Your Wish Is My Command

Foolish [Lay]

Requested by anon

Lay stood by the door looking at you sleep peacefully. He could tell you had cried a lot the night before but dare not show him how you felt. He wished he was brave enough to face his fears.  Vivid memories from his past always held him back and thus he gave you a disappointing answer each time. Lay walked to your side and ran his fingers on your forehead. He gave you a tender kiss on your forehead and then your cheeks. “I’m sorry,” he whispered.

**********************************************

You saw Lay stand by the pillar like usual. His train came a little before yours and so the two of you walked home together every day. There was no one day that you remained quiet but that day, you didn’t have anything to say. You knew it would hurt him but you were hurting too. You hated presenting the same question to him when you knew the answer wouldn’t change.

You felt him touch your hand. He was still debating if he should hold it or not when you looked at him. You folded your arms to ease his indecisive state.

“_______!” he mumbled your name. “Hmmm,” you responded after a while. Lay didn’t say anything. He couldn’t think of anything to say. It would be the same as usual stuff, him trying to convince you that life would still be good if the two of you didn’t have a baby.

Ever since you had started wishing to become a parent, all you could see around you were expecting mothers or happy families. You wanted to be one of them but Lay was too scared to become a father. What frustrated you more was that he never gave a rationale as to why he such a strong opinion about the subject. You were afraid it was creating rifts in your relationship. That day too, you could tell he was trying really hard to talk to you but like always, he didn’t have the right words. And the only right words you wanted to hear from him were – ‘yes’. That would make everything better.

***************************************************

The silent walk home was more unbearable for Lay than you. You settled down on your bed taking a deep breath. Lay walked into the room and sat beside you.

“I’m sorry,” he said.

“That wouldn’t change anything Lay. Let’s just forget about it. I’m going to go make us some dinner,” you said, getting up.

“No! stay,” he pulled you back. You looked at him, hoping he would say something but he still didn’t have anything to say.

“If you’re not going to say anything than just let me go. I have stuff to do for tomorrow,” you said out of frustration.

“Are you mad at me?” he asked. You were mad at him and him asking you such an obvious question was not make things any better. You wanted to yell but instead you clenched your fist to let out all of your anger without saying a word.

“I’m not mad,” you finally said. “I’m just disappointed.”

“Disappointed?” he asked.

“Disappointed that you won’t trust me.”

“I do trust you… it’s just that…”

“No! If you trusted me you would tell me why you don’t want us to start a family.”

“We are a family!”

“We are not…” you said angrily, pulling your hands out of his.

“________!” he held your hands again instantly. “Okay let me tell you why.” He calmed himself and began once again. “I am scared because I know I won’t be a good father.”

“Why?”

“Because I have seen my mother suffer my father’s torture every day. He beat her and us and called us names and was never there for us. None of us were surprised when he left one day. What if I turn out to be like that? What if I can’t take care of my kids? What if I can’t love them the way they want to be loved? I don’t know how this works. I don’t want to disappoint you or our child. I’ve lived my entire life hating my father and I am afraid my child will hate me too.”

You looked at Lay in utter confusion. He thoughts were so illogical, almost cynical. He had never shown this side of himself to you. He was always tender and warm hearted. You knew he came from a broken family but you had no idea it had left such a definite impression on him. You looked over at him. Maybe it was your love speaking for him but there was one thing you knew for sure and that was that Lay would never hurt anyone on purpose. You held his hand firmly because you now you knew exactly how to convince him.

“Do you love me?” you asked. He looked at you with confusion. What kind of a question was that?

“Of course I love you,” he said with wrinkles on his forehead.

“Do you think you could ever hurt me?” you asked another question. Lay began to say but stopped. He didn’t have answer and he knew exactly where you were going with it.

“Then how do you think would you hurt our child? What happened to you and your family is a sad reality but you and I both know it won’t repeat. Your mother was a great mother. You should trust the way she raised you. You’ve seen what your father did to you guys and that is what will teach you to be a better person than he was. Don’t demoralize yourself just because your father was a bad person. Being a parent may be a lot of responsibility but we all learn slowly. It may seem horrifying at first but you will get better at it every day. You just have to trust yourself Lay. You care so much about others how could you possibly think you would hurt me or our child?”

Lay blinked repeatedly, trying to absorb all that you had said in a mere few seconds. He wanted to hug you for being so supportive but he was embarrassed for putting you through a lot. He looked away, ashamed at his thoughts.

“Don’t do this,” you said as you tried to turn him towards you. “You know I love you and I won’t ever think of you as foolish.”

“I’m so stupid _______,” he said hugging you tightly.

“No you’re not,” you whispered back.

************************************************************

2 years later:

You glanced over at Lay and Minjun from time to time. Lay had fallen asleep holding him in his arms. You took a picture of the father and son and laughed to yourself. “And he said he couldn’t be a good father…”

He hoped you wouldn’t let go - [Lay]

‘Only she knew the pain of letting her body be embraced by the lips of a person she could never love…’

.

.

You sat in the corner of your room, tending to your latest wounds. They weren’t that deep this time and they didn’t hurt that much either. Surprisingly, he had spared your after pushing you against the night stand. Usually he wouldn’t stop. He would continue till his anger subsided.

A tinge of pain ran through your forehead. You reached for it with your trembling hands. Not a single twitch or change of expression came through. You stared at your reflection in the mirror with a poker face. If anything, you wanted to laugh at how much you had gotten used to it. You reached for the bottom drawer to take out your special makeup that you used to cover up the bruises. You were going to need a whole lot that day.

***************************************************

“Good morning,” you mumbled under your breath upon entering Exo’s practice room. They were busy practicing, so indulged in their performance that they didn’t even notice you come in. You patiently waited till they finished.

“Annyeonghaseyo,” Kris greeted bowing his head a little. He was still trying to catch his breath. The rest of the boys followed. You smiled at each one of them till your eyes met Lay’s. It hurt you to look at him but more than that, you were scared of his gaze. No one in the entire world but him could read your face. He knew the pain you went through every day. He knew how broken and weak you were from the inside and he knew that you very happily covered it with a fake smile on your lips.

“You guys need to get ready for tonight. Manager oppa said to finish practice and come downstairs,” you reported.

“Ah ye,” they replied with tired voices.

“I’ll be in the room next door if you guys need anything,” you announced before leaving.

*****************************************************

You had just gotten back into your cabinet sized room when you heard a faint knock on the door.

“Come on in,” you said. You didn’t care to look up since you were busy looking for some files.

“Hey,” you heard a familiar voice. Your head shot up right when he closed the door behind him. You looked at him and he at you and for a second you felt tongue tied. You didn’t bother telling him to leave because you had done that many times before. He never listened. He was too stubborn.

“What do you want?” you asked going back to looking for the lost item.

“What did he do this time?” he asked with a slight hint of anger in his voice. How could he possible know? -You asked yourself, touching the bruise on your forehead. You were sure you had covered it well.

“They need you downstairs. You should go,” you replied lamely.

“Don’t change the subject!” he grinded his teeth advancing towards you. The room was just the size for one person to barely fit in. With the two of you in there, there was very little space left to stand too far apart.

“I’m not changing the subject,” you said with a calm smile. You pretended to look at your watch to hide your nervousness and racing heart. “You’ll be late. Go!”

“I don’t care,” he held you close to him, his grip tightening by each second. You remained firm, making sure to not look him in the eyes. His fiery gaze only became more intense. You felt, if you stayed quite any longer, they might burn holes in your body.

“I don’t know how to say this nicely,” you finely began to say. “But this is my life Lay. You really don’t have a say in this.”

“I do,” he shook you aggressively.

“No you don’t,” you whispered back to calm his raging nerves. That’s the thing he hated about you. Even at your lowest, you never showed how you felt. Your eyes had never shed a single tear in front of him. You always had the same flat expressions which were a pure reflection of your numb feelings. It hurt him because he had never seen you smile. Every night before going to sleep he would wish that he had come in your life before ‘that s***** b******’ who made your life hell every day.  He wanted to hold you close to him; caress your pain inflicted body and tend your wounded heart. He wanted to make you feel beautiful. He wanted you to smile…

“You’re hurting me Lay,” you finally said, not being able to bear the pain any longer. He looked down to where he was holding you. His grip loosened instantly.

“I’m sorry,” he said leaning in even closer.

“It’s alright,” you replied pushing him back politely. “Now go downstairs. They must be waiting for you.”

You looked from here to there casually, still pretending to look for file which was obviously of no use. His eyes moved along with the movement of your body. If only, you looked straight into his eyes for once. You would know how much he loved you. Deep down you knew how he felt and that’s what you were scared of. You knew well of the nature of women. They seek refuge in the love that is provided to them. In his case, it was over flowing. He loved you too much but you couldn’t accept it. You were a married woman and such things didn’t suit your nature.

Once again with a disappointed face, Lay left the room.

*****************************************************

The music was too loud, the food was yucky and the room was boiling up. You paced back and forth in nervousness looking at your watch from time to time. You had begged the manager to let you go home early but instead he strictly instructed you to not leave his sight. You didn’t quite understand why he needed you around? It was a clearly a party for the boys for their recent success- you weren’t needed there at all.

“Worried about something?” you heard Lay say from behind you.

“Huh!” you jumped around clenching your heart.

“Ah… no.. Not at ..all,” you stuttered.

“Your face says the opposite,” he said in a monotone, showing that he was tired of your innocent lies. “Do you have to be home before a certain time?”

“Oh no no!” you pulled a nervous smile. “I can go home any time.”

Lay chuckled at your failed attempt to convince him. He leaned in closer, holding your hands gently. “You don’t have to lie to me __________.” His voice was tender and reassuring. “I know what you’re going through. If you would just let me help you…”

“I don’t need your help…”

“You do need my help!” he pulled you into an isolated corner and began once again. “Can’t you see? You do need my help. He doesn’t deserve you. He’s not worthy to be with you. I can free you from all the pain he gives you…”

“No!” you pushed him back. “I don’t need your help Lay. Do you understand what I’m saying?” For the first time ever you raised your voice in front of him. You were getting tired of him interfering in your life. Sure you went through a lot everyday but it was none of his business. “This is my life. He is my husband! He can do whatever to me and it should be the least of your concern.” You pushed him back. “Now let me go.” You struggled a little before he finally let you go.

You began to walk away but stopped at the corner. Your anger still hadn’t subsided. “It would be better for both of us if you stop this,” you said. Lay’s lips quivered in anger too. He wanted to hug you so you would calm down but you had made it pretty clear you didn’t want him anywhere around you.

“___________ah!” He called after you right when you stepped out of the room.

“Lay!” his manager called him from the other corner. “Where is __________ going?.. she left her phone here. Someone has been calling her for a long time.”

Lay looked at the phone and back at the manager. A shudder ran through his body thinking it might be your husband. He must be really mad at you was the first thought that crossed his mind.

“Where does she live?” Lay asked worriedly. The manager looked at him strange and took out his phone to find your address.

*******************************************************

You opened the front door hesitantly knowing that your husband would be inside. The hallway was dark which reassured you a little. That feeling went away rather quickly when the lights suddenly turned on.

“Where have you been?” he roared from the living room. You stumbled at his sudden appearance. He lunged towards you in anger. “Answer me.”

“I..was..at the party..for the company,” you quivered in fear.

“And you didn’t care to pick up your phone?”

“My..phone..!” you touched your bag. “Ahhh.. I think I lost it at the party.”

“You lost it?” he lost his temper completely. “I just got you a new one and you LOST IT AGAIN?”

Without a warning he slapped you across the face with great force causing you to fall on the ground. You didn’t even have time to get stable when he grabbed your arm to pull you up.

“Stop it!” you cried in pain. You could taste your own blood from the cut near your lip. “Please stop it. You’re hurting me.”

He clenched your wrist even tighter reopening the previous cuts. “I am so done with you,” he howled.

“Then let me go!” you yelled.

“How dare you?” his eyes widened at your bold attempt. His hand flew in the air again and within seconds you felt it against your skin which began to heat up. Tears flowed out of your eyes in pain.

“Let me go!” you cried once again. He raised his hand one more time but was interrupted by the door bell. He pushed you back on the floor and walked to the door.

A handsome young boy stood across trying to look inside the house as the door opened. “Is _______ here?” he asked.

“She is busy. What do you want?” your husband asked trying to keep his cool. He looked at Lay up and down scanning his appearance. It made Lay uncomfortable. He stood across the man he hated the most in this world.

“She left her phone at the party,” Lay said offering it to him.

“Okay thank you!” your husband replied taking it from him. Lay stood on his toes to try to see past the man but his strong built wouldn’t let him. Just when Lay turned to leave he realized something. Your husband had sweat beads on his forehead and his breathing was passive. Your sudden but meek sniffle confirmed his suspicion. Lay turned around furiously and stopped the door from closing.

“What are you doing?” the older man asked.

“Let me in,” Lay yelled.

“What do you think you’re doing,” he yelled back pushing him out the door. Lay’s eyes blazed with anger and sudden rush took him. He pushed with even more force, this time entering the house. Without wasting more time he ran towards the living room. You sat curled up in a corner, your head buried in your hands.

“__________!” he cried out. You looked up in surprise but before you could say anything your husband reached for Lay from behind.

“Watch out,” you warned. Lay turned around just in time to save himself from the attack.

“You coward!” Lay punched him in the face. “How dare you? How dare you raise your hand at her?” Thw two looked at each other in horror.

“Stop it Lay!” you yelled which only provoked him more. He didn’t stop. Your husband didn’t have time to react.

“You raise your hand at her one more time.. one more time and..” He couldn’t finish his statement. He was too furious to continue. The man on the ground finally got up and held Lay by the collar. “Who are you to interfere in our personal matter?” he punched Lay.

“Don’t hit him,” you tried to interfere but only got pushed back. The two men continued to fight. You had no choice but to call the police.

“STTTOOOPPPPP ITT!” you yelled. Both men turned to look at you. “I have the phone in my hand. I’m going to call the police.” you threatened. Your husband lunged towards you. Lay stopped him and held him by the collar.

“I’m giving you one chance… one chance to run away from here or…” he pushed him back. He stood firm for any attempt to attack. There were none. Your husband looked at you and then at Lay. He thought for a little bit before finally walking out the door.

The phone fell from your hands and you yourself stumbled. Two strong hands held you and picked you up. Lay carried you to the couch and let you sit on his lap. He cupped your face in his hands and then leaned in to kiss you. He kissed all your bruises one by one hoping to relieve you from the pain. He wiped your blood with his hands and then gave you a light peck. His tears mixed with yours. He couldn’t hold himself back. He could feel his heart hurt at your condition. You rested your head on his chest and closed your eyes. Your suffering had finally ended.

“I’m so tired Lay,” you whispered. He patted your head also running his hands through your hair.

“I love you ________,”he murmured long after. He looked at you lovingly. You had long fallen asleep clenching on to his shirt. He kissed you on your forehead hoping you would never push him away again.

Wahhhhh!! My first ‘oh so intense’ scenario. I hope you guys like it. Women’s day just passed so I thought this would be a good addition. I could go on and on and say a lot about how women should be respected but that’s not my intent here. I would say if you know anyone or are abused yourself, please speak up. Keeping it inside you won’t help and hoping that the other person will change one day is useless. Fight for your rights :)

A day with EXO [Yixing] - Submission

Submitted by Nosy anon

I would go with him to one of his rehearsals with the group and watch them practice every song (even if it’s over & over & over again because I LOVE to see him in his element). Then we would all go out to lunch where I would get to witness their quirky, hilarious & witty interactions & better yet I’d get to be a part of them. Then afterwards Yixing & I would go get dinner, would go for a walk. Then rob a bank & become the next Bonnie & Clyde. LOL! JK! after the walk we would go back home where we would cuddle up & fall asleep (since he’s so exhausted & I can’t imagine a better way to fall asleep).

I was hoping someone would submit a Yixing one! lol I think watching him practicing would be the most entertaining thing to do! *sighs*

Moving on [Lay]

Requested by anon peach

Present day:

You see her giggle over the text she had just received. You know well who it is from but you don’t care enough to make any remarks.

“Oh hey _________, I didn’t see you come in,” Su ji says raising her head.

“Ah, I just came back.”

“How was it? Did they say you have a chance?” she asks enthusiastically.

“I’m not sure. They always put on such a poker face it’s hard to tell. I’ve been waiting for my debut for so long. It’s about time they give me something..” you sigh.

“Aish, you’ll get there soon,” she says with an encouraging smile. You smile back just like always, when you look at her. Only you knew the pain of having to live life like that. Suji was a much younger trainee than you and she was soon debuting while you were still waiting for the big news. On top of that she was dating the man you once loved madly, still did and you knew in your heart that you always will.

*************************************************

Flashback:

You walked down the hall towards your practice room casually, when someone grabbed you and pulled you into a tiny room. Before you could open your mouth to scream, two hands covered your mouth. The person brought his lips close to your ear and whispered, “Don’t scream. It’s me.” The wrinkles on your forehead disappeared and a smooth smile covered your lips. You turned around slightly only to be pinned against the wall.

“How long are we going to keep it like this?” you asked. He shrugged his shoulders and brought himself a little more close to you.

“I don’t know,” he finally said and leaned in to kiss you. You looked away.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

“Nothing,” you mumbled.

“_____________, if this is still about keeping this relationship a secret than you already know my answer,” he said and turned around.

“Why can’t we tell anyone? It’s been over a year Yixing. I’m getting tired of it.”

“You know it wouldn’t be right. Neither for you nor for me. They’ll make us breakup before either one of us debuts.”

“We can figure something out later.”

“Be realistic ________,” he said a little more sternly this time.

“Are you sure that’s the only reason or is there something else?” you asked, getting a little suspicious.

“What do you mean?” he turned around, looking really hurt. You wanted to say more but you thought it better to not. You hated arguing with him.

“Nothing,” you mumbled and began to leave.

“______________,” he called after you.

“Ye,” you turned around. He came closer and held your hand. Your sixth sense told you that something bad was about to happen.

“I love you,” he said. His words made you smile. No matter how much the two of you fought over that topic, he always found a way to make you feel better. “but,” he continued, “I think we should take a break.”

“What?” you gasped. The smile escaped your face as quickly as it had come. You were confused and a little shaken. His hand began to slide away. You tried to regain the grip but it was too late. “What do you mean?” you asked.

“All of this.. there’s just too much happening right now. I think we both need some time to ourselves.”

“If this is about what I said earlier than I take all of that back. I promise to never bring it up again,” you said in sort of a desperate way. Had you known your wishes were going to lead this, you would have never uttered such words. You were regretting them more than ever.  “I’m sorry Yixing.”

“No ________, you don’t have to be sorry. What I’m saying is better for both of us.”

“But why all of a sudden?”

“Because..,” he trailed off. Both you and him stood in a deep cutting silence. You wanted answers to your questions. He was afraid because he didn’t have any. You were so deeply engulfed in your thoughts that you didn’t even realize that he had left. He left without saying anything. He left you heartbroken.

.

.

You didn’t have to wait long to find out why he had done that. Three months after your breakup, Yixing debuted under the group called Exo M. It started making sense to you. He did it because he knew the time was nearing so he had to prepare himself. Take his mind off of you and focus more on what was ahead of him.

You on the other hand were still a trainee. A year passed by in a breeze but a lot had changed. Suji had joined the company as a beginner. Yixing was better known with his stage name –Lay. You had avoided bumping into him ever since the breakup. It hurt to see him and it hurt even more when you saw him with Suji.

*************************************************************

Present day:

You sit across from Suji, swinging your leg back and forth, in a deep state of thinking. The door suddenly opens and in walks Lay.

“Why haven’t you been replying to my message,” he says.

“I was just about to,” Suji replies tucking her hair back. He leans in to give her a peck but she pushes him away and signals him to turn around. He does as she says and almost jumps back realizing that you are in the room too. Seeing you so up close, after so long brings a different sort of expression to his face. You can’t read it anymore. It’s hard to. He has distanced himself enough from you, for you to be able to tell what he is thinking.

You smile and get up to leave.

“_____________,” he calls your name. “You don’t have to go.”

‘Oh the irony’- you think to yourself and continue out the door.  If only he had said those words a year ago.

“What happened to her?” Suji asks him as soon as you leave. Lay caresses her cheek and then shakes his head. To this day he has been debating if he should tell her about the relationship he had with you.

*******************************************************************

You walked into the building with a heavy heart the next day. You didn’t quite know if it was because of seeing Lay the night before or that you were just tired of waiting for your chance to debut.  A staff member called you from the corner and signaled you to go to the office. Your heart began to race. As you took each step, you got even more nervous. All sorts of questions popped up in your head. Why would they be calling you? Are you getting rejected or do they have a good news for you?

You were asked to settle in the chair opposite, the recruitment officer. She was the one who had spotted you outside of your school four years ago.

“So we have finally made a decision for you,” she said. You didn’t know how to respond so you continued to stare at her with a blank expression.

“We have decided to debut you with [Group name] and you will be given the position of the leader.”

“Aigoo,” you blurted out but immediately covered your mouth. You couldn’t believe the words that had just come out of her mouth. She went on to tell you the names of the members but you are too absorbed in your own thoughts to take note of it. Then suddenly you heard a familiar word – ‘Suji’.

“Suji?” you repeated.

“Ah ye, she will be the maknae of the group.”

You immediately clenched your fist and felt your heart sink. Your eyes blinked repeatedly but the information still didn’t sink in. Your heart, your brain, your thoughts, all of them refused to accept it.

“____________ are you alright?” the recruiter asked.

“Huh,” you shook your head. “Ah ye.”

You left the office and slowly walked towards the practice room. As soon as you entered, you heard the girls screaming. They ran towards you and hugged you.

“I am so happy,” you heard one of them say.

“I am so glad you’ll be our leader,” Suji patted your back. “Oh my God I can’t wait to tell Lay.”

You gave her a disgusted look and immediately turned around so she wouldn’t have to witness it.

You were happy but more than that, you were sad. You knew you weren’t strong enough to have to face Suji every day. No matter how hard you tried to like her there was always a little part of you that envied her. She always got more than she deserved. You were a human after all. Throughout the past year you hadn’t allowed your heart to feel anything against her but that day was different. You hated her. You didn’t want to be around her. Little did you know for what was yet to come…

**********************************************

You slid into your bed and turned on the TV. It was the perfect way to get your mind off of whatever that had happened earlier that day.  Skipping through channels your finger automatically stopped on the one Exo M was being interviewed on. You had to admit, you had never seen any of their interviews. Lay looked marvelous. Your eyes followed every little movement of his. Even though it had been more than a year since your break up with him, nothing had changed. You still felt the same way towards him. You still wanted to be with him. If only, he knew how much it hurt you to see him with Suji.

“So Lay, you said that you had a big announcement for us today,” the MC asked him.

“Ah, ye. Indeed I do,” he nodded, joining both his hands and leaning forward. “It’s about my girlfriend.”

“Whaa,” the MC gasped. Your jaw dropped in surprise too. You couldn’t believe what you had heard.

“What’ s her name?” the MC asked, after recovering from the heavy bomb Lay had dropped on him.

“Her name is Suji. She is currently a trainee at SM but will soon be debuting.”

You didn’t notice your tears until they dropped on your arm. You shook your head and wiped them off still bewildered and broken. How could he do this to you? He was the one who always said it wasn’t a good idea to tell everyone. And now he was telling the world about it. It didn’t make sense. What was he thinking?

You felt your body collapse on the bed. You turned your head and buried it into the pillow. You wanted to scream but who would come to help? No one. There was absolutely no one…

***************************************************

Almost everyone had left after practice. You, however decided to stay after. You had spent the entire day debating if you should leave or stay. Was there any point in staying at the company if it was going to hurt you every day? You hated yourself for being so weak and not being able to move on.

You stood in the small balcony staring at the dark sky. It was going to start raining soon.

“ Congratulations,” you heard someone say from behind. You turned around, only to find Lay walk towards you. He was the last person you wanted to see at the moment.

“What? So you won’t even talk to me anymore?” he asked, nudging your elbow casually.

“I might leave,” you said after a long pause.

“What do you mean?” he asked, a little surprised. “Isn’t this you wanted ________? You had been waiting for so long. Why do you want to leave now?”

“You won’t understand,” you scoffed.

“What do you ..?” he stopped half way and scrutinized your face. “What is it ________? Come on.. you know you can tell me anything.”

“Really?” you raised your eyebrows, irritated at his casualness. How could he act so normal when he hadn’t talked to you in almost a year?

“Are you mad at me?” he asked, sensing the irritation in your voice.

“Of course I’m mad at you.” You suddenly snapped. You just couldn’t take it anymore. “Do you not dee anything? Are you blind?”

“What are you trying..”

“You’ll never get it will you? Do you even realize how much it hurts me to see you and Suji together? You are such a hypocrite Lay. You ended our relationship because you didn’t want anyone to know about us and now you go on announcing it to the world? If you didn’t love me then why didn’t you just say it straight up? At least, I wouldn’t have gone on believing the lie you had told me. And now, I have to be in the same group as her. See her face every day. Do you really think I can handle all of this? I’m just so ..” you closed your eyes and covered your face with your hands. All the anger that had been boiling up inside you had come out without a warning. You’d left him dumbfounded. He didn’t have anything to say. You were right. He had never bothered giving you any explanations. You looked at him for response but there wasn’t any. He was ashamed and so were you.

“You know what, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said all that,” you said, forcing a smile on your face. You began to walk but he held your hand.

“_________, don’t give up on this. You and I both now how much you wanted this. I may not love you like I did but I still care about you. I want to see you succeed. If you give on this today, you’ll regret it for the rest of your life. I know it will hurt in the beginning but you’ll get over it. And one day a guy will come in your life who will love you and only you. You’ll forget about me. I promise.”

“It’s not that easy.”

“It will be…just .. please don’t go like this.” He slowly let your hand slide out of his. You looked into his eyes and after a long time, you could tell what he was thinking. He really did care this time.

A tear fell from your eye but you wiped it away before he could even lift his hand. You nodded your head with a smile and began to leave.

“And , I’m really sorry for what I did to you,” he mumbled. You had forgiven him already. He didn’t need to say those words, yet it felt good to hear them. You turned half way and this time smiled from all your heart.

Maybe, one day you were going to find someone who loved you and only you. ..

Take Care [Lay]

Requested by trixicoox1427

You felt a tight grip around your hand when you woke up. Lay’s face was only inches away from yours. You noticed the wrinkles on his forehead. He seemed stressed and uncomfortable. You lifted your hand to check his forehead. It was really warm.

“Oppa..” you whispered his name. He was in deep sleep. You thought it best to not disturb him and quietly slid out of bed.

Soon after you heard something drop in the room. You ran back inside only to find Lay sitting on the bed holding his head.

“Oh Gosh.. you shouldn’t go,” you said sitting beside him.

“I have to,” he mumbled.

“You’re sick,” you said with worry.

“I’ll be fine. It’s really not that bad,” he forced a smile and squeezed your hand. “And besides, the managers and boys will be there so I’ll be fine.”

“But..”

“Trust me,” he said and gave you a peck on the cheek. You pulled him back and pressed your lips against his.

“You’ll get sick,” he warned.

“I don’t care,” you said before connecting them with his, again.

*********************************************

Lay walked close behind Kris. His vision kept blurring even when he tried hard to focus. “Luhan.. Kris..” he mouthed the words a shot of pain ran through his waist.

“Ouch,” he cried, not being able to resist the pain he’d been feeling for quite some time.

“Are you alright?” Luhan suddenly turned around and asked.

“Ye,” he replied closing his eyes.

“We are about to approach the fans. Do you think you can do it?” he asked. Lay nodded, placing his hand on his face. He wanted to give his best to the fans so he forced a smile as soon as the automatic doors slid open.  The members waved their hands and bowed to the fans. Lay lifted his hand, which increased the pain. He suddenly stumbled, only to be caught by one of the managers.

The shouting and screaming and the struggling amongst the fans suddenly stopped. There was silence everywhere as they all stared at his weak body.

“Are you alright?” the manager asked.

“Ye,” he replied and took a step only to stumble again.

“Hold on, I’ll get you a wheel chair. Your body’s too warm and you seem weak.”

“No, I’m fine. I can do this,” he insisted.

“Don’t push yourself,” Kris said placing his hand on Lay’s shoulder. The silent fans started yelling ans screaming once again, in worry. The cameras started flashing. No matter how much the managers and security tried to stop them, it didn’t work.

****************************************************

You scrolled through your daily feeds on Weibo when a post with Lay’s picture popped up. The managers were holding him to help him walk. He looked weak and worn out. More worn out than earlier that morning.

“Oh no!,” you covered your mouth with your hands as a gasp escaped you. The next second, you jumped out of your seat and ran for your phone.

“Pick up, pick up, pick up,” you repeated while nervously pacing around the room. Tears were forming in your eyes.

Lay felt his phone vibrate. He tried to reach for it but the manager stopped him.

“Let me talk to her,” he whispered.

“The fans are watching,” the manager whispered sternly. The group came out of the airport with the reporters and fans running close behind. The other members seemed to be really worried. Luhan put his arm around Lay to comfort him.

“Do me a favor,” Lay whispered.

“Ye,” Luhan replied.

“Take my cell phone and text ___________. She’s called me for the 10th time. I think she found out,” Lay said in broken speech with great difficulty. Luhan nodded and slipped his hand in Lay’s pocket. He quickly took it out and turned around to escape the managers’ eyes.

I am fine. Don’t worry.’ – you looked at the message. It made you worry even more. You just wanted to fly there and take care of him.

You spent the entire night shifting from side to side in your bed. Lay’s image kept revolving in your head. He was always very irresponsible about his health. You took care of him like his mother. It was almost 1 am but your eyes were still wide open. You picked up your phone to try and call him one last time but before you could, your phone buzzed. It was him. Your face lit up.

“How are you? Are you feeling better? Why weren’t you picking up my call? I have been worried sick about you. I told you to..”

“__________, relax. I’m fine,” he said but his voice told the opposite. He sounded tired and sick.

“No you’re not. I keep telling you to take care of yourself but you never listen to me. Are you happy now?” you asked and began to cry.

“Please don’t cry. It’ll only make me worry more,” he said meekly. You tried to stay something but your sniffles took you.

“_________ah, Please stop crying. It hurts me to hear you cry,” he said once again. You wiped your tears and tried not to cry.

“Please be careful and come back soon.”

“I’ll see you soon.”

“And then I won’t let you go anywhere till you are fine,” you asked like a little child.

“Anything you say,” Lay replied back.

“Oppa..”

“Ye..”

“Wo ai ni,”

“Wô je ai ni”  he replied and took a deep breath.

For anyone who didn’t know already, Lay was/is really sick recently.

Here’s the video:

And here’s a picture:

I don’t agree with people who think it’s a bad idea to reblog this stuff because it will only upset Lay. We as his fans deserve to see/know what happened to him. We want to be there in every moment with him. If we can’t see him in person, we should at least be given the liberty to look at the pictures/videos to see how our GeGe is doing. We [I] love him a lot and wish for his health. *Lets all pray for him*

Masquerade [Lay]

Requested by anon

“_________ ah, are you going to come to my birthday party or not?” Your friend asked with a slight hint of irritation. She’d already asked you this question a bunch of times before. You didn’t like social gatherings, especially the ones your friend went too. Her dad was really rich so the parties she went to were high class. She always invited you but you turned her down because you felt like you won’t be able to fit in. This time was different however since it was her boyfriend’s masked birthday party.

“_________!” she shook you this time.

“Huhnhh! Umm yeah okay. I’ll come.” The very next second you found yourself wrapped tightly in Eunsol’s arms.

“Oh the things I do for you,” you said making a funny face.

“Saranghae!” she said excitedly.

“Saranghae!” you mumbled back.

***********************************************************

“I still don’t understand why he’s having such a big birthday party? When I have a birthday party I go to a small bubble tea shop with a friend,” you said making a face.

“Oh Shhhh! Don’t let him hear you. A lot of ‘cool’ people are here so try to mingle with them,” Eunsol nagged you.

“Aish,” you made a face while putting on the mask.

You were glad it was a masked birthday party. That way nobody would be able to see your face and you wouldn’t be as nervous as you usually are. Most girls brought dates. They were having fun on the dance floor while you stood in the corner playing with your drink. You sipped some but immediately threw it back in the glass. It was disgusting. You looked around to make sure no one saw you. Everybody was busy in their own world. Nobody would care to look at a random girl standing in the corner minding her own business.

You’d started to regret the idea of coming to the party. Being amongst so many people, you were still lonely. A cold breeze of air touched your bear arms. ‘Ahh  a balcony,’ you thought looking at the open door. Squeezing through the crowd you somehow made it outside. It was chilly but at the time anything was better than staying inside and humiliating yourself.

The dark sky was lit with beautiful stars. It looked beautiful. You didn’t smile that often but looking at the glittery dark sheet always cheered you up. Memories of your childhood started coming back to you. Your dad would take you to the rooftop. He would lift your hand up and then draw patterns, connecting the stars. He would then tell you fairytales about princesses. You always wondered when your prince charming was going to come and sweep you off your feet. You missed your daddy. Your only wish on every 11:11, every shooting star, every eye lash that fell on your cheek, was for him to come back. Tears started forming in your eyes but you quickly wiped them away.

“It’s not nice for a pretty girl to be crying at a party like this one,” somebody suddenly came besides you and said. You calmed your nerves and turned sideways to see who it was. He wasn’t looking at you. He was looking up at the sky, just like you were a little while back. His skin looked beautiful in the dim light and the dimple on his cheek was killing you on the inside. You were a sucker for dimples.

“I’m not crying,” you mumbled.

“It’s okay. You don’t have to lie to me,” he said. You looked back at him. He seemed to speak without any emotions.

“Were you thinking about someone?” he asked. You shook your head. He turned his face towards you for a brief second then looked away.

“Every time I look at the stars I think about the person I loved dearly,” he began. Your heart sank for a second. You wanted to know who it was but asking him would be weird. You barely knew him.

“Who was it?” you asked hesitantly.

“My childhood friend,” he said and then paused. “We loved each other.. a lot until..”

“Until?” you asked.

“Until.. … aaaa..” his voice chocked. “Do you want to dance?” he changed the topic immediately.

“What?” you whispered at the sudden question.

“Ye. Come on..” he offered you his hand. You felt like some sort of a force was pulling you towards him. You took his hand and followed him inside. Your favorite song Seven years of love’ was playing. He placed one hand around your waist and held your hand in the other.

“I don’t know how to dance,” you said meekly.

“I’ll teach you,” he pushed you back as you twirled then he pulled you close once again. His eyes looked beautiful as they stared into yours.  You couldn’t help but look at the slight dip next to his smooth lips. Was he even real? You asked yourself. You wanted to see the face behind the mask.

You heard him chuckle.

“What?” you asked. He shook his head, keeping the faint smile on his face.

“What?” you asked again.

“It’s the way you’re looking at me,” he said. Your face turned red and your hands started shaking. You’d never failed to embarrass yourself.

“Mianhe,” you said looking away.

“Don’t be nervous,” he said squeezing your hands to let them relax. “You’re doing great.”

The song was coming to an end. He was going to leave soon. You didn’t want him too. You wanted him to stay. You wanted to know more about him.

“You didn’t tell me what happened to her?” you asked. His smile disappeared and his skin grew pale.

“I’m sor..” you began to say but he cut you.

“She died in a car accident.” You looked up instantly. You were having difficulty registering the words in your head.

“What?” you gasped. He leaned in and gave you a light peck on the cheek. The song ended, and his hands slowly slipped out of yours. You stood there as if struck by lightning. Before you knew it, his figure faded into the crowd.

“Wait..” you whispered but it was too late. He was gone. How could it be that a guy as charming as him went through so much in life? You felt a tinge of pain in your heart. You didn’t know when you got pushed off of the dance floor by the crowd. You were now standing in the corner, your eyes wandering from side to side, trying to look for him. Your brain kept telling you that whatever happened wasn’t real but your heart kept poking you to go look for him.

As always you listened to your brain. It would be stupid to go after him. The brief encounter you’d had with him was beautiful enough. You wanted to remember it just as it was. Maybe that’s how it was meant to be. Nothing more, nothing less. You sighed and looked once more at the keyed up crowd and then turned around shaking your head.

You were going to remember that night forever…

*********************************************

One month later..

The mall wasn’t as crowded as it usually was on Sunday mornings. You walked, deeply engulfed in your thoughts. Somebody suddenly bumped into you.

“Oh I’m sorry,” the guy held you for a second before moving on again. You brushed the hair off of your face quickly in response to the familiar fragrance. It was quick enough for you to catch a glimpse of the slight dip next to his lips. You knew it was him. It had to be. The bags you had in your hand dropped, as you stood their staring at him fading into the pool of people once again. Just like a month ago, your heart poked you to go after him. Stop him. You took a step.. but then shook your head and turned around. A smile appeared on your face as a line ran through your head, ‘Leave it the way it is…’

Lay turned around and saw you walking. A voice in the back of his head kept telling him that you were the one. You were the girl from the party. He hit the back of his head as a smile appeared on his face. He too turned around shaking his head and continued walking. He was also going to ‘Leave it the way it was..’

You had to leave [Lay] Part 2

Here’s part 1 for the people who haven’t read it yet

.

.

.

“_________ah, why did you leave the party so early?” your mother came and sat beside you. You didn’t bother turning around and looking at her. You knew she was going to get worried seeing your puffy eyes and then a thousand questions were going to follow, asking you what was wrong.

“I had a headache so I left,” you mumbled from under the sheets.

“Alright,” she said. You could hear disappointment in her voice.

“Umma,” you stopped her. “Is there something you want to tell me?”

“Aniyo.”

“Please, tell me,” you insisted. She sat beside you once again and sighed.

“Yixing’s father proposed today,” she said. You felt somebody had just dropped a bomb on you. This was it. Fate’s way of telling you that your little love story was never going to happen. It was also a punishment for you because you knew well that it was your fault.

“_______ah, say something,” she nudged you. She started to pull the sheet from your face but you clenched it tightly.

“That’s great,” you said trying to cheer her up.

“Ye,” she sighed. Something seemed missing. She didn’t sound too happy. You were going to wait and ask her the next morning. At the moment you just needed some time to yourself.

**************************************************************

You looked at the thousands of unanswered missed calls on your phone. You wanted to pick up the phone when he called but you knew it was only going to lead to disaster. It had been a month and you hadn’t seen him. You changed your bus routes. You stopped eating at the usual restaurants. You were doing  anything and everything, to avoid him.

“Ummmaa I’m home,” you yelled through the corridor. “I didn’t bring bread because I think it’s going to start raining soon but I’ll be sure to pick…” you stood stunned in the living room as you saw Yixing, his father and your mother.

“Oh, I’m so sorry,” you choked on your own voice. “Umm, I’m going to go change.”

Your mother gave you a warm, comforting smile. It seemed like she had something to say. “Don’t change. Come sit down with us.”

“I brought Yixing here too today,” his father began speaking. “Because both your mom and I wanted to make this announcement.” You knew exactly what he was going to say. You dreaded it and you hated yourself for dreading it. “We are going to get married soon.” He said with such excitement holding your mother’s hand that for a second you felt jealous. You were jealous of their happiness.

“Well what do you guys think?” he asked bringing you back to reality.

“Huh,” you responded as Yixing shook your elbow. “That’s great! When?”

“Sometime next month. We were thinking, the second Saturday?” he asked. “Oh and I’d suggest that you and your mother start packing. You guys will soon be moving in.”

You hadn’t even thought about that. Living in the same house with a person who you loved and having to call him your step brother. You couldn’t do it. You just couldn’t. You excused yourself politely and left the living room.

“It’s getting chilly out here,” Yixing said opening the door to the tiny balcony.

“Please go away,” you said without looking at him.

“You don’t have to hide those tears from me,” he said, now standing right besides you. He slid his hand around your waist. You tried to struggle but he won. You were now wrapped around his arms tightly.

“I feel pathetic. I felt jealous when they were giving me the news. I was jealous of their happiness. Can you imagine this? I’m such a horrible person.” You said between your sniffles.

“Shhhhhh,” don’t say that he said and kissed you on your temple.

“I can’t do this. I just can’t.” you said. He rested his chin on your head. You could feel his tears running down your hair. You pulled back and looked at him.

“I’ve loved once and I’ve lost. I don’t want that to happen to me again,” he said while shaking his head. “I don’t want to lose you.”

You tried to slip your hands out of his trembling hands but he didn’t let go. He didn’t want too. He was trying his best to keep you from going.

“Don’t you see how happy they are? Do you really want to do this to them?” you asked.

“I don’t want to let go off you ______.”

“You have too. For them.”

“No!” he shook his head. “I’d given up on life but you showed me that I could keep moving on. You gave me hope. You made me fall for you. And now you’re telling me that you want to leave?”

“I know it’s my fault but I don’t want it to affect them. Besides I’m leaving for Canada after the wedding.”

“What” he gasped. “No, no no!” he repeated pulling you back into an embrace. “You can’t do that.”

“I have too.” You began to cry once again. “You and I both know it won’t work like this.”

He pulled back and joined his soft lips to yours. Your wet cheeks touched his. He slid his hand to the back of your head and pinned you against the wall.

“We shouldn’t do this,” you said between kisses.

“Please don’t stop me,” he replied.

“You’ll find someone better than me.”

“I’ll never find anyone like you.”

“Oppa..”

“Shhh,” he shussed you by reconnecting his lips to yours.

***********************************************************

“Seriously, I don’t understand the need for me to try on a wedding dress too. It’s your wedding not mine,” you whined as your mother pushed you into the dressing room. You were already annoyed at the fact that she’d invited Yixing. You could barely make eye contact with him after that night in the balcony. You wanted to make it pretty clear that there was nothing between you and him.

“Yixing, do you want to try something too?”

“Uh, no thank you,” he rejected politely. “Oh come on, try this one. I’m sure your father will love it.” He surrendered to your mother’s pleading and took the tuxedo from her.

You and him both got out of the dressing room at the same time, coincidently.

“Why are you wearing that?” you asked him and turned to face your mother. You were a little surprised as you saw Yixing’s dad standing beside her.

“Now don’t they look perfect?” he asked your mother.

“Perfect indeed,” she said with a big smile on her face.

Both you and him were confused.

“What do you mean?” you asked. Your mother stepped forward and cupped your face with her hands.

“Did you really think that you were ready to make such a big sacrifice at such a young age? How dare you think of my happiness before yours.”

“Umma what are you saying?” you interrupted.

“Shhhh,” she placed her finger on your lips. A tear rolled down her cheek. Your heart sank. You could bear anything in the world except see your mother cry. “Yixing’s father and I have already received the joys of being with someone we loved in our lives but you two,” she now looked at Yixing too. “It’s your first time and you guys are throwing it away like nothing had happened between you.”

“Umma how did you?” you asked really embarrassed.

“We saw you two in the balcony the other night.”

You were disgusted by your existence. You couldn’t do one small good deed for your own mother who had sacrificed so much for you. You hugged her. “I never meant for any of this to happen..” you said between sobs.

“I know honey, I know.” she stroked your hair. “I just want you to be happy.”

“We want both of you to be happy.” Yixing’s father added. “I’ve seen my son go through a lot and I certainly don’t want to be the reason for his misery.”

You pulled back and looked at Yixing. He seemed hurt too. He felt just as bad as you did.

“I’m so sorry appa,” he mumbled not being able to make eye contact.

“Don’t be,” he said pushing you towards him. “Look at the two of you. You guys make a perfect couple.” He wiped the tears out his eyes. “You guys deserve to be together.”

The more they said that, the more you hated yourself.

“________ah, don’t hate yourself for this.” Your mother said. You were surprised as to how she could read your thoughts.

“He loves you a lot.” She said while nodding. “Do it for me.”

You felt Yixing hold your hand and interlace his fingers into yours. You were still unsure of what to do. He, without any hesitation planted a kiss on your cheek.

You heard your mother and his father chuckle.

“They are so innocent and pure,” she said.

“Yes they are,” he replied.

A smile spread on your face. You tightened your grip on Yixing’s hand and looked up at him. He was looking right back at you with a reassuring smile.

You didn’t have to leave after all..

You had to leave [Lay] Part 1

Here’s part 2

Requested By Anon

You walked into the house, throwing your hand bag off to Narnia. You took off your shoes and left them in the corridor. You looked at your mother for a quick second but continued walking. Just then something hit you. She was smiling. She was smiling looking at something on her phone. Last time you saw her smiling was five years ago when your appa was still alive. You slowly walked up to her and sat beside her.

“Umma..”

“Huh?” she jumped up in surprise.

A smile spread on your face as she tried to hide her phone. You felt like your role had been reversed. Usually you were the one hiding your phone from her.

“Seriously?” you raised your eyebrows.

“When did you get home?” she asked.

“Just now..” you mumbled.

“How was work?”

“I’m quitting soon. I hate this job,” you said with frustration.

She nodded, pretending to listen but you knew well that in the back of her head she was thinking something else. Something far too important, hence the faint smile on her face.

“Umma,” you shook her.

“Aish, I’m listening,” she made a face.

“Just tell me what’s going on. You and I both know you won’t be able to hide it forever.”

Her smile disappeared for a second but she immediately recovered it.

“I think it’s time I tell you.”

“Time? What? What are you talking about?”

“Shhhhh..” she nodded her head and made you sit next to her on the couch.

“________, I’ve been seeing this guy for a while ..” she felt your hand slip out of her. You felt a slight twinge of pain. You’d always seen your umma with your appa. They had to be together, always. “Well sort of ishhh,” she corrected herself.

“What do you mean? For how long?” you asked after a while.

“Five months.”

Your mouth fell open. Five months and you didn’t have a single clue about it. Disappointment made its way to your face and you turned sideways to hide the forming tears. Both you and her sat in silence for a long time. You could see her playing with her fingers. She did that when she was nervous.

You raised your head slightly to look at her. The face that was shining brightly a half hour ago was dull. The life that you’d seen on it was gone once again. It suddenly hit you, how selfish you were being. Her happiness was above all. At the moment, her feelings were more important. It was her life and she deserved to be happy. She had lived in agony for the past five years. If life was giving her a second chance than you had no right to come in her way.

You slowly slid your hand on top of hers. She immediately looked at you. You turned to her and held her face.

“So when am I seeing him?” you asked and winked to avoid getting teary eyed. A smile spread on your mothers face and she embraced you.

“Soon.. very soon,” she whispered to you.

****************************************************************

“Tuck in your shirt properly,” your mother nagged you as the two of you waited for the door to open.

“Umma I’m not a teenager anymore. Stop doing that,” you pouted.

She smiled at you. “And did I mention that he also has a s…” before she could finish, the door opened and a guy much much younger than your mother stood on the opposite side.

You gave him a strange look. Your mother could not be seeing him. He was far too young for her. In fact he seemed to be around your age. He smiled at the two of you and moved aside so both you and her could enter.

“________ah, come in,” your mother pulled you. You remained your eye contact with him. He seemed to be getting a little uncomfortable with the way you were looking at him.

“Annyeonghaseyo,” you heard a voice say from behind. You turned around, to find an older guy entering the living room. It finally dawned on you. Your mother was trying to tell you that he had a son.

You greeted him and all of you settled down. He seemed like a really nice guy, a little dominating but nice.

“Yixing, why don’t you show her around?” he asked his son, sensing the awkward atmosphere in the room.

‘Yixing’ got up immediately as if waiting for someone to tell him to leave. It seemed like somebody had sucked the life out of him. Still, there was something about him that was attracting you towards him. For a while, you forgot why you were at their house.

“Come on,” he mumbled walking past you. You got up and followed.

“There really isn’t anything to show,” he said after showing you the balcony and then stepping into his own room.

You took a deep breath and looked around. The room was plain with only a few fixed artifacts. You hesitated but then sat on his bed. You felt him cringe a little but he came and sat beside you too.

“Why the flat face?” you asked. He didn’t respond but continued to stare into space. You felt like you were bothering him. Maybe he was just as upset as you were when you first found out about your parents. You thought for a while and began again.

“Listen, I know it’s a little upsetting to see our parents move on in life but I think we should both take a step back and let them figure this out. We should be happy for them.”

Still no response. Maybe you were just annoying him. You thought it better to just get up and leave. You were at the door when he mumbled something.

“What?” you turned around and asked.

“I’m happy for them,” he said pulling a fake smile. You could still see how upset he was. You went back and sat beside him.

“It’ll be alright soon,” you tried to comfort him. You felt him slide a little. You didn’t realize that you’d been sitting a little too close to him. You looked at him from the corner of your eyes. There was a mysterious aura. You wanted to know what was going on inside his head.

“________, Yixing, dinner is ready,” you heard your mother’s voice.

“We should get used to that,” you said with a cheeky smile. He looked at you with a flat face once again. You could see that he was trying hard to smile but something inside of him was stopping him.

***************************************************

“So do you like him?” you mom asked as the two of you settled on the couch. You were relieved that you were finally back home.

“He’s great,” you said but your thoughts were elsewhere. You were still thinking about Yixing.

“What do you think about Yixing?” she asked.

“Him? Why him?” you asked defensively.

“I might need your help with something.” You looked at her so she could finish. “Yixing’s father is very worried about him.”

“He should be. There is clearly something wrong with him” you rolled your eyes.

“________, I’m serious.”

“What is it?” you asked.

“He just got out of a two year relationship so he is really devastated.”

“Whaaaaaa,” you gasped. She nodded apologetically.

“He wants you to hang out with him some more. He feels that you can make him feel better especially since the two of you will soon be siblings.”

You wished she hadn’t said that. You had found him very charming and attractive the moment you saw him. How was this going to work out?

******************************************************

You secretly wished he wouldn’t pick up his phone. One bell, two, three.. you were about to hang up when he suddenly picked up.

“Hello!”

“Uh Hi,” you choked. “Umm I don’t think you remember me but I came over to your house with my mother a few days ago.”

“Ye, I remember.”

“So I was wondering if you wanted to hang out or something?” you asked.

“Hang out?” he repeated in form of a question.

“It’s okay if you don’t want to. I mean I totally understand what..” you bit your tongue.

“Where do you want to go,” he asked.

“Sun set park?” you asked.

“Okay I’ll be there,” he said and hung up.

**************************************************

You looked around for thirty minutes but there was no sign of Yixing. He stood you up. You weren’t surprised at all. His attitude was getting the best of him.

“Looking for someone?” he asked suddenly coming up behind you. You jumped around clenching your fist to calm your nerves.

“Did I scare you?” he asked stuffing his mouth with cotton candy. He seemed a lot better than last time. Something was clearly wrong with him.

“Did you get me some?” you asked.

“You can have this one,” he offered. You took some and shoved it in your mouth. The two of you began walking.

“So how’s everything?” you asked.

“Great,” he nodded. You didn’t know what else to say. You felt very awkward around him. You were going to give it another shot so you began to speak but he immediately cut you off.

“You don’t have to do this.”

“Do what?” you asked.

“This!” he said now turning to you. “Do you really think I wouldn’t know that my dad told you to do this?”

You felt embarrassed. You didn’t quite know how to answer his question so instead you looked at the ground.

“I’m sorry,” you mumbled.

“Don’t be.”

“No I’m sorry that she left you,” you said. You could feel him cringe a little but he recovered immediately. He didn’t utter a single word. You wanted to look at him but the situation wasn’t allowing you to do that.

“I’ve moved on,” he said but his voice chocked.

“You don’t have t lie to me,” you said. He settled on a bench and buried his face in his hands. “I loved her a lot,” he murmured after a while. You wanted to comfort him. In your heart, you felt extreme hatred for the girl who’d left him like this. He seemed to be so broken. You had this sudden urge to hug him and that’s exactly what you did.

“You’ll move on,” you whispered to him.

**************************************************************

Four months passed by in a breeze. Having lunch with Yixing became a routine for you now. You had no idea he worked in the office opposite yours. In fact you had started to love work once again. He seemed a lot happier to now. Sometimes when he felt generous, he would gift you with a faint smile. That’s all you needed. You just wanted him to be happy. A guy as charming as him deserved to be happy.

“Guess who?” someone asked placing their hands on your eyes.

“Are you really going to do this with me?” you said while giggling. He chuckled as he removed his hands and sat across from you.

“Are you coming to the party tonight?” he asked. You nodded.

“Great! I’ll introduce you to all of my friends.” You nodded once again staring at him. His sweet, honey like voice always melted in your eyes. The shine in his eyes, the faint smile on his lips and glowing skin always captivated you. Little did you know, what you were getting yourself into.

*********************************************

“Having fun?” he asked handing you a glass of juice.

“ Ye,” you said trying to avoid his eyes. “Uh, I need to go use the bathroom.” You immediately excused yourself. Earlier that day, after lunch you’d come to a realization that staying around Yixing was going to ruin your life. You had no idea when you’d fallen for him. You’d fallen hard because every time you saw him your heart ached. You knew you couldn’t ever be with him.

You were taken aback when you found him in the room as you got out of the bathroom.

“Why are you avoiding me?” he asked.

“Avoiding? What are you talking about?” you tried to bring out your playful side. Your eyes wandered from one corner of the room to the other nervously. The very next second Yixing grabbed your hand and pinned you to the wall. He connected his lips to yours. For a brief second you had no idea what was happening. You were kissing him back. You suddenly pushed him back.

“We can’t do this..” you said as tears began rolling out of your eyes.

You waited for him to say something but he didn’t. You couldn’t stay there any longer. It was time for you to leave.

So while I was writing this I realized that there was NO WAY POSSIBLE that I could write the whole scenario in one part. The plot is too sensitive therefore I couldn’t rush with it. I’ve taken the liberty to make a  TWO PART scenario [I hope you don’t bash me for this anon] and to the other I hope you guys like this!

Appa loves Umma [Lay]

Requested by anon

Lay looked tired when he got back home.

“Long day?” you asked.

“Aneyo,” he shook his head settling down on the couch, next to you.

“Go change first.”

“Just give me some food first,” he said sounding frustrated.

“Is something wrong?” you asked sensing the irritation in his voice.

“Nothing.”

“Are you sure?”

“Ye,”

You didn’t want to ask again and again and irritate him more therefore you got up to get dinner ready. If it was something important he would tell you when the time was right.

“Apppppaa,” your four year old came running out of the room and jumped on top of Lay.

“How was your day?” Lay chuckled and kissed him. Hyo showed a thumbs up.

“Good boy,” Lay played with his hair. “Now let’s go change before mommy gets mad.”

“Appa you have to chang, I don’t,” Hyo said while laughing.

“Aish, you got appa.”

****************************************

“Dinner’s readdddyyyyyy,” you announced from the kitchen.

“I’m coming,” Lay replied from the room.

Everybody finally settled down on the table.

“Hyo, honey how many times have I told you not to put your elbows on the table,” you said giving him one of your classic motherly glares.

“Mianhamnida,” he said biting his tongue.

“___________ah, there’s something I have to tell you,” Lay said without looking at you.

“Hmmm.”

“We might have to move to a different apartment.”

“What!!!!” you exclaimed. Your sudden reaction scared Hyo a little bit. You calmed yourself and asked again , in a lower tone this time.

“That one’s much bigger and better than the this one and it’s in the city too so we won’t have trouble with transport.”

“But..”

“Trust me it’s for the better,”

You looked at Hyo. He was busy playing with his food. You wanted to make sure he wasn’t paying attention to your conversation.

“It’s not for the better and you know that too Lay. Hyo just changed his school 2 months ago. We can’t be moving again.”

“The school that he’ll go to is much better than this one.”

“Well I don’t want to disturb him.”

“He won’t be disturbed.”

You took a deep breath and continued eating. You didn’t want to argue with him in front of Hyo.

************************************************

You hadn’t exchanged a single word with Lay ever since dinner finished. You tucked Hyo into bed and went back to your room. Lay watched you clean the mess that he’d created in the room. You were moving back and forth, frustration clearly visible on your face.

“Say something!” he said suddenly.

You looked at him and then looked away.

“I already signed the lease.”

“You what?” He had taken you by surprise once again.

“We don’t have a choice any more. We have to move by next month.”

“Why didn’t you tell me about this?” you asked.

Lay didn’t have an answer.

“Am I not a part of the decision making? Does my opinion not count at all?”

“It does,” he said getting up and walking towards you.

“This was a really big decision and you took it without me,” you said. You were really hurt. You couldn’t believe he’d made all the arrangements without consulting you.

“Why are you making such a big deal out of it?” Lay shouted.

“Oh so I’m the one making a big deal out of this?”

“Yes you are!” he emphasized.

You were dumbfounded. He’d never acted like this before.

“So you come home and tell me that we have to move in one month without even bothering to ask me if it’s okay? Do you not care about how this will impact Hyo and me?”

“I do, that’s why I made this decision.”

“That’s right! You made this decision. And as far as I remember we used to make decisions. What happened to that?”

“Stop making it seem like I did something wrong.”

“You did do something wrong,”

“_________ be quiet!”

“You know what… just… whatever,” you flung your hands in frustration and turned around. Your heart sank at the sight of Hyo standing by the door with tears rolling down his cheek. He wiped them and quickly ran into his room. Both you and Lay didn’t realize how loud you were. Hyo had heard everything. You ran after him. He’d hid in the corner and clenched his legs to his chest, hiding his face in his hands.

“Hyo are you alright?” you asked trying to pull his hands away from his face.

He shook his head.

“What’s wrong?” you asked.

He hugged you tightly. “Are you and daddy going to get a divorce just like Eunsol’s parents?”

His questions ran a shudder through your body. How could a mind as young as his think of something like this. You gasped since words failed to form.

“Why would you say that?” Lay said settling besides the two of you. Hyo pulled away from you and looked at his appa.

“Because you and umma are fighting,” he pouted. Lay wiped the tears from his soft cheeks.

“That doesn’t mean we will get a divorce. Appa loves Umma,” he said putting his arms around you and signaled you to smile. You did as he said. “And Appa loves Hyo too.”

He took Hyo from you and kissed him on the cheeks.

“It’s way past your bed time young man. Don’t you have school tomorrow?” Lay picked him and put him in his bed. You came up beside him and gave him a comforting smile.

“Sleep tight,” you said patting him on his chest. He gave you a reassuring smile that he was fine.

You didn’t know where your argument with Lay stood at the moment. You were still thinking about it while walking back to the room. Just as you were about to slide into bed he held you from behind.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered. You turned around to face him. For some reason all your anger flushed out.

“I’ve realized that I was being selfish. I’ll go talk to them tomorrow and see if I can cancel the lease.”

You waited a bit before replying. You wanted to think about it.

“How about we go look at the apartment first?” you suggested.

A smile spread on his face. He leaned in and kissed you on your lips once, twice and then three times.

“Let’s never fight again?”

You nodded your head in agreement before connecting your lips with his, again.

Little by little [Lay]

Requested by anon

“__________ ah, why didn’t you wake me up?” Lay said running around the room looking for his stuff.

“Huh!, what time is it?” you asked, also jumping out of bed.

“It’s 10 o clock. I was supposed to be there at 9.”

“Oh my God, umm I don’t know why the alarm clock didn’t work!” you said looking around for it. After looking for quite a while you found it in the corner of the room. You picked it up only to find that there were no batteries in it.

“Lay, did you punch the clock again?” you asked remembering the last time he did it and the batteries flew out to the other side of the room. Lay didn’t hear you. He was too busy looking for his pants in the pile of cloths in the basket. You looked around; the room was really a mess. Both of you had been up all night taking care of Yu chin, your one year old son.

“Lay!” you said his name again.

“Huh! Yeah I might have,” He replied.

“Great. Now I’m going to have to get another clock.” You sighed and walked out of the room to make breakfast for him.

“Aaaa,” you heard him cry in pain.

“What happened?” you yelled from the kitchen.

“Tripped over his toy,” he said coming out of the room. “You need to clean it up a little bit. It took me a half hour just to find my socks.”

“Yeah, I’ll do it.”

“No I really mean it this time. The house is a mess.” He said with a more serious tone this time.

“I’ll do ittt,” you tried not to sound irritated. It would only get him mad and you didn’t want that.

“Okay I’ll see you later,” he said giving you a quick peck.

“But what about breakfast?” you called from behind him.

“Ahh, I’ll be fine,” he said waving.

You made breakfast for yourself and settled it on the table. Just as you began to eat, Yu chin began crying. You took a deep breath and got up.

“Awww no no no, don’t cry,” you said wiping his tears and holding him close to your chest.

“Are you hungry? you laid him on the bed.“Aaa no no don’t cry I’m going to get you some milk okay.” You said turning around but he didn’t stop crying. You had no choice but to take him to the kitchen with you, knowing it wasn’t safe.

You took the milk out of the microwave and began to check if it was warm enough. Instead of a few drops dripping out of the bottle, all the milk dropped on the floor. You had forgotten to tighten the lid.

“Oh my God what am I doing?” you yelled in anger. Yu chin was still crying in your arms. You took a deep breath and started all over again.

“Why are you crying so much today?” you said putting the bottle in his mouth. He stopped crying and looked right back at you with his big beautiful eyes. You caressed his cheek with your finger. Your over flowing love came out in form of tears. “I love you so much,” you said placing a soft kiss on his forehead. Him and Lay were the only two reasons you lived for.

Yu chin fell asleep before you knew it. You tucked him back into his crib and went into the kitchen to clean the mess you’d created earlier. You felt a slight pain in your back but ignored it. You’d promised Lay to clean this mess. He was right, the last time the two of you saw the house clean, was on Lay’s birthday party.

It was almost 3 in the afternoon and you still had some cleaning left to do. You heard your stomach growl. ‘Oh I forgot to eat, lunch…and….breakfast’ – you realized. You puffed your cheeks in frustration and went to the kitchen to set yourself a nice meal. You deserved it after such a day.

Just as you were about to take your first bite, Yu chin started crying again. You ran into the room to check on him. You cleaned his diapers and fed him once again.

He didn’t go to sleep however. He wanted to play. You spread out all of his toys in the living room so he could play and move around a bit.

As much as you wanted to sleep, there was no time. Lay was soon going to be home and besides you had to do some job hunting.

**********************************************

“___________ah,” Lay called your name entering the house.

“I’m here!” you replied.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“Job hunting.”

You looked up from the laptop screen only to find Luhan, Suho Kris and Chanyeol standing beside him.

You sprung off of the couch.

“Oh I didn’t know you guys were coming,” you scratched your head.

You saw Lay’s eyes move around the room and then back at you. He seemed mad. You had forgotten to clean the living room.

“Yeah, we just wanted to catch up,” said Luhan.

“What’s for dinner?” Chanyeol asked excitedly.

“Uhhh,” you couldn’t think of anything because you obviously hadn’t made anything. “Umm ram yeon,” you replied lunging towards the kitchen to prepare it.

“It’ll be ready in just a minute,” you informed them from the kitchen.

“Take your time. We’re not in a hurry,” Suho replied settling on the little space available on the couch.

******************************************************

After saying goodbyes to the boys Lay turned towards you. He was still mad.

“I asked you for one thing. One thing and you can’t even do that?” he suddenly yelled. You jumped back in surprise.

“Why didn’t you respond to my text?” he snapped again.

“Text .. message?” you repeated in a whisper.

“Ye, I told you the guys were coming tonight.”

Great. Now you couldn’t even blame him for not informing you ahead of time. It really was your fault.

“I’m really getting tired of this now _______. Why don’t you ever do anything around the house? It’s always dirty. I can never find anything because nothing is in its right place. You need to stop being lazy and start cleaning around.”

He didn’t stop for once. You knew you were at fault but it wasn’t like you hadn’t done anything all day. It was hard taking care of a one year old and then cleaning at the same time.

“And then on top of that you want to start working again? I told you, you didn’t need to work for now. Just focus on the house okay. I don’t want to come back to this mess every day. Do you know how embarrassing it was in front of the guys? And then the food.. it wasn’t prepared because obviously you were too busy doing other things to look at my message.”

“At least I made it on time,” you pitched in.

“Okay then clean this now,” he said with a harsh tone.

“I’m tired,” you replied with an annoyed face.

“What did you do all day that you’re so tired? You don’t do anything,” he shouted this time.

That was it. He’d hit your breaking point.

“Don’t say that,” you whispered wiping your tears and ran into the room.

Lay sighed but stood there in silence. He decided to go check on Yu chin who was surprisingly still asleep. He opened the door to the room slowly. It was clean. He hadn’t come inside the room ever since he’d come back home. Slight guilt took over him.  He kissed Yu Chin and walked back to your room. It was clean too, unexpectedly. He felt even more guilty now. You quickly got up and wiped your tears.

“Did Yu chin wake up?” you asked, hurriedly walking towards the door but he held your hand. You didn’t want to make eye contact with him.

“I’m sorry,” he said, forcing you to turn towards him.

You were still upset.

“I said a lot didn’t I?” he asked.

You nodded.

“I’m sorry,” he said embracing you. “I should have realized that you do a lot around the house and I’m never there to help.”

You tightened your arms around him.

“Come on, let’s do it together,” He said pulling away and now looking straight at you. He cupped your face in his hands. “Don’t cry.”

You shook your head. “You don’t have to. I’ll do it myself.”

“Aneyo,” he pulled you out of the room so both of you could clean. Just then Yu chin began crying. Both of you looked at each other and a smile spread on your faces.

While writing this I realized that not every scenario has to be cheesy or have a lot of intense action. Sometimes normal life scenarios are a nice read too. I hope you guys agree.

BTW—> I did punch my clock once and my mom found it and the batteries in two opposite corners of the room. I pretty much killed it =___=

Some day [Lay] - Submission

***** Congratulations to -aww-sehunyoucutie for making me cry last night! This scenario is REALLY sad [ at least to me, since I LOVE Lay so much I can’t even think of leaving him —> in the fictional story in my head. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy reading this! .. Sorry for the sad scenarios recently but thats pretty much what I have on my request list for now*****

Lay danced.

And danced.

And danced.

Beautifully, you always added, but just danced and danced. For the longest time.

It was wonderful and you loved watching, yes, but you wish you could just tell him to stop, or take a break. And you did, sometimes, but only for water. You knew what was coming when he asked you out on the first date, and asked you to go steady after that. Even so, though you loved him so much, there was still loneliness.

You’d loved him for a long time. First, as his fan, he was the one your heart always beat the loudest for, then, as a girl, because the time that you spent working at the training centre made you feel real warmth and a soft ache in your chest whenever his name came up. You were raised overseas, but Mandarin was your first language, Korean, you started to learn after elementary school. You came to Korea for University, and, by some stroke of luck, managed to land a job with the trainees, and, of course, the bands that came.

Lay was practicing again, long after the other members had stopped and gone out to eat. You went and bought him some food, hoping that he’d at least stop for a late 9pm dinner. His skin was glazed over in sweat. The short breaths that he drew, coupled with the fierce look across his features used to make your heart race, but now, it made you feel a bit sad.

”YiXing,” you called albeit softly, not wanting to disrupt him too much, even though you knew it would have the same effect, “Stop to eat, please?”

You often had to plead him until he would sigh and stop unhappily. You never acted like you were disheartened, but you were. He continued to dance, probably too absorbed to even notice you. You gave up. These days, the determination to get him to complete his basic needs was fading. You sighed softly and left the food in the room, as you walked out the door.

You didn’t cry, you just sat in a chair in front of a table and let your arms sprawl all over the top, laying, slumped over. You let it squish your face into whatever blob-like shape it desired, too uncaring and tired to bother even sitting right. The folding table was cool, calming your warmer cheek. It was comfortable, but you still felt a subtle desolate pain in your gut.

“Maybe we should break up,” you mumble to yourself, thinking aloud, as you did sometimes. You spoke to yourself frequently, not too much, just casual mumblings here and there, it wasn’t unusual.

You pause, wanting to sigh, but having it caught at your chest. You thought half seriously for a moment, then suddenly, you sat straight up.

“No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,” you shook your head vehemently. Over and over again, trying to knock the negativity out from inside you.

Your thoughts were conflicted. You always promised yourself that if a guy ever caused you hurt like that, you would leave straight away, regardless of how much you loved him. You were always independent, but somehow, even back then, you knew you wouldn’t be able to do it properly when it came.

Still, you contemplated it seriously. And even though you didn’t want to admit it, it sounded pretty good. You could break up, he probably wouldn’t care anyway. You stressed your lips a bit at the bitter notion. Still, you continued to list. There was never a problem with gossip and relationship between girls of the school, you were outspoken and cheerful, so you had a relatively healthy relationship with everyone in your department.

You could continue with University calmly, with your friends, no more being branded as ‘the girl who’s going out with an Exo member’, no more  sad sighs, no more tiredness from staying up with Lay, no more feeling unloved, no more this, no more that. Your mind swirled with the wonderful possibilities that came with the freedom of being unattached to Lay.

Still, you came up with just as many bad ones. And these, you couldn’t help but hang onto. No more seeing the guys, laughing, having fun, no more soft caresses on the back of your head, no more having someone who loves you the way you love them, and that last one alone accounted for more than enough to stop you. The problem is, if you stay, then nothing ever changes…

You sigh into the table again, now folding together your arms so you could bury your face.

“…You… Are not going to cry, ____,” you whispered into your arms sternly, scolding the tears that pricked the back of your eyes, “Stop being stupid.”

You squeezed your eyelids down, furrowing your eyebrows in frustration, hoping that it’ll stop the tears. Tightly, you could feel your facial muscles shaking. Still, you felt the wet warmth soak straight into your sweater. You let out a shaky breath, propping yourself up and wiping away the tears with your sleeves roughly. The more you wiped, the more they flowed from your eyes.

You’ve already spoken to him about it, but you understood he needed and loved to practice dancing, so it didn’t go too far before you conceded and ended up encouraging him.

“Ah,” you semi-whimpered, cleaning up the last of your tears, sniffling.

You scolded yourself for being pathetic, shaking your head and taking off your damp-sleeved sweater, revealing a tank top. You sigh, for the umpteenth time that day, and decide to give up that night. Calmly and quietly, you decide to go home, without letting Lay know and saying an ‘I love you’. Somehow, you knew he wouldn’t care anyway.

Days passed. You didn’t try to contact him, he didn’t try to contact you. You received a text from Chanyeol, asking where you were, but none from Lay. You expected it, but it still hurt. On your end, there was crying, uneasiness. He didn’t need you, you couldn’t help but think. He didn’t. He was an idol. He sang, he danced. You were a nobody. Nothing special. So what to do, but cry.

That was it. You finally gathered up the little confidence in your actions you could find and got dressed. Pulling a decent shirt over your head, you could already feel doubt creating a space in your chest, but you force it down. This is better for us, you think, over and over again. Quickly grabbing your phone, you headed for the training centre. This is it.

You walked in quietly, poking your head into the room, you unexpectedly found everyone sitting down chatting. They were on break, then, you assumed. They all greeted you familiarly and warmly, a few members being exceptionally noisy. You couldn’t help but laugh, no matter how nervous you felt, it still comforted you. You waved back, entering the room.

Lay stood up, already leading you out the door, leaving the other members confused, but confusing you the most. Before you could even say his name, he shut the door and took you into another empty practice room.

“Yi-“

“Where have you been the past few days,” he asked calmly, leaning over you.

You were somewhat caught off guard, but secretly, and you would never tell him, you were happy, because him caring was something you wished for all the time. You widened your eyes, to look at him. He stared back, you could feel hope building itself in your gut.

“…A-ah,” you finally managed to sputter, looking down for a second, “Um… Just. Stuff.”

He looked at your once more before averting his gaze and turning to leave.

“Alright,” he told you, before walking out into the hall, to go back.

You were stunned.

Did he not care? Not at all? And here you thought that he did. You felt so stupid, upset, at yourself, at him. Everything was wrong. Everything was wasted. You should have broken up a long time ago, you thought bitterly.

He was already halfway down the hall, already a distance where you could just barely hear the soft thumps of his shoes on the cold floor. He didn’t even care to bring you back. You couldn’t help but cry a little. And you wiped it quickly, angry, your heart thumping. To the point where your knees were weak, you were upset.

“Yixing, I hate you!”

You flew into a rash storm of tears, not knowing what to do.

“You stupid idiot,” you shouted at him, from behind, still standing in the room, but you knew he heard you, “Know what? I’m the one who doesn’t care anymore, let’s just break up!”

You wiped your eye roughly with your sleeve. Sobbing softly, you could hear his footsteps hurrying toward you, and you had mixed feelings about this, because you just wanted to disappear from the embarrassment. You felt so stupid, dejected, fed up with him, but at the same time, you hoped with every existence of your being that he would come back.

The steps came closer, quick, running thuds. And he appeared quickly, the tears pricked at your eyes even more, flowing non-stop, no matter how hard you willed them to. You were humiliated, how stupid, how childish you were acting.

Instinctively, he threw his arms around you and buried your head in his embrace, holding onto you tightly. You wanted nothing more than to just stay, but you knew that you were different from before. The old you would have forgiven him without a second thought, but the new you refused, instead, pushing him off, and shaking your head slowly as you headed for the door.

“No, _______!” Lay’s voice echoed out to you.

It rung only too loudly in your hearing, tempting you to go back, but you shook your head softly. Biting your lip, you fled the hallway as quickly as you could, and that was the end.

A few days had passed, and not a single one went without a flurry of text messages, missed calls, and unanswered visits from Yixing. You wanted to run to him, but you thought resolutely, ‘no’. Only when you left would he care. And then if you went back, it would be back to the same, listless routine you were so used to. You were hurt, so hurt, you wanted your feelings to disappear, but you were only left with baseless want, desolately eyeing the small, almost nonexistent pattern printed on your bedroom wall.

The tears came so often, it was hard to tell when you were crying and when you weren’t. It all felt the same now. You wished hard, to be a person who can wake up one morning and forget all the feelings you have for a person. Just hope. You gathered the courage that overwhelmed you and weakened your knees and pulled up your laptop. As it turned on, you tried to stop yourself, but at the same time, you forced yourself.

Softly typing, silent, sniffling, you finally decided. Typing, typing, typing. Tears fell, but still typing.

Enter.

Pause.

A sharp intake of breath.

The anxiety that filled your chest, made you dizzy, but still, you smiled tentatively, your lips quivering ever so slightly, as a heavy tear rolled down the side of your sullen cheek.

Who knew that you would have the same reaction days later, when the confirmation email came, that yes. You were going to study abroad. That yes, you could finally sigh, a relieved breath, and let go of the hurt that stifled a heart begging for air, as it thumped erratically under your breast. That yes, for two years, you could finally laugh with the lighthearted tinkle you’d always dreamed of.

Wiping the tears with your fingers, all that was left was to pack.

Two years passed quickly. You grew, you changed, you laughed, you cried, and it was funny. How people change. That maybe, in an alternate world, you would still be demurely supporting Lay’s career, wasting time. You couldn’t help but laugh aloud, and have the girls in front of you shoot a weird stare.

Clumsily moving among the masses of people, you could hardly see in the dimmed light. The wild screams from the fans kept you aware of your surroundings, which was, undoubtedly a crows of screaming fans. Music started, you turned and watched. And there he was.

To say that it felt like time had stopped is inaccurate, but you could feel a nostalgic pressure form in your chest. Your jilted breath finally managing to flow fluidly, a smile slowly raises to your face, and you watch in silence. Your eyes become wet, but you don’t cry.

You shoot him one last smile, knowing that he couldn’t see you even if you wanted him to, but that was okay. You didn’t need to be seen. This was enough.

Holding your breath, you made your way back, forcing your way behind everyone, mumbling a ‘sorry’ and ‘excuse me’ every so often. Almost out, you suddenly turned around upon hearing a sea of screams and gasps, the large body of girls pushing harder against you. You hold your breath, seeing Yixing, who stared at you.

“Wait-!” he sputtered, as he struggled with the swarm of females, stepping off the large stage. The song stopped.

He’s seen you.

The thought imprinted itself into your comprehension.

You feel a tear drop, surprising you. You touch your face slowly. Letting out a small chuckle, you wipe your tear swiftly. You must have started crying some time ago.

Softly, a gentle smile is offered. A smile that was filled with gratefulness, void of regret, thankful that you’d met, and that he’d changed you. Thank you for letting me fall in love with you, you couldn’t help but put in there with your thoughts to him.

Only this small greeting, you turned back, making the rest of the way out. You finally felt the frigid air of the cool evening nip at your exposed skin. Still grinning, you walked a little further from those who entered late. Finding a small spot, you let yourself cry. In the cold air, you were finally free.

You thought it was funny, again. You didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry, so you did both. Crying, wearing a bright smile on your face, you couldn’t even care if someone wanted to think you were mentally unstable.

Just happiness, nostalgia, a twinge of reminiscent pain, but all of this made you smile. Because you smiled, you finally allowed yourself to cry. And still, you could only think, thank you, thank you, thank you.

With that, you walked home with a settled heart and a tear stained grin. Finally, finally, finally. It was the end. The bittersweet end. And you still managed to whisper to yourself.

“I still love you.”

The end. 8D I guess you could argue that Lay would find you and confess and you would be happy forever and ever, and I’m sure that would have happened. Or maybe not. Fjksjfls. Never know. :D Haha, I should have spent more time on it, but I really wanted to finish. Jfkaljfljaslfsdjflsjlf. Lolsorry. Alright. J Have fun.

When he asks you out [Lay] -Submission

**** yangseungho-butts submitted this scenario as a response to a request I made to my followers- to write a scenario for me. This story is beautiful. She is an extremely good writer. I hope you all will like it as much as I did :) ****

Every step you too to his house made you uneasy. Lay, your best friend invited you over to help him out with his first date. He knew you would be the perfect person to go to for this, and with no question, you said yes. You were excited to be helping him, however you couldn’t help but feel a twinge of pain and heartbreak. Before he became famous, you had a crush on him. You fell for his wit and charming smile, but now, not only would you be giving up your chance with him, but your feelings for him would never be matched.

The whole walk to his dorm, you contemplated on if the girl he was going to date was even good for him. to be honest, you didn’t even much about the girl except that she was the same age as you. You saw the girls he went out with in the past, and you watched them break his heart. You didn’t want him to go through that again. But, you had to stay positive, for Lay’s sake. Once you made it to the dorm, you knocked on the door twice.

“Who is it?” A voice said.

“It’s me, ____” You said.

You heard the door unlocking and in one swift motion, the door opened and you were pulled inside.

“Sorry, but I didn’t want any fan girls coming after you. Were there any?” Lay asked.

You wanted to answer, but you were silenced at Lay's predicament. His bare chest faced you and he was in navy blue boxers. “_____, are you alright?” he asked tilting his head.

“Oh-um i’m fine, sorry.” You managed to say. You caught your breath and then looked to Lay.

“Sorry, I would give you a hug, but I just got out of the shower. Um..Come to my room real quick, I need your help deciding on the perfect outfit."

With a smile, he turned around and walked to his room. You followed and once you got inside his room, you shut the door and took a seat on his bed. He was by his closet and held out two shirts and faced you.

"Alright, which one?” He said.

You looked at both short sleeve shirts, and pointed to the plaid flannel.

“Perfect.” He said.

Despite your sadness, you put on a smile and watched him put on the shirt. The same shirt you gave to him for his birthday last year. You now had to deal with another woman complimenting him on something you bought for him. Just great.

“Oh, should I wear jeans or shorts?” Lay asked.

“Definitely shorts, but the boxer look is in nowadays haha” You replied.

“Very funny ______."

You both laughed as he began to get dressed. You turned away and began looking around the room. If he really liked this girl, she’d be in his room constantly. Would he tell her about you, his best friend? He had to. Your thoughts were broken by Lay’s hand on your shoulder.

"I think i’m ready, how do I look?” He asked.

You gave him an up and down glance and gave a smile.

“You look…great. You ready?” You asked.

He nodded and signaled for you to follow him out of the room. You got up and trailed after him to the living room, where he picked up a picnic basket and then looked to you.

“Hey…can you come with me?” He asked.

“What?” you asked, obviously confused.

“Y-yeah, I need someone to be there with me, to calm my nerves before she shows up. Please?"

He started to pout and gave you puppy dog eyes. You couldn’t say no to him. Not now. You sighed before nodding and walking with him towards the door and out of the dorm building. You both walked to the nearby park. He picked a secluded part of the park with equal amounts of shade and sunlight. You watched him smile the whole time, while inside you were a mess. Stopping at his destination, he took out the checkered blanket from the basket and bent down to spread it out. Your body began to shake, waiting for this mystery girl to show up. What if she was more pretty, you thought. What if she didn’t want you there?

"Lay? Um I think I should go. I mean I don’t want to interrupt-”

“______.” Lay called your name. You looked down to him sitting on the blanket. His head turned to his side to look at you. Your attention was on him. “ I um..I have something to tell you.”

“What is it?” You asked.

“There is no girl coming at this moment.” He said.

Your eyed widened at that news.

“What? Why not?” You asked.

“Because-” But you decided to cut him off.

“She better be show up. You look to good and prepared so much for this for it to go to waste. Did she cancel? Where is she?” You demanded.

You heard him let out a chuckle. You put your hands on your hips.

“Actually ____, she’s right…there.” He said.

You look around, but found no woman anywhere.

“What are you talking about? Where?” You asked.

“Right there.” He said. You watched his arm lift and his finger point to you. Your whole body felt cold and your eyes were wide.

“M-me?” You asked, your voice shaky.

“Yes, you. The girl i’m here to meet is…you.

"b-but you said-I mean- Lay, this isn’t making sense.”

He stood up and faced you. He signed before speaking.

“_____, we’ve been best friends since, well forever. You know me better than anyone else I know, even my band mates. I love hanging out with you and being with you, when I get the chance that is. ___, I knew you had a crush on me and well…I’ve had a crush on you too. I guess you could say that this is my way of asking you out hah. So ___, will you join me on this picnic date?"

Your mouth hung open and your mind went blank. Was he really asking you out? You clutched your heart and looked at him.

"Are you for real right now? Is this a joke?” You asked him.

“Nope, no joke at all. I’ve totally just confessed to you.”

He began to turn red as he looked down. After a few seconds, he lifted his head and extended his hand to you.

“W-will you like to go on a picnic date with him?” He said. This time, you took your hand off of your heart and placed it in Lay’s.

“Of course I will.” You replied, with a smile. He grabbed your hand and a smile went across his face. He knelt down and you followed.

Baby don’t cry [ Lay]

Requested by anon

“Are you leaving already?” you asked as you opened your eyes.

“Yeah.”

“Oh alright,” you said as you got up but stumbled.

“Are you alright?” Lay panicked.

“Yeah, I’m fine. My head hurts a little.”

Lay put his hand on your forehead. “Oh My God, your forehead is really warm. You have a fever. I’ll just stay at home today okay?” He said.

“No, Please don’t. If you don’t show up on Sukira your fans will bash you.” You said holding his hand. “Just go I can take care of myself.”

“Yeah but what about Yu han? Who will take care of him?”

“I’ll be fine. Really! Just go okay?” you said patting his cheek. “Now go. You’re running late.”

Lay left unwillingly.

*************************

**Aaaa Aachooooo** You sneezed for the fifth time in a row,

“Ohh God this is bad. I shouldn’t even go near Yu han. He’s only 3 months old. If he gets sick it’ll be a big problem.”

You heard the front door open.

“________ ah, where are you?”

“In the room.” You responded.

He came in and held you. “Why are you back?”

“Didn’t you hear?”

“Hear what?”

“I was on the show. I wasn’t talking a lot so the fans started sending messages. I told them that I was worried about you and Yu han. You should have seen what happened after words,” he said excitedly,” So many messages came in telling me to go back home . Aren’t my fans just so sweet.”

“Yes, yes they are.” you said and hugged him. “Oh sorry, I shouldn’t be hugging you, You don’t want to get sick now do you.”

“Hahahaha that’s alright,” he said hugging you back.

**Wuuaannn wuaaaa wuuaannnnnnn**

“Ohh Yu han, I should go check on him. Just lay down in bed okay. I’ll make you some soup.”

You did as he said.

“____________,” he called your name.

“Yeah honey.”

“Where are the diapers?”

“Ahahahahaha, they are in the first drawer in the bathroom,” you yelled back.

“Ewwwww you heard him say,” You couldn’t help but laugh. This was the first time he was doing this.

“There I changed it,” he said bringing Yu han to your room.

“Aiiii, you wrapped it the wrong way.”

“Huh,” Lay looked down,” Oh God,” he sighed.

“Okay let me go change it,” he said and left the room again. He came back only a second later. “How about you give me directions and I’ll follow. I’ll make sure to keep him at a distant from you.”

“Uhh okay. So take it off and make sure he doesn’t get cold because then he’ll pee on you.”

“What?” Lay jumped back.

“Hahaha relax. Just do it real fast okay? Now take it off and turn it around.”

“Alright done, now? Now take the two straps at the end and pull them in and then stick them to the sticky part on the other side.”

“Oh got it, **Yayyy**”

You couldn’t stop laughing at the sight of Lay jumping.

“Okay now try patting him to sleep.”

“Yes ma’am”

************************

“Here you go. I made chicken soup for you.”

“Lay, you didn’t have to.”

“No, it was no big deal.”

“No I mean really you didn’t have to. Remember last time you cooked for me, I nearly choked to death.”

“Hahahaha I promise this isn’t bad. I looked up the recipe this time. Try it.” He shoved a spoonful in your mouth.

“Hmm Yumm, this is good,” you said and gave him a cheeky smile. He fed you the entire bowl. He looked so sweet. You wanted to hug him and kiss him like he was a little teddy bear but you controlled yourself.

** Wuuannnnn Wu wu Wuaannnn**

“Oh no, not again.” He sighed. He got up to check on Yu han.

 “I think he’s hungry. “

“Okay, go in the kitchen and warm some milk. And when you give it to him make sure you check it first. It should not be too hot.”

“Alright,” he yelled back from the other room. You felt bad. He wasn’t used to any of this. You did all of this, everyday. His efforts were making you emotional.

“He won’t go to sleep. I fed him and he still won’t go to sleep.” Lay said poking his head in the room.

“Did you help him burp?” you asked.

“No.”

“Okay, pat him on the back and make sure you have a towel..” before you finished Lay yelled.

“Ohhh Noo, he spilt milk on me.”

“Hahahah, get use to it. Now play with him for a while so he goes to sleep.”

Lay brought a bunch of toys to your room and sat on the couch.

“A goo goo goo goo. Here you go. Aaa Aaaa. No, Nooooo. Hahahaha” Lay made weird sounds while playing. “ This is fun.” He said looking at you.

You were smiling. The moment was so precious. Father and son together like this.

“What are you thinking?” Lay asked.

“Nothing,” You said wiping your tears.

“Awww, are you having an emotional moment?”

“Yeah, maybe,” you pouted.

***********************************

By the end of the day Lay was exhausted. “I put him to sleep.” He said falling on the bed besides you.

“You look so exhausted,” you said running your fingers through his hair. “I’m sorry you had to do all of this.

“Don’t say that,” he said holding your hand.

“If anything, I had a great experience. I feel like I don’t spend time with my son at all. And I barely have time for you now a days.  I feel bad.”

“It’s alright baby. Things will change slowly,” you said with a comforting smile.

“I love you.”

“I love you too,” you replied.

“Just get well soon. I don’t like seeing you sick like this.” He placed his hand on your face.

“I really want to kiss you right now, but I’ll wait,” you said smiling.

“Hahaha,” he leaned in and kissed you on the cheek.

Its a good thing he confessed [Lay]

** Special appearance: Luhan**

Requested by anon

“Is he always so quiet?” you asked Luhan.

“I’m afraid so,” he replied.

“I like that,” you said and shot him one of your cheesy smiles.

“He’s a total opposite of you. You’re so playful and he’s always serious.” Luhan remarked.

You got closer to Luhan, stopping only inches away from his ears, “Even better,” you whispered.

It was that moment that you knew; Lay was the person you wanted to be with.

*********************************

 One year later

“So what are we doing tonight?,” you asked Lay on the phone.

“Anything you want,” he replied.

“You always say that. You don’t ever plan anything. ? Just surprise me tonight okay?,” you say trying to drop hints.

************************************

You knock on his front door, hoping that he remembered. You had your finger crossed. Lay opened the door and let you in.  “Hey, what took you so long?” he asked.

“I was choosing the right dress to wear,” you said, smiling. “So what are we doing tonight?”

“I rented this really cool movie. We could watch that,” he said.

You were disappointed. Really, really disappointed, but you didn’t want to look week. Lay was always so strong. So good at hiding his feelings. He had never bothered you with his personal problem even though you wanted him to do that once in a while. He was a perfect boyfriend. He gave you anything you asked for. He never even got annoyed at your requests. The only problem was, he never said he loved you. He cared about you a lot and you knew that but sometimes you needed that satisfaction by hearing it from him. You guys had had these conversations before. And every time he had promised to be more expressive but, he just did not know how to. From his point of view he thought he was doing a good job. It were his efforts that made you fall in love with him more and more every day.

“______, “ he said waving at you.

“Huh..!” you said shaking your head and putting it back on his chest.

“What are you thinking?” he asked with his soft voice.

“Nothing, just watching the movie.” You replied.

“Okay,” he said and went back to watching the movie. You wanted him to not just stop there. You wanted him to ask you again but he didn’t bother. The two of you continued to watch the movie in silence.

“______” he called your name again.

“Yes Lay,” you replied.

Lay got up and pulled a small box out of his pocket. It was a wrapped in a lovely green paper with a golden ribbon tied to it. He offered it to you.

“What’s this?” you asked.

“You didn’t think I’d forget your birthday now would I?” he said smiling. It was such an emotional moment. You wanted to cry and sure enough a tear rolled down your cheek. He wiped it, “Go ahead and open it.”

You did as he said. It was a necklace. A beautiful gold necklace with the letter ‘L’ hanging to it.

“Just so everybody knows that you’re mine,” he said. You expected him to lean in and kiss you and make the moment perfect but it was Lay, he didn’t do stuff that normal boyfriends did. Nevertheless this was more than enough for you. More than you had ever expected.

******************************

“Look at it. Isn’t it beautiful?” you said showing off your necklace to Luhan.

“Here I got you something too,” he said giving you a bag. “Don’t open it yet. Just go home and look at it okay?”

“But I wanna look at it now,” you made your classic puppy dog face.

“Listen I want to tell you something,” Luhan said with a serious tone.

“Sure, go ahead.”

“We’ve been friends for 3 years now. But recently, there’s this weird feeling inside of me. I don’t know what to call it. I know you’re perfectly happy with Lay and he is my brother too but this feeling won’t go away. Maybe it’s just infatuation and it might go away with time. We tell each other everything so I wanted to tell you this,” he hesitated a bit,” I think I’ve started liking you.”

Nothing was making sense until he said the last line. You were dumbfounded. Both of you stared at each other for a while then you finally spoke putting your hand on his cheek

“Aww Luhan, honey I am so sorry but you know I’m with Lay. I just hope it’s just an infatuation and it really does go away with time. Maybe, maybe we can find you a girl so to get your mind off of this?” you said looking at him for an answer. You suddenly saw Lay standing at the door. You had no idea how long he’d been there but he looked hurt. He advanced towards the both of you, took your hand and dragged you along.

“I am so sorry Lay, “Luhan yelled from behind but Lay was too furious to respond.

********************************

He hadn’t looked at you for one second all the way home. He opened the door hastily, went to his room and made you sit on the bed. The two of you sat in silence. You were really scared. You didn’t want to lose him. Then suddenly he turned around and hugged you tightly. He was crying. Your heart sank. That was the last thing you ever wanted to do; make him cry.

“Lay I am so..”

“I’m sorry,” he cut you off.

You were surprised. Was he alright? Why was he apologizing?

“I’m sorry for never being around when you wanted to hang out so you had to hang out with Luhan. I am sorry for never being expressive. I’m sorry for not showing you off to the world.  I am sorry for not letting people know that you are mine and mine only and I am so so sorry for never telling you how much I love you. All the things you do for me; I can never repay them. You used to be so full of life and ever since I came into your life you try so hard every day to act more mature. Just so you can please me.  I don’t want you to do that anymore. I want you to be yourself and there’s no way yo can do that round me. But, but I don’t want to let go off you either.” He buried his face in his hands. “I am so confused right now. Luhan is such an amazing guy. He probably can make you more happy than I can but,” he looked up at you,” But I love you ____________, I really do.”

You wiped his tears and hugged him. “Please don’t say that. It hurts me when you cry. I do all of this because I want to be with you. I know you’re the one Lay. You really are.  Whatever you do for me is more than enough.  I can live with that as long as I know that you love me. Luhan is my best friend. I can never think of him this way. You want you know why? Because I love you, always have and always will” you said pulled away, now looking straight into his eyes.

He leaned in and kissed you. This wasn’t a norm for you guys so the kiss meant a lot more to you than just a simple touching of the lips. You kissed him back. You could tell how passionate it was and it made you want to cry with joy. You put your head on his shoulder and he held your hand in his, using his other hand to define the structure of your fingers. His touch made your whole body tremble. It felt good.

“It’s a good think Luhan confessed,” you said smiling,” It brought the two of us closer. And It finally made you say what I had been longing to hear.”

Lay laughed. “Yeah, a good thing it was.” He said and kissed you on your neck.

“You’re not mad at him are you?” you asked hesitating.

“Of course not. It’s not really his fault.  Besides I know he will move on soon. He’s been into similar episodes before. “

“And me?”

“What about you?”

“Are you mad at me?” you asked looking straight into his pure eyes.

He leaned in and whispered, “ Is it really your fault that you’re so irresistible?” he said with a witty smile.

You couldn’t stop yourself and you pressed your lips against his. He kissed you back. You could feel him smile and that made you happy. You were very happy. You felt like a princess.

Your heart whispered to you, ‘Told you he was the one.’
