I got HOPE Scholarship so my tuition was paid off. And the program offered a discount if we registered early. One of the professors from my home university was teaching a class at Hanyang so if we took his class we got more discount. So basically I ended up paying $1800 (USD) for the ticket and living expenses. Which will be around $700 to $800 if you go out and eat every night ans love to shop. My study abroad adviser told me that my living expense will be around $300 but clearly that wasnt the case because when you are in a different country you want to try all sorts of foods and go to all sorts of different places. Transportation (Subway is the best choice) will cost a lot of money too so keeping all of this in mind I think $700-$800 is enough for expenses.
I am taking Topics in Korean Arts and Society- Professor Moon. The class is amazing if you like to express your ideas. Our Professor gave us a lot of freedom to think and say as we like. The other class that Im taking is International Advertising - only because I would get the discount but I got to learn a lot from it. I chose these two classes because I will get credit for them for my electives. I am a business major with a minor in Korean language. I didn’t want to take business classes while on a study abroad trip since that gets very stressful.
I would recommend that you do this study abroad the summer after your first year in University :)
Hello Beautiful Anon!! ~~
I am in Korea for a month through the Hanyang University International Summer School Program. Universities from around the world are a part of this program. There are over 550 students who came this year. I met people from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Switzerland, Netherlands, China, US, UK, Turkey… so many more.. so yes your university might have something like that. I would definitely encourage that you become a part of this program. It is a wonderful experience. If you have more specific questions about the program let me know. My askbox is always open ^_^
Do you actually like the person?
I’d say drop it in as a suggestion this way you won’t be disappointed if they say no. So try this - “Have you tried such and such drink at so and so place?” Regardless of them having tried it or not you should follow it up with a -“we should go have it/ try it some time”
I’m sorry! :( I’d be able to help some more if I knew what kind of relation y’all had or if I knew more about the situation but GOOD LUCK! be very relaxed and you’ll get it right. :)
I read it over and over and I’m still not sure if it’s a hate message or whatever you wrote was unintentional! If it’s not a hate message then please send it again and I’ll post it but if it actually is a hate message than don’t expect me to do that. I would post a hate message if it’s about me but if it’s targeting the people I care about then chances are, I won’t post it :)
