Your Wish Is My Command

Cockroach Love - [Kris]

Beautiful story submitted by leenadya. Enjoy :)

You just joined your school’s bookstore club last month and you’re in charge of opening the bookstore on weekdays. The haunted-looking bookstore is really messy since the old members never clean the place up. You can find mice in every corner of the store but you’re not scared of them. You’re not scared of anything except cockroaches.
**********************************************************************************************
Your teacher just told you that a new kid is transferring to your school in a few days and he’s a member of his old school’s bookstore club. Since not much students want to enter the bookstore club, your teacher decided to let him join the club without any interviews or anything. “Finally, my slave is here!” You thought to yourself.
**********************************************************************************************
Three days later, most of your best friends were absent since they’re lazybums so you sat alone in class, then a tall guy entered the class. The teacher asked him to introduce himself “Hey everyone. I’m Kris. Just transferred here. Let’s get along!” he said. “Quite cute.” you mumbled to yourself. Kris sat beside you since that’s the only seat available. “Hey!” he greeted you, you turned to him and smiled. “I’m ______. You’re a member of the bookstore club right?” you asked, he nodded. “You’ll start next week.” you continued, he just nodded again. “Eh, but where’s the bookstore?” he asked, as you were trying to explain the bookstore’s location, he said “I guess you’ll have to give me a tour around school.” and smirked. You gave out a long sigh and said “Okay”. “Wow, he’s kinda friendly, looks like I’ll actually make a new friend in no time!” you thought to yourself.
**********************************************************************************************
You regretted a billion time for even thinking that he’ll be your friend. In the middle of the school tour, his real attitude was exposed. He’s such a bossy and selfish guy! He ‘commanded’ you to carry his bag, buy him drinks and the worst part you can’t even scold him since your teachers are all over the place watching you!
*********************************************************************************************
After the hell-like tour, you two went back to your empty class since school’s hour was already over. He said “Hey, go switch on the fan! It’s really hot!”. You ignored him completely, grabbed your books and left the room. You could hear him saying “Such an idiot!” while you were walking down the corridor. You held it in because you have a better plan to get back at him which is to make him clean the whole bookstore next week.
**********************************************************************************************
The week you’ve been waiting for is here! He was already at his seat when you enter the class. You sat at your seat which is next to him and said “Be at the bookstore at 2pm sharp” without even looking at him. You could see him glaring at you at the corner of your eye. You still don’t understand why he’s acting like such a brat towards someone innocent like you. The two of you didn’t talk during the whole school hours.
**********************************************************************************************
At 2pm the same day, you were on your way to the school’s bookstore when you see Kris wandering around a corridor. You just walked passed him when he said “Hey, I’m lost!”. You smirked and turned to him. “Idiot!” you said. His face turned red in anger and as he wanted to say something, you cut him off and said “Follow me, you dumbass! We’re already late!”. Surprisingly, he didn’t say anything and just followed you obediently. After reaching the bookstore, you unlocked the door, went in and said “Kris, lock the door back”. You could hear him slamming the door shut and locked it. You were walking towards the counter to open it when you realized that your teacher renewed the lock and you haven’t receive the new keys yet. As you were walking towards the door, the electricity got cut off. “Whaaaaa! Seriously? Does it have to be now?” you complained. You could hear Kris’s gasped as he grabbed your hand. “What a crybaby!” you said. As you were reaching out your hand towards the door knob, you remembered that it’s an electric-generated door so it won’t function without electricity. You let out a long sigh and put your hands in your pocket to take your phone, but unfortunately you left it in your bag in class. Kris’s phone was in class too. You two started to panic. Although it was in the afternoon, the bookstore didn’t have any windows so it was really dark. You felt like you’re with a kid since Kris wouldn’t stop clinging on you. You two settled down on a couch next to the door. You started scaring Kris by telling him about the mice in the store. You could feel his grip on your arm getting tighter. He whined about you being mean to him by telling him about the mice. You laughed and asked “Why are you so interested in being a bookstore club member anyways?”. “Being a bookstore club member isn’t just about selling books” he replied, he sounded pretty serious. He continued “The fact that the books that we sell gives its buyers knowledge that they will use all their lives makes me feel good. I feel like an angel giving out good deeds everywhere. My way of thinking is lame right?” he gave out a short laugh. You were pretty amazed by his reply. “That wasn’t lame at all. It was kind of impressive. You gave this job a whole new meaning.” you said. “And I want to apologize about yesterday. I’m not normally like that. I thought you were nice to me just because of my looks and obviously, I’m wrong. I’m sorry, really I am.” he said. You were taken aback by his ‘confession’. You laughed and said “Nahh, it’s okay. I can’t deny that I was really pissed off yesterday but I got over it”. Kris was still holding your arm and it made your heart beat faster. “What is happening? Why am I like this? Get a hold of yourself!” you thought to yourself. A few seconds later, the lights went on and the two of you jumped in joy. Then, you looked around and realized that there are cockroaches everywhere! You screamed and jumped on Kris, hugging his neck tight and wrapping your legs around his waist. He saw the cockroaches too, he screamed and ran out of the bookstore while carrying you. Kris finally stopped running at the end of a corridor. Kris was out of breath. The school was totally empty since it was already 4pm. You looked at him and laughed “You look really stupid right now!” you said. He looked right into your eyes. Your smile faded slowly. His scared expression faded too. You realized that his arms are wrapped tightly around your waist to support your weight and your heart started to beat faster again. He leaned closer and give you a peck on the lips. Your eyes widened as he look into your eyes. He smiled and leaned closer again, but this time it’s not just a peck. It’s a real kiss! You can’t help but to close your eyes. It felt like the time stopped. After a while, he finally let your lips go. He smiled and said “Now let’s go to class and take our bags”. After realizing that he’s still carrying you, you said “You can let me go now”. He replied “Nope. I’m never gonna let you go! We’re officially a couple now!”. You were really surprised by his words. You gave him a puzzled look and said “That wasn’t what I meant. I’m asking you to put me down.” He laughed and said “I know but I still won’t let you go, physically nor mentally.” You replied “Fine then. You can even carry me home!” you said with a naughty smile. He smiled and kissed your cheek. Both of you giggled the whole way to class. I guess you’re in love with the new kid!

New side of him- [Kris]

Requested by anon

You examined your slight baby bump in the mirror and frowned. Touching it felt funny and unreal. “It’s not going to go away no matter how you look at it,” You heard Kris say from behind. You quickly put the shirt back down in embarrassment. “When did you wake up?” you asked.

“Just now,” he said stretching and getting out of bed.

“I’m getting fat,” you mumbled.

“And beautiful,” he added cupping your face in his hands. “Don’t worry too much okay?”

You nodded back reassuringly. Kris smiled and walked into the bathroom. It was a good thing you were an actor in high school or Kris would have stayed worried all day. You rubbed your tummy and sighed. Five more months and you’d be pushing a baby out of it.

******************************************

Your ear phones had blocked all the noise from the outside world. You hummed along the song, swinging your body a little. Dinner was going to be extra special that day because your craving for meat had returned. Someone suddenly held you from behind. You smiled at the familiar fragrance and the touch of the soft, wrinkle free cotton shirt. You turned around and smiled. Kris took the ear phones out of your ears. Only he could look so fresh even after nine straight hours of work.

“You look happy,” you commented. He nodded with a rare and brief smile. “Come here! I got something for you,” he said pulling you towards the living room. He made sure to hold you from around the waist for support. It was a little too early for him to be so careful but he didn’t like taking chances.

“What is it?” you asked looking at huge bag resting on the table.

“You know how you always complain about your back hurting?”

“Yeah,” you nodded.

“Well! I got you a special cushion, made for soon to be moms,” he said taking it out of the bag. It was big indeed. Kris pushed it forward as if presenting an award. “Now your back wouldn’t hurt.”

“Oh Kris!” you said cheerfully. “You didn’t have to.”

“But I did,” he said and pulled you towards him. He leaned in and gave you a sweet long kiss. “There’s more,” he added. You looked at him and then the bag. It did look like something else was in there. Kris took out a box. You were sure it was a dress and you weren’t wrong when he opened it.

“Omo!” you gasped looking at the red silk in his hands.

“It’s beautiful but..,” you said

“It’ll fit you. I ordered it to be custom made two weeks ago. I want to assure you that you are still beautiful.” He let the dress flow and presented it to you. It was beautiful- definitely something that would make you feel sexy.

“Thank you,” you said in slight disbelief. You were not expecting him to do all this.

“I would take you out for dinner but you already prepared it so maybe we could go tomorrow?” he asked. You nodded, hugging him tightly.

“I love you okay?” you whispered.

“I love you too,” he replied.

**********************************************

Kris watched you eat. He knew something was up. You wanted something- something more. He moved his chair close to you so he could make sure. You looked up at him strangely. He was being weird.

“You want something else?” he asked.

“Aniya,” you replied. Your twinkling eyes clearly said the opposite. Kris suddenly got up. He picked up the empty dishes and threw them in the sink.

“I’ll wash them when we come back, right now we need to get you some ice cream,” he said carefully puling you up. You looked at him with an amused expression. How could he have possibly known you were craving ice cream.

“How’d you know?” you asked as he put a coat on you.

“The twinkle in your eyes and that face you make when you want ice cream. You did the same thing the first time we met, remember?” he said. You nodded shyly while Kris put a scarf around your neck. You wanted to ask more questions but you were liking this protective side of him. Something had changed him completely after that morning. He was finally starting to act like he was becoming a father.

***************************************************

“Did something happen this morning?” you asked Kris while the two of you walked back. He looked at you and a chuckle escaped him. Before you could say something, he used his napkin to wipe the ice cream off of your nose. He gave you a quick peck on your lips to wipe the remaining traces of ice cream.

“You still didn’t answer my question,” you asked, smiling brightly.

“I saw a couple at work,” he sighed deeply. “The guy was taking so much care of his pregnant wife he made me realize I wasn’t doing much.”

“That’s not true,” you said holding his hand.

“You’re too nice,” he replied. “I promise to be take care even more from now on.”

Kris stopped a taxi for the two of you so you wouldn’t have to walk too much. You were unsure about the responsibilities you and him would have after you became pregnant but Kris was doing a great job. You were only falling in love with him more every day.

The battle within [Luhan]

Requested by anon

You smile blandly thinking about how easily she had let the friendship between the two of you slip. No official statements or direct cutting remarks, just silences along with avoidance in eye contact were enough to say that she had chosen her over you. You told yourself it was your fault. You were the one who must have messed things up like all the other times. Why else would everyone hate you? Why else would every relationship you treasured just fall apart?

“No matter how hard life is, always look at the bright side of things, my love,” your mother used to say.

“I do mom,” you whispered to the silent, empty room as you lay in your bed. You truly missed her that day. A tear trickled down your face and fell on the pillow. ‘Oh I’m crying…’ you thought to yourself, forcing a smile on your face. “It’s not that hard _______. Things like these always happen.”  You tried to make yourself feel better but only your heart knew what it felt. It ached because you were lonely. It ached because you were hurt…

***************************************************

You knocked on the screen of your phone in annoyance. It was the third time since that morning it froze on you. The snow had come unannounced in the middle of April. It had started to pile up everywhere, making it hard for you to walk. You were already ten minutes late and your phone wouldn’t corporate with your situation either. You shoved it back into your coat pocket and increased your pace this time.

Your adjusted your rapid breathing upon reaching the door of SMENT. You had only opened it half way when you were pulled back viciously.

“Can’t you see me standing right behind you?” Luhan said angrily. Your head spun and you felt dizzy due to the sudden shaking of your body.

“I’m sorry,” was all you could say still trying to adjust yourself.

“Well next time, make sure you let me enter first,” he snarled.

“Yes Sir,” you nodded rapidly.

“____________!” you heard an angry voice from across the lobby. “Where have you been all morning?”

“Aaa.. I was trying to call..” you said taking out your phone and knocking on the screen once again.

“If you are not going to take this job seriously, I’m going to look for someone much better than. Do you get that?” the manager roared, pulling you with him. You had barely gained your senses and now this. You turned around to look at Luhan. He was looking at you. You wished he wasn’t. Because the condescending smile fixed on his face was doing nothing more than hurting you.

The manager handed you the plan for the next three weeks but what worried you was the party you had to organize for that night. 6 hours notice was not enough to get everything into place. You hurried out the building as soon as he released you. The clock was ticking faster than usual that day.

*******************************************************

“You got the cheapest flowers? Are you okay?” the manager yelled, taking you into a corner.

“There wasn’t enough money left,” you said timidly. He was ready to yell once again but something else caught his attention. You felt your blood flowing once again, when he let go off of your arm. You were about to move when the door behind you opened, pushing you forward. “Why were you standing right outside the men’s bathroom?” Luhan asked with annoyance. You looked up at his shiny silver hair and perfect features.

“Aaa.. the..” you blurted incoherent words.

“Look at yourself. Is this what someone wears to a party?” he questioned with harsh words. He began to walk away but something stopped him. As if what he had said wasn’t enough. He came near you stopping only inches away. He smiled looking at down at you. “I don’t like the way you look at me,” he whispered. The smile had disappeared. You could see hatred and disgust in his eyes. It didn’t surprise you at all. You had seen it before-many times. ‘Why?’ – you would always ask yourself  but no answer would come. Luhan’s eyes fell on your wrist. He twitched wanting to take a second look but you pulled your sleeve down. You were scared of making a move. If you tried to walk away he would be mad. If you stayed he would come up with something else to insult you with. The world would never be happy with you. Luhan eased your problem by walking away himself.

As much as you didn’t want to, you were required to hang around until the party ended. You took a look at your shabby clothes and then compared yourself to all the other pretty girls at the party. They looked beautiful. They all had boyfriends and they all had friends. You were lonely and broken and had no one to talk to. You glanced at Luhan from time to time. His fingers danced on a pretty girls shoulder as they moved to the sounds of the beat. It bothered you to see them together but you scolded your heart for even going down that lane. Having secret feelings for someone had cost you a lot in the past. Your heart didn’t understand though. It had begun to like Luhan since the day you saw him. You however kept telling yourself the lie that it was far from true.

*************************************************

That night you lay in bed, once again thinking about all the wrong things that life had done to you. Then you smiled, like always- telling yourself it wasn’t that bad. Things could be a lot worse. So what if you had no friends left and so what if your workplace wasn’t the best place to be it. You had to survive as long as you could. Life is such a beautiful gift, how could you just throw it away like that?

What you didn’t know was that, your heart had plans of its own- plans that would come unannounced…

******************************************************

You arrived at work extra early the next day, just to be on the safe side. Some of the Exo members were already there. You had never talked to any of them before. You didn’t ever make an effort to either, because you assumed they would treat you exactly the way Luhan treated you.

You placed all your files on the bench outside their practice room and sat down. You sleep deprived eyes began to shut as you rested your head against the wall.

You woke up to the sound of doors opening and closing. You panicked looking at your watch. Thirty minutes had passed in just a few seconds. Hurriedly, you grabbed everything and ran to the manager’s room.

Luhan walked out of the practice room. Something caught his eye. He stopped, turned around and looked at the small brown diary on the bench.

“What is this doing over here?” he talked to himself also staring the object in surprise. He picked it up and went back into the practice room. He wouldn’t allow anyone in the world to read his personal journal. Then it hit him. He had seen you sitting on the bench a while ago. Luhan ran in the direction of you room. He banged the door open looking at you furiously. You trembled at the sight before you.

“If you ever.. ever.. ever..” he advanced towards you like a lion coming out of his den. “touch my things again you have no idea what I’ll do to you.”

“What do you mean?” you asked in a shaky voice.

“Don’t play innocent on me you little rat..”

“LUHAN!” you yelled. You could never imagine him saying such a word. He was a lot of things but he was never go to such extent.

“Don’t yell at me!” he said. His lips quivered with anger. Both you and he heard someone’s footsteps coming towards your room. It was the manager.

“I don’t want her here in this building anymore,” Luhan said to manager sternly.

“What do you mean?” the manager asked seeing the two of you together.

“I just don’t want her here,” Luhan said, this time a little louder. You looked at the two men in horror, trying your best to stop the tears from gushing out of your eyes.

“________ I’ll figure this out later. Will you please leave right now?” the manager said patiently, making way for you to go. You looked at him and then at Luhan. His anger hadn’t subsided. He was still mad- very mad. The worst part about the whole situation was that you didn’t even know what your crime was.

Your eyes burnt as you blinked, giving your tears the best chance to fall out of your eyes. You wiped it quickly, and picked up all your belongings. It was time that you left- forever…

****************************************************

Luhan lay in his bed holding the journal. A lot had happened that day that needed to be added to his list of achievements. He stared at the unfamiliar hand writing on the first page. His heart sank and his pupils widened, as he flipped through the pages. It wasn’t his journal. He flipped back to the first page to see who it belonged to. His scrunched his nose as he saw your name scribbled on the first page.

“What have I done?” he whispered to himself. A long time passed and he still couldn’t register all that he had done. He picked up the journal once again and began flipping through the pages but this time much slowly, staring at the pages blankly. Then suddenly something caught his eyes. Words. Words that looked familiar.

‘He said that I looked at him weird. Now how can I compete with that when I don’t even know what it means? It’s not his fault for thinking me weird. I am different…’

He flipped to much earlier entries to make sense of what you may be talking about.

Aug 9th-

‘She doesn’t know I saved her from getting caught that night. I took the blame because I know she wouldn’t do such a thing. She is too innocent. How could she? And besides it’s just a onetime thing. I’ll get in next year. She deserved it more anyways.’

Sept 12th-

‘I see our friendship dying with everything but I feel like I am the only one who cares. She doesn’t and I know that but even in this I may be at fault. How can she ever be wrong? I am always the one to screw things up. She says she has found better friends and I am happy for her but it bothers me sometimes because I get lonely too. Don’t I deserve a nice friend too?’

Sept 13th

‘Mom, I miss you today. Why are you so far away? Why did you have to leave so early?’

Sept 25th-

‘Am I really this worthless that everybody pushes me around? I keep trying to look at the bright side of things but it’s all just a lie. I see happy couples around me all the time. It reminds me of him. I wish I had told him how I felt… He would have been nicer to me .. at least nicer than L****.

*************************************************************

You stared at the blood dripping from the light cut you had given yourself. A tear fell from your eyes, adding itself to the trail of red liquid trickling down your wrist.

“It has come to this,” you mumbled to yourself.

‘You don’t have to do this…’ –the voice from inside told you.

“It’s not like anyone would care.”

‘They care! You just don’t know it yet…’

“It doesn’t matter anymore,” you replied, proceeding with a second violent touch of the knife with your skin. You were going to finish the job tonight, hoping to not see the next day light.

********************************************************

Luhan skipped back to the most recent journal entry. It was longer than your usual ones. His heart was racing a little even when he was trying his best to calm himself.

Oct 1st-

‘For the first time today I let myself cry. I can’t take it anymore. It hurts too much. It hurts me to see him with other girls. He dances with them, he touches them in ways I can’t express. I don’t like him..or at least that’s what I tell my heart. But all these bottled up feelings have finally started to come out. He said that I looked at him weird. Now how can I compete with that when I don’t even know what it means? It’s not his fault for thinking me weird. I am stupid… I’m starting to become cynical. Things like these didn’t bother me. I used to smile. I used to laugh. Than what happened? Why am I always like this now? Why does it feel better when I… I’ve lost everybody I loved. My mother, my one and only friend..and now my heart is secretly falling for a man he seems me as nothing more but trash. Tell me.. am I so worthless? She never calls me back when I call her now. I want to tell someone how I feel but there’s no one. I don’t like the sun.. I don’t like the birds chirping, the flowers.. It breaks my heart to see them so happy when I smile to cover up my dry tears. I’ve pretended too long. I’m tired now.. Why can’t all of this be over already? Life is a gift but I don’t want it anymore…

“Oh no oh no! what have I done? How could I be so stupid?” Luhan panicked. His eyes fell on the calendar. It was Oct 2nd. Your last entry was from the night before…

********************************************************

Someone shook you with trembling hands. He then pressed his ears against your chest. “You’re going to be alright okay?” he kept humming as he picked you up and that’s when you completely lost consciousness.

.

.

.

.

 ********************************************************

“You’re going to be alright okay? You’re going to be alright okay?” your ears buzzed with the same phrase over and over and over. You closed your eyes as soon as you opened them. The light was too bright. It hurt your eyes.

You felt someone’s hand brush against yours. It was soft. His voice was even softer. “Open your eyes,” he was saying. You struggled for a long time but finally gathered enough courage to try once more. This time, the light was blocked by a familiar face over your head.

“Lu..han,” you whispered.

“Shhhh,” he said sitting beside you. He took your hand and ran his fingers on your bandaged wrist. You felt a tear drop on your hand. You knew it belonged to him but you didn’t dare look at him. What happened? How he came to save you? How did he know you were about to kill yourself? All these questions were revolving around in your head but you couldn’t ask him. You were mad at him for saving you but your heart was grateful. You hadn’t forgiven him but your heart had.

Luhan looked at you with loving eyes, wanting to ask you so many questions. Wanting to tell you that you wouldn’t have to be sad anymore. He was going to remain by your side, not out of pity but because he cared about you maybe even falling in love with you. But he knew his words would not fix anything. He had to show it and that’s all he was going to do from them on…

_______________________________________________________

Lots of mixed emotions running around in this scenario. I feel like those who have been in similar situations would be able to understand it more. People who are sad on the inside always cover up with a smile and keep denying that they are unhappy. They blame themselves for all the problems and sometimes even get annoyed at themselves for being so needy. [If you are one of those people please go out there and talk to anyone. Be it a stranger or not. If you suppress your feelings or keep them bottled up inside you, bad things can happen.]

The scenario is a little chunky and different from my usual scenarios because I’ve put lots of personal emotions into it. I apologize if I let you down with this or if this isn’t what you wanted anon but I also really hope that you like it. :)

His gaze [Kris]

Requested by anon

.

.

A shudder ran through your body when your hand touched his. You turned to look who it was. ‘Oh it’s him’- the tall dark haired guy who had just returned from China; that’s all you knew about him. When you first started working with Exo, for last minute additions to their upcoming album, Kris wasn’t there. You were a little more than surprised when you found out that he was a part of the group too and as a matter of fact, the leader of the Exo M. The first encounter with him was more uncomfortable than you had expected. Instead of greeting you politely, he presented himself with a strange expression planted on his face. He neither said a word, nor moved a single muscle in his body. All he did, was to stare at you, with such intensity that you started to feel insecure.

“Sorry,” he mumbled while stopping for less than a second. You rubbed your hand where your skin had made contact with his. You didn’t like the tingles it felt.

“You’re fine,” you replied to the empty room.  He had left faster than you could even utter the first letter of your phrase.

*************************************************

You stood outside the in the small balcony that opened to the front of the building. All the fan girls had left a long time ago. The area was empty and quite. The dark sky was slowly turning a lighter shade of violet. You heard the door slide behind you and someone entering the small space. You scoot to the side to let them stand next to you.

“Are you tired?” he asked. Your ears perked at the familiar voice but you didn’t dare move your head. You saw his side profile from the corner of your eyes. He was tall, much taller than you.

“No,” you replied in a barely audible voice. The air seemed to be getting heavier around you two. Both of stood in deep silence admiring the bluish streaks in the sky. It was so beautiful that you felt your hair raising. “Aren’t you tired?” you asked him.

You heard him chuckle a little as he turned to face you. You were unsure of what to do. It scared you to look at him. He was too intimidating and what your heart felt when he gazed at you was beyond describable. You stood firm in your position while he looked at you in awe. “I’m not tired…I’m just worried…a little,” he said.

“Worried?” you looked at him in surprise. The dark circles under his eyes over shadowed his bright but tired smile.

“When they said last minute changes, I had no idea they wanted me to sing a ballad,” he covered his eyes with his hands. Your tensed muscles began to relax. “Do I look like a ballad singer to you? I don’t understand why they’re making me do this?”

“That’s your worry?” you asked, trying your best to sound comforting. He nodded finally taking his hands off of his face. “You will be fine,” you smiled encouragingly but avoiding his eyes. “I’ll help you. Don’t worry about it okay?”  He nodded again but he was still unsure about everything.

 ********************************************

Three days later:

You stood in the studio waiting for Luhan, Chen and Kris to show up. In the few weeks you had been working with them, they had never been late. This was the first time. You assumed it would be because of Kris. He was really unsure about the whole situation.

“Sorry, we’re late,” Luhan said as he hurriedly entered the room. Kris and Chen followed close behind.

“What happened?” you asked.

“Kris hyung was having issues,” Chen said comically. You smiled at his attempt to lighten the mood.

“Alright, so let’s get started,” you said pushing the boys into the recoding room. Everybody took their positions and settled down. Music started, and the boys began singing.

After quite a few attempts Kris finally got his notes right. He looked over at you nervously, ashamed of his singing abilities. You smiled back calmly to tell him he was not doing bad at all.

“Let’s take five,” you announced, taking your headphones off and adjusting the buttons on the equipment. Chen and Luhan ran for the door as if getting released from the prison. Kris however stayed behind. You looked at him through the glass window. His head was bent down. You knew he was waiting for you to enter the recording room.

“Kris, go take a break,” you said from the door. He stood up and walked over to you.

“I have to tell you something,” he said.

“Hmm,” you asked raising your eyebrows questiongly. He lifted his hands, unsure to whether to hold your hands or put his on your shoulder. He did neither.

“I … I like you,” he said. The strange expression on your face turned into a smile. Your ears blushed a light pink and your heart raced a little faster than it normally did.  You were not surprised at all about his confession. In fact you were flattered. He was intimidating, no doubt about that but he was also gorgeous and perfect and amazing. Having a guy like him utter those words to you was unimaginable.

“A..are you sure?” you asked. You secretly cursed yourself for being so silly and asking such a stupid question. You felt him take a sigh of relief. He chuckled nervously at how adorably silly you sounded.

“I’m sure,” he replied. You looked up and into his eyes. You weren’t scared anymore, because they were twinkling this time.

He hoped you wouldn’t let go - [Lay]

‘Only she knew the pain of letting her body be embraced by the lips of a person she could never love…’

.

.

You sat in the corner of your room, tending to your latest wounds. They weren’t that deep this time and they didn’t hurt that much either. Surprisingly, he had spared your after pushing you against the night stand. Usually he wouldn’t stop. He would continue till his anger subsided.

A tinge of pain ran through your forehead. You reached for it with your trembling hands. Not a single twitch or change of expression came through. You stared at your reflection in the mirror with a poker face. If anything, you wanted to laugh at how much you had gotten used to it. You reached for the bottom drawer to take out your special makeup that you used to cover up the bruises. You were going to need a whole lot that day.

***************************************************

“Good morning,” you mumbled under your breath upon entering Exo’s practice room. They were busy practicing, so indulged in their performance that they didn’t even notice you come in. You patiently waited till they finished.

“Annyeonghaseyo,” Kris greeted bowing his head a little. He was still trying to catch his breath. The rest of the boys followed. You smiled at each one of them till your eyes met Lay’s. It hurt you to look at him but more than that, you were scared of his gaze. No one in the entire world but him could read your face. He knew the pain you went through every day. He knew how broken and weak you were from the inside and he knew that you very happily covered it with a fake smile on your lips.

“You guys need to get ready for tonight. Manager oppa said to finish practice and come downstairs,” you reported.

“Ah ye,” they replied with tired voices.

“I’ll be in the room next door if you guys need anything,” you announced before leaving.

*****************************************************

You had just gotten back into your cabinet sized room when you heard a faint knock on the door.

“Come on in,” you said. You didn’t care to look up since you were busy looking for some files.

“Hey,” you heard a familiar voice. Your head shot up right when he closed the door behind him. You looked at him and he at you and for a second you felt tongue tied. You didn’t bother telling him to leave because you had done that many times before. He never listened. He was too stubborn.

“What do you want?” you asked going back to looking for the lost item.

“What did he do this time?” he asked with a slight hint of anger in his voice. How could he possible know? -You asked yourself, touching the bruise on your forehead. You were sure you had covered it well.

“They need you downstairs. You should go,” you replied lamely.

“Don’t change the subject!” he grinded his teeth advancing towards you. The room was just the size for one person to barely fit in. With the two of you in there, there was very little space left to stand too far apart.

“I’m not changing the subject,” you said with a calm smile. You pretended to look at your watch to hide your nervousness and racing heart. “You’ll be late. Go!”

“I don’t care,” he held you close to him, his grip tightening by each second. You remained firm, making sure to not look him in the eyes. His fiery gaze only became more intense. You felt, if you stayed quite any longer, they might burn holes in your body.

“I don’t know how to say this nicely,” you finely began to say. “But this is my life Lay. You really don’t have a say in this.”

“I do,” he shook you aggressively.

“No you don’t,” you whispered back to calm his raging nerves. That’s the thing he hated about you. Even at your lowest, you never showed how you felt. Your eyes had never shed a single tear in front of him. You always had the same flat expressions which were a pure reflection of your numb feelings. It hurt him because he had never seen you smile. Every night before going to sleep he would wish that he had come in your life before ‘that s***** b******’ who made your life hell every day.  He wanted to hold you close to him; caress your pain inflicted body and tend your wounded heart. He wanted to make you feel beautiful. He wanted you to smile…

“You’re hurting me Lay,” you finally said, not being able to bear the pain any longer. He looked down to where he was holding you. His grip loosened instantly.

“I’m sorry,” he said leaning in even closer.

“It’s alright,” you replied pushing him back politely. “Now go downstairs. They must be waiting for you.”

You looked from here to there casually, still pretending to look for file which was obviously of no use. His eyes moved along with the movement of your body. If only, you looked straight into his eyes for once. You would know how much he loved you. Deep down you knew how he felt and that’s what you were scared of. You knew well of the nature of women. They seek refuge in the love that is provided to them. In his case, it was over flowing. He loved you too much but you couldn’t accept it. You were a married woman and such things didn’t suit your nature.

Once again with a disappointed face, Lay left the room.

*****************************************************

The music was too loud, the food was yucky and the room was boiling up. You paced back and forth in nervousness looking at your watch from time to time. You had begged the manager to let you go home early but instead he strictly instructed you to not leave his sight. You didn’t quite understand why he needed you around? It was a clearly a party for the boys for their recent success- you weren’t needed there at all.

“Worried about something?” you heard Lay say from behind you.

“Huh!” you jumped around clenching your heart.

“Ah… no.. Not at ..all,” you stuttered.

“Your face says the opposite,” he said in a monotone, showing that he was tired of your innocent lies. “Do you have to be home before a certain time?”

“Oh no no!” you pulled a nervous smile. “I can go home any time.”

Lay chuckled at your failed attempt to convince him. He leaned in closer, holding your hands gently. “You don’t have to lie to me __________.” His voice was tender and reassuring. “I know what you’re going through. If you would just let me help you…”

“I don’t need your help…”

“You do need my help!” he pulled you into an isolated corner and began once again. “Can’t you see? You do need my help. He doesn’t deserve you. He’s not worthy to be with you. I can free you from all the pain he gives you…”

“No!” you pushed him back. “I don’t need your help Lay. Do you understand what I’m saying?” For the first time ever you raised your voice in front of him. You were getting tired of him interfering in your life. Sure you went through a lot everyday but it was none of his business. “This is my life. He is my husband! He can do whatever to me and it should be the least of your concern.” You pushed him back. “Now let me go.” You struggled a little before he finally let you go.

You began to walk away but stopped at the corner. Your anger still hadn’t subsided. “It would be better for both of us if you stop this,” you said. Lay’s lips quivered in anger too. He wanted to hug you so you would calm down but you had made it pretty clear you didn’t want him anywhere around you.

“___________ah!” He called after you right when you stepped out of the room.

“Lay!” his manager called him from the other corner. “Where is __________ going?.. she left her phone here. Someone has been calling her for a long time.”

Lay looked at the phone and back at the manager. A shudder ran through his body thinking it might be your husband. He must be really mad at you was the first thought that crossed his mind.

“Where does she live?” Lay asked worriedly. The manager looked at him strange and took out his phone to find your address.

*******************************************************

You opened the front door hesitantly knowing that your husband would be inside. The hallway was dark which reassured you a little. That feeling went away rather quickly when the lights suddenly turned on.

“Where have you been?” he roared from the living room. You stumbled at his sudden appearance. He lunged towards you in anger. “Answer me.”

“I..was..at the party..for the company,” you quivered in fear.

“And you didn’t care to pick up your phone?”

“My..phone..!” you touched your bag. “Ahhh.. I think I lost it at the party.”

“You lost it?” he lost his temper completely. “I just got you a new one and you LOST IT AGAIN?”

Without a warning he slapped you across the face with great force causing you to fall on the ground. You didn’t even have time to get stable when he grabbed your arm to pull you up.

“Stop it!” you cried in pain. You could taste your own blood from the cut near your lip. “Please stop it. You’re hurting me.”

He clenched your wrist even tighter reopening the previous cuts. “I am so done with you,” he howled.

“Then let me go!” you yelled.

“How dare you?” his eyes widened at your bold attempt. His hand flew in the air again and within seconds you felt it against your skin which began to heat up. Tears flowed out of your eyes in pain.

“Let me go!” you cried once again. He raised his hand one more time but was interrupted by the door bell. He pushed you back on the floor and walked to the door.

A handsome young boy stood across trying to look inside the house as the door opened. “Is _______ here?” he asked.

“She is busy. What do you want?” your husband asked trying to keep his cool. He looked at Lay up and down scanning his appearance. It made Lay uncomfortable. He stood across the man he hated the most in this world.

“She left her phone at the party,” Lay said offering it to him.

“Okay thank you!” your husband replied taking it from him. Lay stood on his toes to try to see past the man but his strong built wouldn’t let him. Just when Lay turned to leave he realized something. Your husband had sweat beads on his forehead and his breathing was passive. Your sudden but meek sniffle confirmed his suspicion. Lay turned around furiously and stopped the door from closing.

“What are you doing?” the older man asked.

“Let me in,” Lay yelled.

“What do you think you’re doing,” he yelled back pushing him out the door. Lay’s eyes blazed with anger and sudden rush took him. He pushed with even more force, this time entering the house. Without wasting more time he ran towards the living room. You sat curled up in a corner, your head buried in your hands.

“__________!” he cried out. You looked up in surprise but before you could say anything your husband reached for Lay from behind.

“Watch out,” you warned. Lay turned around just in time to save himself from the attack.

“You coward!” Lay punched him in the face. “How dare you? How dare you raise your hand at her?” Thw two looked at each other in horror.

“Stop it Lay!” you yelled which only provoked him more. He didn’t stop. Your husband didn’t have time to react.

“You raise your hand at her one more time.. one more time and..” He couldn’t finish his statement. He was too furious to continue. The man on the ground finally got up and held Lay by the collar. “Who are you to interfere in our personal matter?” he punched Lay.

“Don’t hit him,” you tried to interfere but only got pushed back. The two men continued to fight. You had no choice but to call the police.

“STTTOOOPPPPP ITT!” you yelled. Both men turned to look at you. “I have the phone in my hand. I’m going to call the police.” you threatened. Your husband lunged towards you. Lay stopped him and held him by the collar.

“I’m giving you one chance… one chance to run away from here or…” he pushed him back. He stood firm for any attempt to attack. There were none. Your husband looked at you and then at Lay. He thought for a little bit before finally walking out the door.

The phone fell from your hands and you yourself stumbled. Two strong hands held you and picked you up. Lay carried you to the couch and let you sit on his lap. He cupped your face in his hands and then leaned in to kiss you. He kissed all your bruises one by one hoping to relieve you from the pain. He wiped your blood with his hands and then gave you a light peck. His tears mixed with yours. He couldn’t hold himself back. He could feel his heart hurt at your condition. You rested your head on his chest and closed your eyes. Your suffering had finally ended.

“I’m so tired Lay,” you whispered. He patted your head also running his hands through your hair.

“I love you ________,”he murmured long after. He looked at you lovingly. You had long fallen asleep clenching on to his shirt. He kissed you on your forehead hoping you would never push him away again.

Wahhhhh!! My first ‘oh so intense’ scenario. I hope you guys like it. Women’s day just passed so I thought this would be a good addition. I could go on and on and say a lot about how women should be respected but that’s not my intent here. I would say if you know anyone or are abused yourself, please speak up. Keeping it inside you won’t help and hoping that the other person will change one day is useless. Fight for your rights :)

They were afraid of loving… [Luhan]

Requested by anon Naiya

‘She was afraid of loving and more strangely, she was afraid of being loved in return. “What’s the point?” she would say. “It’s not like it will be eternal. One day they will leave. They will find out that I am not perfect… I am far from that…” Over the years she had completely secluded herself from the society. Her heart was safely caged inside a box cushioned by smooth linen stuffing. No one was allowed to touch it. No one needed to either. Nothing mattered because she knew she didn’t deserve anything. Why was she like this? Had she always been like this? Why did it always hurt her when someone asked her if she was okay?‘

.

.

You walked down the busy street, your head slightly bowed, your eyes fixed on the ground. Whispers, cries, gossips occasionally touched your ear but you let them subside. In only a matter of few seconds you would be far from all of this. Your feet began to move faster as the corner approached. You huddled through the crowd, pushing a few, in frustration. ‘Why do they leave their houses?’ you asked yourself, shaking your head  in annoyance.

There it was, right in front of you. Your safe haven, where you felt protected from the world. Only a few years back you had found that place, hidden behind the heavily laden trees. The park was less busy than usual. You swiftly tip toed to your spot, making sure to not catch anyone’s eyes. You bent down, trying to catch your breath when your vision caught something very wrong. Something or rather someone who wasn’t supposed to be there. You looked up- your eyes meeting his and for a second you felt captivated by the sadness they held. It was almost as if you could see your reflection in his personality without knowing one bit about him. Neither of you moved but stared, hoping the other would say something. No words were uttered. Your lips refused to part. Instead of getting mad at him for taking your spot, you let him stay. Why? You didn’t know. You turned around to leave when you heard him murmur. Your body was in an awkward position and so was your mind. You didn’t know if you should ask him what he had said or just quietly leave. You were still debating when you heard him again. This time he said it much louder. “You don’t have to leave.”

Very slowly you turned your head sideways hoping he would say something more. He didn’t. From the corner of your eyes you could tell that he had gone back to reading his book. He either didn’t care enough or he was too aloof to realize that he had unintentionally hurt you.  You were just as stubborn and possessive about your things. Without giving the idea a second thought, you trailed to your spot that had been very lamely taken by him. There was no sign of the slightest flinch from him. Both of you of sat stiffly under the shade reading your respective books.

************************************************************

Two weeks had passed and nothing had changed. It had almost become a ritual. Every day, he would be there five minutes before your arrival time. You didn’t say anything, neither did he bother. Both of you sat quietly. He was perfectly calm and so were you. It became almost movie like. Two strangers meeting like this. Never uttering words directed to each other. Just understanding what the other never said and then never bothering to ask. There was no need. You liked it just the way it was. You had started to get attached. It felt great to see him there every day. Two months? Three and then four passed by. But nothing changed. You were still quiet and so was he.

Then one day everything changed. Like usual, you casually walked to the place your locks dancing along, hitting your face occasionally. Everything was going to be perfect, except that he wasn’t there that day. You scanned the tree up and down and all around foolishly but there was no sign of him. Blinking repeatedly you stood in silence, with your cheeks puffed up. Your heart poked fun of you. You had started doing what you hated the most- caring for others when you knew the result was always going to be bad. They would never provide you the satisfaction you needed. You wanted to show yourself that you were stronger so you sat down, breathed heavily and began reading the book. The words that your eyes were eating were far from being absorbed by your brain. Your frustration level reached its height in a mere few seconds. You slammed your book sipping in the last drop of patience and got up. You couldn’t do it. He had to be there to make it right. He wasn’t- therefore everything was wrong.

A few more days passed and there was no sign of him. You felt betrayed and broken from the inside. You tried to tell yourself that it was no big deal. You didn’t know him or anything but what about your silly heart that kept poking you? You felt miserable. You didn’t want to go back to the place anymore but that little light of hope was still there. ‘He could come…one day…’ you would keep telling yourself.

*********************************************

Two weeks later:

You sat under the shade as light air brushed your hair and kissed your bare arm. You were reading your book but you were more focused on the sounds around you. Your ears tingled at the sound of someone’s footstep. Your head shot up towards the direction of the sound you’d been craving to here. And there he was- walking towards you like nothing had happened. Like he had all the right in the world to leave when he liked and come back when he wanted. Your eyes raged with anger looking at his calm, innocent face and pure twinkling eyes. As he got closer you realized that that tinkle was because of his teary eyes. He’d been crying or rather weeping…

You looked at him with questioning eyes as you clenched your shaking hands into a fist. He sat down beside you, took out his book and began to read. You couldn’t help but look at him from the corner of your eyes. All your anger had subsided.

“What is it?” you suddenly blurted out. He didn’t look up. It was the first time he’d heard your voice. His ears turned a light pink and he tried hard to act like he was involved in his book. But he couldn’t pretend any longer. You were still looking at him with your big dough eyes demanding an answer.

“That’s none of your business,” he replied.

“I want to help,” you replied. You couldn’t stand seeing him cry like that. You knew better. You had been through days like that. “Please! I know you’re hurting right now. But I can help. Trust me!”

“No one can help me,” he replied putting his book aside. You began to say something but he continued, unexpectedly. “No one will understand what I have been through. It’s just too… much.” He turned his body to face you, looking straight into your eyes. He leaned closer to you and whispered, “It haunts me every night.”

His last statement ran shudders through your body. You wanted to know what his secret was but you couldn’t form the right words to ask. You held his hand and gave it a slight squeeze. “I may be able to help,” you said. He shook his head, shifting to the other side. His hands slid out of yours. He rested his head against the tree trunk sighing heavily. The few words that were exchanged a few minutes back were replaced by the same heavy silence that existed between the two of you.

You heart wished he would trust you more but your mind told you it wouldn’t be right. You would begin to like him and who knows what will that turn into. Then one day he will realize that nothing is perfect and he will leave and you will be alone.

You shook your head out of your atrocious thoughts and went back to pretending to read.

The days after that passed the same way. He had started coming regularly but there was some change that you sensed. The silence between the two of you wasn’t the same beautiful one. It was cutting.

********************************************

“I want to take you somewhere,” he said. You looked up in surprise, fixing your glasses. Was he really talking to you after all that had happened a few days ago.  More than that, he was asking you such a thing when the two of you barely knew each other.

“Where?” you spit out while your heart kept telling you to do the opposite. Instead of answering you he grabbed your hand pulling you up.

“You won’t regret it,” he said as a smile embraced his lips. He looked happy that day. You smiled too and let him drag you.

The two of you entered the main quad in the park where all the life was. There were people everywhere. He jumped a little, waving his hands in the air as if introducing someone to you

“Look at this,” he said.

“Look at what?” you asked.

“This!,” he pointed to children playing, balloons flying, ice cream man yelling, birds chirping and the flowers dancing alone the wind’s light touch. He wanted to say more but just looking into your eyes made him stop. You were telling him you understood what he meant. It made you happy and it made him happy just a little more.

********************************************

He called himself Luhan. His name, his face, his everything made you smile. Just the thought of seeing him the next day made your heart flutter. He had started to open more.  He would tell you crazy things. How to do this and that, how to play around and get yourself out of trouble. You listened to his interesting rambles with such enthusiasm that he never wanted to stop. At other times he would talk about much serious things. What his dreams were. What he wanted to do in the near future. They always saddened you because it usually involved him moving away to S. Korea.

“Why?” you would ask.

“It’s my dream to become a star,” he would reply. Your expressions would darken and he would very soothingly run his fingers across your cheek trying to calm you.

He felt extremely awkward coming to your house the first time. He would say that back home he wasn’t allowed to do such things. You would giggle at his innocence. He made you feel things you thought you were incapable of feeling.

Just like one of those days he lay down his head resting on your lap. He had his eyes closed listening to music while you read your book. Something distracted you and so you began to look at him. He seemed calm but you felt like he was trying hard to suppress something.

“Everything alright?” you asked.

“Yeah,” he replied without opening his eyes.

“Luhannnn,” you said pushing him to get up and face you. “If there’s something troubling you then why don’t you say it?”

“Nothing’s troubling me,” he replied getting ready to lie back down.

“No!” you suddenly snapped. “Just tell me okay? I am tired of you hiding everything from me.”

“When have I ever hidden anything from you?” he asked with flustered eyebrows.

“Everything,” you said pushing your hands back in slight frustration. “What do I know about you? I know nothing and I want too but you keep hiding everything from me. I want to know what upsets you? Why you cry sometimes and then wipe your tears as soon as I look at you?… I want to help you but I feel like you don’t trust me. Are we even….” You stopped halfway. You had very often wanted to ask him where your relationship stood with him or if there was even anything between you and him. He never defined it but he also didn’t know that it bothered you a lot. Luhan slid a little bit more, getting ready to leave but you held him. “You can’t just leave like this.”

“You want to know why I’m like this?” he grabbed your arms and held you tightly.

“Yes I do,” you replied even louder.

“It’s because I was sexually harassed my entire childhood,” his words echoed in the hollow air. A gasp escaped your mouth while tears began to rush out of your eyes unannounced. You were in a state of shock, not blinking one bit.

“This is why I never wanted to tell you such things. It hurts me every time I think about it and honestly.. you’re not making it any better for me,” he said pushing you back.

“Luhan,” you whispered his name as he stomped out of the room. Before you could stop him, he was gone. You ran to the door but there was no sign of him. “Luhannnn,” you called out hoping he would return. There was no response. He was gone…

************************************************

Two days later:

You felt like someone was knocking on your door. But then again you had been feeling like that for the past 48 hours. He wasn’t going to come. He had made it pretty clear by not answering your text messages or calls.

“_____________! Please open the door,” you heard his voice from the opposite side of the door. The next second you lunged towards it opening it wide. He grabbed you violently and pulled you into a hug. “I’m sorry,” you heard him say as he planted a kiss on your neck. “I over reacted. Please forgive me. None of it is your fault.”

“No I’m sorry,” you said. You felt him shake his head, also wiping his tears on your shoulder.

Things went back to normal pretty quick after that. The usual movie nights or meeting at the quad resumed. He had started to smile again. You tried your best to not perk anything that would upset him. You wanted to hold on to him tightly and never let go. He’d been through so much in life and you thought you had it hard. He was different. He was special…

Little did you know that what was yet to come was going to bring everything you wished never happened to reality.

*************************************************

“_______________ah! Open the door,” you heard him yell one night. You rubbed your eyes to look at the clock. It was almost midnight. He never came this late. In fact he tried to leave before 10.

You opened the door to let him in. He was smiling. It wasn’t the usual kind of smile. This one was different because it seemed genuine. He was truly smiling that day. Whatever he had to tell you sure was special.

“I’m going to Korea,” he said without waiting for you to calm down. “I’ve finally decided what I want to do. I want to go there. I think I can do it ___________. I think I can.” Your stared at his face in horror. The words he was uttering sounded selfish. Was he only thinking about himself and not you? Did he even care. Why was he so happy? It made you jealous. You wanted to rip that smile off of his face.

“___________,” he snapped his fingers forcing you back to reality. “You wanted me to be happy right? I think this will make me happy. I think this is what I want to do.”

“But…” you said but stopped upon feeling a heavy lump in your throat.

“But what?” he said. And then there in that moment you knew there was no stopping him. You had no right to stop him and even if you did, you just couldn’t. He was happy. How could you steal that from him?

“Nothing,” you said forcing a smile on your face. He leaned to give you a sweet kiss on your cheeks. “Thanks for staying by my side this whole time,” he said. His hands slowly slid out of yours along with which you felt your whole world sliding out. Your heart mocked you for falling in the trap you never wanted to.

“Luhan,” you called after him.

“Ye,” he turned around.

“Keep in contact,” you said smiling weakly.

“Of course,” was the last word he uttered before he left.

****************************************************

One year later:

You slowly walked down the busy street dodging anyone who came an inch of a distance close to you.  You trailed through the lively part of the park and into your usual hiding, away from all the noise. You opened your book and sat down to read.

“Keep in contact,” you had said.

“Of course,” he had replied.

You heard those words echo in your mind once again. Before tears could come out of your eyes you shut them tightly. He had lied to you. He didn’t message you after the first two month. You didn’t know what had happened to him. All your research always led you to a dead end. There was no sign of him. Had he become a trainee? Was he still alive? Had he moved on?- You didn’t know anything. It had been almost a year and it was pretty clear that he had forgotten about you. Just when you had started to fall for him, he’d left you. Just when you had started to think that maybe, maybe you were wrong your whole life. Love did exist and being loved in return wasn’t that bad after all- he’d left. He had no idea what kind of damage he had done. You were there when he needed someone and now when you needed him he was so far away.

You had considered going after him many times but thinking you would only make a fool out of yourself you dropped the idea. It wasn’t worth it you would say but your heart would whisper that ‘it was.’

*Ring Ring…ring.. ring..*

You woke up in panic, trying to look for your phone in the dark. It was buried under the sheets somewhere. Your hands moved in all the directions. You finally gave up and turned on the lights. The phone stopped buzzing as soon as you picked it up. It was an unknown number. ‘Who would call at this hour…’ you thought. Just as you decided to go back to sleep the cell phone buzzed again. Hesitantly you picked it up. There was no voice from side aside from the light breathing. Your heart felt a strange tingle. You clenched your fist nervously.

“Guess who,” the voice said. Silence took over once again.

You didn’t know what else to do but smile. He’d come back…

It was love [Xiumin]

Requested by anon

A smile embraced your lips as the familiar fragrance touched your nose. Minseok walked passed you once again while walking back to his cubicle. You breathed a heavy sigh clenching your fist tightly. It was high time you apologized to him about the little episode you had created a few days ago. After months of praying and hoping, you had finally gotten a chance to talk to him informally and then you ruined it by getting him in trouble.

His twinkling eyes and gummy smile had shot an arrow through your heart on the first day of work. There was only one problem though- he rarely ever smiled after that day. Something changed in his life and every day after that you wished it hadn’t. He never smiled again. You made every effort to talk to him but it was almost impossible since you had to report to him directly. Every time he called you in for something important, all you did was stare at him while he rambled on about all the assignments you had to finish. The annoying voice in your heart kept bugging you till you finally gave up and walked to his cubicle.

“I didn’t ask for you,” he said without taking his eyes off the screen.

“I know,” you said instantly. “Opps!” you bit your tongue. “I mean, I know you didn’t. But I need to apologize for last week.”

“There’s no need for that,” he replied sternly.

“No, I .. just want you to know.. that it wasn’t intentional. I really did save the file you sent me but .. then I ..didn’t know..” you stopped realizing that he wasn’t paying attention to a single word you were saying. He was busy typing a report on his computer. You sighed hoping he would notice your presence but all to no avail. With a heavy heart you walked back to your desk. You were a very emotional person so seeing him behave harshly with you was breaking you from the inside. Had you not cared about him that much everything would have been fine but too bad, your heart was madly in love with him.

********************************************************

That night you decided to go to a club and drink to the point, your pain would go away. Deep down you knew it was impossible but desperate times called for desperate measures. And so you entered the club with a fake smile on your lips. You lunged for the bar, making yourself comfortable on the corner seat.

“One maderia please,” you ordered. After having your third one you rested your head against the counter. You thought you saw a familiar image but your eyes were too blurry to be sure. You closed your eyes and then opened them again still resting your head against the hard surface. It was Minseok, sitting three seats down just a little less drunk than you yourself were.

“Minseok sii,” you said his name under your breath. You began to walk towards him hesitantly. Love is a strange thing. It makes you do things you would never want to do. Not caring about your self-respect you tried to make an effort once again.

“Minseok sii,” you said his name again putting your hand on his shoulder. He looked up at you. Wrinkles formed on his forehead immediately.

“Call me Xiumin,” he said fixing his eyes on his glass again.

“Ah.. Mianhamnida Xiumin sii,” you corrected yourself. You took a deep breath and began once again. “Why can’t we be friends?”

“We are colleagues,” he replied firmly.

“But I want to be more than that,” you said sitting beside him. You were more drunk then you had thought you were therefore you had no idea what you were talking about. Xiumin ordered another drink still ignoring you.

“You don’t always have to be sad. Do you even know how beautiful your smile is?” you said. He turned to look at you after hearing your comment but he didn’t say anything. “The first time I saw you, I felt something in here,” you said pointing to your heart. “I don’t know what it is. But when you ignore me it hurts. I don’t know what’s bothering you but all I wish is for your pain to go away. I want you to be happy so I can be happy. I want to see that smile again. The smile that I saw 6 months ago… It was so beautiful that my ..” you stopped as a tear fell out of your eyes. You didn’t wipe it. More began to come out. Xiumin looked at you and wiped your tears. Your words had touched his heart. But he was a lot more hurt then you could imagine. He had lost the person he loved and there was no fixing it. He had had his 6th drink by the time you finished talking.

You looked at his hazy image. He was advancing towards you. Your heart began racing and then next minute his lips were pressed against yours. It felt more right than wrong. In fact it didn’t feel wrong at all. Everything was perfect about it even when you were far from in your right mind at the moment.

Time passed by quickly. You didn’t know when you and him got into a room. You didn’t care enough either as long as Xiumin was by your side embracing your body with his soft lips. The sound of music touched your ears making you more intoxicated. And there in that night your weak heart slipped- offering you completely to a man you loved a lot.

*********************************************************

When you woke up the next morning Xiumin wasn’t there but he had left his jacket on top of you. That was enough for you to think that he cared and the night before wasn’t a complete waste. A little part of you was regretting it but more than that you were happy that he was yours now.

You glanced at him from time to time at work that day but never got one back. You began to get nervous. He hadn’t looked at you all day. It was almost midday. People had started to leave for lunch. You got up too. Somebody put their hand on your shoulder to stop you.

“Want to have lunch together?” he asked. You didn’t even have to turn around to answer him. Your head shook in agreement unconsciously.

 *********************************************************

Your hands shook nervously as you sipped your coffee. You didn’t want to look into his eyes while all he did was to look at you. He was thinking of the right words to utter.

“_________,” he said placing his hand on top of yours. “I am really sorry about last night.”

“Waaa..” you looked up in surprise. He failed to read the expression on your face and continued. “I don’t know what happened to me. I guess I was just..I was just.. just forgive me for that. I really hope we can be friends. I am not mad at you anymore so please stop apologizing.”

You looked at him disbelievingly. You had thought he had accepted you but it was quite the opposite. He was apologizing to you thinking he had made a mistake. It was nothing more than a mistake to him. You fought back your tears. He squeezed your hands tightly looking for an answer.

“_________ can we be friends?” he asked again.

“Huh!..ah ye,” you nodded still shaken by his confession.

“Come on lets go back then,” he said. He grabbed your hand dragging your shuffled state out of the restaurant.

*******************************************************

Xiumin made all the effort to make you happy after that day. He took you to movies, couple special nights, expensive dinners and soccer games but he only problem was that he wasn’t doing that out of love. He was only doing it because he felt bad.

You wanted him to love you just the way you loved him but that was next to impossible. You wanted to ask him why but you were too hesitant. He was always so serious it intimidated you. Even when he was by your side you felt like he was somewhere far away. The irony of the situation was that both of you were broken hearted but both of you were trying your best to make each other happy.

“I am so glad you came tonight,” you said to him while washing the dishes. Everybody had left but Xiumin had agreed to stay behind and help you clean.

“You really don’t have to help with this,” you said.

“I know I don’t have to. I want to,” he said taking drying the plate with a piece of cloth. You smiled watching him clean them so diligently. Your hair was falling on your face. You used your foam laden hand to push them back without realizing that half of it was on your face. Xiumin looked up at you. He began to laugh hysterically at how comical you looked.

“What?” you asked half smiling half confused.

“Your face.” He pulled you closer to wipe the foam off of you. You pulled away feeling uncomfortable with the tingles his touch sent through your body.

“Ah.. I should leave,” he said. You nodded back in agreement.

*********************************************************

You sat curled up in the corner of your dark room crying your wits out. You had been two weeks past your cycle so you decided to do a pregnancy test. It came out to be positive. You were pregnant with his child. Your head hurt from crying so long. There was no way you could tell him. He would want you to abort the child. Or he would agree to take care of it but you didn’t want that until he did he willingly. After a lot of thinking you finally came to a decision. Up till now you had always thought immaturely but for the first time in your life you made a mature decision- to sacrifice your happiness for his.

**********************************************************

Five months later:

Walking was harder for you in your 6th month compared to any other pregnant woman. You never really paid attention to your health since you were too busy with your new job. It didn’t pay enough but you had to do all you could to save up enough for your child. It was hard in the beginning but you had convinced yourself that life is not always fair.

You stood in line at a small grocery store waiting for your turn. It was hot and your back had started to hurt.

“Excuse me ma’am could you let me cut I have somewhere important to be,” the man from behind you said.

“I’m sorry but my back hurts. I have to get back home as soon as possible,” you replied. He leaned a little forward and soon realized that you had a baby bump.

“Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were pregnant,” he said.

“Oh no! It’s alright,” you said turning around. Your jaw dropped seeing Xiumin standing right before your eyes. “Oh my!” you gasped taking a step back. He wouldn’t have been as surprised but seeing your worried face he sensed that something was suspicious.

“__________ I looked all over for you,” were the only words that could come out of his mouth at the moment. You pushed him aside and began to walk. “__________ are you hiding something from me?” he asked running after you.

“No!” you said. You waved for the taxi to stop. He got in right after you.

“Xiumin sii please leave,” you said keeping your calm.

“No I won’t,” he said holding firm.

***********************************************************

“_____________ I need answers,” he said while you unlocked your apartment door.

“Please leave,” you insisted once again.

“I won’t until you tell me,” he said suddenly pulling you and then holding you tightly. Your eyes started to blur from weakness and you fell into his arms.

When you woke up Xiumin was still sitting beside you. He had been watching over you the whole time. You looked away so you wouldn’t have to face his intense gaze. Neither of you said anything. The room was as silent as a graveyard.

“It’s my baby isn’t it,” he mumbled. You closed your eyes hoping he would take back the words he had said.

“Don’t worry about it,” you said getting out of bed. “I’m fine now so you can go.”

“You can’t just push me out. And why do you sound like it’s all my fault? In case you forgot you were the one who disappeared without giving any explanations. Had I not found you today I would have never known that you were carrying a part of me. How dare you _________? How dare..”

“I did it all for you!!” you yelled releasing your hand from his grip.

“What do you mean you did it for me? You ran away from me. Do you not understand that I care about you?”

“You don’t care about me. That’s the problem.”

“Who said I don’t?” he asked. “Who said I don’t care? __________ somewhere between those movie nights and those dinners and those.. after dinner walks I fell for you. I don’t know when for sure but I did.” He squeezed your hand. “You shouldn’t have left. You shouldn’t have.”

“I didn’t want to burden you,” you mumbled feeling tired once again.

“You would never be a burden on me. You made me smile again. How can I forget that?” he said. You remembered the night you last saw him. You remembered how hard he had laughed at your silliness. You were so preoccupied in your own feelings that you ignored his. You ignored all the signs.

“Look at yourself. You can’t even take care of yourself.” He pulled you into a hug and rubbed your back to comfort you. “___________ I want to be here with you. I wasn’t there for the first 6 months but now that I know I don’t ever want to leave you like this. Please don’t push me away,” he said.

You didn’t have any words to offer except your tears which slowly seeped through his shirt. He could feel them and it hurt him to see you like that. He knew it was his fault for never making you feel special. Both of you blamed yourself because neither of you wanted to hurt each other. If that wasn’t love than what was it?

_______________________________________________________________________

A little similar to the last one but I couldn’t do much about that since this is what the anons requested. I personally really like this one because I reflected a little part of my personality in this scenario. I hope you guys like it. I know Xiumin isn’t a lot of people’s bias but look past that and enjoy the story :)

Words weren’t needed [Xiumin]

Requested by anon

There was no point in looking at the clock again. You had done it enough times in the past 2 hours that now you could tell the time just by each tick. He’d said he was going to be there but your hope was fading away. You wanted to trust him, you really did but with all the recent happenings you didn’t know where your relationship with him stood. If he cared then why didn’t he show it? If he loved you then why didn’t he say it? You were equally guilty for never confronting him. There use to be times when you could say anything and everything to him. It hurt you that all of that was changing. What was more scary was that both of you knew everything was falling apart.

It all started the night he knocked on your apartment door half drunk. You didn’t ask questions. He didn’t bother explaining himself. Not the next day not even the day after. The silences grew but neither of you tried to mend the broken bond. Sometimes you just wanted to blurt it all out. Tell him how you really felt. Tell him how much he was hurting you. But on the other hand, you were scared he was going to run away and never look back. You loved him but the question was- Did he love you back?

There was a light tap on the door, not a knock but just a light tap announcing his arrival. You put on your fake smile, wiped the twinkling teas from your eyes and walked to the door.

“Hey,” he said upon seeing your face.

“Hi,” you replied swinging the door back and forth lightly.

“Are you ready?” he asked. A faint smile was plastered on his face.

“Ye.” You nodded.

“Let’s go,” he said already turning around. He was halfway to the stairs when he noticed that you hadn’t moved an inch. He turned around finding you looking into blank space, your hand hanging low and your eyes twinkling once again.

“__________ let’s go,” he said- this time with more emphasis.

“Ah ye,” you mumbled back loud enough for him to hear.

***********************************************************

“There’s a tornado warning for tonight,” he said taking a bite of his meal. You took a sigh of relief that he had made the first move to talk.

“Jinja!” you exclaimed under your breath. You might as well have not said it since your voice muffled into the noise of the other happy couples at the restaurant. Some were giggling while others blabbered. He looked up at you for a good minute scrutinizing your every move. How you gathered the food on your plate into one corner and then cut it into small pieces. How you stuck your fork into it and quickly put it in your mouth, munching on it with your mouth closed. Your eyes hadn’t left the plate since the minute, the food had been served. Before that, they had wandered to every corner of the restaurant except to the direction of his face. He wanted to ask you why you were acting like that. Why you had been acting like that for so long? He had started to wonder that you just didn’t care anymore and maybe deep down he didn’t either. It wasn’t the same like the first time he had met you. It was outside a small coffee shop on a rainy day. He didn’t have an umbrella and you very graciously offered yours. He rejected politely the first time but as the weather got worse and the clocked ticked faster than usual, he accepted it.

“Where do you have to go?” you asked him.

“Noraebang studios.. it’s aaa two blocks away,” he had replied.

“Oh that’s on my way,” you had said.

The next time you saw him was during lunch hours. He always sat at a corner table with a couple of friends cracking jokes, eating lunch and being silly. You were scared out of your wits the first time he caught you looking at him. After that it became quite normal. Both of you were quite surprised that you had been having lunch at the same place, same time for over 6 months and just then seeing each other.

The silence, awkward eye contacts finally came to an end when he walked up to your table and spontaneously asked you to dinner one night. “I’d love to,” you had replied trying your best to cover your bright red ears. And that was start of a beautiful new relationship. He introduced each other to your friends. Started going out every night. He used to come over, you used to stay at his place for the nights. Walks on the beaches, laying on the grass watching the stars, eating ice cream during snow and singing karaoke. In one of those moments you had fallen for him and he, for you.

And now seeing all that you two had built, falling apart had broken you from the inside. He felt the same way but just never had the right words to say. You had started to think he wouldn’t understand your worries. He had started to believe you had stopped loving him.

**********************************************************

The walk back home was more disturbing than the one to the restaurant. He tried to make small talk but you just didn’t have to heart to talk. He used to hold your hand and pull you into his arms while walking back but he was too hesitant to do that anymore.

“Are you going to go,” you asked entering the apartment.

“Ye.. I have work,” he replied picking up his bag. You heard his footsteps faint into the corridor but suddenly they stopped. It was as if he was waiting for you to say something. There in that moment you knew you had to tell him. You had to tell him that you couldn’t do it anymore. You heard him say your name as you ran into his arms and hugged him tightly. Tears gushed out of your eyes uninvited. He patted your head embracing you tightly.

“I can’t do this anymore…” you said without any hesitance.

“What,” he gasped- his grip loosening on you at the same time. You pulled back and looked straight into his eyes. It was the first time in almost 2 months. For a second you wanted to take back what you had said. Just looking into his eyes made you realize what a grave mistake you had made. He was looking at you the same way. Thinking what you were thinking. His lips parted giving your heart a slight boost that he was going to reject your proposal.

He didn’t..

How could he say something when he knew he didn’t mean it? It was true, he needed a break just like you did. He respected you. He couldn’t lie to you and so without saying a word, he slipped his hand out of yours. Your lips quivered and your hands shook .Your clenched your fist tightly to control your emotions, seeing him walk out of your life. Your eyes shut automatically as your ears heard the first sound of thunder. The weather outside was quiet like the condition of your heart at that time.

***************************************************

2 years later in New York:

You stood under the shed of a small shop which was just big enough to keep you dry from the heavy rain. You had mentally cursed yourself a few hundred times for being cheap and not buying an umbrella. Life in New York wasn’t easy. You had to work three different jobs just to manage yourself. Nevertheless you liked it. You liked the fact that no one knew you there. No one questioned your past or asked you about your future plans. What would you tell them anyways when you yourself were unsure of everything.

“Do you want an umbrella?” someone asked.

“No ..thanky..” your words fell apart when you realized that the voice was very familiar to your ears. It was the same voice you had been longing to hear. You looked up and there he was standing right before you with the same faint smile on his lips. You felt a heavy lump in your throat. Your energy began to drain away. He took a step towards you but some workers from the store began to unload. Unload in heavy rain. Who does that? You shook your head, trying to forget that you had seen his face. You turned around and began to walk in the rain wiping the tears out of your eyes.

Then suddenly, two hands grabbed you and the next second you were dragged into an isolated corner of the street. He cupped your face in his hands, pushing your wet hair aside.

“Don’t run away..” he said. That’s all he needed to say for you to stay. Nothing more nothing less. He didn’t have to tell you that he had spent two years looking for you or that he was stupid for walking away that night. You understood it all, just like you understood everything he never said when the two of you were in love. Both of you were stupid for letting go off each other and you had realized it. Letting go wasn’t the solution. Staying together and talking about it was. 2 years of your life and his, had been wasted. But now that the two you were together again, you could finally make up for it. He kissed you repeatedly as if his lips had been longing to touch yours. The moment was so beautiful in its self that your stomach felt the butterflies just like the first time when he had kissed you. Nothing else mattered. Neither the rain nor the whispers of passersby’s. As long as he was with you everything was going to be fine.

A day with Exo. [Chen] -Submission

Well, me and Chen would start off going to Dunkin Doughnuts where I would get my usual Chocolate Chip muffin and Orage Coolata. Then, we would go to the movies and watch Hansel and Gretle(the witch hunting one.) Then after the movie, Chen and I would go to Yogurt Tree for some frozen yogurt. Finally, we would end the day with a Just Dance 1-4 marathon. A perfect day!

Crazy couple [Xiumin]

Requested by anon

Sneaking into Exo M’s practice room was a no big deal for you anymore. You had been doing that for that past 6 months. Initially it was a little tough since the managers were always hanging around but after a while you found ways and excuses to just casually walk in. After all you worked there. They couldn’t do a whole lot to you. Everything was under control except when the day the company found out you and your boyfriend would be in big trouble. He often complained about this complicated situation but your cheerful personality always made him feel better.

Just like all the days, you tip toed to their practice room but kept it casual at the same time.

“Oh look who’s here! To casually say hi to us of course,” Luhan said winking at Xiumin.

“Stop it,” Xiumin said hitting him on the back of his head. The guys were packing their bags and getting ready to leave.

“What? You guys are leaving already?” you pouted.

“Relax,” Kris said. He walked up to you, holding his bag with his signature style. “Your baozi is practicing until late today,” he said and then messed up your hair.

“Ye, I was going to stay with him and practice but now that you’re here I can go home,” Luhan said also packing his bag.

“What?” Xiumin cried glaring at Luhan.

“Huh! You don’t want to be alone with me?” you mumbled to Xiumin lovingly. You held his arm to make him even more uncomfortable with in front of the guys.

“________ not in front of the guys,” he whispered to you but he dare not shrug his arm from your grip.

“Aish, stop being so scared,” you elbowed him. Luhan shook his head at the cute conversation you and Xiumin were having. He winked at Xiumin once again before walking out with the rest of the members.

“Why are you so scared of them?” you muttered as soon as the practice room door closed.

“Becaussssseee!” Xiumin replied with no intentions of finishing his sentence. You slid in front of him so he could hold you from the waist. “What will I ever do about you?” he remarked shaking his head.

“What you’ve always been doing,” you said and gave him a quick peck on the lips. “Now start practicing!!” you said clapping your hands and pushing him away from you. You walked up to where the music system was and played the song he was supposed to be practicing. Xiumin began dancing and you settled yourself in a corner to play some temple run 2 on your phone. He had challenged you to beat his score.

Your patience level was very low. You quickly got bored and moved to your next favorite activity –watching Xiumin while he practiced. That day was the first time you were seeing him dance alone. This gave you a chance to notice his every little move and every change of expression. He looked very serious than usual. Or maybe he was always like that and you were just then noticing it.

“Minseok,” you mouthed his name in amazement. You were sort of proud and amazed, looking at your handsome boyfriend practice diligently. He hadn’t taken his eyes off of the mirror in front of him for one second. He wanted to examine his every move and perfect it. You weren’t planning on taking your eyes off of him either. Slowly and gradually you began to realize how comical he looked, looking all serious. His lips a tightly closed, his eyes quivering a little, sweat beads forming on his forehead. The moments of his hand were very precise. If he got it wrong he shook his head and started again. From a girl friend’s point of view he looked quite sexy too. Nevertheless you burst into laughter. Xiumin’s attention diverted towards you for a quick second. He shook his head watching you curl up holding your stomach. He went back to practicing doing the same things as before. Perfect hip thrusts, precise hand movements and fiery expressions. Your laughing didn’t stop. It kept distracting Xiumin. You were wiping the tears out of your eye when you heard the music stop.

“Huh!” you looked up. Xiumin was walking towards you. He sat down, legs crossed, in front of you.

“What’s wrong?” he asked. He wasn’t angry but he wasn’t happy either. You didn’t know what he was thinking.

“Nothing,” you mumbled shaking your head.

“Well! Something’s up…” he trailed off.

“You know I always laugh like that. Just ignore me and go back to practice,” you pushed him lightly. Xiumin held your hand and pulled you towards him. He opened his legs and spread them to give wide so you could have more space.

“Minseok ah! What are you doing?” you asked. You were blushing at his sudden action. He shook his head pulling you even more closer.

“Someone will see us. We’ll get caught. Seriously!” you warned him but there was no stopping him. He gave you a quick peck on the lips just like you had done earlier and then immediately turned your side ways pinning you to the floor. You began to giggle once again but this time it was to cover up your heated face and red ears. He lifted his finger and ran it down your cheek.

“Why do you still blush! It’s been a long time we’ve been together ________!” he whispered. You looked away in embarrassment but he turned you to face him again.

“We’ll get in trouble,” you said once again.

“Shhhh!” you heard him say. He leaned in and kissed you. No pecks this time! A deep long kiss. So long that both you and him got completely lost in the moment. He pulled away to let you breathe. He was breathless too. You looked at him and he at you and then both of you began to laugh.

“I love you,” you said.

“I love you too,” he replied.

You were a crazy couple indeed…

Baozi Jr. ? [Xiumin]

Requested by anon

The sky seemed lighter than usual that night. You knew it was going to start snowing soon and then there was your boyfriend who had decided to walk back home after dinner. He came up with the craziest ideas at the craziest times.

“You know it’s going to start snowing soon right?” you remarked blowing warm breath on your hands.

“Ye,” he nodded. “Come here,” he pulled you and took your hands in his. “Better now?”

“Ahhh your hands are so warm,” you said and put your head on his shoulder. “But still! We should have taken a taxi.”

Xiumin chuckled at your immediate change in mood. He squeezed your hand and the shoved it into his pocket.

“Gomawo,” you mumbled to him. He looked up at the sky and then made a weird sound. It was a mixture of a gasp and a short cry.

“What?” you asked keeping your head relaxed on his shoulder.

“It really is about to snow. Look!,” he said showing you the snow flake he had caught.

“What?” you said looking at his hand. There was nothing there. The snowflake had melted before he could show it to you.

“Look up!,” he said stopping in the middle of the road. You looked up and indeed it really had started snowing.

“Oh my my,” you gasped. You held on to his hand tightly and the two of you began running. Neither of you wanted to get sick since Xiumin had schedules the following week and you had just barely recovered from a fever.

“Let’s just go to my dorm… your apartment is too far,” he said as the two of you continued to run. You had no choice but to comply.

************************************************

“Where are the members?” you asked after entering his cozy dorm.

“I don’t know. They should have been back by now,” he replied.

“Oooo,” you said in your sexy voice slowly leaning closer to him. “So this means we have some alone time.”

“_________!,” he said your name with a serious face. “Are you okay?”

“Waaaeeee!,” you cried. “Why do you always do that.” This time you hit his chest and made sure it would hurt.

“Aaaa,” he pretended to get hurt. You rolled your eyes and turned around but he held you and pulled you towards him.

“I want to say something,” he said. “Actually I’ve been meaning to say it for a while now.”

“O! Oo!,” you joked.

“I’m serious ________,” he replied once again with a serious expression. It wasn’t anything new to you. He always had a flat expression so you never knew when he was joking and when he was serious. You nodded to tell him that he had all of your attention.

“I was thinking… that..we should try ..you know!” He paused for a little bit trying to form the right words. “We should try…having a baby,” he said hesitantly. You looked at his cute little face and burst into laughter.

“Awwww you want a baozi jr.? Who can be just as cute and bubbly and chubby as you?” you couldn’t stop giggling how cutely Xiumin had said that. You wanted to hug him kiss and pull his puffy cheeks. Wiping the tears out of your eyes you looked at him. Your heart sank finding a very grave expression on his face.

“What’s wrong?” you said pulling on his sleeve. Xiumin shrugged your hand away and walked inside his room. Xiumin was usually really good with handling jokes so you didn’t understand why he had reacted like that. One thing you knew for sure was that he was mad at you and you hated that. It was really hard to apologize to him. You always had to put in a lot of effort.

“Oppa!,” you said poking your head inside the room. You wanted to get a sense of how mad he was. “Are you mad at me?” you asked. You bit your tongue upon asking such a stupid question.

“Don’t talk to me,” he said. His back was facing you. You walked up to him and kneeled down forcing him to look at you.

“So you won’t look at me now?” you asked. He shook his head to the other side. “Are you mad because I joked about you being chubby?” He didn’t respond or bother to look at you.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. You know it’s not true right?” you asked.

“Just forget it _________.” He got up and walked to the other side of the room making it very obvious that he didn’t want to talk to you. You mentally cursed yourself a little. You knew very well that he was a little sensitive about such things but you and your blabber mouth that you could never control had messed things up once again. In all that chaos you had completely over looked his request. He had asked you something very important. Something that you yourself had wanted for so long.

You smiled watching him stand, facing his back to you. He looked cute whenever he was mad or maybe it was just the way you saw him.

“Xiumin  oppa,” you called out walking up to him. He had folded his arms firmly which intimidated you a little at first. You forced his arms open and then rested your head on his chest.

“I’m sorry. I’ll never do it again,” you whispered. You waited for him to say something but he didn’t utter a single word. You had started to lose hope. Just as you were about to pull away, he held you and pressed you against him.

“It’s okay,” you heard him say. He was smiling when you pulled away from him. A wild idea crossed your mind “Now where were we?” you said unbuttoning his shirt.

“You’re still up for that?” he asked as a faint smile embraced his lips.

“Ye,” you said. Just then you could feel yourself blushing. Xiumin leaned in and gave you a sweet peck on your cheeks before pulling you towards the bed.

Free me from the pain [Luhan] - Part 2

Part 1 for those who didn’t get to read it. Let me know if you guys liked the ending.

Present Day:

The man came and sat across from you. You could feel his gaze upon you but you didn’t care enough to look up. There was only one thing on your mind –had the letter reached him?  Luhan had promised to stay by your side than why was he so far away from you? Why hadn’t he shown up? As the clock ticked you began to get more and more nervous. Whenever anxiety took over you, you closed your eyes to think about something pleasant. That day you did the same. Resting your back against the wooden bench you closed your eyes and tried to picture his face for that was the only thing that brought you comfort.

3 years ago:

It was your eighteenth birthday and just like all the other times your parents decided to have a grand party inviting everyone you didn’t knew. It was just another excuse for them to show off their wealth and find suitable suitors for you. You sat in a corner with your cheeks puffed up eyeing everyone. Your parents had been kind enough to let you invite some of your friends but even they were busy having fun. Nobody cared about the party girl.

“Why are you hiding in the corner? Come enjoy the party..” Youngshin said approaching you. You rolled your eyes at the sight of him. Out of all the guys, he was the least you wanted to talk to. He had tried asking you out several times but you always denied politely. Somehow he never gave up and kept hope alive. The reason you didn’t like him was because of his cockiness. He failed to acknowledged other people around him and that’s one thing you hated the most. Besides you were already half in love with another guy who had no idea how you felt.

“I’m fine here. You should go have fun,” you said.

“Oh here goes the music,” he said as soon as someone started playing slow music in the background. Many couples ran to the dance floor instantly. “Care to dance with me?” he asked. You shook your head without bothering to look at him.

“___________ please,” he said making a puppy dog face. You wanted to tell him that it only made him look more stupid but you knew he wouldn’t understand. To prevent any further persuasion and his cheesy statements, you took his hand and proceeded to the dance floor.

“Did I tell you that you look beautiful today?” he said trying to remove the strands of hair from your face. You shook your head in annoyance, pushing his hand away from you. The rest of the night dragged just like that. Your eyes were looking for one person and one person only but there was no way he could show up. He wasn’t allowed to according to your father’s orders.

.

You returned to your room after the party. It was almost midnight. Your special day was ending and you hadn’t smiled all day. Just then, you heard a light knock on the door. Your heart jumped and so did you, right out of the bed and towards the door.

“Luhan!” you cried as soon as you opened the door.

“Shhhhh!” he said putting his slender fingers on your lips. “Don’t be too loud. I don’t want to get caught.” You chuckled at his precautions and then dragged him to the bed with you.

“So did you get me something?” you asked.

“Of course,” he replied and then opened his fist to reveal a small box that had been very neatly wrapped. “Here, open it.”

You took it from him and carefully unwrapped and then opened the box. “Oh Lulu,” you gasped at the sight of a beautiful pendent. “It’s beautiful,” you said and pulled him into a hug.

“It’s nothing big. I didn’t have enough mone…”

“Shhhh,” you cut him. “Don’t say that.” You heard him chuckle which made you want to hug him tighter. And then there in that moment you let yourself loose. You didn’t want t let go off of him. You wanted him to understand your feelings for him without you having to utter a single word. Luhan began to pull away. You had no choice but to do the same. Your eyes met his, his soft breath touched your face sending tingles down your body. The brain and heart began to battle once again.

“Lu..” you began to say but the next moment you felt his lips pressed against yours. It took your brain a while to register what was happening and then your heart smiled back at you- teasing you in sort of a way that it had been right the whole time. Luhan did feel the same way about you after all and that is all what your heart had been telling you.

Then suddenly, before you could even savor the moment, he pulled away. He smacked his forehead as if cursing himself for doing something wrong. “I’m sorry,” he said, standing his back facing you.

“What do you mean you’re sorry?” you asked pulling him to turn around. He looked at you strangely. There wrinkles on both yours and his forehead. He cupped your face in his hands and ran his fingers on your forehead trying to calm you down.

“I feel the same way about you,” you whispered.

“It’s wrong,” he said. He turned around once again, shaking his head continuously. “I shouldn’t have done that. How could I be so stupid?”

For some reason instead his words began to hurt you. You had waited for that moment so long and when it finally happened he was regretting it. “Stop it Lulu,” you said in your crying voice. “Don’t do this to me.”

He turned around with a worried expression hearing your voice. He pulled you into a hug and slowly patted your back.

“Do you have any idea how long I have waited for this? And you go on saying its wrong? Do you not love me the same way I love you?” your voice muffled into his shirt.

“I do! I do,” he repeated, still patting your back.

“Please don’t go anywhere,” you said.

“I won’t! I won’t,” he replied kissing you on your temple.

The guy who sat opposite had fallen asleep. You lifted your hand to caress the cheek Youngshin had slapped you on a few days back. The bruise hurt but it was also a reminder of freedom you had received that day. You cared more about the latter. Your eyes fell on the clock. It was almost 2 o clock. The trains were going to start working at 5 o clock again. There wasn’t much time left. If he didn’t come that day, you were going to leave and never come back. You were going to start a new life, leaving everything behind just like Luhan had decided to do on the day of your wedding.

************************************

1 year ago (from present)

You sat facing the mirror, in your wedding dress looking blankly into space. Your life was soon going to be over. Your eyes had shed enough tears in the past few weeks that even they refused to form anymore. Every time your eyes met his, he returned your expressionless face with a smile. You knew he was putting up an act just so you wouldn’t think about him. You would forget about him and move on with your life. But how could you forget the three beautiful years you had spent with him. In fact how could you forget your entire childhood you had spent with him. Did the relationship you guys had meant nothing to him? The times he snuck into your room so the two of you could spend some time together. The time he first kissed you telling you he loved you and all the kisses after. The time you fell asleep in his lap and he didn’t dare move even if it meant risking himself getting caught the next morning. And out of all, the times you and him vowed to never leave each other. How did all of it just suddenly meant nothing to him? How could he act like that knowing it would hurt you so much.

The door clicked open and in came him except that this time he was here to notify to be ready. You were going to be called anytime.

“Luhan wait,” you called before he could close the door.

“I have a lot of other arrangements to look at,” he said hurriedly almost chocking on his words. You got up and began to walk towards him. “If everything doesn’t happen accordingly you know your father will be mad,” he said. You stopped very close to him and shut the door angrily. “_________, I really have to go,” he said shaking his head to avoid your eyes. He himself was teary eyed.

“Shhhhhhhh,” you murmured and lay your head on his chest. To your surprise, he embraced you.

“I’m sorry,” you heard him mumble and then after that both you and him began to cry. You cried for a long time tightly hugging each other.

He pulled away, wiped your tears and then before you could make any efforts to stop him, he left.

.

You felt nothing, heard nothing, spoke nothing after that day. Your pride had slapped you right in the face and so you entered Youngshin’s house as his bride. Life couldn’t have done you more injustice. You tried to convince yourself that it wouldn’t be as bad since he loved you. It doesn’t matter if you don’t love him but turned out that you were living in a delusion the whole time.

Youngshin was more cocky than you thought he was. He married you for the status and money. Just like you, his family had forced him into the marriage. Now both of you were stuck with each other except that he hated you a lot more than you hated him. “Do you really think I would treat you nicely after all you did to me? I stopped liking you after the first time you rejected me but my parents kept pushing me into it,” he said to you one night when you questioned him about his strange behavior.

“What do you mean?” you asked.

“I mean that I knew all about your little love story with that servant boy,” he scowled angrily.

“He’s not a servant,” you suddenly yelled back.

“How dare you?” he yelled back lunging towards you. “How dare you shout at me?” he said dragging you on the floor.

“Leave me,” you struggled which backfired because he shoved you on the floor.

“You can’t treat me like this. I am your wife,” you cried.

“You are worth nothing to me,” he said with a disgusted face. “And don’t you dare talk to me in that tone again.

.

After that night, things only got worse. The beatings became harsher and the words more cutting. He accused you of things you had never done before. You had tried to forget your past but he kept bringing it up and presenting it to you like an open tale. You had promised Luhan you would forget about him but as the days passed you thought more and more of him.

Then one day Youngshin crossed all limits and picked up a knife while he was half drunk. You screamed and yelled for helping but his grip was strong on you. Somehow you escaped and locked yourself in the room. After the night passed Youngshin had come back to his senses a little but he had made one decision for sure. He was going to set you free. He said it so bluntly that for a second you couldn’t believe it. You weren’t sure if you were more happy than sad. If he hadn’t let you go that day you would have run away anyways. The only problem was that you were on your own. No house, no clothes no food except for some cash in your pocket. The last thing you wanted was for your parents to find out and come to get you. You wrote a letter to Luhan telling him all that had happened. You knew he would come running after you but a little part of you doubted that. Luhan was very firm with the decisions he made. You knew he would make you go back and fix everything with your husband but if the selfish side of him won he wouldn’t do that to you. Everything was a mess.

*******************************************

Time had flown by. You breathed a heavy sigh and looked at the clock hesitantly. It was 4:15. You felt betrayed. You felt stupid. And yet the candle of hope was still lit brightly in your heart. Luhan would do anything but leave you waiting like this.

The clock kept ticking, making your heartbeat faster with every minute as it passed. You clenched your fist tightly and closed your eyes reminiscing your beautiful story with him from start to the finish. You playing in the snow with him. He stealing your ice cream all the time. You sneaking food for him. Him staying by your side whenever you were sick. You crying when he annoyed you and him apologizing sweetly. If he came that day, all of that would come back to you. Your unfinished story would be complete but… time was flying by and there was no sign of him.

People began rushing into the station. Many had even made queues for the arriving train. You didn’t move an inch. The clock ticked 5 and people began to huddle towards the entrance where the train would stop. With a heavy heart you walked towards the crowd. He wasn’t going to come after all….

___________________________________________________________

Luhan lay in the middle of the street surrounded by a huge crowd. No one knew who hit him or where the car went. Some were shouting while others were calling an ambulance. He coughed out some blood which made the children scream. He shifted to his side, holding up the letter which was partially covered in blood. In that moment he made a promise to himself that if he lived that day, he was going to find you and free you from your pain…

Original? forget that [Chen]

Requested by anon

It was like any other Friday night in Exo M’s dorm. The boys couldn’t go out since they were preparing for a comeback and with their new hairstyles, they had to keep a low profile. You lay comfortably in Chen’s bed and scrolled through tumblr tags. It was not long ago you found out about this interesting website where fan girls posted scenarios and lots of other strange things that you didn’t quite understand. At first you were a little freaked out about the stories but later you began to enjoy them. It was surprising to you that many got the members’ personalities just right. Scenarios about Chen always made you laugh hysterically because he was nothing like that in real life. Last time you and him did something fun together was never. He either never had time or was always tired. Sometimes you felt sad on the inside because you really did want him to show that he cared about you.

“Are you going to stay here tonight?” Chen asked entering the room. You looked at the clock. It was almost midnight.

“Oh wow! I lost track of time,” you replied. You began to get out of bed but instead he came and seated himself beside you.

“What were you doing?” he asked taking the tablet from you.

“Oh nothing,” you pulled it back. Chen looked at you weird. You smiled and pushed him back slightly.

“I’ll leave in a bit. I’m hungry right now so I’ll go make myself something,” you said.

“Okay then make me something too,” he asked as you left the room.

************************************************************

You got busy in the kitchen making sandwiches and ramen. Tao came and offered to help but last time he cooked, it was a complete disaster. You by any means did not want to go down that lane again. After finishing making the food and offering it to all the other members, you casually walked back to the room. Chen was laying awkwardly in bed, his back facing you.

“I made ramen and sandwiches,” you announced.

“That’s a weird combination,” he said turning around. As he did, you saw the tablet in his hand. Your heart sank immediately. You tried to remember if you had exited out of all the tabs.

Chen got out of bed and picked up a sandwich from your plate. “Let’s go out somewhere,” he said taking a big bite of the sandwich.

“Out? At this time? It’s really late and besides you guys aren’t even allowed to do that,” you said shaking your head while squinting your eyes. You looked quite comical. Chen bit his lip and then gave you a quick peck on the cheek.

“Don’t worry about it,” he whispered. He took the plate from you and placed it on the night stand. “Let’s go.”

You didn’t say a single word and let him drag you out of the dorm. It was because you were still in a shock upon receiving the unexpected kiss.

************************************************

“Nothing’s going to be open at this time you know,” you said while the two of you walked on a narrow unknown street.

“I know a place that it. You’ll like it,” he said.

The two of you stopped in front of a small bubble tea shop. The lights inside were so dim, you couldn’t even tell if the store was open. Chen walked inside hand in hand with you.

“Jongdae ah,” the old lady said happily. “You haven’t come here in a long time.”

“I know that’s why I came tonight. And look who I brought along,” he said pushing you forward. “You wanted to see her right?” he asked the old lady.

“Ahh she is pretty. Prettier than you’ve described her to be,” the lady winked at you. You had no idea what was going on but the fact that Chen had mentioned you to this old lady made you blush. He wasn’t so unromantic after all. The old lady came forward and pulled your cheeks.

“Does he take care of you?” she asked. You nodded your head and then looked at Chen. He had a proud smile planted on his face.

“So,” she said and clapped her hands. “What can I get for you two today?”

“The usual,” he said. “And she will take the same.”

“Oh you!,” she hit him. “Let her choose for herself.”

You giggled at your boyfriend getting spanked. “No it’s okay. I’ll take what he is taking.”

“Seeeee!” Chen cried rubbing his arm while you couldn’t contain your laugh.

After getting your bubble tea the two of you settled in a small corner. In your 1 year relationship it was probably the third time the two of you were spending time like that – all by yourselves. Usually it was with all the members and the other times Chen was too lazy to come up with good places to hang out at.

“So now can I ask you why you did all this?” you asked. “You’ve got to say, it was pretty surprising coming from you.”

“What?” he opened his eyes wide. “We usually do this don’t we?”

“No oppa. We don’t,” you pouted.

“I was kidding,” he said and held your hand. “And I’m sorry.”

“For what?” you asked.

“For being so aloof.”

You wanted to say something in return and try to make him feel better but you realized you had nothing to say. It was a good thing he was apologizing.

*******************************************************

The two of you said your goodbyes to the kind old lady and began walking home. The unanswered question from earlier was still bothering you though.

“You didn’t answer my question,” you said.

“What question?” he asked.

“Why all of this all of a…,” you stopped half way through and realized something. It had just then hit you that whatever Chen did was the exact same thing the Chen from the scenario you were reading, did for his girlfriend. “O oh,” you covered your mouth in embarrassment. “Did you?…”

“Yep,” he said nodding his head with a mischievous smile.  “I didn’t know you were so naughty.”

“Aish,” you hit him lightly.”I am so embarrassed. Why did you do that?” you cried. You had never felt more stupid in your entire life. What must he be thinking of you?

Instead of mocking you like he always did, Chen held your hand and then pulled you into a hug. He then lifted his other hand to remove the strands of your hair from your face. He was doing exactly what was in the scenario. He cupped your cheeks and then planted a beautiful kiss on your lips. You could feel him smiling. You were smiling too.

“I’ll try to be more original next time,” he said when he pulled away. All you could do was to return it with an approving smile. Chen held your hand tightly as the two of you walked back home in the soothing silence of the night. Nothing needed to be said anymore.

___________________________________________________________________

So instead of making this scenario about a troll Chen I wrote it about a romantic Chen and yes I did drift away from the topic a little bit but it didn’t come out that bad now did it? I hope ya’ll like it. It’s short and sweet.
