[Made slight changes towards the end]
“Where’s my GeGe?” you yelled as you entered the room. Kris turned around and glanced at you for a brief second before indulging himself back into his work.
“He clearly isn’t here,” he mumbled.
“What’s up with you?” you asked proceeding towards him.
“Nothing. Let me work,” he said.
“Well you know I can’t let you do that,” you pushed him lightly, making yourself comfortable next to him. “What are you working on?”
“Lyrics.”
“Need my help?”
“Your help?” he asked raising his eyebrows.
“Yeah what’s wrong with that?”
Kris looked up at you and then just like usual just stared at you. You never understood what that meant. Every time he looked at you, he would look for a good minute. It would seem like he wanted to say something but he would never say it.
“Krisss,” you snapped your finger into his face. He shook his head and looked away.
“Why do you always do that?” you punched him lightly.
“Weren’t you looking for your brother?” he asked.
“Why do you ignore my questions?” you pouted.
“Stop using your aegyo. It won’t work on me,” he said and pretended to write.
“Where is everybody else?” you asked.
“Luhan and Xiumin are out for some coffee. Lay is sick and Tao is with his girl friend.”
“What?” You began laughing.
“Seriously _______ you need to get yourself checked. Why are you laughing like that?”
“Hold.. on..” you said taking little pauses between your undying laughter. “Woaahh…. Okay! So Tao and his girlfriend. They really are serious?”
“Aaa yeah,” he replied with a sarcastic expression.
“Woaaa to be honest,” you leaned in closer to him, “I didn’t think they were going to last more than a month but I guess they’re doing pretty good.”
“You’re so pessimistic _________,” he shook his head.
“No I’m not. I’m just being realistic,” you rocked your body back and forth holding on to your crossed legs. You looked like a little kid. Kris, although amused by you kept his focus on the lyrics. “I don’t understand why you guys take these relationships so seriously?” you tried to tease him. You knew he would have an argument to raise and arguments you loved. Especially with Kris.
“I don’t understand why you don’t,” he said giving up on his writing and putting the notebook to his side. All of his attention was focused on you. You knew you had trapped him.
“Because I believe women should be independent.”
“That makes no sense.”
“To you it doesn’t because you’re a guy. Have you ever asked a girl how she feels in a relationship? They are always bound to fulfill the guys’ wishes. I personally think its unfair.” You waved your hand in the air and lifted your head up high.
“But if you will never be in a relationship how will you move on to the next step of life?”
“Steps of life?” you scoffed. “Steps that are set by this society. We don’t need that. We don’t have to find the perfect guy or get married. At least I know I don’t. I have a long life to live and I can’t just bind myself to one guy. I have to explore. I want to be independent. I want to be able to do whatever I want to.”
“You can do all this while being in a relationship too.”
“Really Kris? Really?”
“Yes really. I don’t understand why you don’t believe that?” he asked. He seemed a little frustrated. He wanted to get his point across but you in no way were going to let him win.
“Because I know they are all fake. Nothing lasts forever.” You replied.
“Love does.”
“Oh Please Kris.,” you rolled your eyes.
“Have you ever tried falling in love?”
“Have you?” you asked.
He began to say the words he had been wanting to say for almost a year but something held him back.
“Exactly,” you nodded your head feeling like a victor. You had left him speechless.
“Exactly what?” he asked.
“Kris,” you leaned in closer to him and put your hand on his shoulder. “You should really find someone for yourself. It’s about time. Look at Tao. He is the youngest and even he is ahead of you.”
He didn’t have anything to say but to smile at you. You got up and messed his hair like your usual tradition before walking out the room. The smile on his face hadn’t disappeared. It was still there. In fact every time he thought about you, the same smile embraced his lips. He was madly in love with you while you on the other hand lived in a world of your own.
*******************************************************
“Aaigoo,” Kris mumbled as the thoughts of you occupied his head once again. He grabbed a cushion and pulled it over his head. He kept pressing it until he had trouble breathing and finally had to take it off. He got out of bed and shook his head but what about his heart. It still ached for you. He often questioned himself as to why he was madly in love with someone who acted nothing like girl. Who didn’t know how to dress properly. Who didn’t believe in love. And who would never ever realize how crazy he was about her.
You had somehow taken over his heart without him knowing. It wasn’t love at first sight. In fact the first time he saw you, he was rather disgusted by your mud laden shirt. You had just finished playing soccer with the guys before your Gege introduced you to the EXO M members. After that you hung out with them quiet often. There were times you showed them your girly side but that wasn’t enough for a sane guy to fall for you. Somehow Kris’s heart had managed to deceive him and day by day his feelings for you grew. He wanted to tell you how he felt but he knew you thought of him just as a friend. And then earlier that day you made it pretty clear to him that you were not looking for any sort of a relationship.
“I can’t do this,” he sighed. Just then Tao walked in.
“Are you talking to yourself again?” he asked turning on the lights in the room.
“What? … no,” Kris shook his head.
“The guys are planning to go to the club. Wanna join?”
“No I’m good here.”
“Oh come on. It’ll be fun. At least you’ll talk to other people over there instead of talking to yourself.” Tao grabbed Kris’ arm and pushed him into the bathroom.
*************************************************
The club always got the guys hyped up. Luhan and Xiumin jumped into the pool of girls while Tao and his girlfriend occupied a small corner to themselves. Kris stood by Lay and just moved his head from side to side. He wasn’t in the mood to dance that night.
“You didn’t have to come. You’re still not healthy to be out yet.”
“I’m fine. I needed to get some…,” Lay stopped halfway.
“What?” Kris turned to look at him. Lay lifted his hand to rub his eyes.
“What?” Kris asked again.
“Is that __________?” Lay asked pointing to you in the midst of the crowd. “I must be dreaming because it sure looks like she…”
“Is wearing a dress,” Kris completed for him. His jaw dropped at the sight of you dancing rather provocatively with a stranger. At least he thought it was a stranger.
“I don’t believe this,” Lay exclaimed shaking his head.
“I don’t either,” Kris said with a slight hint of anger. He wanted to confront you and so he began walking in your direction but Lay held his hand.
“Where are you going?” he asked.
“To talk to __________.”
“And ask her what?”
“And ask her why she is here.”
“Kris. Are you stupid? This is a club. She can be here whenever she wants to.”
“But not like this,” Kris shrugged his hand out of Lay’s grip and lunged towards you. He had a lot of things that you needed to clear up for him.
“Oh hi Kris” you said, a little bit surprised at his sudden appearance.
“Come with me!,” he said and without a warning grabbed your wrist.
“What are you doing?” you asked as he dragged you out of the club. He was too furious to reply to any of your questions. He stopped in a small, silent corner of the street.
“What’s going on _______?” he asked.
“What do you mean what’s going on? I was having fun at the club and you dragged me out of there. I think you should be answering that question.”
“You’re such a hypocrite,” Kris yelled in anger.
“Hypocrite?” you repeated in bewilderment.
“Yes hypocrite. Didn’t you say earlier today that you didn’t like doing all these things? You wanted to be independent. Then what is all this? Were you lying to me ___________? Is this how you treat people who care about you?”
“You’re hurting me,” you mumbled. Kris didn’t realize when he had held your hand again but he was holding it really tightly, to the point that your blood circulation was about to stop. He released it with a slight hint of guilt but his anger soon replaced it.
“I don’t understand you Kris. I was just having fun. I am allowed to have fun am I not?” you asked, a little bit hurt by his harsh choice of words.
“Fun? Is this your definition of fun? Dancing so close to guys you don’t even know? If you don’t like relationships why would you do such things?” He yelled.
“Why does it matter to you? I can do whatever I want to!,” you yelled back.
“No you can’t,” he pinned you against the wall. “You can’t do whatever you want to.”
“Why can’t I?”
“Because..,” he stopped and just like always scanned your face with his eyes.
“What is it with you? I am tired of this. If you want to say something why don’t you say it?”
“I can’t,” he said, pulling himself away from you.
“Why can’t you?”
“Because there is no use.”
“You have to tell me today,” you said pulling him around to face you.
“You really don’t get it do you?”
You didn’t know how to respond to his question but you were curious to what he had to say.
“I’m in love with you, you …,” he smacked his forehead. His words felt like a glass shatter, breaking the silence in the room. You couldn’t believe your ears. Could it really be true? He had left you in such an awkward position that you didn’t know what to say. You had tried to run away from love all your life and now the one person who you considered to be such a good friend was dragging you right into it. You knew you weren’t the right girl for him. All you were going to do was hurt him. You could never give him what he wanted. He deserved much better than you. He deserved someone who actually believed in love. Someone who was ready to be in a relationship and you were far from that.
“When..?” you shook your head. Tears began forming your eyes as the thought of loosing him started threatening you. “What.. do you mean? I don’t get this Kris.” Your questions made no sense.
“This is not how I wanted to tell you.”
“Are you stupid?,“ you suddenly snapped. "Why would you say that? Why would you ruin our friendship like this?” you asked while crying.
“_______ I didn’t think it would….,” he sighed. “I am so sorry.”
“No..,” you whispered, shaking your head. Kris took a step towards you and you took one back.
“Don’t,” you lifted your hand to stop him.
“________, please listen to me,” he said.
“No!,” you cried and before he could do anything you began running away. All he could do was call after you but even he had lost all hope. That was not how he wanted to tell you about his feelings. He had scared you away forever. The little chance of you and him being together were gone forever.
Kris lifted his hand and clenched his heart tightly. He knew that it would never stop aching. He would have to learn to live with it forever…

You looked up at the cheering crowd once again. He had promised you he would be there. You had begged your coach to save VIP seats for him and a few other friends of yours. How could they miss such an important event that you had been practicing for, for almost three months.
“Come on ___________, it’s time to get ready.”
“Hold on just let me make one last call,” you replied and dialed his number.
“Where are you?” you blurted as soon as the other side picked up the phone.
“I told you it’ll be hard for me to make it.”
“I know but I really want you to be here. This is important.”
“I know it’s important but if this hadn’t come up last minute you know I would have made it.”
“What about everybody else?”
“They can’t either.”
“Mianhe __________,” you heard voices from behind him.
“Ahhh it’s alright,” you said half heartedly.
“__________ come on every one is lining up.”
“I’m coming,” you yelled back to your trainer.
“Hey, I gotta go. Don’t cancel on my tonight though okay?”
“Good luck! And I won’t. I promise.”
“Yeah right. That’s what you said last time too,” you said and quickly hung up. No matter how much you tried to calm yourself, it still upset you that he was bailing on you last minute. You were really hyped up for It and he might not have known but his presence gave you more strength. It got all your competitive genes boosting up.
“Oh well,” you mumbled to yourself and lined up with the rest of the competitors. Together all of you walked out of the small room and into the stadium. The sun nearly blinded you. The crowd was cheering, which only made you more nervous. When you finally stabilized yourself you looked up one last time at the seats that were supposed to be occupied by your boyfriend and the rest of the Exo members. They were empty…
Everyone took their positions and waited for the whistle to be blown. You felt your energy draining out of you. You turned around, hoping there was still a chance for you to back out but no, it was too late. You saw your trainer wave at you and then at the man holding the whistle. His expression changed. He seemed angry.
“What?” you mumbled.
“___________ go, go, gooooooooo!” he yelled. You turned back around only to find that most girls were almost half way around the circular track.
“What the….,” you immediately began running. That’s all you needed to boost up your spirit. You were a fast runner and your loved the adrenaline rush you got each time you were on the track. It took you a while but you caught up to them.
One lap, two laps, three laps… only a few more and you would be done. As the race was bearing to the end, the cheering got louder. The trainers came closer to the tracks, yelling at their participants. That was it. The last lap. Most were way behind you while two were ahead and one was running right beside you. In fact she had been running besides you through out. You turned your head side ways to look at her. She seemed pretty focused.
“Aaaaaa,” you let out a frustrated scream and ran faster. You had left her behind and were now running with the two who were ahead of you. One of them got slower as the ending approached. It was you and the one other girl. You kept pushing yourself but your energy began to drain and your sides started hurting.
“Ahh,” you sighed trying to clear your vision. Your eyes fell on seven boys dressed in white attire, the last one holding purple lilies walking towards the seats you had reserved for your friends.
“No no no!,” you cried while still focusing on the track. You didn’t want someone else to take the seats you had reserved even if they couldn’t make it. As you got closer your heart began racing. It was them. They were there. They made it. You don’t know how but they made it but hey did. Tao was holding your favorite flowers, waving them in the air.
A smile spread on your face but his facial expressions changed as you got nearer.
“_________ run faster. What are you doing?” he yelled.
“Whoever wins get’s your boyfriend _______,” you heard Luhan yell while jumping excitedly.
*** Yeeeaaahhhh*** the rest of the members cheered, throwing their fists in the air.
“What?” Tao gave them a bewildered look. Luhan glared at him, signaling him to play along. Of course you couldn’t see that. All you knew was that those silly boys were betting on your boyfriend. You shifted your gaze to the girl next to you. She was getting ahead of you. In fact she was 1 foot ahead of you now.
“She’s winning _________. She’ll win him too,” you knew that was Chanyeol’s voice from behind. There was tension everywhere. The announcer seemed more hyped up than the crowd. He was speaking so fast you doubted anyone would understand him. The cheering got louder.
“Oh heck no!,” you cried and gave it all your might. After that you closed your eyes and hoped for the best.
You heard whistles being blown, confetti being thrown on your face and the crowd cheering. Someone pulled your hand and raised it high up.
“You wonnnnn,” the announcer in the suit said.
“What?” you opened your eyes and looked around. Your eyes fell on the boys cheering and jumping. Tao stood on the side giving you one of his beautiful smirks.
“Good job,” he mouthed the words and then gave you a thumbs up. You nodded your head and then someone dragged you to the other corner. Another guy in the suit put a medal around your neck. Pictures were taken with a few people. Some you knew, and others you had no idea who they were.
*********************************************
You took a shower, changed quickly and ran out to where the boys were.
“I thought you guys weren’t coming?” you said sprinting to them.
“Hey hey hey, no questions. Pictures first,” said Luhan and pulled out his camera. He pushed you next to Tao and began flashing away.
“You came,” you whispered to Tao.
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
“Thank you.”
“Would you two stop moving your mouth and let me take the picture?” Luhan cried giving his classic glare.
Both you and him chuckled. You were glad that he could make it because he had given you the strength to win.

I chose Tao instead of Chen. It seemed more like Tao scenario to me that’s why :). Hope you like it. Also, I wrote this in the plane in a hurry along with a super tiny font because I didn’t want anyone to see what I was writing so I apologize if it isn’t that long. :(

Your eyes were fixed on the computer screen but your mind was elsewhere. You forced yourself to think of other things but the image of that double layered chocolate cake with vanilla icing and fudge wouldn’t let you think of anything else. It was as if you could taste it in your mouth. You had gotten really mad your mom for bringing it in the night before but ever since she left that’s all you had been eating.
‘No it’s bad for me. I shouldn’t eat it. But it’s so good though…Uh..,’ – your thoughts were killing you. The saliva in your mouth was teasing you. You couldn’t even concentrate on your anime and that never ever happened.
“Aigoooo,” you cried and jumped off of the couch. You pulled the half eaten cake out of the fridge along with the big table spoon and looked at it with devouring eyes. There was no stopping you. The only way to get rid of the thoughts about the cake was to get rid of it. You were going to do that by guzzling it down without feeling even a tad bit guilty.
You licked the spoon three times before finally putting it away. It had taken you almost thirty minutes to finish the huge piece. Just then you almost jumped when you heard someone knock at the door.
“Who is it?” you asked throwing the dishes in the sink and pouring water on them. There was no response, since the person obviously couldn’t hear you. You looked in the mirror to clean your face and then gargled twice before running to the door.
“What took you so long to open the door?” Chen asked with his usual sassy face.
“I was in the room,” you lied.
“Oh, alright forget that. I was wondering if we could go out for dinner. I’m starving.”
“Didn’t you eat with the boys? It’s Friday night.”
“Yeah but I always eat with them on Friday nights. I wanted to eat with you tonight.”
“So what do you want to eat? “
“Anything you want to.”
“Aaa I’m actually full but I can make you some miso soup.”
“Don’t you want to go out?”
“Can’t we just stay in? I don’t feel like eating,” you whined.
“_________ you barely ever eat. Don’t do this to yourself,” he said sliding his hands around your waist and pulling you closer. That was a pretty brave move for a three month relationship but you let him. After all you had to take baby steps and he had just taken one.
“Look at your waist. I feel like I can hold it with one hand.”
“I do eat,” you pouted. Chen wasn’t really wrong. You ate a lot, he just never saw you. You didn’t want him to see the uncivilized side of you when you ate. You knew he would run away into the wild and vow to never come back.
“Okay but do you want to come with me so I don’t feel lonely.”
“Of course,” you replied and grabbed his arm, girlfriend style. He smiled at you as the two of you walked out the door.
*********************************************************
The same thing happened at the party he took you a few days later and then the lunch after that. You were hesitant to eat in front of him because you knew you would go all out. You did eat but very little and then later ordered something for yourself when you were alone.
“Hey are you at home?” he asked you over the phone.
“Ye,” you mumbled concentrating on your anime.
“Okay then open the door. I’m standing outside.”
“What!,” you cried in surprise.
“Yeah, now open the door,” he said impatiently. “I need to pee.”
“Ah eww, keep the details to yourself,” you said walking to the door.
“Mooooove,” Chen pushed you to the side and off he went, running to the bathroom as soon as you opened the door. You held your stomach and laughed for a good minute.
“What?” he asked walking out of the bathroom.
“Your face,” you said still laughing uncontrollably. “When you were running.”
“Okay okay,” he held your arm and walked you to the couch. He looked more serious than usual. Your heart sank a little bit but you felt his grip tighten on your hand. He couldn’t be breaking up with you. Everything was just fine between you guys.
“What’s wrong,” you asked hesitantly.
“_________ I know you won’t be able to understand what I’m trying to say. I did some research last night and usually patients who suffer from such disorders are in a state of denial.”
“Patient? Disorder? What are you talking about?” you cried, pulling your hand out of his.
“__________, ________ listen to me,” he held your hands once again. “Hear me out okay?”
You wanted to say a lot but his glare completely shut you up.
“I’ve seen the way you eat. In fact I’ve seen the way you never eat. I am sure your weight is below average. I just want you to know that you don’t have to do all of this. I like you just the way you are. You don’t have to try to become skinny.”
His words weren’t reaching your brain until he said the last word. You didn’t know if you were mad or you just wanted to laugh. A few moments passed and you realized that you definitely wanted to do the latter. Chen was so adorable. How could he even possibly think of all these things? You wanted to hug and shower him with kisses but you knew it was too early for that.
“ So what do you think I have?” you asked, obviously very amused.
“You’re anorexic,” he said furrowing his eyebrows.
“What?” you began laughing. “Why would you ever think that?”
“Because you never eat.. and why are you laughing?” He shook his head.
“Oppa,” you said taking his hand in yours. “I think it’s time I tell you.”
“What?” he asked suspiciously.
“I can eat like a cow. The only reason I don’t do it in front of you is because it’s very un lady like and I don’t want to come of as an uncivilized monkey.”
“I don’t believe that for a second.”
“Really?”
“Yep,” he closed his eyes in a childish way and crossed his arms. “Prove it.”
“Alright then. How about we go to a pizza place tonight and see who eats more.”
“Alright then,” he said scanning your face for any signs of a scam. There were none.
**************************************************
“One down, twelve more to go,” you said finishing your first slice.
“We’ll see about that,” he said taking a bite of his second slice.
“You can’t win this one,” you tried to trash talk.”
“We’ll see about that,” he said chucking down his third. You pouted and began stuffing more and more in your mouth. You had to win that battle.
Other couples and servers looked at the two of you hogging your large sized pizzas. They were amazed and a little disgusted.
“Ahhhh I give up,” Chen suddenly said. Tears were forming in the corner of his eyes.
“What? Already?” you asked picking up your eighth slice.
“I can’t do this anymore. I think I’m going to puke,” he said rubbing his tummy.
“I still have some space in my…” you stopped half way. You looked up and found him looking at you intently. He was expressionless. ‘Oh no! ‘ You had scared him for sure. You began to explain yourself but the sudden smile on his face stopped you.
“What?” you asked.
“Nothing,” he shook his head and looked away.
“No tell me,” you insisted even though you were scared to bits on the inside.
“________,” he mumbled your name.
“Hmmm,” your voice chocked.
“I think I’m falling for you more and more every day,” he whispered, leaning in closer to you. You blinked repeatedly to sink in what he had said. You couldn’t believe it. Had your ears really heard the right thing? Did he really say that he was slowly falling in love with you after seeing your obnoxious side? Was he joking?
“Are you okay?” he asked you, getting a little freaked out by you staring at him blankly.
“Ah yeah,” you said and shyly looked away. You let your hair fall on the sides of your face to cover up the red ears and the blushing cheeks.
Right then, you knew he was a keeper…

NOTE: The topic of ‘Eating disorders’ is very sensitive and my scenario is not intended to make fun of anyone. The person who requested this scenario wanted it to be sassy and this is the closest I could get to it. I hope that people who suffer from anorexia, bulimia, or any such disorders should seek assistance/ help. Try to be happy with the body you have and if you do want to lose weight, do it in a healthy way. Remember all of you are beautiful :) <3

Present day:
You see her giggle over the text she had just received. You know well who it is from but you don’t care enough to make any remarks.
“Oh hey _________, I didn’t see you come in,” Su ji says raising her head.
“Ah, I just came back.”
“How was it? Did they say you have a chance?” she asks enthusiastically.
“I’m not sure. They always put on such a poker face it’s hard to tell. I’ve been waiting for my debut for so long. It’s about time they give me something..” you sigh.
“Aish, you’ll get there soon,” she says with an encouraging smile. You smile back just like always, when you look at her. Only you knew the pain of having to live life like that. Suji was a much younger trainee than you and she was soon debuting while you were still waiting for the big news. On top of that she was dating the man you once loved madly, still did and you knew in your heart that you always will.
*************************************************
Flashback:
You walked down the hall towards your practice room casually, when someone grabbed you and pulled you into a tiny room. Before you could open your mouth to scream, two hands covered your mouth. The person brought his lips close to your ear and whispered, “Don’t scream. It’s me.” The wrinkles on your forehead disappeared and a smooth smile covered your lips. You turned around slightly only to be pinned against the wall.
“How long are we going to keep it like this?” you asked. He shrugged his shoulders and brought himself a little more close to you.
“I don’t know,” he finally said and leaned in to kiss you. You looked away.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“Nothing,” you mumbled.
“_____________, if this is still about keeping this relationship a secret than you already know my answer,” he said and turned around.
“Why can’t we tell anyone? It’s been over a year Yixing. I’m getting tired of it.”
“You know it wouldn’t be right. Neither for you nor for me. They’ll make us breakup before either one of us debuts.”
“We can figure something out later.”
“Be realistic ________,” he said a little more sternly this time.
“Are you sure that’s the only reason or is there something else?” you asked, getting a little suspicious.
“What do you mean?” he turned around, looking really hurt. You wanted to say more but you thought it better to not. You hated arguing with him.
“Nothing,” you mumbled and began to leave.
“______________,” he called after you.
“Ye,” you turned around. He came closer and held your hand. Your sixth sense told you that something bad was about to happen.
“I love you,” he said. His words made you smile. No matter how much the two of you fought over that topic, he always found a way to make you feel better. “but,” he continued, “I think we should take a break.”
“What?” you gasped. The smile escaped your face as quickly as it had come. You were confused and a little shaken. His hand began to slide away. You tried to regain the grip but it was too late. “What do you mean?” you asked.
“All of this.. there’s just too much happening right now. I think we both need some time to ourselves.”
“If this is about what I said earlier than I take all of that back. I promise to never bring it up again,” you said in sort of a desperate way. Had you known your wishes were going to lead this, you would have never uttered such words. You were regretting them more than ever. “I’m sorry Yixing.”
“No ________, you don’t have to be sorry. What I’m saying is better for both of us.”
“But why all of a sudden?”
“Because..,” he trailed off. Both you and him stood in a deep cutting silence. You wanted answers to your questions. He was afraid because he didn’t have any. You were so deeply engulfed in your thoughts that you didn’t even realize that he had left. He left without saying anything. He left you heartbroken.
.
.
You didn’t have to wait long to find out why he had done that. Three months after your breakup, Yixing debuted under the group called Exo M. It started making sense to you. He did it because he knew the time was nearing so he had to prepare himself. Take his mind off of you and focus more on what was ahead of him.
You on the other hand were still a trainee. A year passed by in a breeze but a lot had changed. Suji had joined the company as a beginner. Yixing was better known with his stage name –Lay. You had avoided bumping into him ever since the breakup. It hurt to see him and it hurt even more when you saw him with Suji.
*************************************************************
Present day:
You sit across from Suji, swinging your leg back and forth, in a deep state of thinking. The door suddenly opens and in walks Lay.
“Why haven’t you been replying to my message,” he says.
“I was just about to,” Suji replies tucking her hair back. He leans in to give her a peck but she pushes him away and signals him to turn around. He does as she says and almost jumps back realizing that you are in the room too. Seeing you so up close, after so long brings a different sort of expression to his face. You can’t read it anymore. It’s hard to. He has distanced himself enough from you, for you to be able to tell what he is thinking.
You smile and get up to leave.
“_____________,” he calls your name. “You don’t have to go.”
‘Oh the irony’- you think to yourself and continue out the door. If only he had said those words a year ago.
“What happened to her?” Suji asks him as soon as you leave. Lay caresses her cheek and then shakes his head. To this day he has been debating if he should tell her about the relationship he had with you.
*******************************************************************
You walked into the building with a heavy heart the next day. You didn’t quite know if it was because of seeing Lay the night before or that you were just tired of waiting for your chance to debut. A staff member called you from the corner and signaled you to go to the office. Your heart began to race. As you took each step, you got even more nervous. All sorts of questions popped up in your head. Why would they be calling you? Are you getting rejected or do they have a good news for you?
You were asked to settle in the chair opposite, the recruitment officer. She was the one who had spotted you outside of your school four years ago.
“So we have finally made a decision for you,” she said. You didn’t know how to respond so you continued to stare at her with a blank expression.
“We have decided to debut you with [Group name] and you will be given the position of the leader.”
“Aigoo,” you blurted out but immediately covered your mouth. You couldn’t believe the words that had just come out of her mouth. She went on to tell you the names of the members but you are too absorbed in your own thoughts to take note of it. Then suddenly you heard a familiar word – ‘Suji’.
“Suji?” you repeated.
“Ah ye, she will be the maknae of the group.”
You immediately clenched your fist and felt your heart sink. Your eyes blinked repeatedly but the information still didn’t sink in. Your heart, your brain, your thoughts, all of them refused to accept it.
“____________ are you alright?” the recruiter asked.
“Huh,” you shook your head. “Ah ye.”
You left the office and slowly walked towards the practice room. As soon as you entered, you heard the girls screaming. They ran towards you and hugged you.
“I am so happy,” you heard one of them say.
“I am so glad you’ll be our leader,” Suji patted your back. “Oh my God I can’t wait to tell Lay.”
You gave her a disgusted look and immediately turned around so she wouldn’t have to witness it.
You were happy but more than that, you were sad. You knew you weren’t strong enough to have to face Suji every day. No matter how hard you tried to like her there was always a little part of you that envied her. She always got more than she deserved. You were a human after all. Throughout the past year you hadn’t allowed your heart to feel anything against her but that day was different. You hated her. You didn’t want to be around her. Little did you know for what was yet to come…
**********************************************
You slid into your bed and turned on the TV. It was the perfect way to get your mind off of whatever that had happened earlier that day. Skipping through channels your finger automatically stopped on the one Exo M was being interviewed on. You had to admit, you had never seen any of their interviews. Lay looked marvelous. Your eyes followed every little movement of his. Even though it had been more than a year since your break up with him, nothing had changed. You still felt the same way towards him. You still wanted to be with him. If only, he knew how much it hurt you to see him with Suji.
“So Lay, you said that you had a big announcement for us today,” the MC asked him.
“Ah, ye. Indeed I do,” he nodded, joining both his hands and leaning forward. “It’s about my girlfriend.”
“Whaa,” the MC gasped. Your jaw dropped in surprise too. You couldn’t believe what you had heard.
“What’ s her name?” the MC asked, after recovering from the heavy bomb Lay had dropped on him.
“Her name is Suji. She is currently a trainee at SM but will soon be debuting.”
You didn’t notice your tears until they dropped on your arm. You shook your head and wiped them off still bewildered and broken. How could he do this to you? He was the one who always said it wasn’t a good idea to tell everyone. And now he was telling the world about it. It didn’t make sense. What was he thinking?
You felt your body collapse on the bed. You turned your head and buried it into the pillow. You wanted to scream but who would come to help? No one. There was absolutely no one…
***************************************************
Almost everyone had left after practice. You, however decided to stay after. You had spent the entire day debating if you should leave or stay. Was there any point in staying at the company if it was going to hurt you every day? You hated yourself for being so weak and not being able to move on.
You stood in the small balcony staring at the dark sky. It was going to start raining soon.
“ Congratulations,” you heard someone say from behind. You turned around, only to find Lay walk towards you. He was the last person you wanted to see at the moment.
“What? So you won’t even talk to me anymore?” he asked, nudging your elbow casually.
“I might leave,” you said after a long pause.
“What do you mean?” he asked, a little surprised. “Isn’t this you wanted ________? You had been waiting for so long. Why do you want to leave now?”
“You won’t understand,” you scoffed.
“What do you ..?” he stopped half way and scrutinized your face. “What is it ________? Come on.. you know you can tell me anything.”
“Really?” you raised your eyebrows, irritated at his casualness. How could he act so normal when he hadn’t talked to you in almost a year?
“Are you mad at me?” he asked, sensing the irritation in your voice.
“Of course I’m mad at you.” You suddenly snapped. You just couldn’t take it anymore. “Do you not dee anything? Are you blind?”
“What are you trying..”
“You’ll never get it will you? Do you even realize how much it hurts me to see you and Suji together? You are such a hypocrite Lay. You ended our relationship because you didn’t want anyone to know about us and now you go on announcing it to the world? If you didn’t love me then why didn’t you just say it straight up? At least, I wouldn’t have gone on believing the lie you had told me. And now, I have to be in the same group as her. See her face every day. Do you really think I can handle all of this? I’m just so ..” you closed your eyes and covered your face with your hands. All the anger that had been boiling up inside you had come out without a warning. You’d left him dumbfounded. He didn’t have anything to say. You were right. He had never bothered giving you any explanations. You looked at him for response but there wasn’t any. He was ashamed and so were you.
“You know what, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said all that,” you said, forcing a smile on your face. You began to walk but he held your hand.
“_________, don’t give up on this. You and I both now how much you wanted this. I may not love you like I did but I still care about you. I want to see you succeed. If you give on this today, you’ll regret it for the rest of your life. I know it will hurt in the beginning but you’ll get over it. And one day a guy will come in your life who will love you and only you. You’ll forget about me. I promise.”
“It’s not that easy.”
“It will be…just .. please don’t go like this.” He slowly let your hand slide out of his. You looked into his eyes and after a long time, you could tell what he was thinking. He really did care this time.
A tear fell from your eye but you wiped it away before he could even lift his hand. You nodded your head with a smile and began to leave.
“And , I’m really sorry for what I did to you,” he mumbled. You had forgiven him already. He didn’t need to say those words, yet it felt good to hear them. You turned half way and this time smiled from all your heart.
Maybe, one day you were going to find someone who loved you and only you. ..

“_________ah, clean your room.” Your mother yelled from the living room.
“I’m cleaning it,” you yelled back without taking your eyes off of the computer screen.
“Are you watching anime again?” she asked.
“Aniyo,” you replied with irritation. You began watching your anime hero kill the bad guys once again. “So beautiful,” you mumbled to yourself. Just then a cold breeze touched your arms. You looked at the open window and cringed your nose. You were too lazy to get up and close it. The best scene was on. The contractor [bad guy] ripped the hero’s shirt apart.
“Aaaaiiii,” you squealed. Just then another wave of chilly wind touched your arms. You sighed and paused the video. Walking to the window, all you could think about was him. As you were pulling it down, your eyes fell on your hero standing in the apartment across from you. He was shirtless, looking for something, running around the room.
“Huhhh!!,” you gasped and rubbed your eyes. ‘How could he be real? He’s an anime character? Am I seeing things?’ You asked yourself. You were really confused as to what was going on. The guy suddenly looked up at you. He glared at you for staring at him. It took you a minute to realize how stupid you looked. You quickly hid behind the curtains and bit your lip.
“Oh Gosh, that’s a real human not an anime character,” you mumbled, tucking your hair behind your ear. Your ears turned red with embarrassment. You slightly poked your head through the curtains, only to find him still looking at your window. You moved back again.
“Ummaaa,” you called out running to the living room. “When did we get new neighbors?”
“They moved in a week ago. You would know, if you knew life existed outside of your little viral world.”
“Aaaaann,” you pouted.
“Okay okay, now go clean up,” she instructed.
***********************************************
“Class we have a new student coming in today,” your teacher announced. The silence in the room was replaced by whispers and muffled voices. Even you thought to yourself, as to who would join school in the middle of the semester. You were stunned as the new student walked in class. It was that same guy you’d seen in the window across from yours. It was that same guy who you thought was an anime character and it was that same guy you had wished to never see again. He looked around the class. His eyes met yours for a brief second but you quickly looked away.
“Hi, my name is Kris,” he said waving his hand. Every single girl [except you] in the room gasped. His features, his body, his skin, everything was perfect. You weren’t the only one who thought he was flawless and almost unreal. Kris went and sat in an empty seat in the corner. You turned around to look at him for a quick second. Once again your eyes met his. Your ears turned red when he smirked at you. You frowned and turned around, hoping he wouldn’t tell anyone about what had happened a few days back.
Your eyes were fixed on the clock. As soon as the bell rang, you sprang out of your chair and ran for the door.
“Hey wait,” a voice from behind you said.
You turned around and of course, it was Kris. He caught up to you. “Hey!,” he said once again.
“Hey,” you mumbled back clenching your book to your chest.
“I’m new here. You wanna help me around?” he asked.
“Ummm I’m a little busy,” you said hurriedly and ran away.
You knew well that Kris had gotten the wrong idea but you just couldn’t talk to him. He made you nervous. You couldn’t even look him straight in the eyes.
*********************************************
A week had passed away and you’d only hated your Biology class more. Every time Kris entered the room, your heart began racing. You weren’t even sure if you liked him or your anime hero. Kris hadn’t tried talking to you ever since you’d scared him away with your silliness. He didn’t even make eye contact with you. You secretly regretted it but then you suppressed the feeling, thinking it was for the best.
You shuffled in bed from side to side not being able to sleep. This empty feeling, inside of you was bothering you. You sighed and got out of bed to get dressed. There was one thing you loved doing on cold winter nights; playing basketball, to get your mind off of things. You tip toed out of the apartment and went down stairs. You could hear dribbling of a basket ball from the distance. ‘Who could be silly enough to be playing at this time of the night..?’ you thought to yourself.
“What are you doing here?” the guy in the court asked you as you approached him.
“I want to play too,” you said.
“Do you know how to play?” he asked.
“Of course,” you mumbled. He took a step forward to reveal his face in the light.
“Oh Gosh,” you gasped seeing Kris stand before you.
“Why do you always do that when you see me?” he asked making a face.
“What?” you asked looking from here to there in nervousness.
“That,” he said squinting his eyes. “I’m not that scary you know.”
“It’s not that.”
“Then what is it?”
“I’m embarrassed.”
“Of what?”
“The other day.”
“The other day? The one in school or the one when you stared at me through your window?” he asked with an amused expression.
“See! This is what I’m talking about,” you pouted and turned around to leave.
“Wait,” he pulled you back. “Why were you looking at me?”
“Because you..,” you began but stopped. If you told him, you thought he looked like an anime character, he’d laugh at you and then never talk to you.
“Nothing,” you mumbled.
“Tell me,” he insisted.
“Aniyo,” you shook you head and snatched the ball from him.
“Oh no you didn’t,” he said coming after you. And so began the game between you and him.
“You know lots of girls in school tell me that I look like an anime character from this series.” Kris said trying to get the ball from you.
“Really? How stupid,” you said making a basket.
“I know right,” he said and clapped for you. You were glad you didn’t tell him.
******************************************************
“At least, drink your milk,” your mother called after you. You were running late.
“I don’t have time,” you said and closed the door behind you. Kris closed the door to his apartment at the same time. Both you and him gave each other a smile.
“Hey _________,” he called you.
“Ye,” you turned around.
“Want me to give you a ride?” he asked.
“Sure,” you replied with a faint smile, thinking about all the girls at school who would be so jealous seeing you with him.
‘This is a good start’ - both you and Kris thought and smiled to yourself.

“_________ ah, are you going to come to my birthday party or not?” Your friend asked with a slight hint of irritation. She’d already asked you this question a bunch of times before. You didn’t like social gatherings, especially the ones your friend went too. Her dad was really rich so the parties she went to were high class. She always invited you but you turned her down because you felt like you won’t be able to fit in. This time was different however since it was her boyfriend’s masked birthday party.
“_________!” she shook you this time.
“Huhnhh! Umm yeah okay. I’ll come.” The very next second you found yourself wrapped tightly in Eunsol’s arms.
“Oh the things I do for you,” you said making a funny face.
“Saranghae!” she said excitedly.
“Saranghae!” you mumbled back.
***********************************************************
“I still don’t understand why he’s having such a big birthday party? When I have a birthday party I go to a small bubble tea shop with a friend,” you said making a face.
“Oh Shhhh! Don’t let him hear you. A lot of ‘cool’ people are here so try to mingle with them,” Eunsol nagged you.
“Aish,” you made a face while putting on the mask.
You were glad it was a masked birthday party. That way nobody would be able to see your face and you wouldn’t be as nervous as you usually are. Most girls brought dates. They were having fun on the dance floor while you stood in the corner playing with your drink. You sipped some but immediately threw it back in the glass. It was disgusting. You looked around to make sure no one saw you. Everybody was busy in their own world. Nobody would care to look at a random girl standing in the corner minding her own business.
You’d started to regret the idea of coming to the party. Being amongst so many people, you were still lonely. A cold breeze of air touched your bear arms. ‘Ahh a balcony,’ you thought looking at the open door. Squeezing through the crowd you somehow made it outside. It was chilly but at the time anything was better than staying inside and humiliating yourself.
The dark sky was lit with beautiful stars. It looked beautiful. You didn’t smile that often but looking at the glittery dark sheet always cheered you up. Memories of your childhood started coming back to you. Your dad would take you to the rooftop. He would lift your hand up and then draw patterns, connecting the stars. He would then tell you fairytales about princesses. You always wondered when your prince charming was going to come and sweep you off your feet. You missed your daddy. Your only wish on every 11:11, every shooting star, every eye lash that fell on your cheek, was for him to come back. Tears started forming in your eyes but you quickly wiped them away.
“It’s not nice for a pretty girl to be crying at a party like this one,” somebody suddenly came besides you and said. You calmed your nerves and turned sideways to see who it was. He wasn’t looking at you. He was looking up at the sky, just like you were a little while back. His skin looked beautiful in the dim light and the dimple on his cheek was killing you on the inside. You were a sucker for dimples.
“I’m not crying,” you mumbled.
“It’s okay. You don’t have to lie to me,” he said. You looked back at him. He seemed to speak without any emotions.
“Were you thinking about someone?” he asked. You shook your head. He turned his face towards you for a brief second then looked away.
“Every time I look at the stars I think about the person I loved dearly,” he began. Your heart sank for a second. You wanted to know who it was but asking him would be weird. You barely knew him.
“Who was it?” you asked hesitantly.
“My childhood friend,” he said and then paused. “We loved each other.. a lot until..”
“Until?” you asked.
“Until.. … aaaa..” his voice chocked. “Do you want to dance?” he changed the topic immediately.
“What?” you whispered at the sudden question.
“Ye. Come on..” he offered you his hand. You felt like some sort of a force was pulling you towards him. You took his hand and followed him inside. Your favorite song ‘Seven years of love’ was playing. He placed one hand around your waist and held your hand in the other.
“I don’t know how to dance,” you said meekly.
“I’ll teach you,” he pushed you back as you twirled then he pulled you close once again. His eyes looked beautiful as they stared into yours. You couldn’t help but look at the slight dip next to his smooth lips. Was he even real? You asked yourself. You wanted to see the face behind the mask.
You heard him chuckle.
“What?” you asked. He shook his head, keeping the faint smile on his face.
“What?” you asked again.
“It’s the way you’re looking at me,” he said. Your face turned red and your hands started shaking. You’d never failed to embarrass yourself.
“Mianhe,” you said looking away.
“Don’t be nervous,” he said squeezing your hands to let them relax. “You’re doing great.”
The song was coming to an end. He was going to leave soon. You didn’t want him too. You wanted him to stay. You wanted to know more about him.
“You didn’t tell me what happened to her?” you asked. His smile disappeared and his skin grew pale.
“I’m sor..” you began to say but he cut you.
“She died in a car accident.” You looked up instantly. You were having difficulty registering the words in your head.
“What?” you gasped. He leaned in and gave you a light peck on the cheek. The song ended, and his hands slowly slipped out of yours. You stood there as if struck by lightning. Before you knew it, his figure faded into the crowd.
“Wait..” you whispered but it was too late. He was gone. How could it be that a guy as charming as him went through so much in life? You felt a tinge of pain in your heart. You didn’t know when you got pushed off of the dance floor by the crowd. You were now standing in the corner, your eyes wandering from side to side, trying to look for him. Your brain kept telling you that whatever happened wasn’t real but your heart kept poking you to go look for him.
As always you listened to your brain. It would be stupid to go after him. The brief encounter you’d had with him was beautiful enough. You wanted to remember it just as it was. Maybe that’s how it was meant to be. Nothing more, nothing less. You sighed and looked once more at the keyed up crowd and then turned around shaking your head.
You were going to remember that night forever…
*********************************************
One month later..
The mall wasn’t as crowded as it usually was on Sunday mornings. You walked, deeply engulfed in your thoughts. Somebody suddenly bumped into you.
“Oh I’m sorry,” the guy held you for a second before moving on again. You brushed the hair off of your face quickly in response to the familiar fragrance. It was quick enough for you to catch a glimpse of the slight dip next to his lips. You knew it was him. It had to be. The bags you had in your hand dropped, as you stood their staring at him fading into the pool of people once again. Just like a month ago, your heart poked you to go after him. Stop him. You took a step.. but then shook your head and turned around. A smile appeared on your face as a line ran through your head, ‘Leave it the way it is…’
Lay turned around and saw you walking. A voice in the back of his head kept telling him that you were the one. You were the girl from the party. He hit the back of his head as a smile appeared on his face. He too turned around shaking his head and continued walking. He was also going to ‘Leave it the way it was..’

“Ahhhhhhhhhhh, it’s so hot,” Luhan whined, while solving his rubix cube.
“Ummm are you okay? Oppa?” you asked looking up from your magazine.
“Don’t you feel hot?” he asked rolling around, now looking at you.
“Nope I’m fine,” you said shaking your head. Just then Xiumin walked in. “Oh Good you’re here oppa, now use your powers to make Luhan oppa feel better.”
Luhan chuckled and squinted his eyes at you.
“What are you guys talking about?” he said in confusion. “And why is it so hot in here?”
“Seeee!! I told you it was hot,” Luhan said booing at you. You pouted.
“They need to fix the air conditioner in this practice room soon. ________ah, tell the managers.”
You looked up for a brief second and nodded your head. The boys were done with their practice for the day and were just freshening up. You were responsible for taking care of all their needs while they practiced. It wasn’t really a job but since you were the manager’s sister, he pulled some strings for you.
“________ ah, are you..??”
“What?” you looked up once again interrupted from your reading. Just then Chen walked into the room. The wrinkles on your forehead vanished immediately and light pink touch of blush took over your cheeks. You quickly looked away.
“Oh Gosh it’s hot in here,” he said waving his hands in the air.
“Ye,” Xiuhan remarked.
“Let’s play a game!” Luhan suggested.
“What kind?” Chen asked.
“Ummm Truth and Dare?”
“Truth and Dare? Don’t you remember last time we played that game?” Xiumin asked with an amusing expression.
“Yep, that’s exactly why I want to play again,” he said and winked back.
Kris, Lay and Tao entered the room.
“Wow its h…” Kris said but Xiumin and Luhan cut him. “Hot in here! Yes we know.”
You couldn’t help but notice the conversation the boys were having.
“Wanna play Truth and dare?” Chen asked.
“Sure,” Tao replied. Kris and Lay followed.
“Hey __________, don’t you want to play?” Luhan asked throwing a stuff ball at you.
“Aaaa, no thanks,” you replied without looking. You didn’t like making eye contact with Chen so you tried best possible to keep away from him.
“Oh come on,” Tao whined and got up to walk towards you. He grabbed your hand and dragged you to the small circle the boys had formed.
“Sit here,” he said making you sit across from Chen. Just what you needed. Every time you saw his face, your face turned red and your heart began racing. You frowned as Chen looked at you. The smile on his face disappeared. You then kept your eyes fixed to the ground. There was a sort of awkwardness between you and him. You didn’t want him to find out you had feelings for him because that was going to be nothing but a hot mess. Your brother had warned you about such things before you entered the company.
“Okay let’s start,” Kris announced spinning the bottle.
“Tao, Tao, Tao, Tao,” everybody chanted trying to annoy the maknae. Tao pouted and folded his arms. The bottle stopped on Xiumin.
“Ha Ha Ha,” Tao said showing the members his tongue. Xiumin made a face and squinted his eyes.
“I choose dare. Bring it on,” he said sighing.
“Do a back flip,” Kris said suddenly.
“Whoaaaa!! I’m not Lay,” Xiumin said widening his eyes.
“That’s the beauty of it,” Kris replied with a cunning smile.
“Oh I hate you,” Xiumin made a face and bent backwards to get ready. He’d done a back flip once in his life and had sworn to never do it again but here he was, doing it again.
“Woaahhhhh,” the other members gasped as Xiumin did the back flip. He almost slipped.
“Hyung that wasn’t even that hard. Let me choose next time,” Tao nudged Kris.
The bottle was spun once again and this time it stopped on Luhan. Everybody cheered loudly.
“Truth or Dare?” Xiumin asked raising his eyebrows.
“Dare, of course.” Luhan replied with a calm smile on his face.
“OH I have one,” Tao said raising his hand.
“Calm down, we’re not in a school,” Lay said and slapped his back.
“Take of Xiumin Lay hyung’s socks,” he said with an evil smile.
“Umm okay!” Luhan said with a flat face. “What’s so bad about that?”
“Did I mention that you have to do it with your mouth?”
“Whaaatttt!!!” Luhan jumped back. The members started laughing. You began to laugh too. The atmosphere was lightening up for you.
“I love that one,” Xiumin said and clapped.
You looked at Chen from the corner of your eyes. He looked so innocent and adorable looking at the member’s laughing. Little did he know that his smile lightened up your day. It was like warmth that your heart felt. He turned his head but you quickly looked away.
Luhan went down on his knees while Lay took off his shoes.
“Why are you guys doing this to me?” he whined.
“Not so exciting now huh?” Xiumin said with a cheeky smile.
“I hate all of you,” he said while placing his mouth close to Lay’s feet. “Good thing, he actually washes his feet.” Luhan leaned in and closed his eyes. “Oh I hate this,” he mumbled and then without stopping he quickly took the socks off.
Everybody clapped for him. You took the turn to spin the bottle this time. It stopped on Kris.
“Truth or Dare?” you asked with a meek voice.
“Truth,” he replied.
“Whattt!!! I thought we made a rule nobody could choose truth. We had to choose dare,” said Lay.
“What who made that rule?” you asked. “Why do you guys even ask ‘truth or dare’ when people can’t choose that?”
“We made that a long time ago because the game is more fun that way,” Chen replied. You weren’t expecting him to, since he never talked that much. Your heart fluttered on the inside but on the outside you pushed yourself to show a flat face.
“Alright, alright!” Kris lifted his hands. “I choose dare.”
“Do a sexy dance,” Lay said glaring at him.
“Sexy dance? What does that mean?” he replied, making a face.
“You know, where you move like this,” Lay said waving his hand.
“That makes no sense,” Kris replied.
“I know,” Tao said snapping his fingers. “Do it with _________.”
“Huh! Me?” your heart sank in surprise. Your eyes immediately turned to Chen. He seemed just as surprised and a little upset too. You didn’t quite understand why.
“You’re sexy, Kris hyung is sexy. It would be perfect.” Tao said.
“Tao,” Chen glared at him and then hit him on the back.
“What?” Tao snapped back.
“Aish, stop,” Kris shushed ever body and offered you his hand. You didn’t want to refuse because that would be mean. You looked at Chen as if asking for his approval. He looked away. There was no choice but to Kris’s hand. He immediately pulled you up and close to him. Luhan and began singing.
‘This moment feels like I was born as a child who knew nothing
I closed my eyes again in case it would be a dream
You were standing in fron of my desperate self and praying
Just once, I want to walk side by side with you’
“Come on Chen sing with me,” he nudged Chen. Chen pouted and shook his head.
Kris ran his hands along the side of your body and then pulled you closer to his chest. He moved his face near you neck and pretended to kiss you.
“Oh woooo!! *whistles* “ the guys cheered while clapping. You blushed and pulled away.
“That was fun,” Kris said winking at you as you settled down. You didn’t know what to say so just smiled back.
I want to spin the bottle this time Lay said taking it from Xiumin. It stopped on Lay.
“What sorcery is this?” he exclaimed.
“Aaaa I have one,” Luhan said excitedly. He got up and ran to the corner of the room. He returned with a small box in his hand.
“What’s that?”
“Baoziiiiii,” Luhan replied with a cheeky smile. “Feed those to Kris hyung.”
“Oh wait and did I mention that you have to do this with your mouth?” he said finally finishing.
“Whaaa,” Lay said pouting. “You know how much I hate close interactions.”
“I did it, you should do it too. Unless you want a punishment.”
Lay glared at Luhan and took the box from him. He really was uncomfortable with such stuff. You were thanking God that the bottle hadn’t stopped on you. You could only imagine what the guys would tell you to do.
You couldn’t help but laugh at Lay feeding Kris the baozi with his mouth. You felt like somebody was tickling your stomach. Kris was smiling right at Lay. For some reason he was enjoying it. Lay frowned and picked up the next one from his mouth and then offered it to Kris.
“Happy?” he asked the members, finishing the job. Everybody clapped once again. Xiumin spun the bottle next. Surprisingly it stopped on you.
“Oh no!” you mumbled. Nobody knew what to say because you was always so quiet.
“Uhhhhhhh,” Luhan said closing one of his eyes acting like he was thinking.
“Ummm kiss someone?” Lay said with a flat face.
“What?” you gasped.
“That’s the least you can do after what all of us did,” Lay tried to persuade you.
“ Kiss someone?” you repeated in disbelief.
“Come on! We are all oppas here!” Kris said winking at you.
“Kiss Chen,” Tao shouted.
“Whaaaa!” your eyes widened with surprise. Xiumin began laughing at your reaction.
“Why are you so surprised?” he asked. “You guys barely talk. It will be good to break the ice.”
“Aniyo,” you said shaking your head.
“If you don’t do it then you’ll have to receive the punishment and I don’t think you want to go down that road ___________.” Lay said with a serious expression. You turned to Chen. He seemed to be very calm. He was neither smiling or frowning. All he was doing was looking at you with his sparkling eyes.
“Come on,” Tao pushed you.
You got up and so did Chen. Your hands began shaking and your heart raced till the point you knew it would explode. You gulped a spit and walked closer to him. Without looking at him you quickly gave him a peck on the cheek and turned around.
“Umm what was that?” Luhan said making a face.
“I kissed him!” you replied.
“We definitely meant kiss on the lips,” he said with a mischievous smile.
“Are you kidding me?” you asked, getting a little mad.
“Nope,” he shook his head. You felt like someone held your hand. It was Chen. You turned to look at him.
“Do it!” he said with a serious face.
“No!” you snapped back in anger. You didn’t mean too but the situation was so sensitive you had no other choice. The laughter that had filled the air a few moments ago was gone. The room fell silent. Chen’s hand slowly slipped out of yours. The next second he was leaving the room. You didn’t know what to do. Run after him or stay inside. If you stayed inside the glares from the others were going to burn holes in your body and if you went outside you would have to face Chen.
“___________ everything alright?” Kris asked you.
“Huh!” you shook your head. “I think I should go talk to him.” you said trying to avoid the other members.
You sighed as soon as you walked out of the room. Each step that you took to find Chen was making you more and more nervous.
“Oppa where is Chen?” you asked your brother as he walked past you.
“I saw him go up on the roof. Why?” he asked.
“Uh nothing. I have to give him something.”
“Oh alright,” he said and walked away.
You slowly climbed the stairs, dreading the moment you’d have to confront him.
“Oppa!” you said his name opening the door to the roof. He ignored you. You walked up to him but made sure to stay behind so he won’t see your face.
“Mianhe!” you mumbled. He didn’t respond. “I didn’t mean to say what I said.” You tried once again but all to no avail. You wanted to cry.
“Say something,” Your voice chocked. He’d made up his mind not to say anything. This was it. You’d messed up the little chances you had of ever telling him that you liked him. You turned to leave, hoping he would stop you. You were at the door when he finally spoke.
“Why did you refuse to kiss me?” he asked. You didn’t know what to say. Chen turned around. His eyes were red and puffy. Your heart felt heavy. You were the reason for those tears and that’s the last thing you wanted.
“Why are you crying?” you asked hesitantly. Chen walked and stopped close to you. He swiftly slipped his hand behind your back and then used the other to remove the strands of hair from your face.
“Do you like me?” he asked. You felt tongue tied. Your eyes wandered from side to side with nervousness.
“_________!” he shook you. You were still thinking about what to say when Chen pressed his lips against yours. For a second you couldn't believe but as reality started to sink in you tried to push him away. Something made you stop though. You gave in and stepped back as he pinned you to the wall. You could never imagine him like this. He was very soft an gentle.
When he pulled away he had a huge smile on his face. You returned the smile.
“I’m sorry,” he said scratching his head. You shook your head, trying to tell him that he didn't need to apologize.
“_________, will you go out with me?” he asked.
“What no!” you said suddenly then bit your tongue for speaking to soon. Chen looked at you with a confused expression. He seemed to be disappointed.
“I’m scared of my brother,” you mumbled.
“We don’t have to tell everybody,” he said holding your hand.
“But..”
“Don’t be scared. I’ll be with you.”
He lifted your chin so you could look at him. His eyes showed reassurance.
You squeezed his hand. He took that as a yes and hugged you immediately.
“Thank you,” he whispered. A smile spread on your face. He understood you without you having to say anything.

MY FIRST CHEN SCENARIO <3
I feel like an overworked Zombie right now so don’t judge me for the lame title. [ I never finished proof reading but I’ll do it tomorrow] :)
The long awaited part 2. I hope you guys like it :) *fingercrossed*
“You seem so lost today? What happened? You weren’t like this before we went downtown this morning?” Eunsun asked Kris.
He didn’t respond. He stared into blank space thinking about what he had seen earlier at the bubble tea shop. He thought he had completely gotten over you but seeing you with your son made him jealous and a little angry. The last four years hadn’t been any pleasant for him. He’d been in two relationships and none of them had worked out. How could you be so happy in your life while he was so miserable? He wanted to confront you and demand answers for all the questions he had.
“Oppaaa!” Eunsun shook him.
“Huh!” he pulled his head out of his deep thoughts and looked at her. She pouted and shifted in bed.
“What?” he said in a sort of irritating tone.
“Nothing!” she mumbled.
“Fine!” he said giving up without even trying. That was his problem and he still hadn’t realized it.
Painful memories from the past started registering in his head again. He remembered how he would nag you about everything and you never yelled back. You apologized even when it wasn’t your fault. He took your niceness as your weakness.
“Eunsun ah, I’m sorry,” he mumbled realizing that he had messed up three relationships he certainly didn’t want that to happen again.
“Whatever,” she replied making it clear that she was still angry.
Kris sighed and closed his eyes. He still had a lot on his mind and he needed to clear all of that first.
**********************************************************
A month later..
Kris jogged down an unfamiliar path. He decided to take a different route that day because he felt like he needed a change. The weather was chilly but he didn’t stop for once.
Going downhill, a familiar image captured his gaze. It was you and your son. You were walking him to school. After recovering from stumbling he began to follow you.
You stopped in front of a small building a while later. “Finish your lunch today or I won’t give you any from tomorrow,” you warned Eunsuk before giving him a kiss on the cheek.
“But everybody’s Umma’s gives them chips and biscuits and you always give me bread and eggs. Other kids make fun of me,” he pouted.
“Well, then they won’t be healthy like my little Eunsuk,” you ran your fingers through his hair and forced an encouraging smile on your face. “Now smile!”
A faint smile appeared on his face and he hurried inside the school. You sighed and got up to return but bumped into someone.
“Oh I’m so sorry,” you apologized, tucking your hair behind your ear. You looked up only to find Kris standing in front of you. This was the first time you’d seen him in four years. You’d never prepared yourself, as to what you would do if you ever saw him. Your heart sank to your stomach and you immediately looked away. You began to walk but he blocked you.
“I need to talk!” he said with a stern voice.
“I don’t have time,” you replied without making eye contact. You began to walk once again but he followed close behind.
“Go away Kris,” you warned.
“No!” he said pulling you into a small alley.
“What are you doing? People are watching!”
“Nobody is watching,” he said slamming his palm on the wall behind you. The fear you had of him four years ago started coming back.
“You left me without giving a warning and now you’re enjoying a happy life with someone else! ” he said grinding his teeth. “Those divorce papers, they..” he stopped and looked away. After a while he looked back at you.“How dare you? Do you know what I think? I think everything in that letter was a lie. Maybe you were cheating on me? Maybe you were carrying someone else’s child and so ..”
“Shut up Kris, just shut up!” you cut him short and pushed him. The anger that you’d kept inside of you for so long was finally coming out. He was accusing you of cheating on him when all you had done was to leave him for his happiness.
He advanced towards you but you stopped him.
“Stop it!” you glared. He glared back, his eyes burning with rage. A tear rolled out of your eyes but you wiped it immediately. You shook your head in disappointment and began to walk.
You stopped at the corner of the alley. The voice inside was poking you. You wanted him to know the truth. It was high time you told him but was that really going to change anything? Nevertheless, you went along with your heart.
“I never remarried,” you mumbled and began to walk again. Kris looked up immediately, his eyes wide open with surprise. Your words didn’t quite make sense to him.
“Never remarried?” he mumbled in confusion. Then something hit him. He began to recall the walk in the park before you left him…
Flashback:
“Doesn’t that couple look cute?” you asked.
“Ye,” he replied
“What do you think about having a baby?” you asked.
“Aish, too much responsibility. I think if we should have a baby it should at least be 2 to 3 years from now. We shouldn’t rush with everything.”
His mouth fell half open. It just dawned on him that you were trying to tell him that you were pregnant with his child. He lifted his hands and buried his face in them. ‘That child is my baby’ he thought as a tear rolled out of his eyes. He looked back up at your fading image in the fog. You were gone and once again you’d left him devastated and confused. He regretted yelling at you and accusing you. How were you ever going to forgive him now?
********************************************************
Kris paced back and forth in his room. He had to figure out a way to find you. There were still unanswered questions in his head. He was happy to find out that there was a living part of him in this world but deep down he was scared. Scared of what? He had no idea.
‘I should demand custody of my child. No, no! She will never agree. She has every right over our child. I was the irresponsible one. I pushed her away. But then again, she should have told me. I would have thought of something. I wasn’t just going to leave her. So should I go talk to her? Will she let me see him? Will she tell him that I’m his father? ……..More importantly will she take me back?’
“What’s wrong now?” Eunsun asked entering the room. Kris was still moving back and forth with wrinkles on his forehead.
“Not now! Eunsun!” he showed her the hand.
“What? I just asked you what was wrong. Stop yelling at me.”
“I’m not yelling at you.”
“Yes you clearly are.” She lifted her hands in frustration. “You know what I’m done with this.”
“Done with what?” Kris asked as she picked up her bag and shoes.
“I’m leaving.”
“What do you mean you’re leaving?” he grabbed her wrist.
She leaned in,” I’m done with you.” Kris’s hand slid away and before he could stop her, Eunsun was gone.
************************************************************
You were running a little late. You had just gotten home from work and it was already time to pick up Eunsuk. You heard a faint knock on the door.
“Hold on! I’m coming.” You said running towards the door while trying to wear your shoes. As the door opened, opposite you stood Kris and your son. Your eyes widened with shock but was quickly replaced by anger.
“What are you doing here?” you asked Kris.
“Umma, he told me he is my dad. Is that true?” your son asked innocently while licking his ice cream.
“Eunsuk, go to your room!” you said sternly. He looked at you with his big eyes not understanding what was happening. You took his hand out of Kris’s and began to walk him.
“_________ listen to me.”
“Please go away Kris,” you said as calmly as possible. The last thing you wanted to do was to fight in front of Eunsuk.
Kris followed you to Eunsuk’s room.
“Stay here!” you instructed your son and closed his door. Kris followed you back to the living room.
“What?” you snapped turning around. “Why are you here?”
He knew he dare not say that he wanted you back because that was just going to make you more angry. In fact he himself was confused as to what he wanted at the moment.
“I wanted to see my son,” he replied after a while.
“Meet your son!” you raised your eyebrows.
“Yes, my son! The son you never bothered telling me about. I have every right over him and you can’t keep him away from me like this.”
“Oh go away please!” you snickered. Kris tried to calm himself. He knew that yelling at each other was not going to help.
“_________,” he said softly. “Why did you never tell me? Why didn’t you tell me about him?”
“Would that have changed anything?” you questioned.
“Yes, it would have. It would have changed everything.”
“How?…Are you telling me that you would have taken responsibility for him?”
“Yes! He is my son. Of course I would have.”
“Really? Do you ever realize how you behaved back then? And frankly speaking I don’t see any difference even now.”
“How do you know I wouldn’t have? No matter what, you can’t deny the fact that I loved you. I was going to take care of him and you.”
“Loved me?” you leaned in closer to him. “If you loved me you would have come looking for me.” You began to cry. “Did you, even try for once?”
He didn’t know what to say. In fact he asked himself the same question. Why didn’t he look for you?
“Just leave it Kris. What’s happened has happened. I’ve moved on and I am sure you have too… so why don’t we…”
“I never signed the divorce papers,” he cut you short, leaving you in a shock.
“Huhhhh,” you gasped.
“I had hope!” he said with a crying face. For a second you saw in him the Kris that you’d met for the first time. The Kris who loved you deeply.
Your expressions softened. “Please come back to me. Let’s be a family again.” He said holding your hand. “I’ll make it right this time. I won’t ever hurt you again. I’ll make it work for us. Give me another chance.”
You kept shaking your head as more tears rolled out of your eyes.
“I want to be with you and with my son. The past years have not been easy for me. If you say that I didn’t think about you for once that would be wrong. Because I did think about you. Had I known I had a son with you, I would have come running, after for you.”
You looked up at him and gently slid your hand out of his grip. “That’s the problem. You would have come looking for me if you knew you had a son otherwise you would never be standing in this living room today.”
You’d left him speechless. He didn’t know what to say anymore. The tiny tinge of hope that he’d had was also gone now. He stood before you with his eyes fixed towards the floor.
“Please, just leave! Eunsuk and I are perfectly happy in our lives,” you said. You knew that was a lie. You were miserable. You needed someone but the truth was, you’d never stopped loving Kris. You couldn’t move on because all those years you had hope. And now that he was standing in front of you, you were throwing it all away once again. Kris began to walk out of the apartment. You collapsed on the ground and buried your face into your hands. You wanted to cry for the rest of the night.
“Umma,” Eunsuk placed his hand on your shoulder. You had no idea when he’d left his room. You looked up at him. He lifted his tiny hands to wipe the tears out of your eyes. He looked like he was about to cry too. “Is he not my appa?” he asked you as a tear rolled out of his eyes and fell on your hands. You felt like somebody sucked all the energy out of you. His words shot straight through your heart. ‘How can I be so selfish? I didn’t even think about Eunsuk and his future,’ you thought to yourself.
“I am so sorry,” you said and embraced him. “I’m so so sorry.” The sound of you and him crying, filled the silent room. You began to hate yourself for what you’d done and you knew you couldn’t forgive yourself for that. Eunsuk meant everything to you then why did you not think about?
“Don’t cry!” you stroked his head. “Everything will be fine.”
You consoled him but there was nobody to console you. The emptiness inside you, was howling like a rage monster. Moments passed away and both you and Eunsuk continued to cry in each other’s arms. His was too young for all of this. He had no idea what was going on. All he knew was that his mother was crying.
You felt a pair of hands on your shoulders. You pulled away from Eunsuk and turned around. Kris was right behind you, his eyes red and puffy. He’d never left. He’d been standing at the door watching you break down.
Right away he pulled both you and Eunsuk into a hug.
“Please ________!” he whispered into your ear. You felt so weak and tired. The battle you’d been fighting with yourself was finally over. You’d given up. He’d won once again but maybe this time it was victory for both of you. You rested your head against his chest and closed your eyes. Kris kissed Eunsuk and then you, wiping your tears away.
He was going to start over and this time he was going to make it right…

You walked into the house, throwing your hand bag off to Narnia. You took off your shoes and left them in the corridor. You looked at your mother for a quick second but continued walking. Just then something hit you. She was smiling. She was smiling looking at something on her phone. Last time you saw her smiling was five years ago when your appa was still alive. You slowly walked up to her and sat beside her.
“Umma..”
“Huh?” she jumped up in surprise.
A smile spread on your face as she tried to hide her phone. You felt like your role had been reversed. Usually you were the one hiding your phone from her.
“Seriously?” you raised your eyebrows.
“When did you get home?” she asked.
“Just now..” you mumbled.
“How was work?”
“I’m quitting soon. I hate this job,” you said with frustration.
She nodded, pretending to listen but you knew well that in the back of her head she was thinking something else. Something far too important, hence the faint smile on her face.
“Umma,” you shook her.
“Aish, I’m listening,” she made a face.
“Just tell me what’s going on. You and I both know you won’t be able to hide it forever.”
Her smile disappeared for a second but she immediately recovered it.
“I think it’s time I tell you.”
“Time? What? What are you talking about?”
“Shhhhh..” she nodded her head and made you sit next to her on the couch.
“________, I’ve been seeing this guy for a while ..” she felt your hand slip out of her. You felt a slight twinge of pain. You’d always seen your umma with your appa. They had to be together, always. “Well sort of ishhh,” she corrected herself.
“What do you mean? For how long?” you asked after a while.
“Five months.”
Your mouth fell open. Five months and you didn’t have a single clue about it. Disappointment made its way to your face and you turned sideways to hide the forming tears. Both you and her sat in silence for a long time. You could see her playing with her fingers. She did that when she was nervous.
You raised your head slightly to look at her. The face that was shining brightly a half hour ago was dull. The life that you’d seen on it was gone once again. It suddenly hit you, how selfish you were being. Her happiness was above all. At the moment, her feelings were more important. It was her life and she deserved to be happy. She had lived in agony for the past five years. If life was giving her a second chance than you had no right to come in her way.
You slowly slid your hand on top of hers. She immediately looked at you. You turned to her and held her face.
“So when am I seeing him?” you asked and winked to avoid getting teary eyed. A smile spread on your mothers face and she embraced you.
“Soon.. very soon,” she whispered to you.
****************************************************************
“Tuck in your shirt properly,” your mother nagged you as the two of you waited for the door to open.
“Umma I’m not a teenager anymore. Stop doing that,” you pouted.
She smiled at you. “And did I mention that he also has a s…” before she could finish, the door opened and a guy much much younger than your mother stood on the opposite side.
You gave him a strange look. Your mother could not be seeing him. He was far too young for her. In fact he seemed to be around your age. He smiled at the two of you and moved aside so both you and her could enter.
“________ah, come in,” your mother pulled you. You remained your eye contact with him. He seemed to be getting a little uncomfortable with the way you were looking at him.
“Annyeonghaseyo,” you heard a voice say from behind. You turned around, to find an older guy entering the living room. It finally dawned on you. Your mother was trying to tell you that he had a son.
You greeted him and all of you settled down. He seemed like a really nice guy, a little dominating but nice.
“Yixing, why don’t you show her around?” he asked his son, sensing the awkward atmosphere in the room.
‘Yixing’ got up immediately as if waiting for someone to tell him to leave. It seemed like somebody had sucked the life out of him. Still, there was something about him that was attracting you towards him. For a while, you forgot why you were at their house.
“Come on,” he mumbled walking past you. You got up and followed.
“There really isn’t anything to show,” he said after showing you the balcony and then stepping into his own room.
You took a deep breath and looked around. The room was plain with only a few fixed artifacts. You hesitated but then sat on his bed. You felt him cringe a little but he came and sat beside you too.
“Why the flat face?” you asked. He didn’t respond but continued to stare into space. You felt like you were bothering him. Maybe he was just as upset as you were when you first found out about your parents. You thought for a while and began again.
“Listen, I know it’s a little upsetting to see our parents move on in life but I think we should both take a step back and let them figure this out. We should be happy for them.”
Still no response. Maybe you were just annoying him. You thought it better to just get up and leave. You were at the door when he mumbled something.
“What?” you turned around and asked.
“I’m happy for them,” he said pulling a fake smile. You could still see how upset he was. You went back and sat beside him.
“It’ll be alright soon,” you tried to comfort him. You felt him slide a little. You didn’t realize that you’d been sitting a little too close to him. You looked at him from the corner of your eyes. There was a mysterious aura. You wanted to know what was going on inside his head.
“________, Yixing, dinner is ready,” you heard your mother’s voice.
“We should get used to that,” you said with a cheeky smile. He looked at you with a flat face once again. You could see that he was trying hard to smile but something inside of him was stopping him.
***************************************************
“So do you like him?” you mom asked as the two of you settled on the couch. You were relieved that you were finally back home.
“He’s great,” you said but your thoughts were elsewhere. You were still thinking about Yixing.
“What do you think about Yixing?” she asked.
“Him? Why him?” you asked defensively.
“I might need your help with something.” You looked at her so she could finish. “Yixing’s father is very worried about him.”
“He should be. There is clearly something wrong with him” you rolled your eyes.
“________, I’m serious.”
“What is it?” you asked.
“He just got out of a two year relationship so he is really devastated.”
“Whaaaaaa,” you gasped. She nodded apologetically.
“He wants you to hang out with him some more. He feels that you can make him feel better especially since the two of you will soon be siblings.”
You wished she hadn’t said that. You had found him very charming and attractive the moment you saw him. How was this going to work out?
******************************************************
You secretly wished he wouldn’t pick up his phone. One bell, two, three.. you were about to hang up when he suddenly picked up.
“Hello!”
“Uh Hi,” you choked. “Umm I don’t think you remember me but I came over to your house with my mother a few days ago.”
“Ye, I remember.”
“So I was wondering if you wanted to hang out or something?” you asked.
“Hang out?” he repeated in form of a question.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to. I mean I totally understand what..” you bit your tongue.
“Where do you want to go,” he asked.
“Sun set park?” you asked.
“Okay I’ll be there,” he said and hung up.
**************************************************
You looked around for thirty minutes but there was no sign of Yixing. He stood you up. You weren’t surprised at all. His attitude was getting the best of him.
“Looking for someone?” he asked suddenly coming up behind you. You jumped around clenching your fist to calm your nerves.
“Did I scare you?” he asked stuffing his mouth with cotton candy. He seemed a lot better than last time. Something was clearly wrong with him.
“Did you get me some?” you asked.
“You can have this one,” he offered. You took some and shoved it in your mouth. The two of you began walking.
“So how’s everything?” you asked.
“Great,” he nodded. You didn’t know what else to say. You felt very awkward around him. You were going to give it another shot so you began to speak but he immediately cut you off.
“You don’t have to do this.”
“Do what?” you asked.
“This!” he said now turning to you. “Do you really think I wouldn’t know that my dad told you to do this?”
You felt embarrassed. You didn’t quite know how to answer his question so instead you looked at the ground.
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled.
“Don’t be.”
“No I’m sorry that she left you,” you said. You could feel him cringe a little but he recovered immediately. He didn’t utter a single word. You wanted to look at him but the situation wasn’t allowing you to do that.
“I’ve moved on,” he said but his voice chocked.
“You don’t have t lie to me,” you said. He settled on a bench and buried his face in his hands. “I loved her a lot,” he murmured after a while. You wanted to comfort him. In your heart, you felt extreme hatred for the girl who’d left him like this. He seemed to be so broken. You had this sudden urge to hug him and that’s exactly what you did.
“You’ll move on,” you whispered to him.
**************************************************************
Four months passed by in a breeze. Having lunch with Yixing became a routine for you now. You had no idea he worked in the office opposite yours. In fact you had started to love work once again. He seemed a lot happier to now. Sometimes when he felt generous, he would gift you with a faint smile. That’s all you needed. You just wanted him to be happy. A guy as charming as him deserved to be happy.
“Guess who?” someone asked placing their hands on your eyes.
“Are you really going to do this with me?” you said while giggling. He chuckled as he removed his hands and sat across from you.
“Are you coming to the party tonight?” he asked. You nodded.
“Great! I’ll introduce you to all of my friends.” You nodded once again staring at him. His sweet, honey like voice always melted in your eyes. The shine in his eyes, the faint smile on his lips and glowing skin always captivated you. Little did you know, what you were getting yourself into.
*********************************************
“Having fun?” he asked handing you a glass of juice.
“ Ye,” you said trying to avoid his eyes. “Uh, I need to go use the bathroom.” You immediately excused yourself. Earlier that day, after lunch you’d come to a realization that staying around Yixing was going to ruin your life. You had no idea when you’d fallen for him. You’d fallen hard because every time you saw him your heart ached. You knew you couldn’t ever be with him.
You were taken aback when you found him in the room as you got out of the bathroom.
“Why are you avoiding me?” he asked.
“Avoiding? What are you talking about?” you tried to bring out your playful side. Your eyes wandered from one corner of the room to the other nervously. The very next second Yixing grabbed your hand and pinned you to the wall. He connected his lips to yours. For a brief second you had no idea what was happening. You were kissing him back. You suddenly pushed him back.
“We can’t do this..” you said as tears began rolling out of your eyes.
You waited for him to say something but he didn’t. You couldn’t stay there any longer. It was time for you to leave.

So while I was writing this I realized that there was NO WAY POSSIBLE that I could write the whole scenario in one part. The plot is too sensitive therefore I couldn’t rush with it. I’ve taken the liberty to make a TWO PART scenario [I hope you don’t bash me for this anon] and to the other I hope you guys like this!
***submission by aww-sehunyoucutie. Guys this story is beautiful. It made me squeal. I hope you guys enjoy it too :) ***
Sighing, your eyes followed Chen as he sang and danced passionately, his sustaining voice resounding in a forceful vibrato that sent a chill down your spine. Holding your face up as you sat against the wall on the ground, you squirmed weirdly, trying to get rid of the strong frisson.
Looking back up to watch them continue the song practice, you spied Chen’s amused smile at your strange wriggling. You put on an overly fake shocked face and shrugged your shoulders in the most unglamorous way. Turning it into a smile with an energetic wave, you averted your gaze, trying to keep yourself from looking back and instead staring at the other members.
You sighed inaudibly again, hugging your knees, burying your face into them. You were physically tired from staying up late at night reading or just from the cold of the winter. You’d always gotten cold easily, and, as always, the nippy weather was never kind to you.
“______,” Chen called playfully whilst dancing, trying to regain your attention.
You ignored him. Despite your cheerful, weird, bright personality, you were also a sharp girl.
You were in love with Chen, and it hurt sometimes, obviously, you knew. Why Chen, you always thought, why? Chen, who’s never sincere. Who’s kind, but you were bound to be hurt when you realize he was kidding, that he doesn’t care about your feelings. It wasn’t all the time, but whenever you were just so perfectly happy, it was a joke.
And every time, every time, you tell yourself you’ll get even, that it won’t happen again. Still, then, the sad truth you manage to grasp is that it’ll be impossible. It never happens, it will never happen. Because he just doesn’t care about you enough.
Still, you just decided to ignore it and smile, because you wanted him to smile more than anything. And that was only something an idiot would say, but you gladly accepted it.
You’d been friends with Chen since he found you to tutor him in Chinese and English. It was your part time job just after high school, so of course, you took him. You were younger than him by a year, so he was always fine with letting you speak informally, loosely, because he wanted you to be yourself.
“_________!”
You turned your head slowly, shivering from the cold temperature of the room. You folded your knees over your hands, sandwiching your fingers in the backs of your knees, feeling icy coldness in the warmth of your legs.
“What?” you responded lazily, tired and cold.
He’d been whining your name over and over again while he danced, unprofessionalism he rarely ever showed. You felt a chill down your spine, this time from the low temperature in the room rather than from his voice. His eyes widened and he sprinted over to you in the middle of the song.
“________, are you cold?” he knelt down on one knee in front of you, gently taking one of your hands into his and cringing slightly from the cold.
His hands were hot, you were sure all of theirs were, but Chen’s made your hand burn with heat even more.
“It’s so cold,” you complained, holding his hand, secretly happy.
Abruptly, he stood and tossed you the black sweater he left on a seat in favor of dance practice. He held your hand one last time, warming it up before running back to his place, making his band members smile in amusement.
“Wear that and stay,” he shouted over the music, smiling his usual smile.
You were happy. Slowly, you threw it over your head, his sweater hanging loosely off your smaller frame. It didn’t matter how freezing you were, his sweater made you feel warm.
All of the band members knew he was mad in love with you, just as you were with him, urging him to make a move, but he’d always backed out at the last minute, making it a joke. This, of course, you didn’t know.
There was once, though, and you couldn’t help but keep the memory, when he did ask you out. He offered to treat you to bubble tea, but you were so confused, happy, not understanding. You’d asked him why. And at that, there was a pause, then he immediately laughed and replied, ‘just kidding, I can’t create scandals with just anybody.’ You were slightly hurt that you were ‘just anybody’, but you dismissed it with a smile and a nod, ‘I thought so’.
It hurt his ego as well, and, since then, the two of you were always trying, but never making your feelings meet. You became more conscious of his actions and words, and he tried harder, to make you feel something, anything, for him, unknowing you already did, more than enough.
Dance practice ended soon after, you still engrossed in the feeling of the dark article of clothing you wore. You stood up, encouraging everyone brightly. Everyone felt great, the energy in the room was high. Slowly, the six members dispersed, excepting Chen and Minseok, the four others went outside, they usually had takeout that you bring, down in a room a floor above where you were. Xiumin came over, seeing as he was also someone you helped with language, he was friendly with you.
“______!” He called, smiling adorably, as he was used to.
He held your hand, his eyes widening in surprise. He quickly enveloped both of them in his that were warm from practice, and blew warm breath over your fingertips.
“Wah,” he was surprised at the difference in temperature from your hands and his, “_____, I thought frost was my power.”
You laughed at his lame joke, as did he.
You shook your head, he was so cute, you couldn’t help but think. He still rubbed his thumbs over your fingers soothingly, trying to increase the circulation that ran through your hands.
Chen had a brief swig of water before he paused to burn holes into the back of Xiumin’s head. He was upset.
“Still so cold with a sweater on,” Xiumin commented, shaking his head in slight disbelief.
He grazed your fingertips with his lips as a sort of cute joke, and you yelped softly, breaking into laughter alongside the lovely older boy. Chen’s eyes widened and he stormed over angrily. Breaking the two of you up, he held your hand tightly.
“Hey, hyung,” he stood in front of you, expression stiff, staring at Xiumin, “Is anything wrong?”
Minseok clearly knew what the younger boy was implying and shook his head knowingly. He chuckled a bit, backing off with his hands in the air.
“Nothing, Jongdae, nothing,” and Jongdae feels slightly embarrassed at the older boy’s reaction.
Your hands are burning hot, or it felt that way where Chen touched you. Relunctantly, he sighs, turning toward you with newly found ire. Despite his expression, he still held your hands softly, in the sweetest way.
“And you,” he addressed you sternly, upset, clearly you could tell from his face, “Don’t think that just because you get cold easily, you can go and flirt with Minseok-hyung.”
His words struck you dumb. And you stood there, eyebrows slightly raised, confused. He shook his head, frustrated at your lack of response.
“You do it on purpose, don’t you? Let yourself get cold so you can act all cute for hyung?”
You finally managed to register what he said and you hardly understood. No, you did, but you were upset. You wanted to take off the sweater he gave you, because at that moment, you were engulfed in anger, that pounded through your limbs.
“You always spend extra time teaching him, too,” he scoffs, half laughing bitterly, ridiculing you, “Or you’re supposed to be teaching him. All you do is flirt. Of all of the stupid, childish things you could do. Do you really like him that mu-“
“Jongdae,” there are tears in your eyes as you spat out the poisonous words, staring straight into his eyes, “you are such a goddamn jerk.”
You didn’t want to cry.
You pulled your hands back sharply, hurt, so many times. It didn’t matter to you why he would even say that, but he always hurt you, and you were done with being hurt. You were done with acting like it didn’t faze you. It didn’t matter if you loved him, it wasn’t even worth it anymore.
The room is silent, except for the deep breaths he drew and your pained exhale.
“_______, I-“ he stopped, watching you slowly try to remove the clothing he told you to wear.
A jolt of alarm shot through him.
Quickly, he grabbed you, held you tightly. You protested, but lightly, because you’re too busy crying. Silent sobbing, you just wanted to go home. He grabbed onto you tighter, leaning into your body, burying you in his. One hand on the back of your head, pressing it deep into his open chest, one around your back, he embraced you.
“No,” he half whispered into your hearing, “Don’t take it off.”
You were upset and confused, you let out an almost inaudible whimper, trying to stop your tears, and Chen flinched upon hearing it. He tightened his grip.
“_____, I’m sorry,” he apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. _______, I love you.”
He can feel you slightly tense up, and it stirred more sadness in his heart. He almost wanted to laugh at himself, at how pitiful he was. Always hurting you, always, he could see sometimes, not every time, the sparkle from your eyes dull as you smile and force a laugh, waving him off.
“______, I love you, I love you, I love you,” he exhaled painfully, as if he could erase all the horrible memories, “I love you.”
And slowly, you relax. Just enough, to rest in his arms. You gave up. You were tired.
He lets you go, loosens his grip just a bit, so he can see your face. And he leans down. Arms on your shoulders, he bends down to eye level and moves in so close, you could hear the softest of his breaths.
Softly pressing his forehead to yours, he caught your gaze, and somehow, by some strange power, you couldn’t move away. Or, you didn’t want to.
“_______,” he whispered, you could feel it blow across your lips, “tell me, if you love me.”
You don’t know what to say, but all you think is ‘yes’. Still, his heart sunk at your silence.
“I’m,” he paused, thinking how pathetic he must be, “I’m going to kiss you now.”
And before you can shout ‘yes!’ that yes, you love him, his lips connected with your own. Slowly but surely, he pressed his soft lips against yours, and broke apart gently, making sure to look at your expression.
“Ni ai wo ma?” he asked in his best attempt at Mandarin if you love him, and you crack a smile, laughing softly at how horribly cheesy all of it was.
“Mn,” you made a sound of agreement, “Wo ai ni.”
He formed a sweet grin with his lips, and crashed his smile to yours, and you reciprocated.
Just then, the door creaked open. You peered around Chen to see who it was.
“Woah, damn,” came the surprised male voice, it was Tao.
Eyes wide, he raised his hands and backed away from the door, whispering a quick ‘sorry’ in response to the two of you in the room turning around to face him.
The door clicked closed. And there was silence.
You couldn’t help but laugh. A genuine laugh, and Chen laughed along with you.
Jongdae fixed his sweater on your shoulders, pulling it back from slipping off, and with one hand behind your back, brought you along to turn up the heat in the room.
And that, you thought, was and would always be the sweetest thing he could do on a cold winter’s day.
LOL. Okay. Fjskalfjaklfjlakfj. Love Chen. <3 Ohgod. Jfklsdkfjslfkjldjflksjlfasjd. The end was… … CHEESE. ALL CHEESE. QAQ Alright. Sorry about that… :D Okay, have fun~

You looked at the door and then your watch. Kris was supposed to meet you at the coffee shop an hour earlier. The waiter came up to you twice and even he was getting frustrated. There were more people waiting in the line to be seated.
“Ma’am do you want to order something?” he asked you for the third time.
“Huh! Aaa no I’m fine,” you said sounding completely lost.
“I’m afraid we are going to have to tell you to leave then. There are a lot of people waiting in line,” he said with an apologetic face.
“Oh,” you sighed in embarrassment. “Alright, I guess I’ll just leave then,” you mumbled while getting up. Just then Kris walked in. You were happy for a second but the feeling was quickly replaced by anger. Kris walked towards you timidly. He knew you were mad since you were glaring at him.
“I’m really sorry,” he said nervously.
“It’s alright,” you said trying to calm yourself and walked right past him.
“__________, wait” he followed you out of the coffee shop. “I’m really sorry,” he said catching up to you.
“I said, it’s alright!” you said sounding even more mad this time.
“Umma didn’t let me leave. Believe me I tried.” He said once again.
“It’s the same excuse every time isn’t it?” you suddenly snapped back. Kris tried to put his hands on your shoulder but you shrugged them off. “Why don’t you just tell them? Things will be so much better if they know.”
“You know if I tell them what’s going to happen. Why would you say such a thing?”
“Because I’m tired of this Kris. I really am!”
Instead of yelling back Kris tried to calm himself. Firstly because you guys were standing in the middle of the street, secondly because he knew that it was his fault for keeping you waiting for an hour and finally because he wanted to avoid the topic you’d just started.
“Okay, how do you want me to make it up to you?” he asked rather softly. Your anger melted too a little bit. You’d seen him after so long, you didn’t want to fight either.
“I don’t know,” you sighed but frustration was still visible on your face.
“I’m in the mood for some .. BUBBLE TEA,” Kris said trying to sound excited. He knew bubble tea always cheered you up. He was right. It did work. Your mood changed. He put his arm around and the two of you walked to your favorite shop.
*****************************************
Kris stared at you with a big smile on his face as you gulped your bubble tea.
“What?” you chuckled and hit him on his hand.
“Nothing,” he said shaking his head as if embarrassed of getting caught for staring at you. He couldn’t control his smile.
“Let’s go somewhere on your birthday this year!” he said suddenly.
“Where?” you asked.
“I don’t know. Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong. Where ever you want to go.”
“Really?” you asked excitedly.
“Ye,” he nodded.
“Hong Kong!—I want to hear you speak Canto,” you winked.
“Hong Kong it is then!” Kris announced. “But it’ll have to be a short trip. Starting next month, I’ll have a lot of schedules so we can’t spend a lot of time there.”
“What are you going to tell your parents?”
“Ahh, I’ll figure something out.”
“Alright,” you nodded.
*************************************************************
You couldn’t sleep. You felt your heart sink at the sound of the thunderstorm. Your instinct was telling you that something bad was about to happen. Shuffling restlessly in bed, you tried to calm yourself. You stayed in that state for two hours then sleep started taking over you. You clenched the sheet tightly and closed your eyes.
A half hour later, you felt someone slip in the bed besides you. You weren’t afraid because this wasn’t the first time Kris had done this. He usually came to visit late at night.
“I’m so glad you came,” you mumbled. He kissed you on your neck.
“Me too,” he murmured.
You felt something wet on your bare shoulder but you didn’t take enough notice. Then slowly, you heard Kris’s sniffles. The very next instant, you sat up.
“What’s wrong?” you asked trying to find his face in the dark. Kris didn’t respond. You turned on the side lamp so you could see what was wrong. Kris’s eyes were red and puffy. He hadn’t just started crying. It seemed like he’d been crying for a long time.
“What’s wrong oppa?” you asked once again. Kris didn’t respond but instead looked away.
“Oppa! Please tell me what’s wrong? You’re scaring me!” you squeezed his hand.
“Umma saw us together at the Bubble Tea shop the other day,” he said slowly. You felt like somebody had put a huge rock on your heart and crushed it. You knew his mother hated you. In fact his entire family hated you and your family. If your brother hadn’t run away with his sister, things would have been much better for the two of you. Kris was saying something but you couldn’t make sense of his words. Your teary eyes were fixed at his shaking body.
“____________,” he shook you.
“Ye,” you said shaking your head.
“Umma and Appa, were really mad. I’ve never seen them this mad.”
“Did you try to convince them?” you asked, without any hope.
He nodded. “I did, but they didn’t listen.”
You felt like your throat was getting dry. Your vision was blurred by the tears flowing down your cheeks. “So what does it mean?”
“I have to go __________,” Kris said trying to free his hand from your strong grip.
“No! oppa,” you whispered.
“I’m sorry __________,” he said getting up.
“You can’t do this. You know I can’t live without you.” you caught hold of his hand once again.
Kris kept shaking his head. “You know I love you ___________ and I always will but we can’t be together. I can’t go against their will.”
“We can convince them, together.”
“It’s not that simple!” he freed himself from you and began to leave. You could feel the world crashing as his hands slipped out of yours. Kris stopped by the door and came back to you. He kissed you on your lips. You knew it was going to be your last one. You could taste his salty tears and he, yours.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered pulling away. Before you could stop him, Kris left.
You collapsed on the ground and buried your face in your hands. The storm in your heart was much stronger than the howling wind outside.
**************************************************************
You passed your days staring into blank space. Your friends cried at your condition. They’d called Kris many times but he never picked up.
“_________ snap out of it,” your friend shook you. “It’s your birthday today. Let’s go out?”
**FLASHBACK**
‘Let’s go somewhere on your birthday this year!” he said suddenly.
“Where?” you asked.
“I don’t know. Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong. Where ever you want to go.”
“Really?” you asked excitedly.
“Ye,” he nodded.
A tear rolled down your cheek. You turned to your friend. “He promised me he would take me to Hong Kong on my birthday.”
“He’s not in your life anymore _________,” she said pulling you into a hug. You began crying. You cried a lot but it didn’t make you feel any better.
You wanted to give it one last try therefore you decided to go Kris’s house and beg his parents. You didn’t care about yourself respect. All you wanted was to be with him.
**********************************************************
You hesitated before knocking on the door. To your surprise, instead of one of Kris’s family members showing up, Luhan opened the door. You looked at him with questioning eyes.
“Where’s Kris?” you asked clearing your throat.
“____________, you shouldn’t be here.”
“I know but just let me talk to him once.”
“No I mean it. Kris is getting married soon. Go!” he said, sternly.
You had not seen that coming. “What?” you gasped.
Luhan nodded apologetically. “If his mother sees you here, God knows what will happen. So please go,” he insisted closing the door on you.
A few days ago, you felt like somebody had ripped your heart out of your body. You were wrong. What you felt today was incomparable to any pain you’d received in the 23 years of your life.
This was it. It really was.
**************************************************************
8 years later
You hated walking to work in the winters but you really didn’t have a choice. The little money you earned from the bubble tea shop you’d opened a few years ago was not enough for you to buy yourself a car. You fixed your glasses and wrapped your coat tightly around you.
“So how was last night?” your friend suddenly appeared from behind you and asked.
“Oh my God, you scared me,” you said holding your hand close to your chest.
“Ahaha, sorry.”
The two of you began walking again.
“Tell me,” she asked again, nudging your elbow.
“Ah, it was okay but he really isn’t my type. “ you wrinkled your nose.
She hit you on the shoulder. “This is why you won’t ever get a guy.”
“I’m absolutely fine with that,” you said with the fake smile that you’d been giving for the past eight years. The two of you reached the store. You unlocked the door and went inside.
“At least move near the city. It’s more lively there. Your business will be much better too.” She nagged you as usual. You sighed and listened to her with a smile on your face. This had been your morning routine ever since you’d opened the store.
“Hey’ I’m going to need you to do me a favor.” You asked her. She turned around and looked at you.
“We’re running out of tapioca. I couldn’t go last night because somebody had set me up on a blind date,” you said giving her a look. “So I want you to get them.”
“Okay but it’ll take me some time,” she said walking out the door.
It had been two hours and your friend hadn’t returned. You were regretting sending her. Nobody really came in the mornings. You were busy doing the math for the month’s budget when someone walked in.
“We don’t have tapioca so we won’t be able to serve bubble tea. Is there anything else you want?” you asked without looking up.
“Ummm, hot chocolate would be fine,” the person said. The voice was familiar. Very familiar. You instantly looked up. Kris was standing right before you looking at the menu on the wall. You turned around immediately to hide your face but more importantly to hide your tears. All those years that you’d kept them inside of you; they were coming out at his sudden appearance.
“Are you okay Ma’am?” Kris asked upon hearing your sniffles.
You covered your mouth and nodded.
“____________!” Kris whispered your name. He knew it was you. He remembered the fragrance you wore everyday and the way you cried softly.
You began to walk towards the kitchen but he held your hand and turned you around. You felt like everything around you had stopped for a second. You had wished for this moment for so long, that you didn’t think it was ever going to come true. Kris had teary eyes too. He kept repeating your name again and again and hugged you. You pulled away.
“Go home Kris,” you said angrily.
“__________ please listen to me.” He said holding your hand.
“No!” you shook your hand even though your heart said yes.
****************************************************
Your eyes moved from here to there. The cold wind kept hitting your face, making you want to cry even more.
“Why did you bring me here?” you asked keeping your eyes fixed on the ground.
Kris didn’t respond. You peeked at his face. He was looking at you with the same loving smile from years ago. You could never tell what was behind that smile. The smile suddenly disappeared and remorse took over. He swallowed a spit in his dry throat to get himself ready to speak.
“Where had you been all these years?”
“Does it matter anymore?” you asked after a while. You looked at him for a brief second and then looked away. You were ashamed of the wrinkles on your face and your eyes bags. You weren’t young anymore but he still looked young and fresh. You’d done this to yourself but you didn’t regret any moment of it.
“Married?” he asked.
You weren’t sure what to say. You knew well that Kris was married and he probably had a three year old child waiting at home for him. After a while, you shook your head. A smile broke on his face but you didn’t see it.
“Dated?” he asked again.
“Once for two months,” you said. Knowing the answer already you still asked him. “What about you?”
“Still single.” He replied after a long pause.
His answer had surprised you. You looked at him with your eyes wide open.
“But..” you began to say.
“Didn’t work out,” he complete for you, shaking his head. You felt like some sort of weight had been lifted from your heart. If you weren’t happy than neither was he. He was just as miserable as you. Who’s fault was it though? His parents? Who had ruined your life. Two people who loved each other so much were separated and neither of them were happy. There youth had faded. The time that they were suppose to spend with each other was lost now and it could never come back. Tears were coming back again but this time you controlled them.
“I have to go now.” you said fixing your glasses and getting up. Kris didn’t stop you. He had walked out of your life in the same way. His heart poked him repeatedly to call after you but his lips seemed to be locked.
**********************************************************
The next morning was surprisingly pleasant. Still struggling to forget the previous day’s events you walked to the store.
“Ahhh where are the keys,” you said in frustration, while shuffling your handbag. Your eyes fell on a small envelope by the door. You leaned down and picked it up. It wasn’t sealed. Two papers revealed as you opened it. It was a ticket and the other paper read a message – ‘I still owe you a trip to Hong Kong’.
A smile broke on your face. All the convincing that you’d done the night before, that what you did was right didn’t mean anything anymore. Your heart wanted to be with him. Without thinking twice, you began walking back home.
Two hands pulled you into an alley and the next instant your lips were connected to the very familiar soft lips. You could taste the salty tears except that this time they were tears of joy. You could feel him smiling. You were smiling too. It wasn’t his fault or your fault but if fate was giving you two another chance, you were going to grab it with both hands.

The weird feeling in your stomach was coming back again. You’d tried to control it for so long but as the time was nearing for you to walk up on the stage, it started coming back.
“You’ll be fine ________. You’ll be fine,” you told yourself repeatedly. You really wished Luhan was there to support you but his busy schedules always took up all his time.
“__________, you’re up!” One of your teachers told you from behind.
“Do I have to do this?” you asked.
“It’s your fault for being so smart,” she replied giving you a comforting smile. Yeah it really was your fault for being such a high achiever that you had to give a speech at your graduation. You felt like your heart pounding and sweat beads forming on your forehead. You had never been nervous in your life. Blinded by the bright light, you slowly walked up to the stage. You didn’t realize that you were holding your stomach tightly with one of your hands. It was only when the Dean gave you a strange look, that you quickly slid it to the side.
“Anneyonghaseyo,” you said, holding the podium tightly. You closed your eyes one last time and then opened them again. A familiar but hazy images appeared in front of your eyes. ‘Is that Luhan? No, no it can’t be. He’s too busy. Why would he come…. Oh wait no that really is him. He’s really here. Yayyyyy. Oh God, why is he waving at me?? Everybody is staring at him. Gosh Luhan stoppp’
“_______, ahem ahem,” the Dean said your name and cleared his throat. You shook your head and began once again. This time you felt more confident since Luhan was there and he was looking right at you. He gave you a thumbs up. You smiled briefly and resumed with your speech.
**********************************************
Luhan ran towards you and lifted you in the air. “That was a beautiful speech ________.”
“Put me down oppa, everybody is looking at us,” you said while laughing uncontrollably. He hugged you once your feet touched the ground.
“I’m so proud of you.”
“Gomawo.” you said, looking at him lovingly. “I didn’t think you were going to come.”
“Then why did you send the invitation?”
“Just in case..”
“Why wouldn’t I come? It’s the biggest day of your life. Well no not really. The biggest day of your life is yet to come, if you know what I mean and then..”
You connected your lips to his to stop him from rambling on and on.
***********************************************************
Your phone had been buzzing for the past 10 minutes. You finally decided to pick it up.
“Hello,” you said with a sleepy voice.
“Open the door.”
“Huh?”
“I’ve been standing outside for the past 10 minutes.”
“Oh God, Oppa seriously!” you exclaimed getting out of bed.
“It’s only 10 o clock and you’re a sleep already?” Luhan said walking in.
“Yeah I had a long day,” you said following him into the living room.
“What’d you do?”
“Job hunting,”
“Oh I’ve been there. It’s horrible.”
“No you haven’t. You didn’t even finish college and SM took you in,” you said hitting him on the shoulder.
“It’s the charms _____,” he said pulling you closer to him. He bit his lips and looked at you with his puppy dog eyes.
“Umm those don’t work on me,” you said playing with his hair. Luhan pulled you even closer to him and kissed you on your sweet spot.
“Aish, that tickles.” You giggled and tried to push him away. A smile spread on his face but he didn’t stop. You had to surrender. His soft hands worked their way under your shirt.
“__________, I want to tell you something,” Luhan said between short pauses.
“It’s Sehun isn’t it?” you said.
“What???” Luhan suddenly pulled away and chuckled. “You saw the Sina live chat too?” he asked while blushing.
“Obviously!” you laughed.
“This is so embarrassing.” He said scratching his head
“No it’s not. I think it’s pretty cute,” you winked at him.
“Aish!,” Luhan pouted.
“Okay so what is it that you want to tell me?”
Luhan shifted towards you and took your hand in his.
“Actually I want to ask you something!”
“Ahan,” you nodded.
Luhan pulled you closer to him. He had a very serious expression on his face. “________, we’ve been going out for three years now. You’ve graduated out of university too so I was thinking.. if… aaa,” he swallowed a spit. “ I was thinking .. I mean I want…to have .. a baby.”
“Huhhhh?” you exclaimed with your eyes wide open and jumped back. You calmed yourself immediately because as you thought about it, the question wasn’t that surprising after all.
“But oppa..” you trailed off. You’d spoken too soon. You needed some time to think. “Ummm I don’t know what to say,” you said looking away. Luhan was still holding your hand firmly.
“What do you mean?” he asked as if demanding an answer.
“I’m not sure oppa. Taking care of a child is a big responsibility.”
“You don’t think I’m ready for it?” he asked.
“No, no that’s not it,” you said turning around to face him. You placed your hand on his cheek.
“Then what is it?”
“We’re both too young.”
“So what? We should start early.”
You had to admit, his comment was funny. A smile broke on your face.
“I don’t think I’m ready yet.” You said.
“Why?”
You snapped your fingers as if you knew that the excuse you were going to make was going to win you the argument. “My figure,”
“What about it?”
“I don’t want to mess it right now!” you pouted.
“It doesn’t matter what you look like, I’ll still love you ________. It’s what’s on the inside that matters. I’m not that shallow and you know that too,” Luhan said squeezing your hand.
You were running out of excuses. You tired one last time. “I still have a career to start oppa.”
“You can still continue it.”
“Why don’t you understand oppa? I’m just not ready at the moment. I’m not in that state of mind yet and I certainly don’t want to rush things as if now. Please don’t push me.”
Luhan’s mood suddenly changed. You weren’t sure if it was because of your last statement or if he had just given up. He slid your hand off of his and got up. Disappointment showed clearly on his face.
“You know what _______, Just forget it.”
“Oppa!” you called after him but he’d left already. Everything happened so quick, you didn’t know what to do. You wanted to go after him but you changed your mind instantly since both of you needed some time to think.
*********************************************************
You knocked on the door for the third time before Lay opened the door. The eye bags from not sleeping the night before were clearly visible on your face.
“You alright?” he asked.
“Yeah I’m fine. Where’s Luhan?”
“In his room!”
“Oppa?” you said poking your head inside Luhan’s room.
He looked up at you and then looked away.
“Are you still mad?” you asked sitting next to him.
“What do you think?” he asked.
“I don’t want us to fight, please,” you insisted. “Can’t we just talk it out?”
“We did. Yesterday!”
You thought about what to say next since the situation was very sensitive. “I do want this to, just not at the moment. “
He furrowed his eyebrows to show his disapproval of your statement.
“What? So you’re just going to let me go if I don’t say yes?” you asked. As expected he didn’t say anything. You were a little frustrated too but you had to convince him somehow. Maybe not that day but sometime later. You got up to leave but Luhan held your hand.
“Of course not,” he said looking at you now. He took a deep breath and pulled you to sit down next to him. “I don’t want to force you into this. If we will do this, we should do it happily.” He still looked upset but he was trying.
A smile appeared on your face.
“Thank you,” you said and gave him a hug. He rubbed your back and rested his chin on your shoulder.
“Just don’t make me wait for long,” he whispered.
“I won’t, I promise.”

Lay looked tired when he got back home.
“Long day?” you asked.
“Aneyo,” he shook his head settling down on the couch, next to you.
“Go change first.”
“Just give me some food first,” he said sounding frustrated.
“Is something wrong?” you asked sensing the irritation in his voice.
“Nothing.”
“Are you sure?”
“Ye,”
You didn’t want to ask again and again and irritate him more therefore you got up to get dinner ready. If it was something important he would tell you when the time was right.
“Apppppaa,” your four year old came running out of the room and jumped on top of Lay.
“How was your day?” Lay chuckled and kissed him. Hyo showed a thumbs up.
“Good boy,” Lay played with his hair. “Now let’s go change before mommy gets mad.”
“Appa you have to chang, I don’t,” Hyo said while laughing.
“Aish, you got appa.”
****************************************
“Dinner’s readdddyyyyyy,” you announced from the kitchen.
“I’m coming,” Lay replied from the room.
Everybody finally settled down on the table.
“Hyo, honey how many times have I told you not to put your elbows on the table,” you said giving him one of your classic motherly glares.
“Mianhamnida,” he said biting his tongue.
“___________ah, there’s something I have to tell you,” Lay said without looking at you.
“Hmmm.”
“We might have to move to a different apartment.”
“What!!!!” you exclaimed. Your sudden reaction scared Hyo a little bit. You calmed yourself and asked again , in a lower tone this time.
“That one’s much bigger and better than the this one and it’s in the city too so we won’t have trouble with transport.”
“But..”
“Trust me it’s for the better,”
You looked at Hyo. He was busy playing with his food. You wanted to make sure he wasn’t paying attention to your conversation.
“It’s not for the better and you know that too Lay. Hyo just changed his school 2 months ago. We can’t be moving again.”
“The school that he’ll go to is much better than this one.”
“Well I don’t want to disturb him.”
“He won’t be disturbed.”
You took a deep breath and continued eating. You didn’t want to argue with him in front of Hyo.
************************************************
You hadn’t exchanged a single word with Lay ever since dinner finished. You tucked Hyo into bed and went back to your room. Lay watched you clean the mess that he’d created in the room. You were moving back and forth, frustration clearly visible on your face.
“Say something!” he said suddenly.
You looked at him and then looked away.
“I already signed the lease.”
“You what?” He had taken you by surprise once again.
“We don’t have a choice any more. We have to move by next month.”
“Why didn’t you tell me about this?” you asked.
Lay didn’t have an answer.
“Am I not a part of the decision making? Does my opinion not count at all?”
“It does,” he said getting up and walking towards you.
“This was a really big decision and you took it without me,” you said. You were really hurt. You couldn’t believe he’d made all the arrangements without consulting you.
“Why are you making such a big deal out of it?” Lay shouted.
“Oh so I’m the one making a big deal out of this?”
“Yes you are!” he emphasized.
You were dumbfounded. He’d never acted like this before.
“So you come home and tell me that we have to move in one month without even bothering to ask me if it’s okay? Do you not care about how this will impact Hyo and me?”
“I do, that’s why I made this decision.”
“That’s right! You made this decision. And as far as I remember we used to make decisions. What happened to that?”
“Stop making it seem like I did something wrong.”
“You did do something wrong,”
“_________ be quiet!”
“You know what… just… whatever,” you flung your hands in frustration and turned around. Your heart sank at the sight of Hyo standing by the door with tears rolling down his cheek. He wiped them and quickly ran into his room. Both you and Lay didn’t realize how loud you were. Hyo had heard everything. You ran after him. He’d hid in the corner and clenched his legs to his chest, hiding his face in his hands.
“Hyo are you alright?” you asked trying to pull his hands away from his face.
He shook his head.
“What’s wrong?” you asked.
He hugged you tightly. “Are you and daddy going to get a divorce just like Eunsol’s parents?”
His questions ran a shudder through your body. How could a mind as young as his think of something like this. You gasped since words failed to form.
“Why would you say that?” Lay said settling besides the two of you. Hyo pulled away from you and looked at his appa.
“Because you and umma are fighting,” he pouted. Lay wiped the tears from his soft cheeks.
“That doesn’t mean we will get a divorce. Appa loves Umma,” he said putting his arms around you and signaled you to smile. You did as he said. “And Appa loves Hyo too.”
He took Hyo from you and kissed him on the cheeks.
“It’s way past your bed time young man. Don’t you have school tomorrow?” Lay picked him and put him in his bed. You came up beside him and gave him a comforting smile.
“Sleep tight,” you said patting him on his chest. He gave you a reassuring smile that he was fine.
You didn’t know where your argument with Lay stood at the moment. You were still thinking about it while walking back to the room. Just as you were about to slide into bed he held you from behind.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. You turned around to face him. For some reason all your anger flushed out.
“I’ve realized that I was being selfish. I’ll go talk to them tomorrow and see if I can cancel the lease.”
You waited a bit before replying. You wanted to think about it.
“How about we go look at the apartment first?” you suggested.
A smile spread on his face. He leaned in and kissed you on your lips once, twice and then three times.
“Let’s never fight again?”
You nodded your head in agreement before connecting your lips with his, again.

“Were you out with him again?” Kris asked as you entered the apartment.
“Huh!” you jumped with surprise. “Aish, Oppa you scared me!”
“I asked you something.” He said with a stern voice.
“He has a name!” you sighed.
“Okay, were you out with Gonchin, again?” he asked you, trying hard not to lose his patience.
“Ye,” you replied settling besides him. “Why does it bother you so much?”
“I don’t like it when you’re around him,” he said straight up.
“Huhhh Oppa,” you pouted.
“I’m serious!”
You knew he was in no mood to have fun at the moment.
“Okay,” you said with a flat face.
Kris rolled his eyes and got up to change.
“Let’s go out for dinner.” He suggested.
“ Aaan, okay,” you replied unwillingly. He always did this. Got mad at you and then pretend like nothing was wrong.
**************************************************
“________ ah are you a sleep?” Kris asked shaking you.
“I’m trying to,” you replied. You felt him sliding closer to you. You could feel his soft breaths on your neck. It felt good. He gave you a peck on your cheek.
“Sorry for getting mad earlier,” he apologized. You turned around to face him.
“It’s okay,” you said. You couldn’t stay mad at him forever. He kissed you on your lips once, twice then three times before pulling the covers on top of both of you.
****************************************************
“Bye,” Gonchin hugged you before leaving. Just then Kris walked in.
“Hey Kris,” he greeted cheerfully.
“Hey,” he replied sounding like a sour ball.
“What was that?” you said making a face as Gonchin left.
“Nothing,” Kris made a brief reply before going to the bathroom.
“So are we doing something tonight?” you asked. You knew he was mad but you had to do something to change his mood. You only saw him on the weekends and so you wanted to make the most out of it.
“I don’t know. Whatever you want to do!” he replied with no emotion.
“How about the club?” you suggested. You were hoping the music and a few drinks were going to change his mood. Kris agreed and so the two of you went to the club.
******************************************
“Feeling better?” you asked him as Kris gulped down his second drink.
“Yeah!” he replied getting up.
“Where are you going?” you asked.
“To dance..” he replied walking towards the dance floor. You were surprised because he always took your hand and dragged you to dance with him.
Kris walked up to a girl who was wearing a rather provocative dress and offered his hand. You could tell how hard she was trying not to squeal as she accepted his offer. Kris brought her to the dance floor and began dancing. You knew he was trying to make you jealous but you weren’t going to fall for it. You pretended like it didn’t bother you at all. Kris turned around and looked at you. You gave him a thumbs up. Kris turned around and slid his hand on the girls bare legs, working his way up to her arms and then stopping them near her face. It made you a little uncomfortable but you tried to stay calm. Kris pulled the girl even closer and before you knew it, he leaned in kissed her on the neck. He didn’t stop after one and continued. You sprang out of your seat and lunged towards him. Grabbing his sleeve you turned him around.
“Oppa!” you cried in horror.
“What?” he replied carelessly.
You couldn’t take it and so you turned around to leave.
******************************************************
Kris caught your attention by slamming the door behind him as he entered the apartment. Instead of saying something to you, he went straight to the bathroom to change. It was as if he didn’t even see you sitting on the bed, glaring at him.
“So you’re not going to say anything?” you asked.
“Should I be?” he threw back a question without looking at you, pretending to fold his shirt.
You got out of the bed and walked up to him.
“You were kissing her oppa!” you reminded him.
“So?” he asked raising his eyebrows.
“If you want to be in a relationship with me then you shouldn’t be doing such stuff,” you said, sounding a little irritated at his behavior. Kris sighed and turned around.
“Answer me,” you pulled him. He turned around and shot a look at you.
“Well than you shouldn’t be hanging out with Gonchin either!” he yelled. You jumped back in surprise at his sudden reaction.
“What do you mean? I told you he’s just a friend.”
“Then consider that girl my friend too,” he made a face.
“You don’t kiss your friends on their necks.”
“Then you don’t hug them either.”
“It was just a hug. Why are you making such a big deal out of it?”
“You’re making a big deal out of it. I didn’t say anything until you brought it up,” he defended himself.
“Now you’re just being immature and ridiculous,” You scowled.
“I’m not the one being ridiculous,” he said taking a hold of your arms. You tried to pull away but he didn’t let go. You placed your arms on his shoulders so you could push yourself away but instead Kris pushed you back. You had barely kept yourself from falling when suddenly Kris’s palm touched your face with extreme force. It took you a few seconds to realize that he had slapped you. You looked at him with horror filled eyes. This was a side of him you’d never seen. He advanced towards you once again and grabbed you as if what he had done wasn’t enough. You whimpered.
“Oppa what are you doing?” you asked with a shaky voice.
He began to drag you towards the bed.
“No!” you screamed but he didn’t stop. You closed your eyes tightly. You didn’t want him to do this because you still loved him and if he did this you knew he was going to regret it. You couldn’t let him make this mistake.
“You’re a monster,” you blurted out pushing him. It wasn’t your push but your words that stopped him. He quickly pulled his hands away and buried his face in them. You didn’t know if he’d calmed down or not but you didn’t want to take any chances. You quickly got up and ran out of the room into the room next door.
************************************************
You opened your eyes to a puffy eyed Kris looking at you. He slid his hand on top of yours. You began to pull it away but he held them tightly pulling you towards him. He embraced you, resting his face on your shoulders. You felt something warm and wet on your shoulders. He was crying again.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered into your ear. You nodded your head in approval.
“Thanks for stopping me last night,” he said again. You pulled away and looked at him. He caressed your cheek. It still hurt a little.
“I am so sorry,” that’s all he could say. There were so many things he wanted to say but his tongue refused to speak.
“It’s okay,” you replied. You didn’t want him to say anything. You had known him for too long. You knew he loved you and you loved him. You just hoped that whatever had happened the night before never happened again.
“You can see Gonchin whenever you want too.”
“Shhhhhh,” you placed your finger on his lips. “Just don’t kiss another girl like that ever again okay?”
“I won’t, I promise.” He said, kissing you on your forehead.

I changed the plot a little bit since I already wrote something similar to this once!
I wrote this last night but I fell asleep as soon as I wrote the last line so I apologize if it seems a little off!
