Hey guys! So this is two days late. It took me a while to calm myself down after my sweet sweet encounter with -Oh Sehun. This past Thursday I was planning on visiting the Entertainment Companies here in South Korea. I decided it would be a good time to go since Exo will be leaving for China on Friday (Which I think they did and probably already had their concert there today). Anyways, so with the help of directions that I found online my friend and I got off at the specific station. We thought it would be all easy to find the building but NOOOO!! [The first two were easy to find - JYP and Cube but FNC and SM Ent. took forever]. So on my way I came across this EXO billboard (DO NOT TRY TO STEAL EDIT MY WATERMARK):

After this we got lost for an hour and then finally we found Wifi in Seven eleven and looked up the directions again. (BTW in Korea no one knows where SM Ent. so asking for directions doesn’t help)
On our way we also found M.Net Studio

Here is FNC Entertainment:

There is a park across the SM Ent. building so her and I went and just sat down. I could see some people dancing on the first floor since the windows were translucent but of course it could be anyone. I mainly went for EXO (haha) So I waited and waited for three hours knowing for sure that I would be disappointed. At 11:05 I suggested that we should go and wait in front of the building for the last 25 minutes. By this time many girls had left and some had gone to the back side of the building (most of them were chinese).
In between the waiting time I had gone up to the building many times because people were walking in and out of the building so it was like a false alarm each time.
Anyways.. so it was around 11:22 when I see three girls walking besides a tall, skinny guy and taking pictures of him coming to the front of the building from the backside. It was dark so I couldnt see who it was until the person came into the light. I FLIPPED OUT WHEN I REALIZED IT WAS “OH FRICKIN’ SEHUN” I said one line to my friend, “It’s Sehunniiiee” and after that I didn’t talk at all. (The guard doesn’t let you take pictures but with all the fangirls around he couldnt do much) And I must say these rumors about EXO fans are FALSE. NONE OF THE GIRLS SCREAMED> They were all calm talking in hushed tones and taking pictures. No one dared to touch him. Everyone kept there distance which was around 4 ft. I was I think 5 ft away from him. He was talking to someone on the phone. My hands automatically started taking pictures (all thanks to iPhones and easy picture taking features). I have over twenty in my phone but I won’t upload all of them. Sehuniiee went up to the guard. He told him to open the front door of the building. He made sure not to face us- the fangirls. Then the guard walked with him inside the building. He is VERY TALL and VERY PALE and VERY SKINNY (but not the type who doesn’t eat. I think he eats a lot of junk food but is just naturally skinny). And not to exaggerate or anything all of his features are perfect. His skin is very smooth. I wanted to cover my face with a paper bag after looking a his smooth milky skin. This whole thing was 30 seconds but I THINK THESE ARE ENOUGH FOR ME. The money I spent on this trip has paid off because I wasn’t expecting to see MY BIAS stand this close to me.
This is pretty much it. Enjoy the pictures while I go back to fangirling over those 30 seconds over and over again (haha):

Hey guys,
I’m on a study abroad trip to South Korea for a month. It’s been four days so far and I’ve already fallen in love with the place. The people here are very nice and helpful but YOU CAN’T GET AROUND ANYWHERE IN THIS CITY IF YOU DON’T KNOW KOREAN. It is tough for people who don’t know any Korean. Fortunately I am minoring in Korean so I can have a basic conversation with the Koreans here. It’s fun because our conversations our more comical than helpful but I am improving by the day. The students at Hanyang University are just as nice and helpful. I would encourage you guys to participate in this too. If any of you need more details about this feel free to message me.
On an side note.. I will be visiting the SM Entertainment building tonight. It’s not that far from where I am residing. Hopefully if I am lucky I get to see oppas but if not that’s okay too. I’m not a crazy stalker so don’t worry haha!
Okay so I’m working on my next [really long Luhan- long awaited] scenario and I need a break.
Since I have so many lovely followers I thought of doing something fun. I hope you guys are up for this [otherwise this will be really awkward]. Anon or not send in short scenarios in my ask [There is obviously a word limit]. If you guys leave it hanging I will reply by finishing it but if it’s a complete scenario than I’ll reply with a gif.
Example:
[Idol’s name] was unsure of whether to hold your hand or not. He looked over into the golden blue sky and took a deep breath. He was finally going to to tell you how he felt. “________” he said your name. “I have to tell you something.."
- You can choose any idol you like
- If enough people send in an ask I will either chose myself [or do a voting] and the winner [best scenario] will get to REQUEST ONE SCENARIO [even though the ask box is close right now] So if ya’ll are really want me to write something send in your asks…
Saranghae :)

So my sister comes home and tells me she found an Indonesian/ Chinese guy for me who also happened to have lived in Korea (for 2 years) - so he speaks Korean too- ’Umm perfect package'
Edit: she just added that he kinda looks like Kai.. so… :’}
Hold up on those scenarios. I need to go find this dude.

Yep you’re absolutely right. It’s different for everyone. Most of the non Korean students in my class are taking it because of their love for either K dramas or kpop but I still see that they have no passion to learn. They are just there for the class, hoping for some miracle to happen and they’d start speaking the language fluently. On the other hand there are some who put in a lot of effort especially from learning outside of class. My first semester was pretty bad, not because I didn’t have a strong passion, believe me I do. I was just too busy with my other classes to pay attention to Korean but this semester is going great because I am finally getting a hang of it because most of the material is repeated so often. Plus I have a really good friend in the class who despite being Chinese, knows a good amount of Korean and all of that is from watching dramas. I really admire her. So my advice to you would be to just learn from watching K Variety shows/ dramas but first get your basics right. Once you memorize the few/easy rules you will be good to do and will be able to speak elementary level Korean.
Here’s a link that I would recommend to you. It’s like you are sitting in class. Just keep going with one link everyday and you’ll be good to go. It seems intimidating at first with all those complicated characters but trust me it’s not as hard. Ask any Chinese person out there and they will tell you that korean characters are much simpler compared to Chinese. And also if this doesn’t work out there is always ‘Korean for Dummies’ - Barns and nobles has it but they only have a romanization version so you’ll only be able to speak the language not actually read it.
I hope this helped and I also wish your university starts offering Korean language courses. Hwaiting! :)

This is what S. Korea looks like right now. I was sitting in the lounge when it dawned on me that I am standing on the ground that I blog about everyday and could only dream of being in. I think to a writer it just feels amazing to be able to see the place they spend hours of their days writing about. I don’t know when or if I will ever be able to come back to this place so I’ll enjoy while this moment lasts. (My korean followers-if i have any- must think I am really weird) but you know what they say - you always treasures what you can’t have :)
Currently sitting in a lounge at Incheon International Airport. Even the security oppas are hot. You guys have got to come down here.

You walked into the building and began searching for Super Junior’s new practice room. You wanted to surprise Kyuhyun with a home cooked meal. He always complained about the food the managers fed him.
“Anyeong,” you greeted one of the managers. “Where is the new super junior practice room?” he replied back by pointing towards the east. You followed his direction.
“Oppa!” You poked your head inside and called for Kyuhyun. He was standing in the corner of the room talking to a girl.
“Oppa!” you said a bit louder this time and entered the room.
“______________ah,” a huge time appeared on his face as he turned around and saw you. “I can’t believe you came here,” he said and hugged you.
“Won’t you introduce me to her?” the girl who he’d been talking to, came up behind the two of you.
“Oh ye! I am sorry. This is ________, my girlfriend.”
You looked at her and smiled. She was very pretty. Just like a kpop idol. Long legs, tiny waist, smooth skin and shining eyes. You felt a tinge of jealous but it quickly went away as Kyuhyun slipped his hands around your waist.
“I smell food,” he said winking at you.
“I made your favorite,” you said winking back.
“Hey, Junji do you want to join us?”
You pouted because deep inside you didn’t want her to join you guys. You were there to spend special time with your oppa.
“Oh sure! I’d love too. I’m starving,” she said and followed the two of you into the smaller room.
*********************************************
“Oh my God! This is so goooodd,” Junji said licking her fingers. “Can I have some more?”
“Of course,” you said giving her, her third serving. Both you and Kyuhyun stared at her as she ate.
“Wow! You sure do eat a lot,” Kyuhyun remarked. “Do you not gain weight?”
She shook her head.
“Whaaatt?” you gasped.
“Ye! I eat a lot but I never gain weight. And it doesn’t really affect my skin either.”
The hint of jealousy that you’d tried to suppress started to come back. You had to struggle to stay skinny and so far you were doing a good job.
“__________ah, why don’t you eat?” Kyuhyun asked bringing you back to reality.
“Ahh, I’m not that hungry.” You replied and nipped on the little piece of bread you had in your hand.
******************************************************
You opened the door, in response to the repeated knocking.
“Oh no!” you gasped as you saw Kyuhyun standing opposite you. “You’re leaving for China again aren’t you?”
He chuckled and hugged you. “I love how you get me.”
This wasn’t anything new. Whenever Suju M had to go visit another country, he would come give you a surprise visit.
“Are you tired?” he asked walking into the room.
“A little,” you mumbled.
“Let’s watch a movie,” he slipped into bed and patted the empty side.
You giggled and did as he instructed. As soon as you got in, he turned off the TV and slid over you.
“Hahaha I trolled you,” he said starting to unbutton you.
“Aish oppa,” you pushed him playfully. He kissed you on your cheek and then moved to your neck causing you to blush. He slid further down, completely undressing you.
“__________ah, you’re getting chubby.” He whispered between kisses. Your face turned red and this time it was because of embarrassment. You didn’t quite know how to respond to that so you remained quiet. Kyuhyun didn’t notice your silence and continued with his business.
*******************************************************
Your head hurt a little and your stomach kept poking you to eat something but you silenced it and continued with your work. Ever since Kyuhyun had left, you’d planned to starve yourself everyday so you could lose enough weight before he came back from his trip.
You ignored the frequent headaches and the growling stomach. All you could see were the cheekbones that had starting to show. You found it beautiful and couldn’t wait to show it to your oppa.
“When are you coming back?” you asked him on the phone.
“My flight is tomorrow night. I’ll come straight to your apartment,” he said. You jumped in excitement. Your wait was finally going to end.
********************************************************
You looked at the clock repeatedly but no one knocked. You shook your head to clear your vision as it blurred. You closed yours eyes and squeezed them. The sound of a faint knock on the door made you jump. You ran towards the doors even though your entire body hurt.
“Oppa!” you said as you opened it. Kyuhyun was standing with flowers in his hand. His smile disappeared as he saw you. You advanced towards him but stumbled and collapsed in his arms.
“________, are you alright?” he asked holding you. He picked you up and took you to the room.
“Don’t move,” he said laying you in bed and ran to the kitchen to get some water.
“Here, drink this.” He said placing it near your lips.
You sipped a little bit but the pain in your head was only increasing.
“What have you done to yourself?” he asked sounding angry. “I come back after three weeks and this is what I see? Can you not take care of yourself?”
Tears began forming in your eyes. You pouted and wiped them away.
“You called me chubby,” you mumbled.
“What? When?” he snapped back. He didn’t even remember the comment that had made you hurt your body so much.
“I hate you,” you pushed him back and buried your face in the pillows.
“_________, what are you talking about?” he asked pulling you up. You struggled and succeeded. He didn’t give up. He got on the bed from the other side and forced you up.
“_________ah, don’t cry,” he said hugging you. “I really don’t understand what you’re talking about.”
You lightly punched him on his chest while resting your head on it. “You called me chubby the night before you left. Do you know how I felt at that moment? I was already feeling bad looking at how perfect Junji was and then you made me feel worst. I decided to do this for you so you won’t leave me and be happy w..” Kyuhyun shushed you by pulling you into a kiss.
“I wasn’t serious __________. I love you just the way you are,” he said.
“Then…” you began.
“You don’t have to do all of this. Don’t take such things seriously. And as for Junji, … just because she is perfect doesn’t mean she is the right one for me. You are the perfect one for me.”
This was the most he’d ever said to you. He never opened up like this but seeing you in such a bad state, he had to tell you.
“Oppa!” you mumbled and hugged him again. He stroked your soft hair and kissed you on the neck.
“Woaaa, woaaa, waiiitt, were you jealous of Junji?” he chuckled.
“Aniyo,” you snapped back and hugged him even more tightly. He patted your back.
“Now let’s go get some bubble tea. I know how much you love it.”
“Yes please,” you said jumping up. You hadn’t had any in the past three weeks.
“_________,”
“Ye!”
“You look cuter when you’re chubby,” Kyuhyun said and closed his eyes for what was to come. You advanced towards him to hit him but something made you change your mind and instead you gave him a peck on the cheek. He opened his eyes in confusion and saw your beaming face.
“I love you,” you said.
“I love you too,” he replied with the sexy smile of his.

Can’t wait till kyukyu and I get married ! *blush blush*
To the anon who requested this: I chose Kyuhyun instead of Heechul [because I obviously love kyukyu] and also because both of them are so mischievous, it wouldn’t really have made a difference. However Kyuhyun does have a slightly, I repeat slightly romantic personality so I thought he would better fit with this story line :)
Yep —> In my head he sang this for me. Don’t be jealous you guys! ;)

***submission by aww-sehunyoucutie. Guys this story is beautiful. It made me squeal. I hope you guys enjoy it too :) ***
Sighing, your eyes followed Chen as he sang and danced passionately, his sustaining voice resounding in a forceful vibrato that sent a chill down your spine. Holding your face up as you sat against the wall on the ground, you squirmed weirdly, trying to get rid of the strong frisson.
Looking back up to watch them continue the song practice, you spied Chen’s amused smile at your strange wriggling. You put on an overly fake shocked face and shrugged your shoulders in the most unglamorous way. Turning it into a smile with an energetic wave, you averted your gaze, trying to keep yourself from looking back and instead staring at the other members.
You sighed inaudibly again, hugging your knees, burying your face into them. You were physically tired from staying up late at night reading or just from the cold of the winter. You’d always gotten cold easily, and, as always, the nippy weather was never kind to you.
“______,” Chen called playfully whilst dancing, trying to regain your attention.
You ignored him. Despite your cheerful, weird, bright personality, you were also a sharp girl.
You were in love with Chen, and it hurt sometimes, obviously, you knew. Why Chen, you always thought, why? Chen, who’s never sincere. Who’s kind, but you were bound to be hurt when you realize he was kidding, that he doesn’t care about your feelings. It wasn’t all the time, but whenever you were just so perfectly happy, it was a joke.
And every time, every time, you tell yourself you’ll get even, that it won’t happen again. Still, then, the sad truth you manage to grasp is that it’ll be impossible. It never happens, it will never happen. Because he just doesn’t care about you enough.
Still, you just decided to ignore it and smile, because you wanted him to smile more than anything. And that was only something an idiot would say, but you gladly accepted it.
You’d been friends with Chen since he found you to tutor him in Chinese and English. It was your part time job just after high school, so of course, you took him. You were younger than him by a year, so he was always fine with letting you speak informally, loosely, because he wanted you to be yourself.
“_________!”
You turned your head slowly, shivering from the cold temperature of the room. You folded your knees over your hands, sandwiching your fingers in the backs of your knees, feeling icy coldness in the warmth of your legs.
“What?” you responded lazily, tired and cold.
He’d been whining your name over and over again while he danced, unprofessionalism he rarely ever showed. You felt a chill down your spine, this time from the low temperature in the room rather than from his voice. His eyes widened and he sprinted over to you in the middle of the song.
“________, are you cold?” he knelt down on one knee in front of you, gently taking one of your hands into his and cringing slightly from the cold.
His hands were hot, you were sure all of theirs were, but Chen’s made your hand burn with heat even more.
“It’s so cold,” you complained, holding his hand, secretly happy.
Abruptly, he stood and tossed you the black sweater he left on a seat in favor of dance practice. He held your hand one last time, warming it up before running back to his place, making his band members smile in amusement.
“Wear that and stay,” he shouted over the music, smiling his usual smile.
You were happy. Slowly, you threw it over your head, his sweater hanging loosely off your smaller frame. It didn’t matter how freezing you were, his sweater made you feel warm.
All of the band members knew he was mad in love with you, just as you were with him, urging him to make a move, but he’d always backed out at the last minute, making it a joke. This, of course, you didn’t know.
There was once, though, and you couldn’t help but keep the memory, when he did ask you out. He offered to treat you to bubble tea, but you were so confused, happy, not understanding. You’d asked him why. And at that, there was a pause, then he immediately laughed and replied, ‘just kidding, I can’t create scandals with just anybody.’ You were slightly hurt that you were ‘just anybody’, but you dismissed it with a smile and a nod, ‘I thought so’.
It hurt his ego as well, and, since then, the two of you were always trying, but never making your feelings meet. You became more conscious of his actions and words, and he tried harder, to make you feel something, anything, for him, unknowing you already did, more than enough.
Dance practice ended soon after, you still engrossed in the feeling of the dark article of clothing you wore. You stood up, encouraging everyone brightly. Everyone felt great, the energy in the room was high. Slowly, the six members dispersed, excepting Chen and Minseok, the four others went outside, they usually had takeout that you bring, down in a room a floor above where you were. Xiumin came over, seeing as he was also someone you helped with language, he was friendly with you.
“______!” He called, smiling adorably, as he was used to.
He held your hand, his eyes widening in surprise. He quickly enveloped both of them in his that were warm from practice, and blew warm breath over your fingertips.
“Wah,” he was surprised at the difference in temperature from your hands and his, “_____, I thought frost was my power.”
You laughed at his lame joke, as did he.
You shook your head, he was so cute, you couldn’t help but think. He still rubbed his thumbs over your fingers soothingly, trying to increase the circulation that ran through your hands.
Chen had a brief swig of water before he paused to burn holes into the back of Xiumin’s head. He was upset.
“Still so cold with a sweater on,” Xiumin commented, shaking his head in slight disbelief.
He grazed your fingertips with his lips as a sort of cute joke, and you yelped softly, breaking into laughter alongside the lovely older boy. Chen’s eyes widened and he stormed over angrily. Breaking the two of you up, he held your hand tightly.
“Hey, hyung,” he stood in front of you, expression stiff, staring at Xiumin, “Is anything wrong?”
Minseok clearly knew what the younger boy was implying and shook his head knowingly. He chuckled a bit, backing off with his hands in the air.
“Nothing, Jongdae, nothing,” and Jongdae feels slightly embarrassed at the older boy’s reaction.
Your hands are burning hot, or it felt that way where Chen touched you. Relunctantly, he sighs, turning toward you with newly found ire. Despite his expression, he still held your hands softly, in the sweetest way.
“And you,” he addressed you sternly, upset, clearly you could tell from his face, “Don’t think that just because you get cold easily, you can go and flirt with Minseok-hyung.”
His words struck you dumb. And you stood there, eyebrows slightly raised, confused. He shook his head, frustrated at your lack of response.
“You do it on purpose, don’t you? Let yourself get cold so you can act all cute for hyung?”
You finally managed to register what he said and you hardly understood. No, you did, but you were upset. You wanted to take off the sweater he gave you, because at that moment, you were engulfed in anger, that pounded through your limbs.
“You always spend extra time teaching him, too,” he scoffs, half laughing bitterly, ridiculing you, “Or you’re supposed to be teaching him. All you do is flirt. Of all of the stupid, childish things you could do. Do you really like him that mu-“
“Jongdae,” there are tears in your eyes as you spat out the poisonous words, staring straight into his eyes, “you are such a goddamn jerk.”
You didn’t want to cry.
You pulled your hands back sharply, hurt, so many times. It didn’t matter to you why he would even say that, but he always hurt you, and you were done with being hurt. You were done with acting like it didn’t faze you. It didn’t matter if you loved him, it wasn’t even worth it anymore.
The room is silent, except for the deep breaths he drew and your pained exhale.
“_______, I-“ he stopped, watching you slowly try to remove the clothing he told you to wear.
A jolt of alarm shot through him.
Quickly, he grabbed you, held you tightly. You protested, but lightly, because you’re too busy crying. Silent sobbing, you just wanted to go home. He grabbed onto you tighter, leaning into your body, burying you in his. One hand on the back of your head, pressing it deep into his open chest, one around your back, he embraced you.
“No,” he half whispered into your hearing, “Don’t take it off.”
You were upset and confused, you let out an almost inaudible whimper, trying to stop your tears, and Chen flinched upon hearing it. He tightened his grip.
“_____, I’m sorry,” he apologized, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. _______, I love you.”
He can feel you slightly tense up, and it stirred more sadness in his heart. He almost wanted to laugh at himself, at how pitiful he was. Always hurting you, always, he could see sometimes, not every time, the sparkle from your eyes dull as you smile and force a laugh, waving him off.
“______, I love you, I love you, I love you,” he exhaled painfully, as if he could erase all the horrible memories, “I love you.”
And slowly, you relax. Just enough, to rest in his arms. You gave up. You were tired.
He lets you go, loosens his grip just a bit, so he can see your face. And he leans down. Arms on your shoulders, he bends down to eye level and moves in so close, you could hear the softest of his breaths.
Softly pressing his forehead to yours, he caught your gaze, and somehow, by some strange power, you couldn’t move away. Or, you didn’t want to.
“_______,” he whispered, you could feel it blow across your lips, “tell me, if you love me.”
You don’t know what to say, but all you think is ‘yes’. Still, his heart sunk at your silence.
“I’m,” he paused, thinking how pathetic he must be, “I’m going to kiss you now.”
And before you can shout ‘yes!’ that yes, you love him, his lips connected with your own. Slowly but surely, he pressed his soft lips against yours, and broke apart gently, making sure to look at your expression.
“Ni ai wo ma?” he asked in his best attempt at Mandarin if you love him, and you crack a smile, laughing softly at how horribly cheesy all of it was.
“Mn,” you made a sound of agreement, “Wo ai ni.”
He formed a sweet grin with his lips, and crashed his smile to yours, and you reciprocated.
Just then, the door creaked open. You peered around Chen to see who it was.
“Woah, damn,” came the surprised male voice, it was Tao.
Eyes wide, he raised his hands and backed away from the door, whispering a quick ‘sorry’ in response to the two of you in the room turning around to face him.
The door clicked closed. And there was silence.
You couldn’t help but laugh. A genuine laugh, and Chen laughed along with you.
Jongdae fixed his sweater on your shoulders, pulling it back from slipping off, and with one hand behind your back, brought you along to turn up the heat in the room.
And that, you thought, was and would always be the sweetest thing he could do on a cold winter’s day.
LOL. Okay. Fjskalfjaklfjlakfj. Love Chen. <3 Ohgod. Jfklsdkfjslfkjldjflksjlfasjd. The end was… … CHEESE. ALL CHEESE. QAQ Alright. Sorry about that… :D Okay, have fun~

**[My 50th EXO scenario —-> Can’t wait for my 100th] **
“Are you dropping him or should I drop him today?” Suho asked you while eating breakfast.
“No, I’ll drop him on my way,” you replied.
“Honey, are you alright?” you asked In su.
He didn’t look up and continued to play with the little toy in his hand. Suho looked at him too now. He looked at you with questioning eyes as if asking you what was wrong.
“His teacher called yesterday,” you said in a low tone.
“What was she saying?” he asked.
“She told me that he hasn’t been concentrating in class lately. I asked him what was wrong but he hasn’t said anything since yesterday.”
Suho got up and sat beside In su. “What’s up little buddy?”
In su shook his head and looked away.
“Did somebody say something to you?” he asked.
In su shook his head once again.
“Take me to school appa,” he said getting up from his seat.
“I’ll take you,” you interrupted.
“No let me take him,” Suho said holding his hand. “I’ll see you in the evening.” Him and In su gave you a quick peck on the cheek and left.
You sighed and went to your room to get ready for work but you just couldn’t stop worrying about your son. He had been very quiet for the past few days.
************************************************
You went around the school several times but you couldn’t find In su. All the students had left already then where could he be. ‘Maybe Suho picked him up. No, no why would he? He has long schedules today.’- you thought to yourself.
You ran inside and asked the staff members but they didn’t know where he was either. You finally decided to call Suho and ask him. He was your last hope.
“Hey,”
“Hey,” he replied.
“Did you pick up In Su already?” you asked before he could say anything else.
“Ahh no, I thought you were picking him today since you got off early from..”
“Oh my God,” you said meekly. You felt your heart sink. This is exactly what you were afraid off.
“What happened?”
“He isn’t in school. I checked all the rooms and I even asked the teachers.” You said with a crying voice.
“Okay ______, calm down calm down,” he tried to comfort you.
“I told you, something was up with him. Suho I’m so scared,” you were actually crying now.
“I’m going to be there okay, just give me 15 minutes.” He hung up on you and hurried out the doors.
You paced up and down in the corridor, your heart beating faster than ever.
“Are you looking for someone?” a lady came up behind you and asked. She looked like one of the teachers.
“My son In su,” you said, still not being able to recover from your panic state.
“In su?”
“Ye,”
“He wasn’t in class all day today,” she said.
“What?” you cried in surprise.
“Ye, he’s in my class. In fact I think we talked on the phone yesterday too. I thought you didn’t send him to school today.”
“No , no, no I did send him to school,” you said holding your palm up to your forehead. You were panicking more than before now. You sat on a small bench behind you because your body felt too weak.
“__________ ah, were are you?” Suho called you while entering the building. You ran towards him and hugged him.
“She said he didn’t come to school at all today,” you said between sobs. “I want my son Suho, I just want my son.”
He patted your head and looked at the lady standing behind you.
“I dropped him at the entrance myself today. There is no way he wasn’t in school. Are you sure we are talking about the same In su?”
“Yes I’m sure. I talked to your wife yesterday too.”
You pulled away from Suho and looked at her too. You eyes were red and puffy.
“Where could he be?” you asked both of them.
“Do you have a picture of him?” he asked.
“Ye,” you said taking them it of your purse.
“Okay I’m going to make multiple copies of this and give them to the boys. They can probably help us with this.”
“Are we going to tell the police?” you asked.
“Ye, I’ll give them a call too. Just wait here okay. I’ll come back in a bit and then we can go search for him together.”
You could see that Suho was trying hard to stay calm and not cry. He was equally worried but he wanted to stay strong, for you.
**************************************************
Suho came back after a while and both of you left the school to look for your little one. You guys went around every street market and every park but no luck. Nobody had seen him.
You sat on a bench in the park and buried your face in your hands. Suho sat beside you to hold you.
“It’s getting dark,” you said still crying.
“I know.” Suho pulled you into a hug. “Don’t cry. We’ll find him.”
“Where could he be? He’s been missing since this morning. Anything could happen to him… I want my son back.” you said shaking your head. Suho finally broke down ad began crying. You could hear his sniffles. It made you cry even more. Both of you held each other tightly and sobbed.
His phone began ringing, suddenly.
“Hello,”
The voice on the other side said something. Suho suddenly jumped up. He pulled you out of the park while still on the phone.
“Yeah, .. ahan.. okay I’m coming.”
“What?” you asked.
“Luhan and Chanyeol found him.”
You couldn’t believe what he had said for a second but as it slowly started to sink in. You felt the energy coming back into you.
“Oh thank God,” you took a sigh of relief but you were still worried. You weren’t going to relax till you saw him in front of you and held him in your arms.
*****************************************
You jumped out of the car and ran towards Chanyeol who was holding In su.
“Where did you go?” you asked him holding him tightly. Suho came up behind you and took him from you. He hugged him tightly too.
“Where were you? We were looking all over for you.”
“Okay both of you need to calm down. You guys are scaring him,” Said Luhan. He was right. In su did look scared.
All 5 of you went to a restaurant nearby and settled on the seats in the corner.
“Call the rest of them and tell them we found him,” Luhan said to Chanyeol. he nodded back.
“Talk to me In su,” Suho said softly.
He didn’t say anything.
“In su, you need to tell us what’s going on so we can help you with this,” you added.
He didn’t say anything but instead buried his face in Luhan’s chest.
“Give him some time,” Chanyeol suggested.
“Nobody wants to be my friend,” In su finally said after a long silence.
“Wha..”
Suho held your hand to stop you. He took In su from Luhan and had him sit on his lap.
“Who doesn’t want to be your friend?”
“Everybody,” he said fixing his glasses.
“Why?”
“Because they think I’m a nerd.” A tear rolled down his cheek. Your heart ached at what he’d said. Nothing felt worst than seeing your own son cry.
“Aww nobody thinks that. Why would you say that?” Suho hugged him.
“Because they call me a nerd,” he said.
Both you and Suho were speechless. You didn’t know how to make him feel better. You regretted changing his school now. He missed his friends. Both of you felt like you weren’t good parents. You looked at Suho and he at you.
“Well then they don’t know that they will be working for you one day,” Luhan said suddenly and touched In su’s nose.
A smile spread on his face. “And besides, they are not your real friends anyways. I am sure you’ll make good friends soon. Give it some time.” Chanyeol added.
“Promise?” Insu asked uncle Chanyeol.
“Promise,” Chanyeol messed his hair and tickled him. You’d heard In su laugh for the first time since the past week. A smile spread on your face too.
“Do you want me to get you some ice cream?” Suho asked him.
He nodded. “But you have to promise me you won’t run away from school ever again. Your mom and I were worried about you.”
“I won’t,” he said shaking his head and opening his arms so you could hug him.
“I’m sorry umma,” he said.
You kissed him on his cheeks. “Don’t ever do that again.”
“I won’t,” he said wrapping his arms around you tightly.
You and Suho both nodded to Chanyeol and Luhan to say thank you. They really had helped both of you today.

“Here, take some. It’ll make you feel better,” you offered chicken soup to Luhan.
“Thanks babe,” he said taking it from you. You slipped besides him in bed.
***Aaa.. aaa..Aachooo*** Luhan sneezed.
“This is what happens, when you don’t listen to your girl friend and go out in the rain,” you teased him.
“Yeah, I really should start listening to you,” he said making a cute face.
“Aish, don’t make that face,” you patted his arm. Luhan smiled at you while gulping down the soup.
“So how long will you be gone, this time?” you asked.
“Aaaa, three weeks,” he replied.
“Three weeks? Oh my my,” you made a face.
“I know,” he sighed. You cuddled up besides him, putting his arms around you.
“You’ll get sick,” he warned.
“I don’t care,” you replied, placing your hands on his chest. He gave you a kiss on your temple and ran his fingers through your hair. You fell asleep instantly.
****************************************
“Oppa wake up,” you shook Luhan but he didn’t even budge. You shook him again, but still there was no response.
“Oppa, you’ll be late for your flight,” you said, a little bit louder this time. You had no choice but to drop water on his face. You went back into the bathroom to get some. Luhan opened his eyes to see what you were up too. He’d been up the whole time. He just wanted to mess around with you.
“Okay you asked for this,” you said holding a bottle of water on top of his face. Just as you were about to drop it on his face, Luhan opened his eyes and grabbed you. He pulled you towards him, making you fall on the bed.
“What? You were up the whole time?” you asked.
“Ye,” he replied, tickling you.
“Aii, oppa stop,” you began to laugh. You were very ticklish. He gave you a peck on the cheek and then on your neck.
“I’m going to miss you so much,” you sighed.
“Me too,” he replied getting out of bed. “I should get going. I don’t want to be late.”
“Don’t you want breakfast?” you asked.
“Aneyo, I’ll eat it there.” Luhan gave you a quick peck before leaving.
Now all you had to do was wait for him to return like you did most of the time. You just hoped that this time he’d return on time because three weeks from then was going to be your one year anniversary with him.
*********************************************
“Hey Luhan, oh my God! I didn’t know you were going too,” Suri walked up behind him. Luhan turned around immediately at the familiar voice.
“Suri,” he gasped. He was so surprised at seeing her after so long. Luhan had liked her before they debuted but never had enough courage to confess his feelings to her.
“So, you’re coming too,” he asked.
“Ye,” Suri went on explaining how she was a last minute addition to the show. Luhan listened with his mouth half open. There was something about her that enveloped all of his attention.
“Well I’m glad that you’re coming. This trip will be a lot more fun now,” he said with a nervous smile.
“Ye,” she replied playing with the strands of her hair.
The trip indeed, was an interesting one. Luhan had met Suri after so long that he forgot about everything else. He ran around her all the time, trying to spend as much time with her possible. You called him every day but he didn’t pick up and when he did, he just talked for a few minutes. You didn’t care at all. All you needed was to hear his voice and that was enough for you. You loved him too much to pry over things like these. You always wondered why Luhan asked you out in the first place. You were definitely not as pretty or anywhere near perfect as the idol girls. Sometimes you felt that he deserved someone much better, someone who could at least be compatible with him.
*******************************************
It was almost the end of the third week and you were anticipating Luhan’s return desperately. Two nights from then was going to be your first anniversary and you wanted it to be perfect. You couldn’t resist so you called him.
“Are you back yet?” you asked.
“Ye, came back last night,” he replied. He sounded tired.
“Oh okay. Do you want to come over tomorrow?” you asked.
“Uh, actually I’ll come over tonight. I need to talk about something.” He said with a serious tone.
“Yeah that’d be fine.” You replied as your heart jumped with excitement.
*****************************************
‘Can you come to the park downstairs?’ - Luhan texted you.
You wore the prettiest dress that you could find in your closet. You were hoping he’d do something special, even though there was still two days left till your anniversary.
“It’s cold out here! Why are you wearing that?” Luhan asked you as you approached him.
“I didn’t know it was going to be this cold,” you said rubbing your arms for warmth. You were regretting wearing the dress. Instead of complimenting you, he was getting angry. He didn’t seem to be in a good mood. The two of you began walking. The sun was setting; the darkness slowly taking over.
“_________, I want to tell you something,” he said stopping by a tree.
“Ye,” you replied. You couldn’t tell if he was upset or nervous. You’d always found it hard to read his expressions. In some deep corner of your heart, you had a feeling you weren’t going to like what he was about to say but you shrugged it off.
“I think we should break up,” he said without looking at you.
“What?” you gasped as your heart sank. ‘What?’ – you repeated in your head. Why did he say that? It didn’t make sense.
“I’m sorry. I just want to be honest with you because I do care about you. Over this trip I met Suri.”
‘Oh so it was Suri’ – things started making sense now.
“I had no idea I still had feelings for her until I saw her again. I am so sorry ________. I didn’t mean to hurt you but I don’t think I can take our relationship any further. I don’t want to lie to you and I don’t want to lie to myself either. My feelings have changed..” he trailed off.
You were dumbfounded. You were surprised at the sudden confession. As it slowly started sinking in, it wasn’t that surprising any more. You knew this was going to happen one day. You could see it coming. Suri was perfect in every way while you couldn’t stop counting all the flaws that you had. You wanted to be mad at him but could you really be mad at him? Instead you blamed yourself for not being the right girl for him. You felt weak as if someone had soaked all the energy out of you. You sat down on the bench.
“_________ ah, please say something!” Luhan said. You didn’t respond. You didn’t have anything to say. What did he want you to say anyways? Beg him to stay? Forgive him for hurting you? Or to tell him that you were going to be okay. You were not going to be okay at all. He had no idea what he’d done to you in a mere 30 seconds. “I didn’t want to hurt you that’s why I’m doing this now before it was too late.” Luhan added, seeing that you weren’t responding.
‘Too late?’ -yes it was, ‘one year’ too late. He probably didn’t even remember that you guy’s anniversary was coming. You were completely and madly in love with him. He obviously didn’t feel the same way. Luhan took off his jacket and wrapped it around your shivering body. A tear rolled down your cheek. He lifted his hand to wipe it but you lightly pushed it away.
“_________,” he said your name again but you still didn’t utter a single word. Your silence was killing him. You got up and took off the jacket that he had wrapped around you. You handed it back to him and began walking. He was a stranger to you now and you didn’t like accepting things from people you didn’t know.
“_________,” he called after you once again. You turned around, to look at him one last time.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. That was the moment you decided that you never wanted to see him again. You were going to move on in life no matter how much it hurt you.
********************************************************
Luhan turned on the lights in his room. Two arms grabbed him from behind. He jumped around.
“Suri?” he gasped.
“Ye, don’t panic silly,” she slid her arms behind his neck.
“How did you get in?” he asked.
She leaned in, stopping very close to his face. “Does it matter?”
Luhan pulled a smile, trying hard not to show that he was upset.
“So did you breakup with her?” she asked. He nodded back.
“I’m sorry about all of this.” She said with a sad face. She really did feel bad.
“Aneyo don’t say that,” Luhan said immediately, putting his hands on her mouth. “None of this is your fault.”
“Really?” she purred, slowly taking off her shirt. She gave Luhan a kiss on the neck and pulled him towards the bed…
*****************************************************
Tears finally began rolling out of your eyes as you reached home. You had held them in long enough. It was time to let them out now. You curled up under the sheets holding your hands close to your chest and wept all night.
Your eyes hurt when you woke up the next morning. You wished you never woke up because now the night before’s events were coming back slowly and you wanted to cry again. Too bad, your tears had dried up. You couldn’t even express the emptiness inside of you now. You tried to convince yourself that you were much stronger than this. You could easily move on. You figured that if you told this lie to yourself enough times, you might actually start believing it.
*************************************************************
A month later..
“Why’d you bring me here?” Suri asked sliding her arms into Luhan’s.
“I like walking in the parks.” He replied.
“Well I find it boring,” she pouted.
“Okay walk with me just this once,” he said.
“Oppa, don’t say it like that. You know I love hanging out with you.”
“I know,” Luhan chuckled while looking in the other direction. His eyes fell on you. You were at the park with your friend and his niece whom he was babysitting.
“Oppa?” Suri shook him.
“Huh,?”
“Where’s the bathroom? I really need to go.”
“Umm I think they have some, behind those stalls,” Luhan pointed towards the east.
“Ai gomawo, I’ll be back in a flash,” she said while running. Luhan turned back towards the direction you were in. You seemed happy. You were jumping with excitement as your friend got you and his niece a balloon. Soon another one of your friends came and joined. ‘She’s doing pretty well..’ Luhan thought to himself. As far as he knew you, he knew that you were very sensitive. He was thinking you’d still be sitting in your room sobbing but you were doing better than he’d expected. He was curious. He wanted to talk to you. More importantly, a little part of him was missing you. All the good times that the two of you had spent together were coming back to him. The way you’d wake him in the mornings. Make him breakfast. Bury your head in his chest every time you guys watched a scary movie. Bring him home cooked meals every time he craved them. Always argued about peeling the banana from the bottom and pouting when he wouldn’t listen to you. Falling asleep in his arms after a long day. Taking care of him when he fell sick. Blushing every time he complimented you. All these memories were coming back to him one by one as his eyes followed the movement of your body.
You didn’t notice him until he walked up to you. Your heart started racing but in the past one month you had trained yourself to be calm. Instead of breaking down you pulled a smile and waved at him.
“Hey Luhan,” you said cheerily.
“Hey,” he said with an inaudible voice.
Both of you stood in an awkward silence. You felt like you had clenched your heart tightly so it wouldn’t signal your brain to start crying again.
“How have you been?” Luhan asked after a long pause.
“Good,” you replied with the biggest smile on your face.
“Hmm that’s nice,” he said nodding his head.
“Oppaaaaa,” Suri called his name walking towards the two of you.
“________, what are you doing here?” she asked, sounding a little awkward.
“Ah, I’m just here with a bunch of friends,” you said putting your hands together.
“Oh that’s great but Luhan and I have to leave now,” she said pulling him. You were a little surprised because Luhan didn’t like being pushed around. He liked to have things in his control. He turned around and looked at you. You were looking right back at him. You turned around and looked at the bench where you and Luhan stood a month ago on a chilly night. His eyes followed your gaze. He looked towards the ground as if he understood what you were trying to say.
You went back to playing with the little girl but you broke down after making sure Luhan had left.
“_____ ah, why are you doing this to yourself?” Yeoung Jin asked you. “He clearly doesn’t deserve you. Look at him now. She is treating him the way he should be treated. You should be happy!”
“I can’t see him like this. It hurts me.” You said wiping your tears.
“Are you still in love with him?” he asked.
You nodded after a little while. Yeoung Jin sighed and hugged you. “You’ll be fine. I promise you okay!”
*********************************************************
‘Sleeping?’ – you read Luhan’s text. You were surprised that he still had your number.
‘No’
‘I’m at the park..’
‘It’s 2 in the morning,’
‘I know’
You didn’t know how to respond. You were still thinking when your phone buzzed again.
‘Do you want to come..?’
‘I’m sleepy. Good night Lu han,’ – you made it clear that you wanted to be as far away from him as possible. But your heart wouldn’t let you sleep in peace. A little voice inside you kept bothering you.
*************************************************
“You came?” Luhan said as you settled besides him.
“Ye,” you replied without looking at him.
“It’s cold again,” he tried to make a conversation. You nodded, holding your shawl more tightly. “Here take my jacket.” He took it off and wrapped it around you.
“So what are you doing out here?” you asked.
“To be honest! I have no idea.” He sighed. Then without warning, Luhan turned towards you and pressed his lips against yours. You kissed him back for a brief second but quickly pulled away.
“Go back home oppa, Suri must be waiting for you.” You began to get up but he pulled you back.
“Don’t go please.” He said desperately. For the first time since you’d known him, you saw him getting teary eyed.
“Oppa please don’t do this to me again.” A tear rolled down your cheek even though you’d tried so hard to keep it in.
“I’m sorry ________. I am so sooo sorry.” He shook his head.
“It doesn’t matter anymore,” you pulled your hand away.
“It does. At least to me. Please come back.” He got up and stood beside you.
“You played with my heart and I was okay with that but now, don’t do this to Suri,” you said turning around once again to leave.
“Why are you like this?” he pulled you again. You looked at him with questioning eyes.
“Why do you always think about others before you think about yourself? You should slap me, hit me. Do whatever you want to because what I did to you was wrong.”
He waited for you to say something but you couldn’t even look him straight in the eyes.
“_________, your silence is killing me. Say something!” he shook you. You didn’t know why but you felt like hugging him and that’s exactly what you did. He wrapped his arms around you tightly. The two of you stood there for a long time.
“I should go,” you said pulling away and turning around.
“But..” he began to say something.
“I don’t know what I want right now oppa,” you said with your back facing him. You began to walk again. You knew you still loved him and you had forgiven him but you weren’t sure if you wanted to go back.
A smile spread across Luhan’s face seeing you wrap his jacket around you tightly. You didn’t return it this time. He knew you were going to come back one day. Now, it was his time to wait…

“Hey are you free?” Key threw a question at you as soon as you answered your phone.
“Aaa, not really,” you replied.
“Okay, then open the door.”
“Why?”
“I’m standing outside.”
“What?” you jumped out of the covers and ran towards the door.
“What are you doing here?” you said pulling him in as you opened the door.
“I just wanted to hang out for a bit,” he said scratching his head.
“If my brother sees you here, he’ll flip out on me,” you said, lowering your tone this time.
“He’s back?” Key asked with a surprised back.
“Ye, he came back last night.”
“But your parents aren’t back yet. That’s why I came.”
“No they decided to stay but he came back because he had work.”
Key made a face as he settled down on the couch.
“Don’t get comfy. You have to go,” you said pulling him. Instead, he pulled you towards him, causing you to fall on top of him. Your faces were only inches apart. He gave you a quick peck on the nose.
“Don’t you like spending time with me?”
“I do,” you replied, shyly looking away.
“It’s been three months and you still blush,” he said running his soft fingers on your face.
“Aneyo,” you said putting your hand on your face. You got out of the awkward position and got up, your back now facing him.
“When are you going to tell them?” he asked. You were hoping he wouldn’t ask but sooner or later he was going to.
“I will.. soon,” you replied.
“It’s been three months ______.”
“I know,” you replied, turning around and holding his arms.
“So when exactly will it be?”
“I just don’t know how to do it. They’ll be very upset and you know that.”
“So, if tomorrow they bring home a guy and tell you that you are to marry him; what will you do?” you wanted to escape his looks but he continued to stare at you.
“I don’t want to disappoint them.”
“And me?” he asked. You couldn’t tell if he was mad at you or just really upset and disappointed.
“Okay, how about next Saturday, on my birthday.”
“You’ll tell them on your birthday?” Key asked with a face, now lit up. You loved this about him. Little things like these made him happy.
“Ye,” you nodded.
He pulled you towards him and showered you with kisses.
“I love you, I love you, I love you so much,” he repeated over and over.
“I love you too oppa,” you said while giggling.
“I should leave now shouldn’t I?” he asked finally stopping.
“Ye,”
Key leaned in to give you one last kiss on your lips.
“I love you,” he said, stopping for a brief moment and then connecting his lips to yours again.
“Ahem ahem,” someone from behind the two of you cleared his throat. Your legs began trembling. You knew it was your brother. It had to be.
The two of you turned around immediately. Words failed to form and your hands went numb. Key held your hands to calm you down. He knew how scared you were.
“Please don’t tell appa and umma,” you finally gathered enough courage to say. The hard expression on your brother’s face didn’t change. He seemed like he was about to kill both of you.
“Please don’t..” Key began to say but stopped as your brother shot a look at him. He slowly advanced towards you. Stopping only inches away, he lifted his hand. You thought he was going to hit you but instead he pulled both of you into a hug.
“What?” both you and Key gasped.
Your brother pulled away, laughing at the two of you. “Did you really think you’d be in a relationship and I wouldn’t know?”
“You knew?” you asked.
“Of course! Since the first day actually,” he messed your hair.
“Then why didn’t you say anything?”
“It’s your personal matter. I shouldn’t be interfering so I was just waiting for you to tell us. Besides, the two of you make a really cute couple.”
“Awwww,” you hugged him tightly. “Gomawo.”
He patted your back.
“Take care of my little sister okay!” He said in sort of a threatening but amusing way to Key.
“Yes Sir,” Key replied enthusiastically.
Now all you had to do was, tell your parents…

‘You followed me annoyingly, and took a deep breath
Trying to catch me, who’s leaving you alone
I grabbed your shoulders tightly and loudly said “We’re through”
That the farewell poison has already, without you knowing, spread in my heart’
“Why are you playing this song?” you threw a cushion at your friend.
“It’s your boy friend’s song. I thought you’d like it?” she frowned.
“Yeah, but one of his happy songs. You know how much I hate listening to sad songs.” You pouted.
“But at least listen to it. It’s really beautiful.”
‘ The disease where my love is slowly dying
It hurts a little, but I don’t want to get better
Every single memory is erasing
Going back to the times when we were strangers,
I want to rest now
Like having played with fire for a long time
Everything has burned, and only ashes remain (Only ashes remain)
Like how even the first feelings have become faint
Everything has become useless (useless)
Facing you and taking your hands, with a bitter smile, I said “Please, be happy”
To find a person who will soothe and embrace the scars that I’ve left you.’
“Aish I don’t like it. It’s such a sad song,” you said wiping the tears that were forming in your eyes.”
“You get emotional so easily.” She remarked.
“It’s not that,” you played with your fingers.
“Then what is it?” she asked.
“It’s been nearly two years and in this time, he’s only called me once or twice. Does Ryeowook Oppa call you every day?” you asked.
“Not every day, but he tries to call me at least twice a week,” she replied.
You sighed and folded your arms.
“He’s coming back from the army next month. I am really happy but I’m scared at the same time.” You said with a meek voice.
“Scared? Of what?” she asked.
“We haven’t talked in almost two years and in this time I have waited every second for him.”
“So?”
“So, what if he doesn’t love me anymore?”
“________, do you love him?”
“More than my life.”
A smile spread on your friend’s face. “Well than he loves you a lot too. You know how Kyuhyun oppa has always been the ‘not sharing his feelings’ kind of person and yet you still loved him so why doubt it now?”
You felt your body getting numb and your arms getting cold.
“I just hope you’re right..” you mumbled.
She hugged you in a tight embrace. “All this wait won’t go to a waste. I promise.”
“Gomawo,” you whispered to her. She patted your back to comfort you.
“Do you want to call him?” she asked.
“Right now?” you asked surprisingly.
“Ye, here dial his number.” She handed you the phone.
Your hands were shaking while you dialed the number. You could hear the tone, once, twice, thrice…
“Aneyong,” Kyuhyun said from the other side.
“Oppa..” you whispered.
“________, how are you?” he asked. You almost didn’t recognize his voice.
“I’m fine. How are you?”
“I’m fine too.”
Both of you fell into an awkward silence. You felt like you were disturbing him.
“Oppa, when are you coming back?” you asked hesitantly.
“In a few days,” he replied after a short pause.
“I’ll be waiting for you,” you said as you heart raced.
“Hey listen, they’re calling me so I have to go. I’ll talk to you later okay?” he said and hung up without waiting for you to respond.
You looked at your friend. She had a bright smile on her face.
“So how did it go?” she asked.
You nodded your head and laid down on the couch. You had mixed feelings about the short conversation that you’d had with Kyuhyun. You were happy that you heard his voice but you could still feel this empty feeling inside of you. You just wished it’d go away.
************************************************
Today was the day Kyuhyun was going to be released from the army. You were happy. All the nervousness had vanished. Now all you had to do was wait a few more days before he came to meet you. He had to go meet his parents first and you respected that.
You waited till midnight for but he never called. You felt a twinge in your heart but you suppressed it.
***Ring Ring*** - you lunged towards your phone.
“Hello!” you said, catching your breath.
“Hey,” he replied.
“How did they react?” you asked.
“Umma started crying. Appa hugged me. He was very emotional too.”
“Awwww, I wish I was there to see that,” you murmured, trying to hint that it was about time he introduced you to his parents.
“I’ll come see you soon.”
“I’ll be waiting..” you trailed off. “Saranghae oppa.”
“Saranghae,” he replied after a brief pause.
******************************************************
You hated carrying groceries up the stairs. You carefully paced them on the floor as you reached the top and opened the door. The lights in the living room were on. You were sure, you’d turned them off that morning obviously because you couldn’t afford paying the bills. Leaving the groceries in the corner, you tip toed to the living room. Your heart skipped a beat watching Kyuhyun sitting on the couch reading a magazine.
“You still put your keys under the mat don’t you?” he said without looking up.
A smile broke on your face as your heart raced. Your ears were getting hot.
“Oppa,” you cried with excitement and ran towards him. He got up and hugged you.
“You haven’t changed a bit,” he whispered. You liked it when he said that. You pulled away and looked at him. His face was as fresh and young as when he left. He hadn’t changed a bit, either. You ran your fingers on his face while he looked at you intently. Tears of joy filled your eyes.
“You don’t know how much I waited for this moment,” you said embracing him again.
“Me too,” he said but loosened his grip on you.
The two of you sat down but neither of you had anything to talk about. You were happy. Really happy that he had returned but he felt distant. It seemed like he’d forced himself to come meet you. You shrugged the feeling out of your heart and rested your head on his chest, just like old times. He placed one of his arms around you and closed his eyes.
****************************************************
You hoped things would change over the next few weeks but they didn’t. Kyuhyun visited you regularly but as usual, the two of you only exchanged a few words. You tried to tell yourself that maybe you were dwelling in the past too much. It was time for you to start living in the present.
You guys had plans to go out, but it started raining. There was nothing you could do but stay in. Kyuhyun decided to watch a movie instead. The two of you lay in bed, your bodies pressed against each other. You gently placed your arm on his chest and your head on his shoulder. You weren’t disappointed that you couldn’t go out tonight. Cuddling with oppa was much better than having dinner in a formal setting. The movie was boring as always but Kyuhyun’s warmth was all you needed at the point.
“_________, Kyuhyun whispered your name.”
“Hmmm.”
“I want to say something,” he said getting up, forcing you off of him.
“Ye,” you replied.
He sat across from you and held your hands. He looked away so as to form the words that he was about to utter. You could feel his hands shaking. A shudder ran through you. What was he going to say? You wanted to pull away your hand but a little part of you wanted to hear what he had to say.
“_________, I.. don’t think we should be together anymore,” he said looking straight into your eyes.
“What?” you said with an inaudible voice.
“I’m sorry,” he said, looking away.
“What do you mean?” you asked.
“Ever since I came back from the army, I’ve realized that I have so much to do in life and this..”
“You feel like I’m holding you back?” you finished for him.
“No, no that’s not it,” he said looking at you now.
“Then what is it?” you asked.
“I don’t know how to explain it!” he shook his head.
“Don’t you think I deserve an explanation after waiting for you for so long?” you asked.
He didn’t say anything. He looked away, not being able to face your questioning eyes. He knew he’d hurt you a lot but he didn’t want to be in a relationship where he had to pretend that he loved you. He didn’t know when his feelings changed for you. He hoped they’d go away once he saw you again but they didn’t.
“I’m sorry ________,” he said once again, standing up and walking towards the window.
You didn’t know what to say. You were mad and upset and you felt like somebody had just ripped your heart out. You didn’t know why he was doing this. You were pretty sure you still loved him just like you loved him three years ago. If your feelings hadn’t change then how could his?
“Oppa, please don’t do this!” you begged not caring about yourself respect. You wanted to do everything possible to stop him from leaving. If he left then the two years you spent convincing yourself that he was going to come back and nothing will change, wouldn’t mean anything. All of it would be a lie that you were telling yourself.
“Do you not have a heart?” you asked. “I waited two years for you and you know how much I love you,” you said. The tears that you’d been holding back were finally coming out now. Your vision blurred and you felt dizzy. You buried your head in your lap and sobbed.
Kyuhyun came and sat beside you once again. “Please don’t cry. It hurts me to see you cry.”
“Please don’t lie. If it hurt you to see me cry you wouldn’t do this to me,” you said meekly.
“I want to save you the tears in the future.” He said placing his hands on your shoulder. You shrugged them off. Kyuhyun sat there for a while but he knew it was time to leave. There was no turning back or fixing what he had done, from here on. He felt his energy drain as he got up. He turned around and looked at you once again.
You wished he’d say all of this was a lie and come back and hug you. But then your heart asked you if you’d really take him back? And you knew you wouldn’t. There was no fixing to this broken heart now.
You jumped out of bed and ran towards the door. Kyuhyun was still standing there. He turned around and looked at you. You looked at him too. Neither of you moved. He opened the door and finally left, leaving you alone. You wished he’d broken up with you earlier to save you the pain. How could he be so cruel? You couldn’t force him into this relationship but what about your heart that still loved him. You knew you couldn’t love anyone else more than you loved him. The song that your friend played earlier started playing in your head again. You had no idea that this song was one day going to define the story of your life.
‘The disease where my love is slowly dying
It hurts a little, but I don’t want to get better
Every single memory is erasing
Going back to the times when we were strangers,
I want to rest now
Like having played with fire for a long time
Everything has burned, and only ashes remain (Only ashes remain)
Like how even the first feelings have become faint
Everything has become useless (useless)
Facing you and taking your hands, with a bitter smile, I said “Please, be happy”
To find a person who will soothe and embrace the scars that I’ve left you’

7 years later…
“Ummmmaaaa,” your three year old son cried running towards you.
You picked him up. “What’s wrong?” you asked kissing him on the cheek.
“I want ice cream,” he demanded.
“Ice cream? In this cold weather?” you asked.
He nodded his head.
“Well young man, you won’t be getting any ice cream right now,” you tickled him. He giggled. His laugh meant the world to you. You laughed with him then suddenly your body froze as your eyes fell on a figure you were familiar with. He was looking right back at you with a faint smile on his face. A girl came up beside him and put her hand on his shoulder offering him coffee. He held her hand and pulled her towards him. She gave him a peck on the cheek. You felt a twinge in your heart. Seeing him again, like this only brought back the memories of that horrible day when he left you.
“What’s wrong honey?” your husband came up besides you and asked.
“Nothing! You shook your head. He wrapped his arms around you giving you a comforting smile. The pain that you felt a few seconds ago vanished. You loved your husband. No one could have healed the wounds Kyuhyun had left you like he did. You slid your arm around his waist holding your son in the other.
“Let’s go home,” you said placing your head on his shoulder.
Kyuhyun turned around and looked at you. A smile appeared on his face. Indeed, someone had healed the wounds he’d left you. He could finally forgive himself now, for hurting you.
