it :|
Have a good day.

Just walking down the street you couldn’t be happier. The sun was out and you were wearing your favorite outfit. The best feeling you had in a long time. Things had been stressful lately with starting to become a trainee and working towards becoming a singer. It wasn’t going to be easy and you knew that. When you were about to turn the corner you were suddenly grabbed. The pair of hands grabbed your arm and covered your mouth. You struggled to get away, but you were just too weak. This person was obviously much stronger than you and had pulled you into and alley way. You tried to turn and look at your kidnapper.
“ANDWAE!!!” He yelled and turned you around. He put a blindfold over your eyes and began walking you back further into the alley. He wasn’t forcing you and you figured you should just not fight with him. It was useless. You heard a door open and you stepped over a threshold into a building. Right now you were just guessing your surroundings, but the floor was sort of soft, not like carpet. It was like wood, but bouncy. You were stopped and let go of.
“Where am I?” You went to take off the blindfold and when you did it was pitch black. No lights. Your eyes didn’t even adjust. You started to walk forward when your foot hit a box. You knelt down and blindly opened the box. You felt a water bottle and some other box. When you opened that one it had crackers in it. Not knowing what was happening and too scared to move to far away, you slowly ate three crackers and a few sips of water. You had no idea if you would get more food. Suddenly there were bright green words on the wall, which was further away then you thought.
“EAT” is all it said and then it was gone.
“Can I eat it all?” You yelled out.
“YES” flashed on the wall. You proceeded to eat all the crackers and drank all the water. In the bottom of the box of crackers you felt two small round things.
“EAT” flashed on the wall again.
“What are these?” you questioned.
“EAT” flashed again. You weren’t going to question so eat ate them. Your eyes started closing and soon you fell to sleep on the ground.
____________________________________
You awoke to find yourself in some type of vehicle. You were only awake for enough time to see light around you when you fell back asleep.
__________________________________
The next time you woke up you were in the same place as before. You stood up and suddenly a light illuminated you. There was a microphone stand in front of you. The word “SING” was displayed on the wall. You were so confused and scared now and you wanted answers.
“Where am I? Why am I here? What’s going on??” you started almost crying and whimpering when a pop scared you and a distorted voice came on.
“Do not be afraid.” The person’s english was broken.
“I am though. I don’t know what is going on. Why should I sing?”
“Just sing. Please? I haven’t hurt you this whole time have I?”
The voice waited for an answer.
“I guess your right. I will sing on one condition………..you sing first.” There was a long silence after you said that.
Oh baby stay with me nae gyeoteman isseo
Jwo nega nae jeonbuyeotdan marya-a-a, a-a-a, a-a-a
Stay in my heart
Your eyes widened as the voice sang from MBLAQ’s ‘Stay’.
Stay in my heart
You sang back the end. You then started singing on your own.
U make me cry (neon)
Naega saraganeun iyu
Jebal nal tteonajima
Just tell me why (why)
Nunmureul dakkajwo malhaejwo I’m so crazy (yeah)
Sorichyeo bulleo (bulleo) keuge oechyeo bulleo (bulleo)
Ige kkeuti aniya neomu apa aiya
Bokbatchyeo bulleo (bulleo) jebal nareul beorijima baby
The pop signaled the voice was going to speak again you stepped back from the mic. Then stepped forward again as you thought of something.
“Why am I here?” There was a long silence before the voice answered.
“Because……………………..I think I love you.” This took you by surprise.
“How can you love me? I’m not pretty, I have so many things wrong with me……….how?”
“I realized, when I watched you dancing and singing and goofing around, that you had the most perfect imperfections.”
You thought about what the voice said………….dancing and singing and goofing around……………you were at a loss. One by one the lights started illuminating. When the room was lit you looked around and knew exactly where you were. The stage you auditioned on. All the memories of that day came back and as you thought you didn’t even notice the figure sitting behind you. When you realized and looked back, you eyes almost fell from your head when you saw him.
“Chang Seon…………….” your voice was barely audible. He stood up with the stupidest smile on his face.
“Why?” you were cut off as he put his finger over your mouth.
“Because you are perfectly imperfect.”

“________ah, are you in here?” Mir poked his head inside your room. “There you are!” a smile spread on his face.
You rolled out of bed and looked up. “What are you doing here?”
“I came to check on you,” he replied.
“I’m fine,” you pouted and rolled your eyes.
“You left the front door open again,” he made a face.
“I’m still alive aren’t I? So what’s the big deal?” you raised your eyebrows.
“Okay okay! Let’s forget about that.” Mir pulled a smile and hugged you. “Let’s go out somewhere.”
You shook your head and pulled away.
“Come on, it’s the first day of spring. Don’t you want to enjoy the sunlight?”
“Aniyo,” you pouted and walked into the bathroom. You were hoping he’d be gone by the time you came out of the bathroom but he was still there. He held up a light orange and yellow dress.
“Wear this. It’ll look nice on you,” he winked.
“Oppa, I don’t want to go,” you tried to remain politely.
“Why not? You weren’t having a good day yesterday so I was hoping you’d be feeling better today.”
“I am feeling better. I just don’t want to go out anywhere.”
“________ is there something you’re not telling me?”
He asked with such sincerity that you just wanted to hug him and sob for the rest of the day. He was the closest person to you. You wanted to ball out all of your feelings to him but you didn’t want to disturb him. You knew well that guys couldn’t be sympathetic no matter how hard they tried. Nevertheless you didn’t want to disappoint him. He always tried to cheer you up and this was the least he could do for you.
“Ok, let’s go,” you sighed taking the dress from him.
“Yaaaaaayy,” he cheered. “I love you.”
You gave him a brief smile before walking into the bathroom once again to change.
******************************************************
“So where are you taking me?” you asked. The two of you had been walking down unfamiliar paths for a long time.
“Just wait and watch,” he held your hand and dragged you.
“Seriously a park?” you said walking in the entrance.
“Yeah I know but I’m going to take you somewhere else,” he winked. Both you and him continued walking until you hit the woods. It was almost the end of the park. You were getting tired. It had been an hour since you left the house.
He walked you through a tunnel and there it was, the place he wanted to show you. Your jaw dropped as you stared at what was before you with utter amazement. It was a beautiful grassland surrounded by huge trees spreading their shadows over the smaller plants. The sun’s rays escaped through the tiny gap making the white flowers look even more beautiful.
“Come on,” Mir said with a smile on his face.
“Why did you never bring me here before?” you asked.
He didn’t respond. He kept pulling until you guys reached the middle. You could hear a waterfall in the background.
The two of you lay down on the ground with your faces facing each other.
“It’s a special place to me,” he whispered. “ I don’t bring any one here.”
A smile spread on your face. You lifted your hand, intending to touch his face. The smile that was on his face never changed. It was still there…
“______________ah, wake up!” Mir shook you.
“Huh!? Uhhh” you sat up, rubbing your eyes.
“How? I thought we were..? What’s happening,” you asked in extreme confusion.
“Are you okay?” he asked in utter confusion.
“You left your front door open again!” he made a face. As reality started sinking in, you realized that you’d been dreaming. That splendid path, that sunlight, those flowers none of it was real. It wasn’t the first time you’d had dreams like these. You had them occasionally and they left you sad afterwards because they were nowhere near reality. You looked at Mir with longing eyes as he got up to get a glass of water. He came back and sat beside you. He placed it close to your lips.
“Want some?” he asked. You nodded your head and just as you were about to take a sip he pulled it away and drank all of it. He looked at you with a cheeky smile and then began laughing.
“I hate you oppa,” you pulled a cushion from behind you and hit him with it.
“Ai, that hurt,” he said innocently.
“Why are you here?”
“I stopped by to get my jacket. You took it from me yesterday and never returned it,” he made a face.
“Aish, mianhe,” you pouted.
“It’s okay,” he patted your head. “I have to rush. I’ll see you later.”
Before leaving the room he looked back at you. He didn’t like it when you were upset. He wanted to hug you and kiss you and tell you how much he loved you but every time he said it, it didn’t mean anything to you.
“___________ah,” he called your name. You looked at him with a flat face.
“I love you,” he said and winked. A sudden shudder ran through you just like all the other times when he said those three words. You just wished they meant something. You wished that when you returned those three words to him he’d know that it meant something. He always played around. You never knew when he was serious and when not.
“I love you too,” you said forcing a fake smile on your face.
**********************************************************
Mir left and you curled up inside your bed once again. Day and night weren’t two different things for you. It all seemed the same to you. Just a year ago you were a happy girl. You laughed with everybody else and cried when they did. Then suddenly things changed. Nothing seemed to make you happy. You felt like a caged bird wanting to escape. You’d created a sort of shell around yourself. Very few could enter and Mir was one of them. He’d been there all along but he had never seemed to see the difference in you. Maybe you were just a really good actor and could easily cover up your depressed emotions. You knew well that if you told him that you liked him, what his reaction would be. He wouldn’t ever reject you. He was too nice to do that. But did you really want to do that? You could barely handle yourself, how could expect him to deal with you. You shrugged the thought out off your head and buried your face in the pillow. A tear rolled out of your eyes and before you knew it, you were crying, sobbing and then weeping.
You knew well you needed help but you were too afraid to tell someone. If this kept going on it was going to get more dangerous. You hoped that day never came but it was slowly creeping up.
Your eye sight was getting weak too now since crying yourself to sleep every night was a routine for you. Tonight was going to be just like that. You moved your hand around on the bed to find the remote. You turned on the TV and kept changing channels. Nothing good was on. Another reason for you to keep crying. Even fate wasn’t on your side. You felt like everything was negative around you. You always told yourself that maybe you weren’t good enough that’s why.
*****************************************************************
“_______________ah, are you up yet?” Mir yelled from the living room. Last time you heard that voice, it was a dream. You didn’t bother opening your eyes. In fact you closed them even more tightly and pulled the pillow on your head.
“_________ah, wake up!” Mir came into the room. You felt the left side of the bed dip a little bit. Was it real? Was he really here? If he was, you were never showing him your face. You knew your eyes looked puffy from the night before’s crying.
“____________, wake up. Come on! I need to take you somewhere. It’s the first day of spring.”
“Go away oppa,” you mumbled but the pillow ate your voice.
“I can’t hear you,” he said trying to pull it off of you. It was real. It wasn’t a dream. He really was there. You clenched the pillow tightly. Mir suddenly released it. There was no movement for a while and the next second you felt a bucket of cold water being poured over you. You immediately jumped up. Mir saw your puffy, red eyes and drenched body. He began laughing.
“Look at you face,” he said between giggles. You felt like somebody had just put a heavy weight on your heart. Out of all the people in the world, he was laughing at you. You expected much better out of him. Without thinking you pushed him with all your strength and yelled , ”Get out.”
Mir stumbled but handled himself. He couldn’t understand what had happened in mere 30 seconds. His face turned serious. He sensed something was wrong. Really wrong.
“________, are you okay?” he asked.
“Nothing,” you said glaring at him. You couldn’t calm your nerves at all.
“_________ please tell me what’s wrong.” He came towards you. He began to grab you but you pushed him once again.
“I said go away,” you yelled. Mir didn’t stop. Instead he pulled you towards him, causing you to burry your head against his chest. You struggled but he kept his grip strong holding your head firmly and using his other hand to hold your back. You kept hitting him but he stood strong.
“Just let me go,” you mumbled finally giving up.
“Shhhhhh,” he patted your back and stroked your hair. “Everything will be alright.” He kept repeating. You couldn’t control yourself. More tears flowed out. You’d hit your breaking point. You sobbed for a long time and all that time Mir stood there trying to comfort you.
He finally loosened his grip guessing that it was okay to let go. He sat you down on the bed. You immediately scrunched up your legs against your chest. He sat too, facing you.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asked. You shook your head.
“Okay,” he mumbled and just sat there watching you.
“Why are you doing this?” you asked turning your head sideways.
“Because I…” he trailed off. “I worry about you.”
“Don’t”
“I can’t.”
“Try.”
He couldn’t take it anymore. He was going to say it and this time actually show you that he meant it. He forced you to turn your face to him. You looked at him with questioning eyes.
“Don’t you understand? ___________ I love you,” this was the first time he’d said it looking straight into your eyes. He meant it. Instead of being happy, you got scared. You shook your head.
“Don’t say that.”
“Why not?”
“Because you don’t know what I’m going through.”
“Do you think I don’t know what you’re going through?” he snapped back. “It breaks my heart to see you suffer for no reason every day. _________ I’ve been in love with you for the longest time. I remember when you used to be that happy girl. You were so full of life. What happened to that? What happened?” Mir got teary eyed.
You were speechless. This is what your heart had been longing to hear. You felt a twinge of pain in your heart. You loved him too. But was it worth it to make him waste his life on someone like you. You pushed his hand gently.
“Oppa, you don’t want to do this. You don’t know how bad it is.”
“Then tell me how bad it is. I can help you _______. Trust me.”
You kept shaking your head. Mir pulled you into a hug once again. “Do you have any idea what I feel about you? Do you have any idea the pain I feel every time a tear drops from your eyes? It hurts ______. It really hurts. “
His words ran like a shudder through your body. You had no idea how madly in love he was with you.
“Say that you love me too,” he whispered giving you a deep kiss on your neck.
“I love you too,” you whispered back. You hadn’t felt more comfortable in the longest time. Your soul was hungry for love and that’s all he was offering you.
“Would you be willing to go see a therapist?” he asked hesitantly, still not letting go of you. You nodded your head and tightened your arms around him. You were scared but if he was there, you were willing to give it a shot.
A little part of you started to feel alive again and it was all because of him…

Sighing, your eyes followed Chen as he sang and danced passionately, his sustaining voice resounding in a forceful vibrato that sent a chill down your spine. Holding your face up as you sat against the wall on the ground, you squirmed weirdly, trying to get rid of the strong frisson.
Looking back up to watch them continue the song practice, you spied Chen’s amused smile at your strange wriggling. You put on an overly fake shocked face and shrugged your shoulders in the most unglamorous way. Turning it into a smile with an energetic wave, you averted your gaze, trying to keep yourself from looking back and instead staring at the other members.
You sighed inaudibly again, hugging your knees, burying your face into them. You were physically tired from staying up late at night reading or just from the cold of the winter. You’d always gotten cold easily, and, as always, the nippy weather was never kind to you.
“______,” Chen called playfully whilst dancing, trying to regain your attention.
You ignored him. Despite your cheerful, weird, bright personality, you were also a sharp girl.
You were in love with Chen, and it hurt sometimes, obviously, you knew. Why Chen, you always thought, why? Chen, who’s never sincere. Who’s kind, but you were bound to be hurt when you realize he was kidding, that he doesn’t care about your feelings. It wasn’t all the time, but whenever you were just so perfectly happy, it was a joke.
And every time, every time, you tell yourself you’ll get even, that it won’t happen again. Still, then, the sad truth you manage to grasp is that it’ll be impossible. It never happens, it will never happen. Because he just doesn’t care about you enough.
Still, you just decided to ignore it and smile, because you wanted him to smile more than anything. And that was only something an idiot would say, but you gladly accepted it.
You’d been friends with Chen since he found you to tutor him in Chinese and English. It was your part time job just after high school, so of course, you took him. You were younger than him by a year, so he was always fine with letting you speak informally, loosely, because he wanted you to be yourself.
“_________!”
You turned your head slowly, shivering from the cold temperature of the room. You folded your knees over your hands, sandwiching your fingers in the backs of your knees, feeling icy coldness in the warmth of your legs.
“What?” you responded lazily, tired and cold.
He’d been whining your name over and over again while he danced, unprofessionalism he rarely ever showed. You felt a chill down your spine, this time from the low temperature in the room rather than from his voice. His eyes widened and he sprinted over to you in the middle of the song.
“________, are you cold?” he knelt down on one knee in front of you, gently taking one of your hands into his and cringing slightly from the cold.
His hands were hot, you were sure all of theirs were, but Chen’s made your hand burn with heat even more.
“It’s so cold,” you complained, holding his hand, secretly happy.
Abruptly, he stood and tossed you the black sweater he left on a seat in favor of dance practice. He held your hand one last time, warming it up before running back to his place, making his band members smile in amusement.
“Wear that and stay,” he shouted over the music, smiling his usual smile.
You were happy. Slowly, you threw it over your head, his sweater hanging loosely off your smaller frame. It didn’t matter how freezing you were, his sweater made you feel warm.
All of the band members knew he was mad in love with you, just as you were with him, urging him to make a move, but he’d always backed out at the last minute, making it a joke. This, of course, you didn’t know.
There was once, though, and you couldn’t help but keep the memory, when he did ask you out. He offered to treat you to bubble tea, but you were so confused, happy, not understanding. You’d asked him why. And at that, there was a pause, then he immediately laughed and replied, ‘just kidding, I can’t create scandals with just anybody.’ You were slightly hurt that you were ‘just anybody’, but you dismissed it with a smile and a nod, ‘I thought so’.
It hurt his ego as well, and, since then, the two of you were always trying, but never making your feelings meet. You became more conscious of his actions and words, and he tried harder, to make you feel something, anything, for him, unknowing you already did, more than enough.
Dance practice ended soon after, you still engrossed in the feeling of the dark article of clothing you wore. You stood up, encouraging everyone brightly. Everyone felt great, the energy in the room was high. Slowly, the six members dispersed, excepting Chen and Minseok, the four others went outside, they usually had takeout that you bring, down in a room a floor above where you were. Xiumin came over, seeing as he was also someone you helped with language, he was friendly with you.
“______!” He called, smiling adorably, as he was used to.
He held your hand, his eyes widening in surprise. He quickly enveloped both of them in his that were warm from practice, and blew warm breath over your fingertips.
“Wah,” he was surprised at the difference in temperature from your hands and his, “_____, I thought frost was my power.”
You laughed at his lame joke, as did he.
You shook your head, he was so cute, you couldn’t help but think. He still rubbed his thumbs over your fingers soothingly, trying to increase the circulation that ran through your hands.
Chen had a brief swig of water before he paused to burn holes into the back of Xiumin’s head. He was upset.
“Still so cold with a sweater on,” Xiumin commented, shaking his head in slight disbelief.
He grazed your fingertips with his lips as a sort of cute joke, and you yelped softly, breaking into laughter alongside the lovely older boy. Chen’s eyes widened and he stormed over angrily. Breaking the two of you up, he held your hand tightly.
“Hey, hyung,” he stood in front of you, expression stiff, staring at Xiumin, “Is anything wrong?”
Minseok clearly knew what the younger boy was implying and shook his head knowingly. He chuckled a bit, backing off with his hands in the air.
“Nothing, Jongdae, nothing,” and Jongdae feels slightly embarrassed at the older boy’s reaction.
Your hands are burning hot, or it felt that way where Chen touched you. Relunctantly, he sighs, turning toward you with newly found ire. Despite his expression, he still held your hands softly, in the sweetest way.
“And you,” he addressed you sternly, upset, clearly you could tell from his face, “Don’t think that just because you get cold easily, you can go and flirt with Minseok-hyung.”
His words struck you dumb. And you stood there, eyebrows slightly raised, confused. He shook his head, frustrated at your lack of response.
“You do it on purpose, don’t you? Let yourself get cold so you can act all cute for hyung?”
You finally managed to register what he said and you hardly understood. No, you did, but you were upset. You wanted to take off the sweater he gave you, because at that moment, you were engulfed in anger, that pounded through your limbs.
“You always spend extra time teaching him, too,” he scoffs, half laughing bitterly, ridiculing you, “Or you’re supposed to be teaching him. All you do is flirt. Of all of the stupid, childish things you could do. Do you really like him that mu-“
“Jongdae,” there are tears in your eyes as you spat out the poisonous words, staring straight into his eyes, “you are such a goddamn jerk.”
You didn’t want to cry.
You pulled your hands back sharply, hurt, so many times. It didn’t matter to you why he would even say that, but he always hurt you, and you were done with being hurt. You were done with acting like it didn’t faze you. It didn’t matter if you loved him, it wasn’t even worth it anymore.
The room is silent, except for the deep breaths he drew and your pained exhale.
“_______, I-“ he stopped, watching you slowly try to remove the clothing he told you to wear.
A jolt of alarm shot through him.
Quickly, he grabbed you, held you tightly. You protested, but lightly, because you’re too busy crying. Silent sobbing, you just wanted to go home. He grabbed onto you tighter, leaning into your body, burying you in his. One hand on the back of your head, pressing it deep into his open chest, one around your back, he embraced you.
“No,” he half whispered into your hearing, “Don’t take it off.”
You were upset and confused, you let out an almost inaudible whimper, trying to stop your tears, and Chen flinched upon hearing it. He tightened his grip.
“_____, I’m sorry,” he apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. _______, I love you.”
He can feel you slightly tense up, and it stirred more sadness in his heart. He almost wanted to laugh at himself, at how pitiful he was. Always hurting you, always, he could see sometimes, not every time, the sparkle from your eyes dull as you smile and force a laugh, waving him off.
“______, I love you, I love you, I love you,” he exhaled painfully, as if he could erase all the horrible memories, “I love you.”
And slowly, you relax. Just enough, to rest in his arms. You gave up. You were tired.
He lets you go, loosens his grip just a bit, so he can see your face. And he leans down. Arms on your shoulders, he bends down to eye level and moves in so close, you could hear the softest of his breaths.
Softly pressing his forehead to yours, he caught your gaze, and somehow, by some strange power, you couldn’t move away. Or, you didn’t want to.
“_______,” he whispered, you could feel it blow across your lips, “tell me, if you love me.”
You don’t know what to say, but all you think is ‘yes’. Still, his heart sunk at your silence.
“I’m,” he paused, thinking how pathetic he must be, “I’m going to kiss you now.”
And before you can shout ‘yes!’ that yes, you love him, his lips connected with your own. Slowly but surely, he pressed his soft lips against yours, and broke apart gently, making sure to look at your expression.
“Ni ai wo ma?” he asked in his best attempt at Mandarin if you love him, and you crack a smile, laughing softly at how horribly cheesy all of it was.
“Mn,” you made a sound of agreement, “Wo ai ni.”
He formed a sweet grin with his lips, and crashed his smile to yours, and you reciprocated.
Just then, the door creaked open. You peered around Chen to see who it was.
“Woah, damn,” came the surprised male voice, it was Tao.
Eyes wide, he raised his hands and backed away from the door, whispering a quick ‘sorry’ in response to the two of you in the room turning around to face him.
The door clicked closed. And there was silence.
You couldn’t help but laugh. A genuine laugh, and Chen laughed along with you.
Jongdae fixed his sweater on your shoulders, pulling it back from slipping off, and with one hand behind your back, brought you along to turn up the heat in the room.
And that, you thought, was and would always be the sweetest thing he could do on a cold winter’s day.
LOL. Okay. Fjskalfjaklfjlakfj. Love Chen. <3 Ohgod. Jfklsdkfjslfkjldjflksjlfasjd. The end was… … CHEESE. ALL CHEESE. QAQ Alright. Sorry about that… :D Okay, have fun~

You knocked on the door for the fourth time and still no one answered. It wasn’t usual of the MBLAQ members to not be in their dorm at 10 in the morning. They all adored sleep, especially on the weekends. You took out your phone and called Mir. He didn’t answer. You were a little mad but worried at the same time. Where could they be? You began to wonder. Just then you heard their footsteps coming up the stairs. They were are laughing and clapping their hands. Mir’s eyes fell on you as soon as he reached the top.
“_________ah, there you are,” he came forward and gave you a quick peck on the lips.
“Where were you?” you pouted. You turned around to look at the guys and a girl standing next to them. You looked back at Mir with questioning eyes.
“Noona, meet _________,” he said advancing towards the girl.
“________, meet my noona.” A smile spread across your face. She was the first member from Mir’s family that you were meeting. 7 months and 1 family member, you could only hope how long it would take to meet the rest.
“Anyeong!” you greeted her and bowed slightly.
“Anyeong,” she giggled. “You don’t have to do that. Don’t be formal with me. We’re just like friends.” She winked.
You relaxed a little bit.
“Mir talks a lot about you and…”
“Ummm can we go inside and talk?” Mir interrupted.
“Oh ahhhahah,” both you and her chuckled.
You had a long conversation with his sister and quiet surprisingly she was very nice. You were scared of Mir’s family because every time you asked him to introduce you to them he would just politely ignore the subject.
“___________ah, when will you be leaving?” Mir asked out of the blue.
“Leaving?” you repeated with confusion.
“Yeah, Noona and I are going to the movies tonight.” You were a little disappointed that he hadn’t even thought about inviting you. You were still a little mad about him not telling you that his sister was coming over and that he went with her and all the members without inviting you. Nevertheless you didn’t want to act like a clingy girlfriend so you remained quiet.
“__________,” he nudged you.
“Huh! Oh umm yeah I was just leaving!” you said standing up.
“I’ll see you soon okay?” he said walking you to the door.
“Anyeong.”
“Anyeong”
******************************************************
Four days passed and Mir didn’t contact you at all. You knew he was spending time with his sister. And you were all up for giving him some space but a little text wouldn’t hurt.
‘Oppaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…’ –you texted him.
15 minutes passed. You felt like a desperate pabo for waiting for the screen to light up.
‘Ye?,’ – he finally texted back.
‘Do you want to do something tonight?’
‘It’s Tuesday night O_O’
‘So?’
‘I have to wake up early tomorrow’
‘Oh alright o_O’
You put the phone on the night stand and closed your eyes. You hated your mood swings when you were on your periods. You felt lonely and wanted to cuddle with someone but sadly it was just going to be you and your little teddy bear that night.
Your phone buzzed. You jumped around, hoping Mir had changed his mind. It wasn’t him. It was your friend.
“Hey,” you said picking up the phone.
“Wanna hang out?” she asked.
“Aaaa, not in the mood.”
“Oh come onnnn, I feel so lonely tonight. I need some bubble tea shots,” she giggled. You laughed too. You agreed to go with her only because you felt the same way as her that night. Lonely.
*************************************************
“________ah, isn’t that Mir?” your friends said pointing at your boy friend sitting in the corner table.
“What?” you stood up in surprise and almost spilt your bubble tea.
“Calm down,” she made a face and pulled you.
“No, I just called him an hour ago to ask if he wanted to hang but he told me he had to get up early tomorrow,” you said angrily.
“I think he’s with someone,” she said pushing back a little bit to get a better look. “Oh yep, definitely with someone.”
You turned around and looked once again. Of course, he was there with his noona.
“It’s his noona,” you mumbled.
“Just go and sit down with him,” she suggested.
“Nah, I don’t want to disturb them,” you made an annoyed face.
“Meeaaoowwww, you don’t like her do you?”
You sighed. “I do! I mean don’t I have too? It’s just that he hasn’t been paying attention to me ever since she came to visit and I know she won’t be here for a long time but I’m still so … oh Gosh! Who am I kidding I sound like a little brat,” you buried your face in your hands and rested your head on the table.
“Aniyo! You don’t sound like a brat.” She comforted you.
“He could have at least told me he was coming here, instead of lying to me.” You mumbled as a tear rolled down your cheek. That wasn’t the normal you but you had lots of mixed feelings inside you that day.
“_________,” you heard a familiar voice say your name. It was Mir’s voice. You quickly wiped your tear and looked up.
“What are you doing here?” he asked. ‘Shouldn’t I be the one asking this question’ you thought to yourself while squinting your eyes at him. He understood that you were a little mad.
“Noona, wanted some bubble tea so I decided to bring her here. I was going to call you but I thought you’d be asleep.”
You tried to calm yourself but his explanations were only making you more mad.
“It’s alright!” you said getting up. You forced a pretty obvious fake smile on your face and turned around to leave.
“Let’s go,” you said to your friend and without looking back you left the shop.
****************************************************
“Aaaaaaaaaaaa! I’m coming,” you yelled at the person who’d been knocking on your door for the past half hour. You opened the door rubbing your eyes and an annoyed face. The very next second you jumped up with excitement.
“Oppa!” you laughed hysterically as you saw your older brother. “When did you..How did..?? Oh my God forget all that,” you hugged him tightly. He chuckled and stroked your hair.
“I just got here.”
“Did Umma come with you?” you asked.
“Aniyo, she couldn’t but I came to check on you.”
“Check on me?” you made an amused face.
“Ye, I worry about you,” he placed his hand on your cheeks. “Seoul is a big city and you live here all by yourself.”
“Oppa! I’m a big girl now,” you pouted.
“Aish, I know,” he laughed and messed your hair, just like old times.
********************************************************
‘______________ah, where are you?’ –Mir texted you for the first time ever since your encounter with him at the bubble tea shop.
‘I’m busy..’ – you texted back clearly expressing your anger.
‘Ok..’ – You couldn’t believe it. ‘OK’ was the only thing he could say to you. You were losing your nerve now.
“What’s going on?” you brother asked sitting beside you.
“Nothing,” you muttered.
“Those wrinkles on your forehead tell me a different story,” he said. You knew if you told him about how Mir was treating you, he’d be pretty upset. You didn’t want him to get mad at Mir because sooner or later he was going to apologize to you.
**********************************************************
“Oppa, I’ve never had so much fun at a street market,” you said wiping your nose. “Ice cream in the snow! Best idea ever,” you said excitedly.
“You’re going to get sick,” he said giving you a tissue. You shook your head and licked your ice cream.
“Hey look!” you brother pointed towards the north. Mir was waving at you and him. He sprinted towards you guys.
“Mir, my man,” your brother said and did the casual hand shake. That was the first time you actually hated them being so chill with each other.
“Haven’t seen you ever since I got here,” your brother said.
“Yeah,” he scratched his head. “___________, never told me you were here. I would have come.”
“Shouldn’t you have come any ways to see her?” he asked. You giggled on the inside. He was going to get in trouble and you didn’t feel bad at all. He deserved it. Mir looked at you nervously. You returned a glare and then rolled your eyes.
“Anyeong,” Mir’s sister came up from behind and greeted.
“Anyeong,” Your brother said with a surprised expression on his face. “I think I know you from somewhere.”
She giggled. “Communication skills class, Pusan University, 2009.”
“Ahhh ye ye ye,” your brother snapped his fingers.
“You’re Mir’s…”
“Sister,” she finished for him.
“Aaa, I didn’t know that.” The two of them began talking as if they had a lot of catching up to do. You pouted. First Mir and now your brother. You made a crying face and turned around.
“________, _________ wait,” Mir held your hand.
“Let me go Oppa,” you yanked you sleeve and began walking once again. Mir walking besides you.
“Go away,” you said as tears started flowing out of your eyes. He kept walking with you.
The two of you reached your apartment. You went inside and tried to close the door on him but he was obviously stronger than you.
“__________, tell me what’s wrong?” he asked holding you. You shrugged him away and went to your room.
“_______, please tell me what’s wrong?” he asked once again. He did sound worried.
“It’s nothing okay!” you snapped back.
“Well you’re crying and you won’t talk to me what’s wrong so something’s definitely up,” he held you once again.
“I don’t want to sound mean and I don’t want you to hate me either so just let it go. Give me some time and I’ll be fine,” you said resting your head on his chest.
“I would never hate you,” he said running his fingers through your hair.
“Is it because I haven’t been able to spend much time with you lately?” he asked after a while. You were surprised he understood you.
“Aniyo,” you shook your head rubbing your face with his shirt. He chuckled.
“I know you my little penguin. You can’t hide your feelings from me no matter how hard you try,” he pulled you away and then gave you a long kiss on the lips.
“I’m sorry. I know I was being stupid but I just couldn’t help it. She comes once in three years and I just wanted to as much time with her as possible.”
“It’s okay Oppa, I understand.” You said.
“And I would have invited you but I just didn’t want it to be awkward.”
“It won’t be awkward. Try inviting me next time,” you winked. He smiled and kissed you once again.
“You have explanations to do too missy.”
“What?” you asked with a bemused expression.
“Yeah, you never told me your brother was here and then you didn’t text me for a week. Were you trying to make e jealous?” he squinted his eyes.
“Noo,” you said with a cheeky smile and began to run away. Mir caught up to you and picked you up.
“You’ll pay for this,” he said walking back to the room.
“Aish,” you gave him a quick peck. You couldn’t wait for what was yet to come.
