You cleared your table once again, making sure there was nothing left on it. You’d forgotten to take your keys back home the day before and had to come all the way to get them.
“Keys, purse, phone and jacket, okay,” you counted everything to make sure one last time before leaving your cubicle. You worked at SM Entertainment as the head coordinator for Super Junior’s concerts in various countries. You had started off with a much smaller job and worked your way up. It was your 4th year working there. You loved it but you were starting to get tired of it. You needed a change.
“____________,” someone called your name, just as you were about to exit the building. You knew exactly who it was but what was he doing there at that time of the night. You turned around to see the small figure running towards you.
“Minsuk, what are you doing here?” you asked, picking him up.
“Appa picked me up from school today so I stayed here all day,” he said, moving his eyes from side to side.
“Oh Appa picked you up hmmm,” you said with a big smile and ran your hands through his hair.
“Minsuk where are….” Suho stopped outside the practice room seeing him in your hands. “Oh I’m sorry. Was he disturbing you?” Suho asked walking towards the two of you.
“Oh no, not at all,” you replied handing Minsuk over. You immediately looked away. Making eye contact with Suho had been the hardest thing since you first started work at the company. It hadn’t changed ever since. Mainly because it brought back bad memories…
“Okay so I’m going to go now,” you said taking a leave.
*******************************************************
You made a cup of hot coco and settled in bed to watch your favorite movie. It was hard to focus that night. You started to regret bumping into Suho. You always made sure never to come across him. It only lead to him trying to act as normal as possible and you avoiding eye contact.
“Arghhhh, what’s wrong with me,” you said pulling your hair. “Why did I have to see him?”
You tried to avoid old memories from coming back but they flooded in one by one.
You still remembered your first date with him in a small café outside of your school. You were nervous so he held your hand to comfort you. Two years passed in a breeze but the only thing that changed between you and him was his love. It had increased every day. Then one day he had to leave for debut and you never saw him again, until 5 years later. He had a son and a beautiful wife. It broke you completely because all those years you had kept hope alive. Hope, that he would come back. You thought many times to leave the company, but you couldn’t. You needed money to survive in that harsh city. You were on your own. You made a conscious decision to make sure you never crossed his path. The first time he saw you, he almost chocked on his drink. He hadn’t expected it at all. In the four years you had worked there, you and Suho had barely exchanged any words besides the usual head nods or when he came to get Minsuk before going home, sometimes. His son however was very friendly with you. He was often around so he hung out with you.
You shook your head to get rid of the memories and went back to watching the movie. That is what you always did. Whatever happened was in the past. You never wanted to bring it up again. Sure, you had lots of questions you wanted to ask him. Why he never came back? Why he never tried to contact you? Did he even remember you? But would those help anyone? It would only make him uncomfortable and, hurt you. He had done you wrong but that’s how life worked. You didn’t always get what you wanted.
You forced a smile on your face to stop the tears from forming and concentrated on the movie. After all being strong was all you could do.

“Job hunting at work _________. Tsk tsk,” your friend said hitting you on the back of your head.
“Aish, don’t say it out a loud. I’ll get in trouble,” you tried to shush him.
Once again, you were deeply engrossed in your job search when someone came up behind you.
“Job hunting?” he said.
“Oh Gosh I told you not to..,” you stopped half through realizing that it was a different voice. You turned around immediately to find Suho standing behind you. “Oh um.. what are you doing over here?” you asked.
“I need a favor,” he said casually.
“What?” you asked, keeping your eyes fixed on the laptop screen.
“If you’re not busy after 4 o clock could you pick up Minsuk from school and take him back home? I can’t do that since our practice will run late.”
“Why me? Isn’t anyone else free?”
“I’m afraid not. And besides Minsuk is comfortable around you. I wouldn’t have asked if it wasn’t absolutely necessary. He wasn’t feeling very well this morning so I’m really worried about him.”
You thought for a while before finally nodding your head.
“Gomawo,” he thanked you and left. Your thoughts kept poking you that he was just using you but your heart told you that it was the right thing to do. Not for Suho but for Minsuk. You’d grown attached to the little kid ever since his mother died. He had completely lost it but you helped him through it by staying by his side.
**************************************************
“Why didn’t Appa come today?” Minsuk asked as you both walked to the corner of the street hand in hand.
“Appa had some work to do today,” you said and began looking for a taxi.
**Aaaaachoo** - Minsuk sneezed.
“Are you still not feeling well?” you asked.
“Aniyo,” he shook his head. You realized that his hands were warmer than usual too.
“When we go back home, you’re going to rest okay?” you instructed.
“Okay,” he said bobbling his head. “But you have to make me my favorite soup.”
“Fine,” you said picking him up and planting a kiss on his cheek.
“Aish, why do you do that?” he asked making a face. “Appa does the same thing, every morning.”
“You don’t like it?” you asked. He shook his head with a mischievous smile. You planted another kiss on his cheek.
“Aaaaan,” he whined.
“I can’t help it Minsuk,” you said tickling him. The sweet noise of his laughter made you more than happy. You didn’t quite know why so but you were glad that you felt that way.
***************************************
“Alright, now go hurry up and change. I’ll get your soup ready okay?” you said pushing him into the bathroom.
It took you more time than it usually did to make soup. You didn’t know where each ingredient was and more than half weren’t even there. There was next to no food in the fridge. You were surprised as to how the two lived. The living room wasn’t the cleanest place either. Papers, old mails, magazines, even some cloths were scattered around all over the place.
“The soup’s ready,” you announced walking into the room. Minsuk had tucked himself in bed and was watching TV. He clapped his hands with joy smelling the food. You fed him one spoon at a time. His eyes didn’t leave yours for even a second.
“Is there something you want to say?” you asked him. He shook his head and opened his mouth for the next feed. When you were finally done you gave him a quick peck once again. This time he didn’t resist.
“I’m going to clean this place up a little bit okay?” you told him. He went back to watching TV.
You didn’t remember Suho being that dirty. In fact if anything, he was a very organized person. The death of his wife must have struck him pretty hard. You put all the dirty clothes in one rack and placed the clean ones in the closet. You organized the magazines and sprayed air freshener in the room. Dusted the tiny book shelf and cleaned the dinner table. It took you almost an hour to finish all of it. It was getting dark outside. You went into the room to check on Minsuk one last time. His eyes were still fixed on the TV screen.
“Minsuk honey, I think it’s time for bed.” You took the remote from his hand.
“Will you read me a bed time story?” he asked, holding your arm.
“Sure,” you said, not being able to deny his request. You were only two minutes into the story when Minsuk fell asleep. His short breathing pattern, tired expressions and soft cheeks made you want to kiss him once more but you knew he’d wake up so you controlled yourself. Instead, you ran your fingers through his hair.
“You’re still here?” Suho said, causing you to jump up in surprise.
“When did you get here?” you whispered, clenching your fist to your chest.
“Just now. You left the front door unlocked.”
“Oh, Mianhamnida,” you apologized.
“When did he fall asleep?” he asked.
“Just now,” you replied. Before he could say anything you decided to leave.
“___________, Suho called after you. It was the first time in many years he’d called you by your nickname. Your heart sank for a second. You calmed yourself and turned around half way.
“I’m sorry I put you through all of this,” he said.
“Oh no no, that’s fine. I had a good time with..”
“That’s not what I meant,” he cut you. What else could he mean then? You began to think, a little confused at his statement.
“I meant..,” he began but then trailed off. He didn’t know how what else to say. He wanted to apologize for what he had done to you but he couldn’t form the right words. In fact he hadn’t even planned to say what he had just blurted out.
“Get back home safely,” he sighed.
Well there was one thing that hadn’t changed. His inability to express himself…
You nodded and quickly left.
Minsuk shifted in bed but suddenly woke up. “Did ________, leave?” he asked
“Don’t call her by her name,” Suho said sitting beside him in bed.
“Then can I call her Umma?” he asked.
“What?” Suho’s eyes widened with surprise but were quickly replaced by anger. “Are you okay Minsuk?” he asked rather sternly. Minsuk clenched his fist and curled up hearing his father’s tone.
“Why can’t she be my umma?” he asked blinking his big brown eyes repeatedly.
“Minsuk be quiet,” Suho shook him lightly. The child couldn’t bear his father’s reaction and began crying. Suho’s heart softened and he tried to hold Minsuk once again but he shrugged his appa away and hid his face under the covers.
“Minsuk honey, why are you saying such stuff today?” Suho asked, trying to comfort him.
“Because I miss my umma,” he mumbled. A sudden tinge of pain ran through Suho’s heart. He was unable to respond. All he could do was pat his son to sleep.
************************************************
A week had passed and Minsuk hadn’t come to visit you at work at all. You hadn’t really seen Suho around either but that was nothing new to you. You were a little worried though. You wanted to go ask Suho but considering he would find it strange, you dropped the idea.
On Sunday morning of that week, you finally received a call from Minsuk.
“Can you come over and visit?” he asked you over the phone.
“But why Minsuk?” you asked.
“Ah, I don’t feel so good.” He said and then faked a cough. You panicked and immediately ran out of the house to see him.
**************************************************
You knocked on the door lightly. Suho opened the door after a long time.
“What are you doing over here?” he asked with an unpleasant face.
“Oh, umm Minsuk isn’t feeling well so I came to check on him,” you said nervously.
“Minsuk is just fine,” Suho replied.
“___________,” Minsuk called you, running out of the room. You kneeled down to great him and then pulled his cheeks.
“__________, can we talk?” Suho asked you.
“Ye,” you nodded.
“Come with me,” he said.
“Why not here?” you asked. He glared at you with a hardened expression. You let go off Minsuk’s hand and followed him into his room. He closed the door, making you even more scared. You knew whatever he was going to say was not going to be something you wanted to hear.
“Why are you trying to find excuses to come over here?” he asked you.
“Huh, what do..” you began.
“I know what you’re trying to do,” he raised his voice. “If you are going to put wrong thoughts in Minsuk’s mind than I suggest you rather not see him. I could never expect such a thing out of you.”
“What are you trying to say?” you cut him, obviously really confused.
“Do you know what Minsuk asked me the other day?” he said grabbing your arms. He completely took you by surprise. Did he still think he had some sort of power or control over you? If you weren’t mistaken, he had left you a long time ago. There was nothing between the two of you. How dare he hold you?
“He asked me if you could be his umma? I can’t believe you. Do you really think there’s still something between us? Are you trying to use my son to get to me again? I never thought so little of you _________. It’s pathetic to even think of something like this. I’m appalled by your..”
You suddenly shrugged yourself away from his grip. This is what he thought of you after all he had put you through. He didn’t even care about what he had done. Sure, many years had passed to that thing. He probably didn’t even remember the details since he’d moved on but what about you? You still remembered each and every detail. And now he was blaming you for coaxing his son. How could he? You didn’t even have words to defend yourself. Tears began gushing out of your eyes. You’d held them back long enough but that day it felt like Suho had pierced your heart. All this time that you hadn’t asked him for any explanations were just a waste. He could care less about how you felt. You were a fool to think that deep down he may feel a little bit guilty but that day he showed you that he didn’t. To him, the relationship he had with you was not real. How could it be? The two of you were merely, high school students, young lost and in love.
That day, for the first time, you lifted your head and looked Suho straight in the eyes. You couldn’t see pass them. You didn’t know what he was thinking. You wiped your tears and turned around to leave. Opening the door, you stopped and fixed a smile on your face so as to not upset Minsuk.
“I never meant for any of this to happen,” you mumbled and quickly opened the door. Suho stood their watchingyou, hug Minsuk and pat his head.
“Will you come back tomorrow?” he asked. You pulled a smile and shook your head.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because I have work. But I promise I’ll send some chocolates for you okay?” you said. The next second, Minsuk hugged you tightly and then kissed you on the cheek. You kissed him back and then ran out the door. There was no point in staying there. Suho had made it pretty clear.
“Did you call her here?” Suho asked Minsuk. He nodded his head but kept his eyes fixed to the ground. For the past few days Minsuk hadn’t talked to his father much.
“Why?” Suho asked.
“Because I wanted her to see you so the two of you could fall in love and then she can become my umma.” Suho didn’t even know how to respond. His son’s thoughts were so innocent and pure.
“Did _________ ever say something about this to you?” he asked. The child shook his head. “Then how did you come up with such a thing?” Suho asked.
“Because I know she likes you. She is always scared of looking at you.” Suho’s jaw dropped in surprise. Was his son really seven years old? How could he see things Suho never could.
“I want umma,” Minsuk said hugging his appa. The child’s words had moved Suho so much that even he began to cry. A little part of him regretted for yelling at you and the other part wept for making his son’s life miserable. ‘How could I be so selfish?’- he thought to himself. ‘I was thinking about only myself this whole time.’
**************************************************
You decided not to go to work for the next few days. You had to get your resignation letter ready. You had thought a lot the before finally making that decision. It was better for both you and Suho that you left. That way, you won’t hurt yourself and Suho wouldn’t be uncomfortable. Besides you’d been longing for a change and Suho just made it easier for you to make that decision.
You heard a knock on your front door. You looked at your clock. It was almost 9 o clock. Who would visit you at that hour on a working night?
You walked to the door and slowly opened it. Your face hardened upon seeing Suho stand on the other end. You stared at him for a long time.
“Can I come in?” he asked. You moved aside so he could enter. The two of you walked into the living room. He glanced at the resignation letter that lay on the coffee table.
“So you really are leaving?” he asked, sitting next to you on the couch.
You nodded, clenching your hands nervously. You hated the fact that he was the only one in the entire world who could make you feel that way. You’d never let another person into your heart like that.
“_________,” he began. “I’m sorry about what I said the other day.”
“It’s okay you don’t have to,” you said getting up. He held your hand pulling you to sit down again.
“No let me say this. That day I got mad at you because I was mad at myself. I’ve been mad at myself ever since I saw you again. I hate myself for what I did to you. You probably think I don’t remember anything but I do. Each and everything and it hurts me. I was stupid for doing what I did to you. I got too caught up in my fame. It’s like the company changed me. I didn’t feel the need to contact you because I became arrogant. And now I see you hiding yourself from me, never making eye contact as if you’ve done something wrong. That should be me not you ______________. I’m the one who should be guilty here. That day when Minsuk said he wanted you to be his mother, it made me angry. I was mad because I had done you injustice. Minsuk reminded me of that. I wanted you to go away so I wouldn’t have to think about it but how stupid was I. I didn’t even care about your feelings and blamed you for everything. I am so sorry. I know my words don’t make sense and it’s because I’m a mess. I don’t have anybody in my life besides Minsuk. I feel so lonely and worn out. I need someone. Minsuk needs someone…” He stopped upon hearing your soft sniffles. He had no idea when you had started crying. It hurt him even more. He knew he didn’t deserve you. You were far too good for him and yet there he was begging you to forgive him.
He held your hand and then pulled you into a side hug.
“I want you to take care of Minsuk ….and ….me,” he whispered. “I know you still have feelings for me.”
“What about you Suho? Do you have feelings for me? Or are you only saying this because you want Minsuk to be happy?” you asked pulling away. You had never demanded answers for all the questions you had for him but that day you wanted to know.
“I loved my wife a lot..,” he said. “But .. that doesn’t change the fact that you were the first person I loved.” He held your hands once again. “I promise to take care of you __________. I’ll never make you feel unloved ever again.”
You were surprised as to how quickly your heart forgave him. That little part of you that hated him was slowly fading away. You felt pathetic for giving in so easily. But was it really your fault for loving him so much? Love had no boundaries. Suho slipped his hands behind your waist, forcing you to turn around and then embraced you.
“I’m still waiting _________,” he whispered desperately.
“Ye,” you whispered back and buried your face into his chest. He ran his hands on your back to comfort you.
“I promise you, you won’t regret this. You’ll never be hurt again,” he said kissing you on your temple. You tightened your grip on him letting him know that you were ready to trust him again.

Wowowowoow this is not how planned this scenario to turn out at all. BUT I’m pretty satisfied with it. I hope you all like it. AND I’m sorry for the length. I got carried away. :|

“Shinwoo ahh turn off the fan. I’m cold,” you whined under the covers. The faint sunlight escaped through the curtains and you tried every way possible to fight them back with your blanket. “Shinwoooooo!,” you cried again. “You know I’ve been sick for the past few days. Do you want me to get more sick?”
Still no response…
“Oh my.. can you not hear me?” you asked, throwing the covers off of you and turning around. There was no one in the room but you. Your eyes wandered from side to side and then followed the direction to the bathroom. The door was half open. He wasn’t in there either.
“Of course!,” you mumbled. Why were you even calling him when you knew he usually left before you woke up? You sighed and pulled the covers around you, almost hiding your face in them. You looked like an Inuit. Random thoughts crossed your mind. Just then you remembered something.
“Oh my …!,” you covered your mouth jumping out of bed. You ran around the room, shuffling and tossing everything, looking for your handbag.
“There it is,” you cried in excitement, finding it under your bed. You grabbed it immediately and pulled out the small crumbled up paper. It was your to-do list. Being the forgetful person you were, you couldn’t afford to lose stuff like that.
‘To do list
1. Call the Insurance company
2. Call Mom
3. Return the dress
4. ORGANIZE a special 1st anniversary with Shinwoo…’
Your eyes widened reading no. 4 on the list. How could you forget, forget the most important thing. That was all you thought about two weeks from then. You got caught up with a lot of stuff and you almost forgot about it. You still had time since it wasn’t until two days later.
“Calm down _________,” you told yourself, scrunching the list in your hands. A sudden wave of enthusiasm hit you and you jumped up. You were ready to plan the perfect day for him and you. Ignoring the pain in your back and your flu, you ran around the house, cleaning it from corner to corner.
****************************************************
You heard the front door open. A smile spread on your face. You couldn’t wait to tell Shinwoo about the plan for your anniversary. Heavy footsteps made their way into the room. Shinwoo stopped at the door and gave a quick glance to what you were doing.
“Hey,” he mumbled softly, proceeding to the bathroom.
“Come on! No back hugs?” you asked turning around with a mischievous smile but he was already in the bathroom. You went and stood by the bathroom door. As soon as he opened it, you jumped on his face.
“Hey so guess what day it is two days from now?” you asked excitedly.
“Monday..,” Shinwoo replied with a straight face.
“Aish,” you nudged him. “I know that too but it’s a special Monday.”
“Really? Since when did Mondays start becoming special?” he asked sitting on the bed. You followed and sat beside him.
“Oh come on, don’t pretend like you don’t remember,” you winked. The expression on his face didn’t change. You looked at him carefully for a long time but nothing. No reaction at all.
“You really don’t remember do you?” you asked, really disappointed. He shook his head apologetically.
“It’s our first anniversary…,” you trailed off so he could fill in.
“Ohhh,” Shinwoo smiled and put his arm around you. “It’s been a year already?”
“Aaa,” you elbowed him. “Yes it’s been a year and you don’t even remember that.”
“Mianhe,” he said and gave you a quick peck on the temple.
“So now will you help me plan something big for the day?” you asked.
“Something big?,” he asked widening his eyes.
“Ye,” you nodded innocently.
“Why?”
“Because … I just want too,” you said after a short pause.
“Oh come on _________. That’s so cliché.”
“No but I really want to do something special.”
“Okay, then lets watch a movie or something,” he said playing with your hair.
“Aniyooo,” you whined, releasing yourself from his half hug. You were starting to get a little irritated and your head hurt too. You hadn’t recovered from your flu yet.
“You know what. Don’t worry about it. I’ll figure something out.” You patted his chest and got up. Shinwoo settled in bed and fell asleep in less than a minute. Your anger started to diminish. He must have been really tired, you told yourself and decided to try again the next day.
*********************************************
Sunday mornings were nothing special for you. They started just like all the other days of the week. Shinwoo would leave early for his schedules even on the weekends. It bothered you but you had chosen to be with him so you had to bear all of that.
The rest of the day was spent on your tiny laptop, trying to look for good places to celebrate. Some were too expensive, others were too lame. Most were not his type and some were just not the right places for such an event.
The clock ticked 8 and the door clicked open. Shinwoo entered, took of his shoes and proceeded to the room.
“Shinwoo ahh, I have another idea,” you called after him. He stopped at the door and turned around to look at you.
“Oh I didn’t see you there,” he said.
“That’s why you need to start wearing your glasses again,” you laughed. “Anywayysss, so I spent the whole day searching for the right place and none of them seemed right.” You clapped your hands together. “So here’s the thing. How about we have a romantic dinner here.”
“Here?” he narrowed his eyebrows.
“Yeah, like in the apartment. Lets cook together and… and.. then do something special afterwards? Maybe like a walk or..”
“Ahhh _______, don’t you think you’re getting a little too carried away with this?” he threw a question at you before you could even finish.
“But it’ll be fun..,” you mumbled. You were a little scared, hearing the irritation in his voice.
“Okay do whatever you feel like,” he forced a smile on his face.
“You know a little enthusiasm would be nice to see,” you said in a barely audible voice but soon regretted it. You knew that either there was going to be no reaction or if there was going to be one, it wouldn’t be good.
“I am excited,” he said, turning around.
“Doesn’t seem like it,” you said.
“I am,” he smiled faintly and then disappeared into the room. You sighed and closed the laptop in frustration. You really hoped the next day wouldn’t be like all the other days. It would be different and special and he would actually put effort into it.
**************************************************
The fan was turned on once again that morning. You pulled the covers tightly around you, falling back into your dreamland. Then you suddenly realized that it was the big day. You threw the covers off of you and turned around. Shinwoo was there that day. He hadn’t left. He looked peaceful while sleeping but that day wasn’t one of those that you’d let him sleep. You got closer to his ear and cried, “Happy Anniversary.”
“Woahhh,” Shinwoo woke up in surprise. “Oh my God what time is it?”
“Umm 9 o clock I think,” you said, giving him a confused look.
“Oh gosh I’m late,” he jumped out of bed.
“But we have so many things to do. Where are you going?” you questioned.
“I have a small schedule today but I’ll be back soon,” he said, looking around for cloths.
“How soon?” you asked.
“Soon,” he said putting on a shirt and pulling up his pants. After coming out of the bathroom he gave you a quick peck before hurrying out the door.
You were upset. Really, really upset but you let it slip. He would come home soon and things could go as planned. Not losing hope, you got out of bed to get started. There was absolutely no time to waist.
**********************************************
Hours passed away in a breeze. You walked out of the kitchen tiredly to look at the clock.
“Oh my goodness,” you gasped in surprise. “It’s 4 o clock already.” You called Shinwoo but he didn’t pick up his phone. It wasn’t like him. He usually picked it up. You were getting anxious and annoyed. It was a mixture of two very different feelings. You were starting to get mad too. You’d had spent almost half the day setting up everything by yourself. That is not what it was supposed to be like.
You called him repeatedly. He picked it up once but then hung up immediately. After that, he turned it off so you wouldn’t disturb him.
Another hour passed away…
The door finally clicked open. You lunged towards it, with anger in your eyes.
“Where were you?” you yelled.
“I had work,” he mumbled, not intimidated at all by your aggressive behavior.
“And you couldn’t call me?” you asked.
“I said I had work,” he repeated calmly once again.
“You know what I’m done with this,” you flung your hands in frustration.
“Oh come on, we can do something now,” he said.
“Something now? When half of the day has passed. You knew I’d been planning on this for the longest time and this is what you do? You couldn’t spare one day just one day for me? I’m tired of this Shinwoo. I’m just really tired.”
“Tired of what?”
“Tired of you never making an effort.”
“What?” he scoffed.
“Yes. Don’t you see it Shinwoo? I try so hard every day to keep this relationship going and you never..”
“Waaaa waa waiittt. This relationship?? What are you trying to say?”
“See this is what I’m talking about. Are you really that oblivious to everything?” you pushed him slightly. You weren’t this mad before he came but the way he was reacting was making you more mad. You didn’t want to be since you wanted to celebrate your anniversary but things were getting out of control. “Just forget it,” you said turning around to calm yourself.
“No tell me what you mean?” he pulled you around. You looked at his clueless face for a good minute. You felt like all that you did, and had been doing wasn’t worth it anymore. He was never going to appreciate any of it. He was never going to see how much cared about him, how much you loved him. Whatever decision you made that night was only going to hurt you, not him.
“You know what Shinwoo, let’s just forget about all of this. Let’s forget that we were ever even together.”
“What?” he snapped. You freed yourself from his loose grip and walked towards the room. He followed close behind.
“So just because I didn’t come home on time you’re going to break up with me? Is that how immature you are.”
His words were burning holes in your heart. You turned around to reveal the tears in your eyes but it wasn’t like it would matter to him.
“_____________, answer me,” he demanded. You didn’t respond, but instead began stuffing your bag with cloths.
“_________,” he called again as you walked out the room. “What is going on? I don’t understand.” You stopped, turned around and whispered, “That’s the problem.” After that you didn’t wait a second and quickly left. If you stayed any longer, your heart would turn weak and hold you back. You needed to do that. For yourself and him.
Shinwoo stood dumbfounded watching you leave. He wanted to stop you but for some reason he couldn’t. It was as if he didn’t have any motivation left. Had he stopped loving you? He questioned himself. The aroma of food, you’d prepared, hit his nose. It suddenly clicked the memory of the first time he saw you. It was the same smell, in the restaurant, he’d first seen you. You were shy and got nervous when he stared at you. You’d always been like that. Sweet and submissive, trying your best not to irritate him. He was just now realizing that. You’d never given him any trouble. To be honest the more he thought about you the more he realized that the two of you may have been together for a year but there weren’t any true memories that you guys had built together. He felt guilty because he knew that it was him that was never there while you always stood by his side. But now, you were gone and he was alone.
**************************************************
“___________, wake up,” your friend shook you.
“Aaaannn,” you whined, holding your pillow tightly.
“It’s important. Wake up.”
“What is it?” you popped up. “Oh my my! It’s still dark outside. Why are you waking me up?”
“Some one’s been flashing some sort of light at our window for a while now.”
“Do you really think I’m up for all of this right now? I just cried for 4 hours straight and you want me to deal with this?” you asked, really annoyed.
“At least come and check with me. I’m really scared,” she pulled you out of bed and dragged you to the window. You pushed the curtains to the side to see who it was. There was a small figure standing in the corner of the street holding a flashlight in his hands and balloons in the other.
“I can’t see clearly,” you rubbed your eyes.
“Here take your glasses,” your friend handed them to you. You put them on but immediately jumped back in surprise. It was Shinwoo, standing outside in the freezing cold with a sleeveless shirt and balloons in his hand that said Happy Anniversary on them.
“What is he doing? He’s going to catch a cold,” you said grabbing a jacket and lunging towards the door.
*********************************************************
“Are you stupid?” you yelled from across the street. He nodded back. You ran towards him and put the jacket around him. He looked at you intently as you zipped him.
“What is this Shinwoo?” you asked.
“I figured, if the balloons didn’t work than the shirt definitely will. There is no way you could see me like this,” he said with a faint smile.
“So you were taking advantage of my kindness?” you asked. He nodded once again.
“I can’t do this anymore,” you said after a long pause. “It’s not possible.”
“It is if you give me another chance,” he replied.
“What? To get hurt again?” you asked. Tears were forming in your eyes again.
“I’m so sorry _________. I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. I don’t deserve all of this. I know I don’t but I also can’t live without you. You complete me. I got so used to being pampered by your submissiveness that I started taking advantage of it unintentionally. I didn’t know I was hurting you. I’m sorry for never putting an effort into anything but I promise I will if you let me into your heart once again I’ll change all of that. I won’t be stupid. I won’t be an idiot. I won’t be forgetful and most of all I won’t hurt you.”
This was the most he’d ever said to you. You scrutinized his face to see if he really meant it.
“Well?” he said raising his eyebrows.
“I don’t know Shinwoo,” you said shaking your head.
“I know I’m not good with apologies but let me show you something,” he said pulling you towards the street. He stopped a cab and motioned you to get in.
“Where are you taking me?” you asked.
“Just get in. I promise you won’t regret this,” he insisted.
*******************************************************
The cab stopped near a lake. Shinwoo grabbed your hand and walked you to the little wooden bridge. In front of it stood a small Yacht .
“What is this?” you asked, a little surprised on the inside.
“I prepared this for our anniversary. I know its way past midnight but I want you to know that I love you. No matter what day of the year it is, I’ll always love you.”
“Whaaa,” you gasped in surprise. Had he really done all of this just for you. It was a lot coming from a person like him. “What…. I .. don’t have words,” you covered your mouth with your hands.
“From this day onwards, let celebrate our anniversary on a year and a day after our anniversary,” he said, hoping you would say yes and forgive him. How could you not. You loved him, he’d apologized, there was no reason not to.
You nodded, resting your head on his chest as the two of you walked towards the amazing treat he’d set for you. It was going to be a good anniversary after all.

So I’m finally done with this. It took me a long time to write since I kept getting distracted. Forgive me if it’s bad! :(

“She’s coming, she’s coming,” Gongchan yelled waving his hands frantically.
“Aigoo,” Sandeul cried running towards the window.
“What are you…,” Baro said entering the room but as soon as he saw Sandeul running towards the window he knew exactly what was going on. “Oh my, is she here?” he cried in excitement too and lunged towards the two boys.
“Get out of my way,” he yelled, pushing Sandeul and Gongchan to the corner.
“Huh! What the..” Sandeul got back up and pushed Baro. The three boys slammed their faces on the window, each wanting to get as much space as possible.
“Why are you guys looking at her? I was the one who saw her first,” Sandeul whined.
“Does it matter? Girls dig me.. she will totally go out with me,” Baro replied, rolling his eyes.
“And you, why are you looking at her. You don’t even like her,” Sandeul hit Gongchan on the head.
“Aish, hyunggg,” Gongchan pouted and stepped away from the window.
Just then Jinyoung stepped into the room. Seeing the guys standing by the window, he knew exactly what was going on. Every day at five o clock Baro and Sandeul fought for that spot just so they could see you walk by. Sandeul was the first one who had spotted you out of the crowed of hundreds.
It was a normal day at practice but the boys were out of their minds. Sandeul casually walked up to the window to gaze at the crowd on the street. That’s when he saw a glimpse of you walking by. He didn’t take enough notice until a week later he saw you walk by again. You seemed to be very happy that day. It made him curious, being the nosy person he was. Your mysterious appearance made him want to know more about you. He soon discovered that you passed that way to go, where ever you went, every day.
Jinyoung quietly walked up to the window, signaling Gongchan to not say anything. He placed his hand on the boys’ head and banged them together.
“Aaaaaiiiiii,” both cried, rubbing their temple.
“What’d you do that for?” Sandeul asked, glaring at Jinyoung.
“You guys don’t act like idols at all. Look at yourselves.”
“What’s wrong with it?” Sandeul asked.
“You’re running after someone you don’t know anything about. What if she is different from what you imagine her to be like?”
“She isn’t,” he snapped back.
“Okay, then how about you go tell her how you feel about her. I’d like to see how she would react.”
“Whaaa.. aniyo,” he pouted, folding his arms.
“Okay then I’ll do it,” Baro said advancing towards the door.
“Aishhhhh,” Sandeul ran after him and pulled his sleeve. “She’s mine.”
“Not if I tell her I like her, first.”
“You wouldn’t do that,” Sandeul grind his teeth.
“Watch me,” Baro teased him.
“Barooo,” Jinyoung yelled, shooting one of his glares at him.
“Hyung..” Baro began.
“Stop it both of you. Look at yourselves. Girls should be running after you, not you running after them. Don’t spoil your image.”
“But I really like her,” Sandeul mumbled.
“I don’t want to hear anything about it. Let’s get back to practice.” Jinyoung announced. The room fell silent immediately. The boys obliged to the leader’s order and stood in straight line to start practicing again.
***********************************************************
Sandeul couldn’t sleep. He shifted in bed many times in frustration. Finally, he decided to leave the room. Thoughts about you were revolving around his head. He didn’t care about Jinyoung said. He really liked you and he wanted you to know that.
“Can’t sleep,” Jinyoung whispered, coming out of the room.
“Ah hyung, go to sleep. I’ll be back in a minute.” Sandeul said. He turned around and fixed his at the clear sky.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing..” he replied.
“Is it still about her?”
“Aniyooo.. its not about her. I’m just thinking about our comeback.”
“Really Sandeul? You’ll lie to me about this?” Jinyoung raised his eyebrows.
“You wouldn’t approve of it anyways so what’s the point,” he said half heartedly and looked away.
“I would love to say encouraging words but I don’t think this will go anywhere. You’re thinking emotionally instead of logically,” Jinyoung said with a serious tone. He really did want to help Sandeul.
“I’ve felt this emotion because of her so obviously I’ll think about it emotionally. Is it wrong to like somebody? Just because I’m a guy I’m not allowed to express my feelings?”
“That’s not what I’m saying,” Jinyoung defended his stance. He thought for a moment about what to say. “What if she is already with someone else?” he proposed.
“Then.. I’ll leave her alone and move on.”
“Is it that easy for you to say?” he asked.
“Yes,” Sandeul said, contradicting the feelings in his heart. He’d grown attached to you. Even though he had never talked to you, there was something about you that attracted him. It frustrated him just as much because deep down they were killing him. He didn’t show it to the other members but it was a lot more serious.
“Okay, do whatever you think is right,” Jinyoung took a deep breath and patted Sandeul’s shoulder. “We will always support you.”
“Gomawo,” Sandeul replied with a forced smile.
**************************************************************
Sandeul stood in the corner of the street waiting for you to walk by. His watch ticked five and his heart began racing. The thought of seeing you up close, made him nervous. Only a few seconds later, he saw your figure, making its way through the crowd. He lifted his hand, signaling the little boy to do what he was told.
“Nooooonnnnaaaaaaaa,” the young child cried running through the pool of people. “Nooonnaaaa,” he repeated once again. You turned around to see what was happening only to be surprised by a young figure standing close to you, holding an orange balloon in his hand.
“Are you looking for someone?” you asked, calming yourself. He nodded with his big beautiful eyes and a cheeky smile. He offered the balloon to you.
“Huh?” you pointed to yourself asking him if it was for you. He nodded his head once again.
“Awwww so cute,” you said running your fingers through his hair and patting his head. “Who gave this to you?”
The boy turned around and pointed to the corner of the street. Sandeul who’d been watching the whole episode, jumped back immediately.
“Who?” you asked, moving your head up and down to see.
“He was over there,” the child said, also looking confused.
“Who was it?” you asked. He shrugged his shoulders in response and before you could ask another question, he ran off.
“Waitttt,” you called after him but all to no avail. The child was long gone. You sighed and looked at the balloon. The thought of someone sending you a balloon, out of all the things in the world, tickled you. You scrutinized it for a good minute and just as you were about to walk, you saw a little note hanging near the end of the string. ‘Meet me at Han river at 9 o clock..’ – it read.
“Whaa,” you gasped, a little freaked out. ‘Who could it be? ‘You kept thinking to yourself. The last time you’d received something like that was … never. It flattered you but at the same time you were a little scared. Nevertheless, you decided to go see what was in store for you.
*****************************************************
Sandeul sat on the bench, turning around every 20 seconds to see if you were coming. It was a little chilly but he was far too occupied with other thoughts to even worry about his shaking legs. At the point he didn’t even know if it was because of nervousness or the wind.
“9:02, oh my God where is she??” he cried looking up at the sky. “You know what I should just give up and go. She won’t come. What was I thinking? WHAT WAS I THINKING?”
Passerby gave strange looks, watching him talk to himself. “Are you okay?” – a few asked but he ignored their concerns. His mind was only focused on you at the moment.
You walked, with your hands tucked in your pocket, through the park. You weren’t as nervous as you were earlier that day. In fact you were more curious. As you approached the Han river, you saw a nervous figure pacing back and forth near the bench. It amused you looking at him, talk to himself, occasionally smacking his forehead.
‘Could he be the guy?’ you thought to yourself. He seemed very playful, quite the opposite of you. You walked close to him, but instead of saying something, you decided to just stand there and wait for him to turn around.
“Aaigoo,” Sandeul sighed and turned around. “Huh,” he gasped, finding you standing right behind him.
“So you’re the balloon boy?” you asked cutely. Sandeul seemed to be tongue tied.
“Aaa, no.. I mean ye..,” he stuttered. You giggled and shyly looked away to help him overcome his condition.
“I’m sorry,” he finally uttered, scratching the back of his head.
“For what?” you asked, still not looking at him. Sandeul didn’t respond. Instead he breathed heavily to calm himself.
“For all of this,” he finally said. “I didn’t mean to freak you out but … I just wanted you to know that.. I mean I just want you to.. uhh.. I just..” he shook his head. You looked at him for a brief second and gave him a smile.
“You know what screw all of this,” he threw his hands in the air. “Would you like to go out with me sometime?”
“Whaa,” you gasped at the direct question.
“Ye,” he nodded. His expression hardened and he looked at you seriously. “I’m sorry if this didn’t come out right but I really would like to go out with you sometime. I want to ..”
“Know me?” you asked, finishing for him. He looked at you intently until a smile broke on his face. It was contagious. You were smiling too.
“So is that a yes?” he asked. All his nervousness was gone. He seemed much more still and relaxed.
“Ye,” you mumbled not being able to resist yourself. You had second thoughts instantly, but your heart pushed them away. If it was meant to be, it was going to happen. After all , you don’t find balloon boys very often ;)

Warning: It’s a little sad
You stood outside Super Junior’s dorm waiting for someone to open the door. Even though they lived in two separate dorms, they were all going to be in the one on the 12th floor that night. Eunhyuk had decided to throw a big party for no apparent reason. The elevator opened and two girls came out. They came and stood beside you in front of their dorm. You’d never seen them before.
“Hi,” you greeted waving your hand.
“Hello,” they replied awkwardly. It seemed like it was their first time. They seemed very shy.
“Is this your first time coming to Suju’s dorm?” you asked.
“Ahhh ye,” the girls replied.
“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine,” you said reassuringly. Soon the elevator opened and a lot more people came off this time. You didn’t know any of them either. You were beginning to think, you weren’t standing in front of the right dorm. Just then, the door opened and Donghae appeared with a big cheeky smile on his face.
“Anyeong,” he waved his hand and moved aside to let everybody enter. You stood on the side and let people go in before you. You went in last.
“Who are all these people?” you asked Donghae with an amused expression.
“That’s what I’m thinking. This was all Eunhyuk and Kangin hyung’s idea,” he made a face.
“Are they all here?” you asked.
“Ah, ye they’re getting ready. Kyuhyun is in my room though,” he said as you began to walk. You turned around and squint your eyes at him. “Thanks for the info,” You saluted him.
“My pleasure,” he winked at you before disappearing into the crowd of unknown people. You tried to hold yourself from smiling. Not only Donghae but all the other members, always teased you with kyuhyun’s name. You knew, he knew, they all knew, you two liked each other but neither of you were willing to take the first step to make it official. You guys liked it just the way it was.
“Oppa,” you poked your head inside his room.
“_________ah, how do you always get here early,” Kyuhyun turned around and asked you making a face.
“You want me to leave?” you pouted, folding your arms.
“Aniyo,” he said walking towards you. Water dripped from his wet hair on the carpet. Thankfully he was wearing an undershirt otherwise you’d be blushing like a tomato and it would only give him another chance to make fun of you. He stopped inches away from you with a faint smile on his face. You tried to hide your nervousness by turning your face sideways.
“Stop blushing,” he said. You quickly touched your face in surprise. “And iron my shirt for me,” he finished. You rolled your eyes and took the shirt from him.
“What was that?” he held your wrist to stop you from turning around.
“What was what?” you asked.
“That eye roll?” he asked leaning in closer.
“The guests are all here,” Sungmin said poking his head inside the room.
“Ah oh Ye we are coming,” you replied extremely embarrassed. Kyuhyun didn’t change his position for once. He stood there watching you get nervous.
“Let me go, Sungmin oppa is watching,” you whispered.
“No he isn’t. He’s gone,” Kyuhyun replied as a cocky smile spread on his face. You shrugged yourself out of his grip.
“I’ll get your shirt in a minute,” you said running out of the room. Kyuhyun chuckled and shook his head. He loved it when he made you all jumpy and shaken. Even though you had known each other for almost three years, it never changed with you. Both you and him had made it pretty apparent that you liked each other but neither of you wanted to take that unannounced relationship to the next level. His unspoken words and your silent actions were more than enough for the both of you.
****************************************************
You moved from one corner to the other during the party, looking for someone you knew, besides the boys. Your eyes fell on Esther, Siwon’s girlfriend, and you lunged towards her.
“Oh Gosh! Finally someone I know,” you said standing beside you.
“I was wondering the same thing. Who are all these people?” she said while giggling. “Was it Eunhyuk oppa’s idea again?”
You nodded your head and patted her back.
“Siwon oppa is not even here,” You said.
“Ah ye, but since they invited me, I felt bad and decided to come.”
“Aww Esther. That’s so sweet. I wish I was more patient like you. I don’t know how you put with him. You barley see him throughout the year. Isn’t it hard on you?”
“It was,” she sighed, “But I got over it. I love him so I have to put up with it. I know for sure that one day things will change.”
“I envy you for having so much patience,” you said.
“What about you yourself? You have a lot of patience too,” she tapped your shoulder.
“What do you mean?” you asked.
“Oh please _________. It’s been three years and you’re still waiting for him to make a move,” she said pointing towards Kyuhyun.
“Aish,” you pushed her lightly.
“Don’t deny it,” she nudged you.
“I like it just the way it is,” you said.
“Even when he’s busy laughing and talking to other girls?” she asked. You looked up to where Kyuhyun was standing. He really was having a good time.
“Of course,” you said calmly. There was nothing to be scared or insecure about. You’d seen love in his eyes for yourself. You were oblivious to many things but there was one thing you were sure of and that was that Kyuhyun loved you just as much as you loved him.
“I’m going to get some fresh air. This party is boring,” you said to Esther.
“Okay see you around,” she said pouring another drink for herself.
********************************************************
It was neither too chilly nor too warm. The weather was just about perfect that night. You sipped on your apple juice, staring at the stars in the clear sky.
“Bored?” a voice said from behind. A smile made its way to your face. You knew exactly who it was. Kyuhyun came and stood beside you.
“Still stuck on apple juice?” he asked you.
“What? How’d you know?” you asked in surprise. He shook his head with a slight smirk on his face.
“Try this,” he brought his wine glass closer to your face.
“Aniyo,” you shook your head. “I don’t want to end up drinking like you all the time.”
“Its wine silly,” he said and pressed the glass to your lips. You had no choice but to let it in you.
“There! Happy?” you asked.
“Ye,” he said and took a deep breath. “So why are you out here?”
“I needed some fresh air? What about you?” you asked.
“ I saw you coming out here that’s why,” he replied. You liked how straightforward he was. There was nothing you could say to that so you remained silent and continued to look at the stars.
“They look beautiful don’t they?” he said after a while.
“Ye,” you said nodding your head. Both you and him were lost in the moment completely blocking the noise from the party. It felt good. You felt Kyuhyun’s hand slowly slide over yours. You turned your head slightly to look at him. He was still looking at the sky as if nothing had happened. Then as soon as you looked away, he pulled you towards him, connecting his soft lips to yours. In your heart you knew it was coming but you were still a little surprised. Nevertheless you kissed him back. He slid his hand behind your back while you, around his neck. Both you and him had waited long enough. It was finally over and it seemed beautiful. You were almost out of breath when he pulled away.
“Mianhe,” he said running his hand through his hair, shyly. You didn’t say anything except to smile at him. There was nothing you could say. It was all so perfect. The butterflies in your stomach, the goosebumps on your arm, the slightly pink cheeks and shaking hands; you liked it all. You’d been waiting to feel those emotions for the longest time.
*************************************************************
Two weeks had passed away and you had no idea where your relationship with Kyuhyun stood. He hadn’t contacted you ever since he kissed you on the night of the party. You didn’t want to text him and sound desperate but you also wanted to know what was going on. After a lot of thinking you decided to go to his dorm. You’d known each other long enough to ask straight up. You had every right to ask him after all.
**************************************************************
“Oh hey __________,” Eunhyuk said opening the door just as you were about to knock on it.
“Wow,” you chuckled. “Where are ya’ll going?”
“I have a schedule but the others are going somewhere else.”
“Oh and ..”
“Kyuhyun’s still inside. He isn’t going anywhere,” Sungmin said winking at you.
“Aish,” you hit him lightly.
The boys left, leaving you alone in the apartment. You slowly walked to Kyuhyun’s room, preparing your speech. “Oppa,” you said stepping inside. He was in the bathroom. You made yourself comfortable on the couch.
“Oh you’re here?” Kyuhyun asked coming out.
“Ye,” you mumbled, not making eye contact. You wanted to say something but starting off with that topic would be awkward.
“Is there something you want to say?” Kyuhyun asked sitting down on the edge of the bed.
“Ah, aniyo,” you shook your head.
“Come on _________. Don’t play with me,” he said throwing a small object at you.
“I don’t know how to say this,” you got up and turned away from him. “I’m just so …confused. I just want to know where..” You felt two hand on each of your shoulder. Kyuhyun turned you to face him and then slowly walked you to the wall behind you.
“Our relationship stands?” he asked, finishing your thoughts for you. Your eyes widened with surprise.
“How’d you…?”
“Shhhh,” he put his finger on your lips. He leaned in and kissed you on your forehead. “I love you _______.”
You felt your heart sink. It sounded so much better than how you’d imagined it in your head to be like. You looked away as he cupped your face in his hands. You knew he was still looking at you.
“Well?” he said. You looked back at him with questioning eyes.
“You love me too right?” he asked innocently. You began to laugh nervously.
“Of course I do,” you hit his chest lightly. He pulled you into a hug immediately. You felt his soft lips on your neck, then your cheeks and finally your eyes as you closed them. He unbuttoned you slowly and then took off his own shirt.
“Do you want this?” he asked. You looked at him for a while then finally nodded. The next second, you were off the ground and in his hands. He carried you to the bed and then slid his slender body on top of yours.
********************************************************
You stood outside the hospital still shocked at the news you’d received from your doctor. You were happy, very happy but deep inside you were a little scared of what Kyuhyun was going to say. Would he be just as happy as you upon hearing the news of becoming a father soon. You’d asked the doctor repeatedly if it was really true and every time he’d nodded back saying that it was. It was true after all. A little part of Kyuhyun was now inside you. You placed your hand on your stomach and smiled. You decided to call Kyuhyun and give him the news.
“Where are you?” you asked.
“Just got done with a schedule.”
“Can you come to Asan Medical Center?” You asked.
“Huh Oh My God what happened?” Kyuhyun asked almost panicking.
“Nothing, I’m fine. I just want to tell you something.”
“Oh God. You scared me. ..Umm we just meet back at your apartment?” he asked.
“No, I want you to come here,” you insisted.
“But I’m really tired right now. I want to rest.”
“Oppaaaaa,” you whined.
“Okay, okay. Just give me 20 minutes and I’ll be there,” he said.
You were happy now. The little doubt you had in your heart was slowly fading away. You knew he wasn’t going to be mad. How could he be? Time wasn’t passing by fast enough. You’d looked at your watch almost 20 times in 5 minutes. The cars were flying by on the narrow road. You took a few steps back to keep safe. Your phone buzzed suddenly. It was Kyuhyun.
“Look up,” he said. You did as he said. He was standing on the other side of the road. He waved at you with a big smile on his face.
“Come on,” you mouthed the words waving back at him. He waited for the traffic flow to get slow so he could cross. He was half way across when more cars started coming in.
“Hurry,” you yelled excitedly. Kyuhyun looked at you and then back on the road. Both you and him didn’t see the car coming. Before you knew it, the car hit him. Your heart dropped to your stomach ad everything around you stopped. You felt something wet on your face. It was blood. Kyuhyun’s blood! Your body froze as you stared at your hands in horror. In only a few seconds your world had turned upside down. There was chaos everywhere. Worried passerby’s formed a circle around him, pushing you to the far back. Nothing made sense to you. It all seemed like a nightmare. It was too real to be a nightmare. You closed your eyes and then opened them again. It was real. All of it was real.
“Oppa!,” you whispered and collapsed on the ground and buried your face in your hands. “No, no no no!,” you repeated shaking your head. Memories of the time you first saw Kyuhyun started coming to you. He introduced himself awkwardly and then stared at you the rest of the time you were around him. You remembered the time he’d given you a slight peck on the cheek and then quickly looked away. The time he was sick so he decided to sleep in your bed. Then when you got sick, he took care of you. The time he forgot to wear his pants in a hurry to open the door only to find you standing on the other end. The time he baked a cake for your birthday but it was hard as rock. The other members made fun of him but you ate it happily. The time he punched a guy at the club who was annoying you. The time he forced you to eat ice cream in the cold. The time he got you a pet goldfish. The time you beat him at Star Craft and he didn’t talk to you for three days. And finally the time he first kissed you under the stars, the first time he told you he loved you and the first time he touched your bare body. All of it came back. You suddenly got up. You had to see him.
“Oppa!,” you cried, pushing through the pool of people. His body lay in the middle. Motion less and disfigured. The world around you began spinning and then everything blacked out.
************************************************************
Four Years Later:
“Hello Ms. _________,” the nurse greeted you as you entered the hospital.
“Hello,” you replied pushing the stroller in front of you.
“How’s Cho Jr. doing?” she asked caressing your son’s cheek.
“He’s doing great,” you replied.
You made your way to the room, you’d been coming to for the past four years, every day.
“How’s he doing?” you asked the nurse inside.
“He’s doing great!,” she replied with the same smile she always gave. You set the stroller in the corner, took your son out and carried him to his father.
“Appa,” he said stretching out his hands. You chuckled and let him sit next to his father. He played for a long time before going to sleep.
You stayed beside Kyuhyun for a long time holding his hand in yours. “I miss you,” you whispered and lifted his hand to give him a kiss. A tear fell from your eyes but you quickly wiped it away. You got up and fixed his hair then kissed him on his forehead.
“Visiting time is over _________,” the nurse said poking her head inside.
“Ah ye,” you replied wiping the tears that were forming in your eyes again. You felt a hand on your shoulder.
“Give up _________. The chances of him coming back are very little.” The nurse said. She was right. In a few days they were going to take him off of life support. You were wishing that day wouldn’t come. You were wishing for him to come back. You were wishing for a miracle. You stared at the nurse for a long time thinking about all of it. Then you finally picked up your stuff to leave.
“I still have hope,” you said and closed the door behind you.

You were sitting backstage waiting for Seungi to finish so you could go on stage for your own performance. His voice was beautiful and melted in your ears as always. You closed your eyes and let your head move with the sound of the music. Your fingers danced in the air as if playing the piano. It was only his songs that enveloped you so deeply.
“_________, you’re up next,” a backstage assistant called on you.
“Ah ye,” you said getting up and fixing your mic.
Seungi came off stage and smiled at you as you two passed by. You hated going after his performance because he was clearly had more fan following and compared to him, you were just a beginner.
Nevertheless, you put your heart and soul into your performance. The audience gave a good response and then it was time for you to get off of stage.
You walked back to your stage room, satisfied with your performance.
“Well hello there,” Seungi said as soon as you walked in.
“What are you doing here?” you asked a little surprised.
“Oh please there’s no one in here,” Seungi walked up to you and pressed his lips against yours. You immediately pulled away. “What if somebody looks at us?” You asked.
He chuckled. “No one’s here.” He kissed you again and this time you didn’t pull back.
“I want to take you out,” he said after pulling away from the sweet, long kiss.
“Take me out? .. you know that’s not possible,” you said turning around.
“I don’t want to keep it a secret anymore,” he said and held you from behind.
“But I do,” you said trailing off.
“Why?” he turned you around.
“Because I don’t want to ruin your career… and mine.”
“ I don’t care anymore. This has gone long enough. I’ve gained all the fame I could. It’s time we announce it to the public. That is if you want too.” He said raising his eyebrows in suspicion.
“ I do.. I do too but..” you didn’t know what else to say.
“Then let’s do this. Lets announce it to the world.” He insisted.
“What about the company.”
“Leave that to me,” he said pulling you towards him.
“Seungi,” you whispered his name and rested your head on his chest.
****************************************************
“Are you ready?” Seungi asked you, entering your room.
You nodded, pulling your hoodie over your head.
“Oh please take that off,” he said pulling it off. “Why are you so scared.”
“I’m scared of your fans,” you pouted.
“Don’t be,” he said. For some reason, the way he said it gave you some confidence. Without giving it a second thought, you too your hoodie off to reveal your beautiful dress.
“I’m ready.” You slipped your hands into his and smiled at him to assure him.
*******************************************************
“Here goes nothing,” Seungi said stepping into a small street market.
“Oh my,” you gasped. The last time you visited a place like that was when you were in your early teens. You saw some girls turn around, they glared, and before you knew it they came running after Seungi.
“Oh no!,” you hid behind Seungi. Cameras started flashing and the sound of cheering filled the air.
“Girls please, I appreciate all of this but I want to spend some time with my girl friend. Alone!,” Seungi said lifting his hand that was holding yours. He pulled you from behind so you could face them. The crowd gasped. Seungi walked through them; you followed close behind.
“Come on,” he whispered. To your surprise, the crowd started dissipating slowly.
“See, it was that easy.” Sure they’ll whisper and stare for a little bit but then they’ll go away.
“Don’t you feel bad? They’re mostly your fans and you’re losing them.”
“It doesn’t matter. If they’re truly my fans they should be happy for me,” he winked at you.
**********************************************************
The two of you walked through the small streets, looking at all the small shops. The kids running around their mother begging her to buy them stuff, the smell of Fried Octopus, and the colorful umbrellas the old ladies were selling, made you want to cry. All of it seemed so chaotic and yet so peaceful. It was beautiful!
“Let’s go over there,” Seungi pointed to a small café in the corner.
“Yayaya,” you celebrated excitedly and followed him in there. The smell of coffee touched your nose as soon as you entered. “Oh! This smells so good,” you squeezed Seungi’s arm. He turned around and gave you a smile. The café was fairly empty. You two took a seat near the window and ordered coffee.
“This is all so …..,” you couldn’t even think of a word to describe it. Instead you just finished your sentence with a smile. Seungi placed his hand over yours and then held it. He caressed and then lifted them to give you a quick peck.
“I am so happy we did this,” he said softly. His tone matched the calm atmosphere in the room. It almost felt like you were in a magical place.
“Here’s your coffee,” the guy said placing it in front of the two of you. You caught him looking at you. He started getting nervous and chuckled. Seungi glared at him playfully while all you could do was smile. The poor guy quickly left.
“Now I know what you meant.” Seungi pouted. You giggled and nudged him. Both you and him, sipped on your coffee, looking at each other and then shyly turning your heads. Even though you’d been going out for a while, it was the first time you’d sat across from him in a setting like this one.
“Gomawo,” you said.
“Don’t thank me yet,” he shook his head.
“Wait! There is more?” you cried in surprise.
“Ye,” he chuckled.
******************************************************
“Oh Gosh, can I open my eyes now?”
“No,” Seungi replied, putting his hands over them.
“We’ve been walking like this forever. Come on oppa,” you whined.
“Just a little bit more,” he said. “And here it is..” he took his hands off of your eyes.
“Oh my …,” you held his hand to support yourself from falling over in surprise. You could see the entire Seoul Central from the top of that cliff. It looked beautiful with its shining lights at night time.
“How did you know about this place?” you asked.
“I discovered it a long time ago. Not a lot of people know about it.”
“You’re amazing you know that right?” you said putting your arms around him.
“I do,” he said and then leaned in to kiss you.
“Do you want to go walk around Seoul Central?” he asked after pulling away. You nodded, still blushing from the unannounced kiss. Seungi held your hand as the two of you walked down the rocky cliff. You squeezed it tightly, never wanting to let go.

It had been almost five months into your training at the TS company. You worked day and night trying to get better, in hopes of getting a chance to debut. You knew you had a long journey ahead of you and you were ready to take each step, whether hard or not, towards it.
Just like all the other nights, you decided to stay after and practice more than required. You heard someone’s footsteps towards your practice room. For a minute, you got scared but you quickly over came it and got ready to face whoever it was.
“Who forgets to turn off the lights these days,” Yongguk mumbled while walking into the room. You began to explain yourself but he continued.
“Hey you! What are you doing over here? Are you part of the cleaning crew?” he shook his head and frowned. “Were you touching the trainees’ stuff?” he asked angrily walking towards you.
“Actually I am a trainee here,” you said rolling your eyes. You knew well who he was. He was a B.A.P member. The group that had just debuted.
“And you think you can roll your eyes at me?” he asked squinting his eyes. You were a bit taken aback. He didn’t even bother apologizing to you for mistaking you as a cleaning crew member.
“I didn’t mean to,” you mumbled and looked away.
“Aish, trainees these days. You guys really don’t know how to treat your sunbaes huh?” he said sternly.
“What’s with the label? Why do you keep calling me a trainee? You, yourself were one just a few months ago,“ you said out of irritation and stepped closer to him. “Don’t go overboard.”
“What? How dare you?” he said angrily. “I’ll report your behavior to the managers.”
You suddenly realized that you shouldn’t have said that. No matter what he was still more experienced than you. At the company, they took special care of such manners. You were not too argue, no matter what the idols said.
“Aaa mianhaminda,” you apologized as Yongguk turned around to leave.
“Tell that to the managers,” he said carelessly.
“Aniyo, jebal,” you said holding on to his sleeve which you also probably shouldn’t have done. He shrugged it away and walked out of the practice room. You stood there alone, in utter confusion, cursing yourself for having a big mouth and a short temper.
************************************
The next day:
You stepped into the building hesitantly. In a few moments from then, you were going to be kicked out anyways so there was no point for you to go. Nevertheless, you still went because deep inside you had hope.
Everyone greeted you like they normally would. Some smiled, others nodded. Nothing seemed to have changed. Just then you saw Yongguk walking in your directions. You started walking the opposite way. This happened several times that day and every time you got a little bit more scared. You couldn’t tell what was going on in his mind.
It was late evening once again. Trainees and idols were getting ready to leave. You packed your bags, deciding to leave early that day. Just as you were about to leave the practice room, Yongguk walked in. He came closer to you and almost pinned you to the wall.
“I spared you this time, and this one time only,” he said grinding his teeth. He knew that you were shaking with fear. He was enjoying it. “If you do something stupid like that ever again, you’ll see what I can do.”
He quickly pulled back and walked out leaving you in state of shock. You had mixed emotions. A little part of you was happy that he didn’t tell on you but you were equally scared. He was going to be around you forever. You just had to make sure you didn’t bump into him as often.
**************************************************
Months passed away and nothing changed. Every time you crossed paths with Yongguk he would glare at you, making you tremble. You wished you could speak against him but that would only cause you harm. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, the managers announced that B.A.P would have to practice in the trainee’s room since their room was under renovation.
You were dumbfounded upon hearing the news. The members walked in one by one. You hid behind one of the other trainees but Yongguk’s eyes still found you. He smirked and then looked away. You hated his ego and his attitude.
After a hard day of practicing the B.A.P members settled down. The trainees still had to practice. You were minding your own business when a comment from Yongguk came, shooting your way.
“__________, if you can’t do such a simple pelvic thrust then good luck with ever debuting.”
The entire room fell silent. People looked at Yongguk and then back at you. Some girls were envious of Yongguk actually knowing your name and others felt pity for you.
You pretended like nothing had happened even though your ears had turned red with embarrassment. You went back to practicing. Yongguk walked up to the trainers and whispered something to them.
Soon after the trainers called you. Yongguk was still standing there.
“_________, Yongguk is right. We have been noticing you. You aren’t focusing on your moves. Starting next week, the managers will weed out all the average dancers. You don’t want to be one of them. So focus or leave!”
You looked at the trainer and then back at Yongguk. As usual, he had a smirk on his face. You tried hard to keep your cool, even though deep inside you were really hurt.
“Yes Seon Saing Nim,” you nodded and went back to your position.
******************************************************
A few days passed by. Yongguk remained quiet for the most part but you knew that he watched every move that you made. You had to admit that before joining the company, you admired him a lot. You thought he was really good looking but after knowing the kind of person he was, you were very heart broken. It hurt you, the way he treated you. You wanted to confront him and ask him why but you knew it would only result in him insulting you.
It was the last day before the best dancers were to be picked out. You were giving all you had at practice. Yongguk walked in and sat in one corner of the room. His presence made you nervous. You tried hard to concentrate but nothing was working up.
“____________, here’s a thought. How about you just give up now and leave instead of humiliating yourself tomorrow. It’ll save the managers some time and you won’t embarrass yourself.”
Yongguk had hit your breaking point. You completely broke down. All the suppressed feelings you’d had inside of you came out in the forms of tears. You wiped them away which were replaced by some more. What made the situation worse was, some girls laughing from the back of the room. You couldn’t take it anymore. Without thinking, you ran out of the room towards and unknown destination.
****************************************************
“That was mean Yongguk,” Himchan hit him on the arm. “I’ve been noticing this for a long time. Why do you do this to her and her only?”
“Aish, leave me alone,” Yongguk shrugged Himchan away and turned his face towards the wall.
“What’s going on?” Himchan asked.
“Nothing,” Yongguk mumbled. He seemed to be getting pale.
“Well, clearly something is wrong. You seem really upset. Just a second ago you were having fun annoying her.”
Yongguk turned around and leaned in to Himchan. “It’s because I like her okay,” he said grinding his teeth. Himchan started to get mad too.
“Then why are you annoying her?” Are you stupid?”
“No, you don’t understand,” he said and looked away again.
“Well I don’t know what’s going on in your mind but from what I can see, you need to get past your ego issues and go find her. You’ve really hurt her.” Himchan said and left leaving the rest on Yongguk.
Yongguk sat in the practice room till everybody left. Nobody tried talking to him since he was in a deep state of thinking. Deep inside he was waiting for you to return to the practice room so he could talk to you but at the same time he was scared. He was afraid, that if he saw you, he’d pour out all of his feelings.
It was completely dark outside. Everybody was long gone. There was no way you were going to come back. Yongguk got up to leave. Just then you walked into the practice room. Seeing him there, you turned around immediately.
“_________ wait,” he called after you. You didn’t stop so he ran after you.
“Listen to me,” he said pulling you around. Your eyes were puffy from crying for hours.
“I’m sorry okay,” he apologized looking right at you. You kept your eyes fixed on the floor. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“But you did,” you mumbled. Yongguk stared at you for a long time trying to figure out what to say.
“You’re a great dancer..” he trailed off and sighed.
“You don’t have to say that,” you looked at him with anger in your eyes.
“No, I do.. I really do because you are and this whole time..” he paused. “This whole time I was .. insulting you because ..” he paused again still debating if he should confess or not. You looked up at him to see if he would ever finish his sentence.
“You know what screw this,” he said and pressed his lips against yours. For a brief second you had n idea what happened but then it didn’t seem as strange. In fact you liked it. Even though you hated him, you still liked him. You could feel him smile. It made you smile too.
When the two of you pulled away, both of you couldn’t stop smiling. Yongguk scratched the back of his head in nervousness.
“I’m sorry,” he said once again. You shook your head shyly. You couldn’t hate him. Your heart had forgiven him before you could even put any thought into the subject.
“Do you maybe… want to.. go out sometime?” he asked hesitantly. You nodded and ran out of the room. He wasn’t that bad after all..

You felt a tight grip around your hand when you woke up. Lay’s face was only inches away from yours. You noticed the wrinkles on his forehead. He seemed stressed and uncomfortable. You lifted your hand to check his forehead. It was really warm.
“Oppa..” you whispered his name. He was in deep sleep. You thought it best to not disturb him and quietly slid out of bed.
Soon after you heard something drop in the room. You ran back inside only to find Lay sitting on the bed holding his head.
“Oh Gosh.. you shouldn’t go,” you said sitting beside him.
“I have to,” he mumbled.
“You’re sick,” you said with worry.
“I’ll be fine. It’s really not that bad,” he forced a smile and squeezed your hand. “And besides, the managers and boys will be there so I’ll be fine.”
“But..”
“Trust me,” he said and gave you a peck on the cheek. You pulled him back and pressed your lips against his.
“You’ll get sick,” he warned.
“I don’t care,” you said before connecting them with his, again.
*********************************************
Lay walked close behind Kris. His vision kept blurring even when he tried hard to focus. “Luhan.. Kris..” he mouthed the words a shot of pain ran through his waist.
“Ouch,” he cried, not being able to resist the pain he’d been feeling for quite some time.
“Are you alright?” Luhan suddenly turned around and asked.
“Ye,” he replied closing his eyes.
“We are about to approach the fans. Do you think you can do it?” he asked. Lay nodded, placing his hand on his face. He wanted to give his best to the fans so he forced a smile as soon as the automatic doors slid open. The members waved their hands and bowed to the fans. Lay lifted his hand, which increased the pain. He suddenly stumbled, only to be caught by one of the managers.
The shouting and screaming and the struggling amongst the fans suddenly stopped. There was silence everywhere as they all stared at his weak body.
“Are you alright?” the manager asked.
“Ye,” he replied and took a step only to stumble again.
“Hold on, I’ll get you a wheel chair. Your body’s too warm and you seem weak.”
“No, I’m fine. I can do this,” he insisted.
“Don’t push yourself,” Kris said placing his hand on Lay’s shoulder. The silent fans started yelling ans screaming once again, in worry. The cameras started flashing. No matter how much the managers and security tried to stop them, it didn’t work.
****************************************************
You scrolled through your daily feeds on Weibo when a post with Lay’s picture popped up. The managers were holding him to help him walk. He looked weak and worn out. More worn out than earlier that morning.
“Oh no!,” you covered your mouth with your hands as a gasp escaped you. The next second, you jumped out of your seat and ran for your phone.
“Pick up, pick up, pick up,” you repeated while nervously pacing around the room. Tears were forming in your eyes.
Lay felt his phone vibrate. He tried to reach for it but the manager stopped him.
“Let me talk to her,” he whispered.
“The fans are watching,” the manager whispered sternly. The group came out of the airport with the reporters and fans running close behind. The other members seemed to be really worried. Luhan put his arm around Lay to comfort him.
“Do me a favor,” Lay whispered.
“Ye,” Luhan replied.
“Take my cell phone and text ___________. She’s called me for the 10th time. I think she found out,” Lay said in broken speech with great difficulty. Luhan nodded and slipped his hand in Lay’s pocket. He quickly took it out and turned around to escape the managers’ eyes.
‘I am fine. Don’t worry.’ – you looked at the message. It made you worry even more. You just wanted to fly there and take care of him.
You spent the entire night shifting from side to side in your bed. Lay’s image kept revolving in your head. He was always very irresponsible about his health. You took care of him like his mother. It was almost 1 am but your eyes were still wide open. You picked up your phone to try and call him one last time but before you could, your phone buzzed. It was him. Your face lit up.
“How are you? Are you feeling better? Why weren’t you picking up my call? I have been worried sick about you. I told you to..”
“__________, relax. I’m fine,” he said but his voice told the opposite. He sounded tired and sick.
“No you’re not. I keep telling you to take care of yourself but you never listen to me. Are you happy now?” you asked and began to cry.
“Please don’t cry. It’ll only make me worry more,” he said meekly. You tried to stay something but your sniffles took you.
“_________ah, Please stop crying. It hurts me to hear you cry,” he said once again. You wiped your tears and tried not to cry.
“Please be careful and come back soon.”
“I’ll see you soon.”
“And then I won’t let you go anywhere till you are fine,” you asked like a little child.
“Anything you say,” Lay replied back.
“Oppa..”
“Ye..”
“Wo ai ni,”
“Wô je ai ni” he replied and took a deep breath.

For anyone who didn’t know already, Lay was/is really sick recently.
Here’s the video:

And here’s a picture:

I don’t agree with people who think it’s a bad idea to reblog this stuff because it will only upset Lay. We as his fans deserve to see/know what happened to him. We want to be there in every moment with him. If we can’t see him in person, we should at least be given the liberty to look at the pictures/videos to see how our GeGe is doing. We [I] love him a lot and wish for his health. *Lets all pray for him*

You stood outside your office building looking at your watch repeatedly. It had been 30 minutes and Sehun still hadn't shown up. He was supposed to pick you up since your car broke down a few days ago. You didn't like calling him repeatedly and bugging him but it was getting dark. You dialed his number and waited for him to pick up. Surprisingly, he didn’t.
“Aaaa, where could he be?” you mumbled to yourself. Suddenly a car flew by you, causing your skirt to fly up in the air.
“Wooaaaa,” you cried, holding it down. It only added, to your already shivering body. The car went a little further, then stopped and reversed to where you were standing.
“__________ah, what are you doing out here at this time,” Tae Mu asked pulling down the window.
“Tae Mu, Oh my God.. when did you get back?” you asked with surprise.
“Last night,” he said, opening the door so you could sit in.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” you punched him lightly.
“Ouch, do you do this to Sehun too?” he asked and winked at you.
Just as you sat in the car Sehun’s car stopped at a little distance. Seeing you get in the car with a guy surprised him a little bit. He got out calling after you but Tae Mu had started driving by that time.
“So how are things with him?” he asked. You looked up at him and smiled shyly.
“Aaaa, I see. You really like him don’t you?”
“Of course,” you murmured.
“How long has it been with him? I think you two started going out a little before I left right?”
“Ah Ye, we did. It’s been almost six months now.”
“So do you know he is the guy? Like for sure?”
“There can’t be any other,” you replied.
“Oh wooo, this is serious business then.”
“Obviously,” you said and punched him again.
“Aaa I feel bad for him. How does he even handle you?” Tae Mu said playfully.
“Oppa!!! Do you really want to get punched again?” you whined.
“Aish aniyo,” he replied.
*******************************************************
Your pot was slightly out of its position. You smiled because you knew Sehun was inside. He always used to spare keys to enter your apartment whenever you weren’t there.
“Why are you smiling?” Tae Mu nudged you.
“Shhhhh!! Sehun is inside,” you shushed him. Both you and him tiptoed inside. You poked your head in the living room. Sehun had his head bent towards the floor in a deep state of thinking.
“Oppa!,” you said with a cheeky smile.
“_________!” Sehun called your name with a slight anger in his tone. As soon as he looked up, the frown on his face changed into a forced smile. “Oh I didn’t know you were bringing a…. friend.”
“Oh Ye,” you turned around to introduce Tae Mu to Sehun. “This is Tae Mu.”
“Hi I’m Sehun,” Sehun offered a handshake.
“Woooaa Wooa Woo ___________, you haven’t told him about us?” Tae Mu said and winked at you playfully.
“Aish,.. stop” you said and hit him.
“Aii this is the third time this night,” he held your wrist.
“I know,” you replied getting close to him.
“Aaaa, I should go.” Sehun announced seeing you two play around.
“Aniyo, you’re not going anywhere. Tae Mu is leaving and I’ll be all alone. Beside this is the first time I’m seeing you this week.”
“Ah yeah I should leave. _______ really did take too much of my time.” He said and pulled you into a hug. He had no idea how uncomfortable Sehun was getting at the moment.
“So what was that all about?” Sehun asked after Tae Mu left. He walked up to you and held you from behind.
“What?” you asked turning around to face him. “Tae Mu?” Sehun nodded and kissed you on your neck.
“He’s my friend from university.”
“Just friend?” he asked raising his eyebrows.
You giggled. “It’s funny you say that because everybody in university asked us the same question with the same expression.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean!,” you smiled cheekily and walked to the other side of the island counter top. “That if I hadn’t met you, he would have been my boyfriend.”
“Huh?” Sehun’s jaw dropped in surprise.
“Yep,” you nodded. “You know you should be take extra care of me now that he’s back. He might sweep me of my feet and you will never even know what happened.”
“Whaaa,” Sehun gasped keeping his cool. He walked up behind you once again and turned you around to face him. “But you’re mine.”
“Really?” you said sarcastically and gave him a quick peck. Then you remembered what Sehun had done earlier that day. “Waiiiiitttt a minute. You didn’t come to pick me up.”
“I did,” he defended himself.
“Really? When?” you asked and frowned.
“Right when you got into your friend’s car.”
“Then how did you get back to the apartment before me?”
“I don’t know you tell me?” he pouted.
“Oh forget it.. I’ll just make you some food.”
***************************************************
“Want me to pick you up” Sehun asked you over the phone.
“Nah, it’s alright. My boyfriend is picking me up.”
“What?”
You giggled. “I’m kidding. Tae Mu will pick me up.”
“What do you mean?” he asked sounding irritated.
“ He goes back home this way everyday so he’ll pick me up till my car gets fixed.”
“But..” Sehun sighed. “Okay. I’ll see you later.”
“Bye.”
************************************************
You had been very disturbed for a few days. Your Umma had called once again to ask you to go on the blind date she had set up for you. She was very traditional and wanted you to get married as soon as possible. You’d told her repeatedly that Sehun was the only one you could ever think of marrying. She did not approve of it since she knew his career was young and there was no way he would be ready. You knew that too and you were ready to wait but your mother won’t listen. She’d left you crying the night before with her harsh words. She told you that she was going to forget she ever had a relationship with you. How could a mother say that to her on child? You’d been devastated upon hearing that. You hadn’t seen Sehun in almost two weeks. You needed some time to think.
You heard the front door open. “Oppa is that you?” you asked from your room.
“Ye.” Sehun replied. It was the first time that you frowned hearing his voice. You didn’t want to see him at the moment because you wanted to clear your head first.
“It’s so late. Why are you here?” you asked when he entered the room. Sehun was really irritated. He feared that he was slowly losing you. He hadn’t seen you in forever and this is how you were acting seeing him. When you were with Tae Mu, you didn’t act like this then why him- he often wondered. Still, he kept calm and slid in bed beside you.
“I wanted to see you.” He said kissing you on your temple. You wanted to kiss him back but you kept back. You were still debating if you should tell him about what your mother had said. You didn’t want to put Sehun in a situation where he would have to choose between you and his career.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, looking at you intently.
“Nothing,” you sighed and rested your head on his chest. He ran his fingers through your hair until you fell asleep.
********************************************************
“Hey do you want to come over tonight? The boys are out… and I’m all alone.” Sehun asked.
“Aaa I’m not feeling very well.” You made an excuse.
“Your voice is fine.”
“Aaa.. listen I’ll talk to you later okay?” you told him and hung up but you didn’t press the button properly so Sehun was still on the phone. Somebody had knocked on your front door. It was Tae Mu.
“Oh good you’re here,” you said opening the door and hugging him.
“What’s wrong?” Tae Mu asked. As soon as Sehun heard Tae Mu’s voice he sprung up. He just couldn’t take it anymore. He’d tolerated enough, for the past few months but it was finally time that he spoke up. ‘Maybe she is cheating on me.. but how could she? I love her. She can’t do this to me.’ He had to see you. He picked up the car keys and got up. He was finally going to confront you.
*************************************************
“Why is she doing this though? I’ve never seen your mother act like that.” Tae Mu asked after you finished telling him the story.
“I don’t know Tae Mu. She has never been like this and do you know what? She keeps telling me that she doesn’t like Sehun. How can she? How can she ever say that?” you said and finally began crying.
Sehun entered your apartment and tip toed to your room.
“Have you told him about this?” Tae Mu asked you. You shook your head.
“I don’t want to. You know he’ll be hurt. I don’t want to hurt him.”
“But don’t you think he should know about this.”
“He is too sensitive. If he finds out, he’ll be devastated.”
“So you’ll just pretend like nothing’s happened?”
“Ye,” you nodded. Tae Mu pulled you into a hug. A tear fell from Sehun’s eyes but he quickly wiped it away. He had tried hard to not believe what his heart had been telling him all this time but he could see it in front of his eyes.
“__________,” he said your name, showing himself.
“Huhh,” you gasped and got up. Tae Mu walked to Sehun and placed his hand on Sehun’s shoulder. Sehun shrugged it away. Tae Mu didn’t quite understand why.
Sehun closed the door as soon as Tae Mu left.
“I can’t believe this..”
“I’m sorry I was going to tell you but I just didn’t know how to,” you said, not knowing what Sehun was talking about.
Sehun walked up to you and held you tightly. “How could you do this to me? Did you not care for once that I love you?”
“I love you too,” you replied.
“Love? Do you even know the meaning of that word?” he asked. You were confused. What did he mean?
“These type of words don’t sound nice coming out of your mouth.” He pushed you back. “Huh, I can’t believe I wasted all this time on you.”
“What are you saying? I don’t understand?” you asked.
“You don’t understand? ________ I don’t understand. If you were so unhappy then why didn’t you just say so? I would have just left you. I don’t want to force you in such a relationship and please you don’t have to worry about me. I will be fine. I can handle myself.”
“Oppa…”
Tears started coming out of Sehun’s eyes. He was really hurt.
“Just know that I had always loved you. My love was pure. Even if it’s only been six months and they probably don’t mean a thing to you but they meant a lot to me. Do you know why? Because I’d fallen for you the first time I saw you. I didn’t care when the other members and managers told me that it wasn’t right to date you. I went against their will because I knew that you were the one. You were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. _________ I just..” he stopped. He couldn’t go on anymore.
“Oppa please let me explain..” you tried but he lifted his hands to stop you.
“It’s over..” he said and turned around to leave.
“What do you mean it’s over?” you ran after him.
“Just..don’t..” he pulled you away and before you knew it, he was gone. You had fought with your mother for him all this time and all of that was for nothing. Sehun had just walked out of your life saying so many things. Some you understood, other.. you had a lot of questions about. You couldn’t even stop him because you yourself were undecided. One thing that both you and him didn’t know was that, the two of you were talking about two completely different things.
***********************************************************
One year later:
You twisted your engagement ring in your finger out of boredom. Somehow you were always the one waiting.
“Sorry I got late,” your fiancée came and sat across you.
“It’s alright,” you replied without looking at him. You had been engaged to him for over a month now but there was still this awkwardness between you and him. You had no idea that the ‘blind date’ your mother had set for you would work out this way. Time flew by but there wasn’t a single day that you hadn’t thought about Sehun. He was always on your mind. You wanted to find him and tell him that you still loved him but then what? Were things going to change? Was he going to agree to marry you? The reason you hadn’t contacted him was because you wanted him to be more successful.
“Shall we order?” he asked looking at you intently. You nodded.
You weren’t enjoying the meal just like all the other times you and your fiancée went out. You excused yourself and went to the ladies room. You stood in front of the mirror for a long time staring at your reflection. You were trying to convince your heart that you should accept the reality and just move on. It was hard. Months had passed and nothing had changed. You still needed more time. Shaking your head out of your thoughts you opened the bathroom door. Your eyes met a pair of very familiar eyes. It was Sehun. His eyes fell on yours and for a minute everything stood still. He looked different. Much skinnier and flushed out. He never wore eye liner but he had it on, that day. You looked away immediately and walked passed him.
When you settled down opposite your fiancée, you saw Sehun come and sit on a table in the corner. He was looking at you intently. It made you nervous.
“Are you okay?”
“Yea I’m fine,” you replied.
“Listen I’m going to have to leave. Something came up.”
“That’s fine,” you replied. Your fiancée got up and gave you a quick peck on the cheek before leaving. Just then Sehun got up and walked towards you. Your body shook with fear and your hands froze.
“Who is he?” he asked sitting opposite you.
“My fiancée,” you mumbled without looking at him.
“Whaa..,” Sehun gasped. “So you left Tae Mu too?”
You looked up at him in confusion.
“Huh! I should have warned him Tae Mu. If you could cheat on me then you could obviously cheat on him too. In fact I should go run after this guy and tell him too.” His bitter words ran like a sword through your heart.
“I never cheated on you,” you defended yourself.
“____________, please.” Sehun rolled his eyes and looked away.
“Is that what you were talking about that night?” you asked.
Sehun didn’t respond.
“Oppa! Answer me?” you begged.
He still didn’t respond. You took his silence as a yes. This whole time you’d been thinking that he left you was because you had failed to tell him about what your mother thought of him.
“Oppa,” you said and held his hand. He pulled it away.
“If there’s one thing that I am sure of in this world is that I love you, always have and always will.” Sehun looked at you with hurt and disappointment in his eyes.
“I could never cheat on you and you know that too. Tae Mu was just a friend.”
“Then why were you with him that night? And why did you lie to me?” he snapped.
“Because of Umma,” you replied. “She didn’t want us to be together. She wanted me to get married. She wanted me to either push you or leave you. How could I ever do that? I didn’t want to make you choose between me and your career.”
Sehun began to say something but then stopped. A sudden tinge of guilt took over him. He felt stupid. He spent a year hating you all because of a misunderstanding. And now you sat before his eyes and he still couldn’t have you. You belonged to someone else now.
“__________, I’m so sorry.” He buried his face in his hands. I didn’t know. If I knew I would have never let go off you. You knew I loved you. I would have chosen you over anything. Why did you doubt me?”
“I was scared,” you whispered, wanting to hug him.
Sehun suddenly got up, took your hand and walked you out of the restaurant.
“Leave him and come with me.” He said.
“What?” you snapped in surprise.
He nodded.
“Please..” he begged.
“I can’t do this.”
“Why?”
“It’s not right.”
“Us not being together is not right._________ I love you and I know you love me too.” He pulled you into a hug.
“Please,” he begged. You knew you wanted to be with him. That’s all you’d wished for, for so long. Being so close to him after so long, feeling his soft breath on your neck, hearing his sniffles and his strong arms around you reminded you of how much you loved him. You began to cry. Sehun ran his finger through your hair to comfort you. You tightened your embrace.
“I love you,” is all you could say.
“I love you too,” he replied and pulled away, pressing his lips against yours.

I don’t usually write scenarios like this but I hope you all like this! :) It’s pretty long so I apologize to those of you who like short scenarios. I didn’t plan on making it this long but it just somehow worked out to be like this ..O_O

You poked your head from behind the wall slightly, to see if the coast was clear. Your mathematics teacher was nowhere to be seen. You looked at your watch.
“Yes..” you celebrated. The class had already started. You could totally skip it, just like all the other days. Just then somebody smacked the back of your head.
“Ouch,” you pouted and turned around. “Luhan..”
“Are you skipping class again?” he asked watching you struggle to loosen his grip on your hand.
“Obviously,” you said and shrugging his hand away.
“No! You’re coming with me today,” he said and began dragging you.
“But you know how much I hate that class. Pleaseeeee..” you whined.
“You’ve missed way too many classes. You’ll fail the class. Do you really want that?” he said sternly.
“Of course not,” you replied with a cheeky smile.
“What do you plan to do then?”
“You’ll help me on the final won’t you?” you winked at him.
“Umm No! I will not cheat. Now come on.”
No matter how much you struggled, you knew Luhan was going to win. He was good at persuasion. You’d known him for almost two years and it didn’t take the both of long to become good friends. You guys weren’t particularly ‘close’ since you did get awkward with each other sometimes. But both you and him hung out occasionally.
************************************************
“This is the second time this week that the two of you are late. What’s wrong with you two?” said the professor seeing you two casually walk in.
“Mianhamnida,” Luhan apologized and took his seat. You followed close behind.
“Ms. _______,” the professor called on you soon after you settled down. “How about you solve problem no. 8 on the board.
“Huh! What problem no. 8?” you asked completely taken by surprise.
“Umm the one from the homework I assigned yesterday.”
“I wasn’t here yesterday.”
“So? Is that my problem?” the professor said angrily. You knew there was no point arguing. You got up and walked to the board. You obviously had no idea how to solve it so you just stood there staring at the problem.
“I don’t have all day,” he said impatiently looking at his watch.
“I don’t know how to do it,” you mumbled.
“Of course you wouldn’t since you’re always so busy doodling in your notebook,” he said snapping the stick he had in his hand. You jumped back to get out of range.
“Just go back to your seat,” he said grinding his teeth. You frowned to hide the embarrassment and walked back quickly. You made a quick eye contact with Luhan. He seemed to be upset.
“What’s wrong with you?” you asked.
“Why didn’t you do the homework?” he whispered.
“I didn’t come to class. How would have I known we had homework? .. Okay now help me solve this one.”
“Give it to me,” he snatched the notebook from you and started explaining. He looked up after a while only to find you staring at him.
“What?” he said as his cheeks blushed a light pink. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
You giggled. “The way you explain is so cute.”
Luhan chuckled nervously and shook his head. “Okay concentrate now. So if you add the square root of 25 to ..”
“Will you two love birds stop flirting,” the professor shouted from across the class.
“What?” you snapped.
“Oh no no, I was just explaining..”
“Detentionnnnnn!!,” the professor announced.
“What no,” both you and Luhan cried at the same time.
“I am sick and tired of your attitude in the class. Both of you need to learn some manners.”
“It wasn’t her fault,” Luhan said standing up. You held his hand and tried to pull him back but he shrugged it away. Both you and him knew that detention would look bad on your record if you wanted to go to the university of your choice.
“Luhan stop arguing with me.” The professor walked up to the two of you, handing two yellow slips. “This will teach both of you a lesson.”
“I’m sorry,” you whispered to Luhan
“Ken chan ayeo [it’s alright]” he mouthed the words before burying his head in his arms.
**********************************************
You’d reached the detention room way before Luhan. He came in with a sour face and sat beside you.
“Come on.. it’s our last year here. We had to experience something here,” you said trying to cheer him up.
“It’s fine,” he said pulling a smile.
“No it’s not. It’s my fault. I feel bad for getting you in trouble.”
“It’s fine. Really!,” he replied.
You really did feel bad. Luhan had such a warm personality. He always managed to cheer you up when you were upset and then there was you. You always messed things for him. Sometimes you didn’t even know why he put up with you. It’s not like the two of you were best friends or anything. When you’d first seen him in school your jaw had dropped in amazement. He was the ultimate definition of perfection but then the two of you became friends and you let your feelings subside because the last thing you wanted was to fall for your friend. That always end up in a disaster and you did not want to go down that road. For some reason, that day you felt the same way, you did the first time you saw him.
“Oh Gosh what’s wrong with me,” you mumbled.
“Hmm, you said something,” Luhan asked turning his head to you.
“Oh nothing,” you sighed and rested your head on the table.
‘I should tell her how I feel. It’s almost the last three weeks of school. I won’t see her after this at all..’ Luhan thought to himself. He’d been debating whether he should tell you, how he felt about you for the longest time. The first time he saw you, there was something different that he noticed. You seemed so shy but then he had a class with you and you were the total opposite. He’d fallen for you that very day but never had the courage to tell you. You always teased him about how all the girls ran after him. He smiled back at you but deep inside he hated it because you never took him seriously. Could a guy as popular or good looking as him not have sincere feelings for someone? He’d been your friend for way too long. It was time that he told you how he felt.
“________ah,” he nudged you.
“Hmm,” you murmured without looking up.
“I want to tell you something,” he said. He placed one of his hands on his chest to make sure his heart won’t pop out. You lifted your head to look at him.
“Um…I’ve been wanting to ..say this for a long time,” he said in broken words. He seemed really nervous. For some reason you had a slight hint of what he was going to say but you didn’t want to keep your expectations high.
“What is it?” you asked softly, and held his hand. His hands were cold but he seemed to gain more confidence upon your touch.
“Aaa.. I don’t know if we will ever see each other again after this but I just wanted to tell you that..,” he paused once again. He shook his head and closed his eyes. “I’ve liked you for a while.”
Your heart sank at the words he’d uttered.
“Whaaa,” you gasped in surprise before a smile took over your face. “Wooooo,” you made a weird sound not being able to believe what he’d said. Luhan nodded.
“Shhhhhhhhh,” the supervisor said entering the detention room. You quickly let go of Luhan’s hand and looked up front. He did the same.
Your phone buzzed. You opened the message. It was from Luhan.
‘????’
‘ :)’ – you replied.
‘So that’s a yes?’ –he texted back.
You looked up at him and smiled in approval. His face lit up and he shyly looked away. Your heart fluttered seeing his eyes shine. You didn’t know if you liked him as much as he liked you but it was enough to start off a beautiful relationship.

The front of the school looked a lot more impressive than you thought when you walked up to it. You thought an arts school would be nice, but not this nice. You were about to start going to the school and were nervous about showing any of the talents you had.
“Maybe I just won’t show anything.” You thought to yourself walking into the school. Kids were dancing everywhere and singing and rehearsing things. The school seemed very alive and everyone seemed to be enjoying it.
“Who’s that?” Sungyu asked as all the guys turned to look where he was. Sungyeol’s eyes fell on you and his mouth dropped, but he couldn’t take them away. He couldn’t even blink.
“Why is she here?” He thought.
“That must be the new girl I was assigned to show around.” SungJong remarked.
“What? Show around? What are you showing her around?” Sungyeol asked shooting an angry look at SungJong while grabbing him by his jacket collar.
“Woah, nothing I just have to show her from class to class.”
“Oh..” He let go and sat back down. He realized how much he had overreacted.
____________________________________
You walked up a set of stairs still exploring when you saw him. Sungyeol was sitting at a table with who you assumed to be his friends.
“He goes here? Did my parents know? They had to have known.” You thought as Sungyeol looked up and saw you. You swallowed hard.
“Oh no, he saw me.” You thought. “No, why should I care? We were barely allowed to talk. He knows nothing about me.” You began walking over to the table.
“Annyeonghasseyeo,” You said with a bow.
“Oh! __________.” SungJong said.
“Oh, how do you know me?” You asked nervously.
“I will be helping you find your way around the school! I’m SungJong!!” He was so cheerful, how cute.
“Nice to meet you.” All the other boys introduced themselves except Sungyeol.
“Hyung, introduce yourself.” SungJong poked him.
“Aniya, we already know each other.” You said with a smile. All the members looked at you, then Sungyeol.
“You know each other?” Hoya asked curiously.
“Yeah, our parents are friends. My family moved here because of them."
"Yeah, she basically spent the summer at our house.” He looked down and grinned.
“We never talked though.” He looked at you and saw the longing in your eyes. You had wanted to talk to him, no matter the circumstances.
“You look different though. It’s only been a few months.”
“I guess you were used to seeing me everyday.” The guys just looked at you two.
“What’s going on here?” Myungsoo asked blatantly.
“What?” You both asked.
“You guys sound like knowing each other ruined your lives!” He exclaimed.
“It might as well have.” Sungyeol said under his breath. You took a step back. Did he really think that?
“Oppa…..” You almost whimpered.
“I’M NOT YOUR OPPA!!” He stood up and was breathing heavy.
“Yah Hyung, calm down.” SungJong tried to control him. Sungyeol walked away.
“You ok? What was that about?” Hoya asked you.
“Don’t worry, he’ll tell you if he feels it’s right.”

*FLASHBACK TO THIS PAST SUMMER*
You sat across the table from Sungyeol just like everyday. Your parents conversed with one another as you both sat there silently eating your lunch. Day after day, meal after meal. Parents talked, you and him were silent. You barely knew what his voice was like. You looked at the ring on your hand and the matching one on his. How were you going to marry him if you didn’t even know his voice?
________________________________________
*NOT FLASHBACK* (<–LOL What?)
You flipped on the lights of the practice room and checked to make sure no one was watching. You had started dancing secretly when you came to school so you could still practice, but not have anyone see you. You did it every night and still no one knew a thing.
The next day your first class was music theory, having to do with reading music and playing instruments.
“________,” The teacher said your name. “would you play something for us?” You looked at her and nodded then proceeded to the piano. Sungyeol was in your class and his ears perked at the sound of your name. He was surprised to see you sit at the piano. You began playing ‘River Flows in You’ and his jaw dropped.
“Since when can she play piano?” He thought to himself. When you were done the class applauded. The room was filled with “I didn’t know she played!” and “Well, I guess everyone has their secrets.”
______________________________
Sungyeol came up behind you after class.
“BOO!”
“AHH!” You jumped when he yelled. “Yah! What was that? Give me a heart attack why don’t you!”
“Sorry, hey so I didn’t know you played the piano.”
“We don’t know a lot about each other.” You looked down shyly.
“It’s because we didn’t get to talk at all.” He was right, you two hadn’t even talked. You went to his house every day over the summer and you had countless meals with him and his family. You never talked though. Your parents and his would do all the talking and it was just you two exchanging looks.
“Oppa…..” The color drained from his face when you said that.
“________, please. Not here.” He looked at you.
“Why can’t we tell them? SungJong almost caught me with my ring the other day!!” Just as you yelled that Woohyun came up to you two.
“What ring?” You both looked at him.
“Uh, nothing……”
“No, why does it matter if SungJong would catch you with a ring? And why are you tell Sungyeol about it? _________, Sungyeol, what’s going on?” You could see how nervous Sungyeol looked. He grabbed your hand and took you into the main dining hall where everyone hung out. He jumped up on the stage in the front of the room.
“Everyone I have something to say!!!” He shouted. All the guys looked up to see their friends on the stage.
“Why are they up there?” Myungsoo asked.
“I want everyone to know the truth!” Sungyeol shouted. You looked at him. What is he doing?
“___________ and I are to be married!” Everyone was in shock.

*FLASHBACK TO THE OTHER DAY*
You sat down in the library to do research on composers for you historical music class. This stuff really did interest you and you didn’t realized that Sungyeol had come in and sat right in front of you. When you finally looked up you thought nothing of it.
“Psssst.” He whispered across the table.
“What?” You said without looking up from your book.
“Why weren’t you surprised to see me?” He cocked his head curiously. You looked up and had to think for a second.
“I guess I’m used to seeing you sitting across the table from me.” You looked at his big brown eyes and realized how true that statement was, but it was more than that. You were so extremely comfortable and used to Sungyeol.
“_________……….” You could see him hesitate at what he was going to say. He rubbed his neck.
“Sungyeol, just say it.”
“We are betrothed, right?”
“I mean…….” You coughed. “yeah.” You looked down kind of embarrassed. He placed his hand on top of yours. He looked into his eyes. “Why do I want to look into his eyes forever?” You thought to yourself.
“___________, can’t we be engaged? If we’re betrothed it means our parents made the choice. I want this to be my choice.”
“Sungyeol, what do you mean?” You tried to pull your hand away, but he grabbed it and held onto it.
“__________, I want this.”

*NOT FLASHBACK* (again)
“_________ and I are to be married!!” Everyone was shocked.
“What are you talking about?” SungJong asked.
“I mean, at first we were betrothed in an arranged marriage.” All the guys looked at you.
“________, is he telling the truth?” Hoya asked.
“Yes, he is.” You said.
“But, it’s not arranged anymore. ________,” He turned to you. “I love you.” He got down on his knee. “You already have the ring, will you marry me? Because I want to and not because our parents do?” Tears were in your eyes. You didn’t know when, but that face across the table was permanently etched in your brain. And now you were in love with him.
“Yes, Sungyeol oppa.”

“Care to dance?” A half drunk guy came up to you and asked. You were surprised as to how he’d found you. Your friend had dragged you to the club but you had especially made sure to not be seen by anyone. Out of all the beautiful girls who were almost half naked, he came and chose you. You looked him up and down. He didn’t seem like a flirt or a play boy at all. He just seemed distressed.
“Aaaa, no thank you,” you mumbled and looked away.
“Oh come onnnn,” he grabbed your hand and began dragging you.
“Excuse me,” you pulled your hand away. “Get away from me.”
He was surprised by your sudden reaction. He looked into your eyes and you into his. He was getting teary eyed. He slipped his hand out of yours slowly and walked away. You felt bad for a split second but you repressed it and quickly left.
*********************************************
You were jogging down the Central park. The weather was pleasant, not too cold neither too warm. The frequent breezes, were announcing the coming of the winter.
“Hey,…. Hey .. hold up,” someone from behind you, called repeatedly. You weren’t sure the person was calling you until he caught up with you. You stopped to look at him. A faint memory of the night at the club two weeks from then came back to you. It was that same guy who ‘d asked you to the dance.
“Oh it’s you again,” you said, rolling your eyes. He nodded and smiled nervously.
“I just wanted to say that I’m really sorry about the other day. I shouldn’t have just grabbed your hand like that. I have no..”
“Oh no you don’t have to apologize.”
“But..”
“No really, you don’t. You were half drunk so you obviously didn’t know what you were doing.” You said and looked away. His presence was making you nervous. Now that you were looking at him in day light; he was pretty good looking.
“That’s very nice of you to say that,” he said.
“I’m actually surprised as to how you even remember me,” you said.
He chuckled and scratched his head. “Aaah, well you did say I was only half drunk.”
You laughed nervously too and then both of you stood in awkward silence.
“So could I treat you to dinner some time?…aaa.. you know to make up for the …other day.”
You thought for a while but then decided to say yes. It wasn’t like you were going to lose anything.
****************************************************
6 months later:
“Hey, where are you?” you asked Kai as soon as he picked up the phone.
“Ahhh.. I’m sorry. I’m running a little late.”
“How late?” you asked.
“Umm.. Can you catch a ride with somebody else?”
“What?” you snapped.
“Yeah it’ll take me 30 more minutes.”
“But it’s freezing out here.”
“I know. I’m really sorry. I got caught up with something.”
“ Fine.” You were mad. Really mad but you had no choice. You sighed angrily and hung up on him. Kai had been acting a little weird lately. There was definitely something bothering him. You asked him repeatedly but he always changed the topic.
*****************************************************
“______________ where are you?” you heard Kai call your name from the living room.
‘Great, I left the front door unlocked again’- you thought and sighed. Your eyes were burning due to fever.
“I’m in here,” you said meekly, then a fit of coughing took you.
“Hey,” Kai poked his head inside your room. “Oh my God, what happened to you?”
“Nothing,” you pouted and turned away.
“You haven’t been answering my calls for the past two day.”
“Maybe because I was sick.”
“And you didn’t care to tell me?”
“Umm, I didn’t want to disturb you since you get busy with stuff,” you quoted his words, with a slight hint of anger.
“_____________ah, I’m really sorry for the other day.” He came and sat beside you pulling you to turn around.
“What?” you mumbled.
“Look at me,” he whined.
You turned around to look at him.
“Want me to make you something?” he asked. You shook your head.
“I’ll make some soup.” He said getting up. You held his hand to stop him.
“It’s okay. You don’t have to.”
“No! I do. I’m responsible for this condition of yours.”
Kai went into the kitchen and soon came back with a bowl of soup. He fed it to you and then ran his finger through your hair till you fell asleep. He didn’t realize that he’d been looking at you for a long time until a tear fell from his eyes onto his hand. You were right. He had been upset for the past few weeks. Even though you and him had been in a relationship for over 5 months he had just recently felt something special for you. There was a secret he’d been hiding from you for a long time. He didn’t think it was important to tell you but now that he’d started falling in love with you, it had started to bother him. The fact that he started this relationship on the basis of lies was killing him on the inside. How could he ever tell you that he only went out with you because he wanted to ‘get over’ his last girlfriend? A little part him, hated himself for doing this to you. He always questioned himself, that would he ever be able to have enough courage to tell you the truth. He knew well, that you loved him. He could see it in your eyes so breaking your heart was out of question. Sometimes he felt as if he didn’t deserve you and leaving you would be better but then the selfish side of him, wanted you to be his forever.
Hours passed away and he still couldn’t come up with anything. Finally, his selfish side lost. He knew what he had to do and he was dreading every second that was nearing to the time you were going to wake up.
You opened your eyes to Kai still sitting besides you, and you holding on to his hand tightly.
“You’re still here?” you asked getting up.
“No no, don’t get up.” he said tucking you back into bed.
“Why didn’t you wake me up? It’s so late.”
“You looked so peaceful while sleeping; I didn’t want to disturb you.”
“Oh Pssh,” you nudged him. He smiled and gave you a peck on the cheek.
“Are you feeling better?”
“Much better,” you replied.
“That’s good,” he mumbled and moved back, looking away.
“Hey Kai.”
“Hmm,”
“Is there something bothering you? Please tell me.”
You heard him take a deep breath. “Actually there is something I want to say.”
Your face lit up. After asking this question more than fifteen times, he was finally ready to answer it.
“I want to break up with you.”
“What?” you jumped out of bed in surprise.
He stood up too. He was equally surprised because he had no idea he was going to say it so directly. He had no control over his thoughts or words at the moment.
“What do you mean?” you asked.
“I don’t know.”
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
“I’m ….gonna..leave!,” he said but you blocked his way.
“I deserve an explanation.”
He looked at you and shook his head. He was teary eyed just like 6 months ago when you first met him at the club.
“Please tell me,” you said holding on to his sleeve as tears flowed out of your eyes. He held you by your arms, firmly and shook you.
“__________, the only reason I went out with you was because I wanted to get over my last relationship. That night, when I was drunk at the club was because I broke up with my girlfriend. I was just using you. Do you get it? I was just using you to get over her.”
“What..!” you whispered. You felt a heavy glump in your throat. You started to get mad, as his words sank in. He was using you this whole time…
“I hate you,” you said and pushed him. He didn’t retaliate. “I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.” You repeated burying your face in your hands.
“I’m really sorry ________,” he mumbled.
“Just go Kai..” you said. Your head hurt. You were tired and all you wanted was to sleep. Kai stood there watching you for a while but even he knew he had to leave. There was no more damage he could do. You heard his movement. He was leaving and you were never going to see him again.
“Wait..,” you called.
He turned around and stood at the door.
“Did you ever for once loved me?” you asked hesitantly. There was no response. You looked up at him. He was looking right back at you.
“I did,” he mouthed the words. He didn’t have the courage to say anything else but he knew that if he didn’t he would regret it for the rest of his life. “When we went to the mountains together. That’s when I realized that I’d fallen for you. I just didn’t want this relationship to be built on basis of lies. I love you _______ and I would never want to hurt you but I feel as if you’d be better off without me. You deserve someone who is much better than me. Someone who will love you from the beginning till the end. Believe me if I could start over with this relationship I would because.. I..” he couldn’t say it anymore. You looked away. He stood at the doorway hoping you would stop him but you didn’t even move.
He left and you were now alone..
****************************************************
6 months later:
You walked into the coffee shop and sat on the usual table. The guy behind the register looked at you and nodded, getting ready to make your usual order. This was sort of your daily ritual. Every evening you would go there after work to relax.
“Can I get you some coffee?” an unfamiliar voice said.
“I already ordered mine,” you replied without looking up.
“Well than can I sit with you?” he asked. You looked up, and Kai was standing right before your eyes, with a calm smile fixed on his face. You were surprised but you didn’t show it. He sat opposite you watching you move your head from side to side in nervousness.
“Hi, my name is Kai,” he offered you his hand. You looked at him in confusion but then suddenly you recalled what he’d told you 6 months ago. ‘Believe me if I could start over with this relationship, I would..’
“Hi my name is _________.” You said while shaking his hand. Both you and him smiled at each other quietly sipping your coffee.
Indeed, he had started it all over again..

You paced back and forth in front of B1A4’s dorm. After a lot of thinking, you finally knocked on the door. It had been five months since you’d been going out with Gongchan and this was the first time you were going to meet the other members. You were nervous even though you had been the one to suggest the idea.
“Anyeong,” Jinyoung opened the door and greeted you.
“Anyeonghasaeyo,” you bowed before entering. Sandeul and Baro came jumping into the living room and also greeted you.
“You’re much prettier than Gongchan described you.” Baro said holding your hand.
“Huh? When has he ever talked about her? Till a month ago we didn’t even know she existed.” Sandeul said hitting Baro on the head.
“Be quiet,” Jinyoung hit Sandeul on the head and then glared at him. Sandeul really did have a big mouth. You were saddened by the fact that the other members didn’t know much about you.
“Where is Gongchan?” you asked, with a barely audible voice.
“He’s in the bathroom taking a shower,” Baro replied.
“He ran in there as soon as he heard the knock on the door,” Sandeul added.
“Oh!,” you chuckled.
“Come sit down,” Jinyoung invited you. “The food will be ready shortly.”
“Shinwooooo,” Baro called and ran to the kitchen to check on him.
“So Shinwoo Si cooks?” you asked.
Jinyoung laughed. “You can call him Oppa.”
Your cheeks turned red.
“Does Gongchan not tell you about how friendly we all are?” he asked. You shook your head. Gongchan never told you anything. In fact, he barely ever talked when the two of you were together. You did all the talking. At first you liked it because you’d always wanted a good listener to be your boy friend but it was getting annoying after a while. He barely ever responded and never made an effort to talk. You saw other couples holding hands, walking in the park and you wanted to do that too but Gongchan was always awkward about it. You were ashamed to tell your friends that you guys hadn’t even had your first kiss yet. You tried to build up enough courage to confront him but since he didn’t talk that much so you didn’t feel close to him. You never knew what was going on inside his head.
“Aaa, I’ll go check on Shinwoo,” Jinyoung said, seeing you deep in your thoughts. You nodded and bit your lip.
There was no one in the living room anymore. You could hear the members arguing about how much salt to put in the soup. They seemed nice. You got up to go help them but something changed your mind and instead you walked into their room. Gongchan was still in the bathroom. The walls of the room were covered with pictures from various concerts, fansigns and tours. There was a picture of Gongchan with one of his fans. He had his arms around her. You frowned, looking at it. ‘So she gets a side hug while I don’t even get a simple touch of hands..’ There were similar pictures like that. Each one that you saw made you more and more mad. You were so engrossed into them that you didn’t notice that the water had stopped running.
The bathroom door clicked open and a half naked Gongchan came out, His back was facing you. He was looking for his cloths in the pile on the bed.
“Ahh, I’m so sorry,” you said covering your eyes.
“Huh,” he jumped around at your sudden comment and almost stopped his towel from falling.
“What are you doing in here?” he yelled.
“Oh.. I ..was…. Ahh Im so sorry,” you mumbled, not being able to look at him.
“Get out..” he whined, pointing at the door. He was so confused, he had no idea what he was saying.
You didn’t know what to do so you ran out of the room and the front door.
*******************************
“Huh! Where is _________?” Sandeul asked poking his head inside the room.
“She left..” Gongchan mumbled.
“What do you mean she left?” he asked.
“I don’t knowwww..” he replied with irritation.
“Is something wrong?” Sandeul asked rather softly this time.
“Nothing’s wrong,” he pouted and sat down on the bed. Sandeul sat beside him.
“I don’t know if I should say this but there seems to be some tension between you and __________. Is something wrong? Do you like her? Are you serious ab..?”
I do like her..” Gongchan snapped, cutting him. “I like her a lot and that’s the problem.”
“How is that a problem?” Sandeul asked.
“She makes me nervous..” he mumbled back. Sandeul wanted to laugh at what he’d just said but he knew it would only make the situation worse.
“She’s just so perfect. I don’t even know how she’s going out with me. I feel so nervous when I’m with her. I want to hold her hand and hug her and kiss her but I can’t because I know I won’t do it right and she’ll be disappointed and then she’ll just leave me.” Gongchan had never said this much. That day was the first time he’d poured out all of his feelings without having someone to force him. Little did he know that you were standing at the door listening to all of it. You’d come back to get your bag that you’d left in his room.
“What are you going to do now?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know if she’s mad at me or if this relationship is over? All I know is that I really really do like her. I just wish I had enough courage to say this to her.” Gongchan said and looked up in frustration.
“Aaii,” he gasped seeing you at the door. You didn’t look mad but you weren’t smiling either. Sandeul turned around to look in the direction Gongchan was looking at.
“Aaaa, I think I’m going to leave the two of you alone.” He said and left quickly. He pushed you inside the room and closed the door behind you. You were still trying to sink in everything Gongchan had said. You could only imagine how embarrassed he was at the moment. He wouldn’t even look at you. His ears turned a light pink color as you moved closer towards him. You sat beside him and slid your hands on top of his. He didn’t pull them away. You then leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheek. Gongchan immediately looked up and at you. His eyes had widened in surprise. You looked away shyly to tell him that it was okay to be shy. He didn’t have to be nervous.
“___________,” he mumbled your name and then pulled you into a kiss. Your first ever kiss.
“I’m sorry,” he said after pulling away. You shook your head and then rested it on his shoulder.
“So should we disturb them or not?” Baro asked the other members. All of them had been watching you guys through the tiny gap between the doors.
“No,” Jinyoung replied sternly.
“You know they are watching us right?” Gongchan whispered to you.
“Of course,” you whispered back, holding his hand tightly.
