A lovely story submitted by leenadya. I hope you guys like it :)

You’re also a full time student so you’re very busy but that didn’t stop you from doing what you like which is writing songs. Since you hardly have time to keep writing songs, the Manager of EXO K decided to ask you to stay with the EXO K members in their house.

Getting back together again… [Suho]

Requested by anon

You cleared your table once again, making sure there was nothing left on it. You’d forgotten to take your keys back home the day before and had to come all the way to get them.

“Keys, purse, phone and jacket, okay,” you counted everything to make sure one last time before leaving your cubicle. You worked at SM Entertainment as the head coordinator for Super Junior’s concerts in various countries. You had started off with a much smaller job and worked your way up. It was your 4th year working there. You loved it but you were starting to get tired of it. You needed a change.

“____________,” someone called your name, just as you were about to exit the building. You knew exactly who it was but what was he doing there at that time of the night. You turned around to see the small figure running towards you.

“Minsuk, what are you doing here?” you asked, picking him up.

“Appa picked me up from school today so I stayed here all day,” he said, moving his eyes from side to side.

“Oh Appa picked you up hmmm,” you said with a big smile and ran your hands through his hair.

“Minsuk where are….” Suho stopped outside the practice room seeing him in your hands. “Oh I’m sorry. Was he disturbing you?” Suho asked walking towards the two of you.

“Oh no, not at all,” you replied handing Minsuk over. You immediately looked away. Making eye contact with Suho had been the hardest thing since you first started work at the company. It hadn’t changed ever since. Mainly because it brought back bad memories…

“Okay so I’m going to go now,” you said taking a leave.

*******************************************************

You made a cup of hot coco and settled in bed to watch your favorite movie. It was hard to focus that night. You started to regret bumping into Suho. You always made sure never to come across him. It only lead to him trying to act as normal as possible and you avoiding eye contact.

“Arghhhh, what’s wrong with me,” you said pulling your hair. “Why did I have to see him?”

You tried to avoid old memories from coming back but they flooded in one by one.

You still remembered your first date with him in a small café outside of your school. You were nervous so he held your hand to comfort you. Two years passed in a breeze but the only thing that changed between you and him was his love. It had increased every day. Then one day he had to leave for debut and you never saw him again, until 5 years later. He had a son and a beautiful wife. It broke you completely because all those years you had kept hope alive. Hope, that he would come back. You thought many times to leave the company, but you couldn’t. You needed money to survive in that harsh city. You were on your own. You made a conscious decision to make sure you never crossed his path. The first time he saw you, he almost chocked on his drink. He hadn’t expected it at all. In the four years you had worked there, you and Suho had barely exchanged any words besides the usual head nods or when he came to get Minsuk before going home, sometimes. His son however was very friendly with you. He was often around so he hung out with you.

You shook your head to get rid of the memories and went back to watching the movie. That is what you always did. Whatever happened was in the past. You never wanted to bring it up again. Sure, you had lots of questions you wanted to ask him. Why he never came back? Why he never tried to contact you? Did he even remember you? But would those help anyone? It would only make him uncomfortable and, hurt you. He had done you wrong but that’s how life worked. You didn’t always get what you wanted.

You forced a smile on your face to stop the tears from forming and concentrated on the movie. After all being strong was all you could do.

*****************************************************

“Job hunting at work _________. Tsk tsk,” your friend said hitting you on the back of your head.

“Aish, don’t say it out a loud. I’ll get in trouble,” you tried to shush him.

Once again, you were deeply engrossed in your job search when someone came up behind you.

“Job hunting?” he said.

“Oh Gosh I told you not to..,” you stopped half through realizing that it was a different voice. You turned around immediately to find Suho standing behind you. “Oh um.. what are you doing over here?” you asked.

“I need a favor,” he said casually.

“What?” you asked, keeping your eyes fixed on the laptop screen.

“If you’re not busy after 4 o clock could you pick up Minsuk from school and take him back home? I can’t do that since our practice will run late.”

“Why me? Isn’t anyone else free?”

“I’m afraid not. And besides Minsuk is comfortable around you. I wouldn’t have asked if it wasn’t absolutely necessary. He wasn’t feeling very well this morning so I’m really worried about him.”

You thought for a while before finally nodding your head.

“Gomawo,” he thanked you and left. Your thoughts kept poking you that he was just using you but your heart told you that it was the right thing to do. Not for Suho but for Minsuk. You’d grown attached to the little kid ever since his mother died. He had completely lost it but you helped him through it by staying by his side.

**************************************************

“Why didn’t Appa come today?” Minsuk asked as you both walked to the corner of the street hand in hand.

“Appa had some work to do today,” you said and began looking for a taxi.

**Aaaaachoo** - Minsuk sneezed.

“Are you still not feeling well?” you asked.

“Aniyo,” he shook his head. You realized that his hands were warmer than usual too.

“When we go back home, you’re going to rest okay?” you instructed.

“Okay,” he said bobbling his head. “But you have to make me my favorite soup.”

“Fine,” you said picking him up and planting a kiss on his cheek.

“Aish, why do you do that?” he asked making a face. “Appa does the same thing, every morning.”

“You don’t like it?” you asked. He shook his head with a mischievous smile.  You planted another kiss on his cheek.

“Aaaaan,” he whined.

“I can’t help it Minsuk,” you said tickling him. The sweet noise of his laughter made you more than happy. You didn’t quite know why so but you were glad that you felt that way.

***************************************

“Alright, now go hurry up and change. I’ll get your soup ready okay?” you said pushing him into the bathroom.

It took you more time than it usually did to make soup. You didn’t know where each ingredient was and more than half weren’t even there. There was next to no food in the fridge. You were surprised as to how the two lived. The living room wasn’t the cleanest place either. Papers, old mails, magazines, even some cloths were scattered around all over the place.

“The soup’s ready,” you announced walking into the room. Minsuk had tucked himself in bed and was watching TV. He clapped his hands with joy smelling the food. You fed him one spoon at a time. His eyes didn’t leave yours for even a second.

“Is there something you want to say?” you asked him. He shook his head and opened his mouth for the next feed. When you were finally done you gave him a quick peck once again. This time he didn’t resist.

“I’m going to clean this place up a little bit okay?” you told him. He went back to watching TV.

You didn’t remember Suho being that dirty. In fact if anything, he was a very organized person. The death of his wife must have struck him pretty hard. You put all the dirty clothes in one rack and placed the clean ones in the closet. You organized the magazines and sprayed air freshener in the room. Dusted the tiny book shelf and cleaned the dinner table. It took you almost an hour to finish all of it. It was getting dark outside. You went into the room to check on Minsuk one last time. His eyes were still fixed on the TV screen.

“Minsuk honey, I think it’s time for bed.” You took the remote from his hand.

“Will you read me a bed time story?” he asked, holding your arm.

“Sure,” you said, not being able to deny his request. You were only two minutes into the story when Minsuk fell asleep. His short breathing pattern, tired expressions and soft cheeks made you want to kiss him once more but you knew he’d wake up so you controlled yourself. Instead, you ran your fingers through his hair.

“You’re still here?” Suho said, causing you to jump up in surprise.

“When did you get here?” you whispered, clenching your fist to your chest.

“Just now. You left the front door unlocked.”

“Oh, Mianhamnida,” you apologized.

“When did he fall asleep?” he asked.

“Just now,” you replied. Before he could say anything you decided to leave.

“___________, Suho called after you. It was the first time in many years he’d called you by your nickname. Your heart sank for a second. You calmed yourself and turned around half way.

“I’m sorry I put you through all of this,” he said.

“Oh no no, that’s fine. I had a good time with..”

“That’s not what I meant,” he cut you. What else could he mean then? You began to think, a little confused at his statement.

“I meant..,” he began but then trailed off. He didn’t know how what else to say. He wanted to apologize for what he had done to you but he couldn’t form the right words. In fact he hadn’t even planned to say what he had just blurted out.

“Get back home safely,” he sighed.

Well there was one thing that hadn’t changed. His inability to express himself…

You nodded and quickly left.

Minsuk shifted in bed but suddenly woke up. “Did ________, leave?” he asked

“Don’t call her by her name,” Suho said sitting beside him in bed.

“Then can I call her Umma?” he asked.

“What?” Suho’s eyes widened with surprise but were quickly replaced by anger. “Are you okay Minsuk?” he asked rather sternly. Minsuk clenched his fist and curled up hearing his father’s tone.

“Why can’t she be my umma?” he asked blinking his big brown eyes repeatedly.

“Minsuk be quiet,” Suho shook him lightly. The child couldn’t bear his father’s reaction and began crying. Suho’s heart softened and he tried to hold Minsuk once again but he shrugged his appa away and hid his face under the covers.

“Minsuk honey, why are you saying such stuff today?” Suho asked, trying to comfort him.

“Because I miss my umma,” he mumbled. A sudden tinge of pain ran through Suho’s heart. He was unable to respond. All he could do was pat his son to sleep.

************************************************

A week had passed and Minsuk hadn’t come to visit you at work at all. You hadn’t really seen Suho around either but that was nothing new to you. You were a little worried though. You wanted to go ask Suho but considering he would find it strange, you dropped the idea.

On Sunday morning of that week, you finally received a call from Minsuk.

“Can you come over and visit?” he asked you over the phone.

“But why Minsuk?” you asked.

“Ah, I don’t feel so good.” He said and then faked a cough. You panicked and immediately ran out of the house to see him.

**************************************************

You knocked on the door lightly. Suho opened the door after a long time.

“What are you doing over here?” he asked with an unpleasant face.

“Oh, umm Minsuk isn’t feeling well so I came to check on him,” you said nervously.

“Minsuk is just fine,” Suho replied.

“___________,” Minsuk called you, running out of the room. You kneeled down to great him and then pulled his cheeks.

“__________, can we talk?” Suho asked you.

“Ye,” you nodded.

“Come with me,” he said.

“Why not here?” you asked. He glared at you with a hardened expression. You let go off Minsuk’s hand and followed him into his room. He closed the door, making you even more scared. You knew whatever he was going to say was not going to be something you wanted to hear.

“Why are you trying to find excuses to come over here?” he asked you.

“Huh, what do..” you began.

“I know what you’re trying to do,” he raised his voice. “If you are going to put wrong thoughts in Minsuk’s mind than I suggest you rather not see him. I could never expect such a thing out of you.”

“What are you trying to say?” you cut him, obviously really confused.

“Do you know what Minsuk asked me the other day?” he said grabbing your arms. He completely took you by surprise. Did he still think he had some sort of power or control over you? If you weren’t mistaken, he had left you a long time ago. There was nothing between the two of you. How dare he hold you?

“He asked me if you could be his umma? I can’t believe you. Do you really think there’s still something between us? Are you trying to use my son to get to me again? I never thought so little of you _________. It’s pathetic to even think of something like this. I’m appalled by your..”

You suddenly shrugged yourself away from his grip. This is what he thought of you after all he had put you through. He didn’t even care about what he had done. Sure, many years had passed to that thing. He probably didn’t even remember the details since he’d moved on but what about you? You still remembered each and every detail. And now he was blaming you for coaxing his son. How could he? You didn’t even have words to defend yourself. Tears began gushing out of your eyes. You’d held them back long enough but that day it felt like Suho had pierced your heart. All this time that you hadn’t asked him for any explanations were just a waste. He could care less about how you felt. You were a fool to think that deep down he may feel a little bit guilty but that day he showed you that he didn’t. To him, the relationship he had with you was not real. How could it be? The two of you were merely, high school students, young lost and in love.

That day, for the first time, you lifted your head and looked Suho straight in the eyes. You couldn’t see pass them. You didn’t know what he was thinking. You wiped your tears and turned around to leave. Opening the door, you stopped and fixed a smile on your face so as to not upset Minsuk.

“I never meant for any of this to happen,” you mumbled and quickly opened the door. Suho stood their watchingyou, hug Minsuk and pat his head.

“Will you come back tomorrow?” he asked. You pulled a smile and shook your head.

“Why?” he asked.

“Because I have work. But I promise I’ll send some chocolates for you okay?” you said. The next second, Minsuk hugged you tightly and then kissed you on the cheek. You kissed him back and then ran out the door. There was no point in staying there. Suho had made it pretty clear.

“Did you call her here?” Suho asked Minsuk. He nodded his head but kept his eyes fixed to the ground. For the past few days Minsuk hadn’t talked to his father much.

“Why?” Suho asked.

“Because I wanted her to see you so the two of you could fall in love and then she can become my umma.” Suho didn’t even know how to respond. His son’s thoughts were so innocent and pure.

“Did _________ ever say something about this to you?” he asked. The child shook his head. “Then how did you come up with such a thing?” Suho asked.

“Because I know she likes you. She is always scared of looking at you.” Suho’s jaw dropped in surprise. Was his son really seven years old? How could he see things Suho never could.

“I want umma,” Minsuk said hugging his appa. The child’s words had moved Suho so much that even he began to cry. A little part of him regretted for yelling at you and the other part wept for making his son’s life miserable. ‘How could I be so selfish?’- he thought to himself. ‘I was thinking about only myself this whole time.’

**************************************************

You decided not to go to work for the next few days. You had to get your resignation letter ready. You had thought a lot the before finally making that decision. It was better for both you and Suho that you left. That way, you won’t hurt yourself and Suho wouldn’t be uncomfortable. Besides you’d been longing for a change and Suho just made it easier for you to make that decision.

You heard a knock on your front door. You looked at your clock. It was almost 9 o clock. Who would visit you at that hour on a working night?

You walked to the door and slowly opened it. Your face hardened upon seeing Suho stand on the other end. You stared at him for a long time.

“Can I come in?” he asked. You moved aside so he could enter. The two of you walked into the living room. He glanced at the resignation letter that lay on the coffee table.

“So you really are leaving?” he asked, sitting next to you on the couch.

You nodded, clenching your hands nervously. You hated the fact that he was the only one in the entire world who could make you feel that way. You’d never let another person into your heart like that.

“_________,” he began. “I’m sorry about what I said the other day.”

“It’s okay you don’t have to,” you said getting up. He held your hand pulling you to sit down again.

“No let me say this. That day I got mad at you because I was mad at myself. I’ve been mad at myself ever since I saw you again. I hate myself for what I did to you. You probably think I don’t remember anything but I do. Each and everything and it hurts me. I was stupid for doing what I did to you. I got too caught up in my fame. It’s like the company changed me. I didn’t feel the need to contact you because I became arrogant. And now I see you hiding yourself from me, never making eye contact as if you’ve done something wrong. That should be me not you ______________. I’m the one who should be guilty here. That day when Minsuk said he wanted you to be his mother, it made me angry. I was mad because I had done you injustice. Minsuk reminded me of that. I wanted you to go away so I wouldn’t have to think about it but how stupid was I. I didn’t even care about your feelings and blamed you for everything. I am so sorry. I know my words don’t make sense and it’s because I’m a mess. I don’t have anybody in my life besides Minsuk. I feel so lonely and worn out. I need someone. Minsuk needs someone…” He stopped upon hearing your soft sniffles. He had no idea when you had started crying. It hurt him even more. He knew he didn’t deserve you. You were far too good for him and yet there he was begging you to forgive him.

He held your hand and then pulled you into a side hug.

“I want you to take care of Minsuk ….and ….me,” he whispered. “I know you still have feelings for me.”

“What about you Suho? Do you have feelings for me? Or are you only saying this because you want Minsuk to be happy?” you asked pulling away. You had never demanded answers for all the questions you had for him but that day you wanted to know.

“I loved my wife a lot..,” he said. “But .. that doesn’t change the fact that you were the first person I loved.” He held your hands once again. “I promise to take care of you __________. I’ll never make you feel unloved ever again.”

You were surprised as to how quickly your heart forgave him. That little part of you that hated him was slowly fading away. You felt pathetic for giving in so easily. But was it really your fault for loving him so much? Love had no boundaries. Suho slipped his hands behind your waist, forcing you to turn around and then embraced you.

“I’m still waiting _________,” he whispered desperately.

“Ye,” you whispered back and buried your face into his chest. He ran his hands on your back to comfort you.

“I promise you, you won’t regret this. You’ll never be hurt again,” he said kissing you on your temple. You tightened your grip on him letting him know that you were ready to trust him again.

Vow [Suho]

Requested by anon

You turned around to look at the clock once again. 1: 05 am. Just then the door clicked open and Suho entered the apartment. He guessed you were asleep and so tip toed into the room.

“Why are you still up? he asked with a surprised look on his face.

“I always stay up late and wait for you, you just don’t know it,” you said turning. Your back was facing him now.

Suho sighed and stood there for a while trying to think of what to say but nothing came up. He eventually gave up and walked into the bathroom. Three years ago when you guys got married, if Suho made the same mistake, he would slide in the bed besides you and shower you with kisses. He would then make his cute little puppy dog face and tickle you till you forgave him. You missed that. For some reason it just wasn’t the same any more. It wasn’t that both of you weren’t trying. You were but something felt like it was missing.

Suho came out of the bathroom and quietly slid in bed besides you. He covered his head under the sheets and before you knew it, he was in deep sleep.

**************************************************

You didn’t bother getting out of bed and making breakfast because every time you did Suho never ate. He was always in a hurry in the mornings.

“__________ah, are you not making breakfast?” Suho asked while putting on his shirt.

You didn’t respond but got up to make it for him. You kept looking at the door of your room to see when Suho would come out. If he’d made you get out of bed to make breakfast than he’d better eat it too. What you didn’t know was that his manager had called him and they were discussing something important.

He finally came out of the room in a rush still on the phone. “Hey, I’ll see you tonight okay?” he said and left.

You couldn’t believe it. Did he really just do that to you? You were mad, really mad but you controlled it. Both you and Suho had a very calm personality. You guys didn’t like interfering into each other’s matters. You never fought either. If something bothered you or him, you would talk it out. You took a deep breath and settled down on the couch. Just like all the other days, you ate breakfast by yourself.

******************************************************

Your eyes were fixed at the TV screen.  You didn’t know that Suho had entered the house and was now standing in the living room looking at you.

“Ahem ahem,” he cleared his throat making you jump.

“Oh when did you get here?” you asked clenching your fist close to your heart.

“Just a while ago. Why are you still up? It’s getting late.”

“I was just watching this movie. It’s really interesting.” You said with a smile on your face. He came and sat beside you. He soon got bored of the movie and turned on his laptop.

“_________ah, turn down the volume. Umma is calling on skype.” You pouted but didn’t let him see it and turned the volume down.

“Suhooooo,” his mom said cheerfully as her face popped on the screen.

“Anneyong Umma,”

“Annyeong. Where is _________?” she asked.

“She’s right here.” He said pulling you towards him so you could fit into the camera too. A big smile appeared on your mother in law’s face.

“So, what are you guys doing today?” she asked. Her face was so lit up as if she was expecting something big from you guys. You didn’t quite understand and neither did Suho.

“Nothing, just sitting around watching TV,” he replied.

“TV? Is that your idea of a special night?” she asked.

“Special night?” he repeated with confusion clearly visible on his face.

“Oh God, you guys, don’t mess around with me,” she chuckled. “It’s your wedding anniversary today. I’m sure Suho has something secretly planned for you,” she said and winked at you.

“Ahhh yeah,” both you and Suho said nervously and forced a laugh.

“We have to go now, actually,” he said.

“Annyeong,” she waved through the screen. You guys waved back and Suho immediately turned off the computer. Both you and Suho looked at each other and the quickly looked away. You couldn’t imagine you guys had forgotten your own anniversary. It was embarrassing. Suho shifted sides and sat in silence. You didn’t know what to do either so you got up and went into the room. You’d pretended that it didn’t bother you in front of him but as soon as you sat down on your bed, tears came rolling out of your eyes like a waterfall.

What was missing? You kept asking yourself that question. You missed the old him and the old you when you guys laughed together, talked for hours at night, went out for dinners. He would occasionally surprise you with flowers or take you to one of his practices. Why had all of that changed? Why had the two of you slowly started to drift apart? Why didn’t he smile at you before going to sleep and why had you lost all the motivation to cook for him, dress nicely for him or at least make an effort to ask him what was wrong. Had you guys gotten married too early or were you just not right for each other. Your heart sank at the thought of that. You knew that out all the things that you didn’t know, you knew one thing for sure and that was that you loved him.

Suho came into the room after a long time. You were still sitting on the bed. You quickly wiped your tears and turned your face the other way. He sat beside you but kept his eyes fixed on the ground.

“What’s gotten into us ________,” he said, his voice sounding tired.

“I don’t know!” you whispered back.

Both you and him stayed quiet. This was the problem. Neither him nor you, knew what to say. You could see that he was playing with his fingers. That’s what he did when he was nervous. Was he thinking of something to say to you?

“I don’t think we should be together anymore,” he said.

“What?” you gasped. You were trying hard to make sense out of his words.

Suho nodded and turned around to face you. He held your hands. “We don’t have that spark anymore,” he said. You could see how hurt he was too. He didn’t want to say it but even he knew that there was something missing. You wanted to say something and this time you were actually going to make an effort but your tongue refused to move. There were definitely some problems but this is not how you wanted to end it.

Suho got up. His hands slipped out of yours. He grabbed a pillow and walked out of the room.

**************************************************

The next two days passed quickly. Neither of you exchanged a single word. A couple of glances here and there but that was it.

“Here,” he said handing some papers to you one morning.

You looked at them and then back at him knowing exactly what they were. You’d secretly cried enough the past two nights. You remained calm and took them from him.

“All you need to do is sign them and don’t worry this apartment will remain yours. I’ll move out,” he said without looking at you.

“There’s no need for that,” you paused for a little while. “I’m going back to Busan.”

Suho’s heart sank. He didn’t quite know why. He was leaving you anyways so why did it matter where you went.

“Why didn’t you tell me before?” he asked.

“I wasn’t sure until last night,” you replied taking the papers from his hand.

**********************************************************

“What’s wrong?” Kris asked placing his head on Suho’s shoulder.

“Nothing’s wrong. Why would you say that?” Suho tried to sound defensive.

“You don’t really seem into the practice today.” Kris scanned Suho’s face.

“I’m fine,” he said with an annoyed face and turned around. Kris was surprised at his reaction but didn’t want to say anything. Suho sat down in the corner and buried his head in his hands while resting his elbow on his knees.

An image appeared in his head. It was a girl sitting by the window. She used to sit there every day at 5 o clock and read a book. She would look out the window occasionally and smile at the birds singing on the tree branches. Giggle a little and tuck her hair behind her ear. She would then go back to reading her book. That girl was you. Suho used to watch you do that every day. You lived on the road he used to take to go back to his dorm. He would watch you smile while reading the book. It was this smile he had fallen for, it was that tucking of the hair behind your ear and that giggle that had made him fall head over heels for you.

“Oh my God! What am I doing?” Suho said to himself and suddenly looked up. Everybody turned around and looked at him.

“I need to go. I’m sorry,” he said getting up and ran out of the room.

“_________, please don’t go. Please don’t go.” He kept repeating to himself while driving.

*******************************************************

You looked around the room one more time. You’d lived in this room for a long time. You thought it was going to be yours forever. Your heart felt heavy and your legs seemed weak. Your eyes were burning. You closed them and took a step dragging the bag with one hand and holding the divorce papers in the other. It was a good thing Suho wasn’t there. If you saw him, you would have broken down instantly.

“______________,” Suho called your name as loud as he could. He didn’t wait for a response but ran inside. You were stunned by his sudden appearance. He came forward and hugged you tightly.

“Please don’t leave. Please don’t” he said while shaking his head.

“It’s too late now,” you said pulling away. You lifted your hand to give him the papers.

“These papers don’t mean anything, they…”

“Yes they do Suho, It’s..”

“They don’t. _________ please!” he said embracing you once again. “I can’t believe I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life. I don’t know what happened to me. I wasn’t thinking straight. I should have tried to think of a solution. We could have talked instead I said something really stupid. I can’t do this, you can’t do this.” He knew his words weren’t making sense at all but all he wanted to do was to stop you from leaving. “________ please don’t leave me. I love you, always have and always will.” He tightened his arms around you to the point that it hurt. You liked it. You hadn’t been this close to him in forever. He suddenly pulled away and took the papers out of your hands. The next second, it was on the floor torn into thousands of pieces. He shook his head as tears rolled out of his eyes. You’d never seen him like this. He wasn’t really the one to express himself. He really had messed up this time but he was ready to fix it and you trusted him. You looked at the ground and then back at him.

You knew that if you left now you were going to regret it for the rest of your life. You took a step and then tightly wrapped your arms around him placing your head on his chest. A tear rolled down your cheek and fell on his shirt. You let out a sniffle which ran like a knife through Suho’s heart. He knew how much he’d hurt you. He kissed you on your forehead and vowed to never hurt you again. He was going to make it right no matter how long it took him.

“Hey, hey, hey be careful. Don’t pick that up.” Suho lunged towards you and grabbed the pile of books.

“They’re not that heavy Suho,” you said, trying to calm him.

“I don’t care if they’re not heavy. You’re in your 8th month and I want our little princess to be perfectly safe.”

“Oh Gosh!,” you sighed and settled on the couch. An idea suddenly crossed your mind. “Hey, wait does that mean if I ask you to cook dinner tonight because I’m tired, you’ll do it?” you asked with a cheeky smile on your face.

He chuckled and then scratched his head. “Sure!”

“Okay, then surprise me with something,” you winked at him.

He sighed and slowly walked into the kitchen. You couldn’t help but smile at his innocence. He had been treating you like this ever since your 6 month started. You were really enjoying this. Memories of his first reaction when you told him you were pregnant started coming back. The file that he had been holding in his hand fell on the ground out of surprise. His teary eyes scanned your face to see if you were bluffing but you weren’t. You really were pregnant and he was going to become a father. Both of you had waited for this moment long enough. His second reaction was to call the boys and give them the good news and make them jealous. Indeed, they were jealous but also very happy for the two of you.

“_________,” Suho waved his hand into your face.

“Huh!?” you shook your head. You didn’t even realize that he had been standing there for the past five minutes staring at you smile into blank space.

“What were you thinking about?”

“Oh nothing,” you said shaking your head.  He offered his hand to you and placed the other one behind your back to give you support.

The two of you walked towards the table. The dinner plate was covered with another plate.

“Okay, please don’t get mad at me okay?” he said closing one of his eyes and slowly replacing the lid. You chuckled.

“Scrambled eggs?” you said.

“Ye, I don’t know how to make anything else so I tried to make an omelet but then I flipped it and it broke so I made scrambled eggs,” he said in one breath. You were looking at him with the biggest smile on your face, instead of responding.

“What?” he shrugged his shoulders. You shook your head and leaned in to give him a kiss.

“I love you so much,” you said pulling away.

“I love you too,” he replied.

*************************************************************

“Are you ready?” Suho asked for the fifth time.

“Give me one more minute,” you replied.

“I still don’t think you should go,” he said walking towards you. Concern and worry was clearly visible on his face.

“I’ll be fine,” you placed your hand on his chest to reassure him. “Besides we still have a month till the delivery so nothing will happen. I just really want our daughter to see you perform on such a big stage.”

A smile appeared on his face. “Alright, but be extra careful.”

**************************************************************

“Oh my God, you brought __________?” Chanyeol said excitedly while running towards you and Suho.

“Calm down oppa,” you tried to stop him.

“Yeah I warned her several times but she insisted,” Suho said with a serious tone. “Anyways, could you take her to the front row seats and have one of the assistants sit with her.”

“Oh Gosh! Suho relax,” you pouted.

“Come on _________,” Chanyeol offered his hand.

You could hear the fan girls cheering for Exo. It hurt your ears and you started having second thoughts about coming to the show.

“If you need anything, just ask one of the assistants and they’ll get it for you,” Chanyeol instructed before leaving.

The show soon started and after a while the Exo boys walked up on the stage. The music started and the guys began dancing. This was going to be their good bye performance for their album since the new once was coming out soon. You clapped your hands like the other fan girls as the guys danced. Suho was busy with the performance. He didn’t look at you at all. You waved your hands in the air and closed your eyes to enjoy the music.

“Aaaaa ouch,” you cried in pain suddenly. You looked down and realized that your water broke and you were in labor. The assistant panicked and held your hand.

“Aaaaaaaah,” you cried again. Your eyes searched for Suho. He was looking right back at you. It was his queue but he missed the beat. He was panicking on stage. Kai looked at him and then at you. He covered up for Suho and pushed him to go help you.

You drifted in and out of consciousness. You were confused, why it was happening so early and why it hurt so much. You felt two strong hands grab you and after that everything blacked out.

*******************************************************

“__________, wake up, wake up,” you heard someone say repeatedly. It was Suho’s voice. You opened your eyes and a hazy image of him walking besides you appeared. The doors opened, the nurses took you inside and instructed Suho to stay outside.

“She can’t push. Her body’s too weak,” you heard one of the nurses yell.

“C section?” the other one questioned. Your eyes closed once again.

********************************************************

“_________,” a soft voice called your name. You opened your eyes and this time you could see a little better. Suho was standing besides the bed holding your little princess.

“How long was I a sleep?” you asked with a meek voice.

“A while,” he said sitting beside you. “Do you want to hold her?”

You nodded. Suho helped you sit up and then placed your daughter in your arms. You couldn’t believe it. She was a part of you till yesterday and now she was in front of your eyes. Her beautiful little red cheeks, pink lips and rosy red skin made you cry. Suho wiped your tears and then his own.

“Let’s name her Ruby,” he said.

“That’s a beautiful name,” you said running your finger on her cheeks.

“I’m sorry I messed up your performance,” you said remembering what had happened earlier.

“It’s alright. The boys handled it pretty well.” Suho gave you a kiss on your temple.

“Can we come in now,” Beakhyun poked his head inside and asked impatiently.

You and Suho both chuckled.

“I’ll hold her first!” Chanyeol announced.

“But I already called dibs,” Kyungsoo pouted.

You and Suho couldn’t help but laugh at them. Together, you all were a one big happy family.

Nerd Problems [Suho]

Requested by anon

**[My 50th EXO scenario —-> Can’t wait for my 100th] **

“Are you dropping him or should I drop him today?” Suho asked you while eating breakfast.

“No, I’ll drop him on my way,” you replied.

“Honey, are you alright?” you asked In su.

He didn’t look up and continued to play with the little toy in his hand. Suho looked at him too now. He looked at you with questioning eyes as if asking you what was wrong.

“His teacher called yesterday,” you said in a low tone.

“What was she saying?” he asked.

“She told me that he hasn’t been concentrating in class lately. I asked him what was wrong but he hasn’t said anything since yesterday.”

Suho got up and sat beside In su. “What’s up little buddy?”

In su shook his head and looked away.

“Did somebody say something to you?” he asked.

In su shook his head once again.

“Take me to school appa,” he said getting up from his seat.

“I’ll take you,” you interrupted.

“No let me take him,” Suho said holding his hand. “I’ll see you in the evening.” Him and In su gave you a quick peck on the cheek and left.

You sighed and went to your room to get ready for work but you just couldn’t stop worrying about your son. He had been very quiet for the past few days.

************************************************

You went around the school several times but you couldn’t find In su. All the students had left already then where could he be. ‘Maybe Suho picked him up. No, no why would he? He has long schedules today.’- you thought to yourself.

You ran inside and asked the staff members but they didn’t know where he was either. You finally decided to call Suho and ask him. He was your last hope.

“Hey,”

“Hey,” he replied.

“Did you pick up In Su already?” you asked before he could say anything else.

“Ahh no, I thought you were picking him today since you got off early from..”

“Oh my God,” you said meekly. You felt your heart sink. This is exactly what you were afraid off.

“What happened?”

“He isn’t in school. I checked all the rooms and I even asked the teachers.” You said with a crying voice.

“Okay ______, calm down calm down,” he tried to comfort you.

“I told you, something was up with him. Suho I’m so scared,” you were actually crying now.

“I’m going to be there okay, just give me 15 minutes.” He hung up on you and hurried out the doors.

You paced up and down in the corridor, your heart beating faster than ever.

“Are you looking for someone?” a lady came up behind you and asked. She looked like one of the teachers.

“My son In su,” you said, still not being able to recover from your panic state.

“In su?”

“Ye,”

“He wasn’t in class all day today,” she said.

“What?” you cried in surprise.

“Ye, he’s in my class. In fact I think we talked on the phone yesterday too. I thought you didn’t send him to school today.”

“No , no, no I did send him to school,” you said holding your palm up to your forehead. You were panicking more than before now. You sat on a small bench behind you because your body felt too weak.

“__________ ah, were are you?” Suho called you while entering the building. You ran towards him and hugged him.

“She said he didn’t come to school at all today,” you said between sobs. “I want my son Suho, I just want my son.”

He patted your head and looked at the lady standing behind you.

“I dropped him at the entrance myself today. There is no way he wasn’t in school. Are you sure we are talking about the same In su?”

“Yes I’m sure. I talked to your wife yesterday too.”

You pulled away from Suho and looked at her too. You eyes were red and puffy.

“Where could he be?” you asked both of them.

“Do you have a picture of him?” he asked.

“Ye,” you said taking them it of your purse.

“Okay I’m going to make multiple copies of this and give them to the boys. They can probably help us with this.”

“Are we going to tell the police?” you asked.

“Ye, I’ll give them a call too. Just wait here okay. I’ll come back in a bit and then we can go search for him together.”

You could see that Suho was trying hard to stay calm and not cry. He was equally worried but he wanted to stay strong, for you.

**************************************************

Suho came back after a while and both of you left the school to look for your little one. You guys went around every street market and every park but no luck. Nobody had seen him.

You sat on a bench in the park and buried your face in your hands. Suho sat beside you to hold you.

“It’s getting dark,” you said still crying.

“I know.” Suho pulled you into a hug. “Don’t cry. We’ll find him.”

“Where could he be? He’s been missing since this morning. Anything could happen to him… I want my son back.” you said shaking your head. Suho finally broke down ad began crying. You could hear his sniffles. It made you cry even more. Both of you held each other tightly and sobbed.

His phone began ringing, suddenly.

“Hello,”

The voice on the other side said something. Suho suddenly jumped up. He pulled you out of the park while still on the phone.

“Yeah, .. ahan.. okay I’m coming.”

“What?” you asked.

“Luhan and Chanyeol found him.”

You couldn’t believe what he had said for a second but as it slowly started to sink in. You felt the energy coming back into you.

“Oh thank God,” you took a sigh of relief but you were still worried. You weren’t going to relax till you saw him in front of you and held him in your arms.

*****************************************

You jumped out of the car and ran towards Chanyeol who was holding In su.

“Where did you go?” you asked him holding him tightly. Suho came up behind you and took him from you. He hugged him tightly too.

“Where were you? We were looking all over for you.”

“Okay both of you need to calm down. You guys are scaring him,” Said Luhan. He was right. In su did look scared.

All 5 of you went to a restaurant nearby and settled on the seats in the corner.

“Call the rest of them and tell them we found him,” Luhan said to Chanyeol. he nodded back.

“Talk to me In su,” Suho said softly.

He didn’t say anything.

“In su, you need to tell us what’s going on so we can help you with this,” you added.

He didn’t say anything but instead buried his face in Luhan’s chest.

“Give him some time,” Chanyeol suggested.

“Nobody wants to be my friend,” In su finally said after a long silence.

“Wha..”

Suho held your hand to stop you. He took In su from Luhan and had him sit on his lap.

“Who doesn’t want to be your friend?”

“Everybody,” he said fixing his glasses.

“Why?”

“Because they think I’m a nerd.” A tear rolled down his cheek. Your heart ached at what he’d said. Nothing felt worst than seeing your own son cry.

“Aww nobody thinks that. Why would you say that?” Suho hugged him.

“Because they call me a nerd,” he said.

Both you and Suho were speechless. You didn’t know how to make him feel better. You regretted changing his school now. He missed his friends. Both of you felt like you weren’t good parents. You looked at Suho and he at you.

“Well then they don’t know that they will be working for you one day,” Luhan said suddenly and touched In su’s nose.

A smile spread on his face. “And besides, they are not your real friends anyways. I am sure you’ll make good friends soon. Give it some time.” Chanyeol added.

“Promise?” Insu asked uncle Chanyeol.

“Promise,” Chanyeol messed his hair and tickled him. You’d heard In su laugh for the first time since the past week. A smile spread on your face too.

“Do you want me to get you some ice cream?” Suho asked him.

He nodded. “But you have to promise me you won’t run away from school ever again. Your mom and I were worried about you.”

“I won’t,” he said shaking his head and opening his arms so you could hug him.

“I’m sorry umma,” he said.

You kissed him on his cheeks. “Don’t ever do that again.”

“I won’t,” he said wrapping his arms around you tightly.

You and Suho both nodded to Chanyeol and Luhan to say thank you. They really had helped both of you today.

Differences [Suho]

Requested by anon Naiya

You rested your head on Suho’s arm and sighed.

“Something wrong?” he asked.

“Nothing. I’m just really tired.”

“That’s why I keep telling you to quit your job. You don’t need to work. What am I there for?” Suho asked.

“Not again Suho, please,” you said not wanting to start an argument again.

He sighed and pulled you closer.

***Ring Ring*** his phone rang.

“Who could that be at this hour?” you said.

“I dunno, let me check.”

Suho answered the phone.

“Oh Ai, Annyeongyhasaeyo Umma.”

“Aaaa,”

“Ahan.. ahan but what about..”

“Okay..”

“Yeah alright..”

The conversation ended. Of course you’d only heard Suho’s side of it.

“So what did she say?” you asked.

“My parents want to meet you,” he said pulling a bright smile on his face.

Your heart sank.

“What?” you gasped.

“Wait, is there something wrong with that?” Suho asked. His expressions getting hard.

“Anneyo, but this will be my first time meeting them. You should have at least given me some time to get ready for this.”

“Shouldn’t you always be ready?” he asked.

“I know I should be but my Hangul isn’t that good. How will I communicate with them? And what if I do not fit their criteria of an idol future daughter-in-law.”

“Relaaxxx.. you’ll be fine. Just act like yourself… wait actually don’t do that.”

“What?” you shot him a look.

“No I mean, act a little bit more traditional around them okay?”

“Okay,” you said and sighed.

You knew this was going to be trouble. If you and Suho had trouble communicating than there were definitely going to be problems with his parents.

****************************************

“Annyeonghasaeyo  Mr. and Ms. Kim.” You bowed and greeted both of Suho’s parents. You looked up and both of them were glaring at you . You looked at Suho and he was shaking his head while eyeing you. His mother looked at him with a stern expression and said something in Hangul.

“What?” you whispered.

“You never address them by their names.”Suho said grinding his teeth.

“What’s wrong with that?” you asked.

“Shhhh,” he glared and told you to be quiet.

Suho’s father said something to him in Korean and he translated for you.

“My parents invited some guests over too. You should meet them.”

“I’d love to,” you said smiling back.

You followed Suho into the living room and greeted everybody.

“Oppa, come over here. There is space next to me” you yelled across the room as you saw Suho looking for a place to sit.

Everybody in the room turned around and looked at you but you didn’t notice. You got up and held Suho’s arm.

“Come sit with me,” you said pulling a smile.

Suho glared at you once again. You turned around and looked at everybody. There was unrest in the room. The ladies were whispering. You saw Suho’s mother leave the room. Suho followed close behind.

Nothing was going right. You were feeling bad now. You walked out of the room. Suho and his mother were in the kitchen. She sounded angry and frustrated. With the little Hangul that you knew, all you could make was that she did not like you at all.

“I told you, she isn’t right for you. There will always be cultural differences. Does she not know how to act at a gathering? I love you my son and I want what’s best for you. This relationship of yours won’t go anywhere if this keeps happening,” she suddenly stopped and looked at you.

“So now, she will eavesdrop on our conversation,” she said. Suho turned around and looked at you.

He was disappointed.

“Minahe,” you apologized while taking a step back.

Suho advanced towards you but one of the guests came into the kitchen.

“When are we eating dinner?” she asked.

“Oh, in a minute. Everything is set on the table. Let’s call everybody,” Suho’s mother said nervously and left.

“___________, please don’t let me down,” Suho whispered.

“I’m sorry,” you replied. You wanted to cry. You were trying so hard but nothing was going in your favor.

At dinner, you were too lost in your thoughts to notice what was going on around you.

“Ahem, ahem.. we do not put our elbows on the table,” Suho’s mother said sternly while looking at you.

You brought yourself back to reality and apologized once again.

*************************************

“Well tonight went well,” you said as you opened the door.

“Seriously! You think tonight went well,” Suho yelled.

You had no idea how mad he was. You were just being sarcastic and he took it seriously.

“That’s not what I meant..”

“I am not in the mood to joke right now okay!,” Suho said slamming the bathroom door behind him.

Up till now you had felt bad for not being able to impress his parents but this was just too much. It was as if Suho couldn’t even see your efforts. You began to cry.

“Now, please don’t cry,” he said softly as he came out of the bathroom.

You didn’t respond. He came and kneeled down pulling your hands away from your face.

“I should just leave,” you said.

“What?” he asked with a surprised expression.

“She’s right Suho. I will never be able to fit in. No matter how hard I try,” you said and got up. “I’ll leave tomorrow morning.”

Both of you lay in the opposite corners of the bed. Neither of you knew what to say. You had been in a relationship with him for a year. You guys understood each other but there were always problems. He didn’t want you to work but you wanted to be independent. His parents hated you, and he never stood up for you. Most of the time when you said something, he’d take it the wrong way. Sometimes you just wished you could express yourself freely but you couldn’t.

A tear fell from your eyes as you thought about leaving him. You were wondering if he was thinking of the same thing. Tonight was going to be the last night the two of you shared the same bed.

*************************************

Suho woke up to the noise of you pulling everything out of the closet. He rubbed his eyes and got out of bed. You stopped for a second and looked at him. Deep down you wanted him to say something. Your heart ached at his silence. How could he be so insensitive? He was just going to let you slip away like this while you cried your heart out the night before.

“So you’re really leaving?” he finally said.

“Yeah,” you replied.

Suho got up and sat beside you. He held your hand.

“Is there anything I can do to stop you?” he asked.

You shook your head as your vision blurred because of the tears.

“I don’t think I can ever let go of you. Please don’t leave.”

“What’s the point Suho? It’s not like you ever defend me. I will always be wrong in your parent’s eyes.”

“I have to respect them.”

“I know and I’m not saying you shouldn’t but at least be a little bit more supportive… I really love you and I didn’t expect things to end like this.”

“Then don’t go.”

You were frustrated now. He couldn’t even understand what you were saying; how would he understand what you felt.

You got up and picked up your luggage. Suho pulled you back.

“I don’t want things to end like this. Please. I’ll talk to my parents okay?”

“That’s not the problem oppa, the problem is that we don’t understand each other well enough to..”

“Then we will start doing that. We’ll start taking out more time for each other.” He said pulling you closer. “You have no idea what last night was like for me. I can’t imagine my life without you. I know our cultures are very different but we need to prove every one wrong. We can do this _________. You and me together,” he said and kissed your hand. “I promise I will be more supportive.”

You were confused. Your heart was telling you to stop but your brain kept telling you to move on. In the battles between heart and brain; brain rarely wins. You hugged him tightly.  He ran his fingers through your hair and patted your head.

“I love you”

“I love you too,” he said and kissed you on your forehead.

Deep in your heart, all you hoped was for this relationship to stay strong and forever.
